I went and got my bike tuned up at Cranks. They told me I would need more than just the Basic tune-up, and told me I would need a new rear wheel, rim, chain, and spokes. They quoted me about $250-300. I told them that I am not an avid biker, but really just need a bike to get me to work at times, or from point a to b on occasion. I asked if it would be worth it for me to continue to put money into this one or just buy a new one. They told me that it would worth it for me to put the $300 in since to buy a new one of similar caliber, it would be about $700+. Once they repaired it, when I came to pick up my bike, I noticed that the front wheel was sticking when biking (as if the breaks were constantly on), and when I asked them about it, they told me that I realistically would need another new tire and breaks to make it function, adding another couple hundred to my cost. I felt like i had just gotten scammed, as when they did the initial quote, this was left out. I've tried to use my bike a few times this summer and the ride is incredibly unpleasant and very difficult to bike - it really deters me from using my bike. The owner tried to provide a quick fix for free, but it hasn't improved. When I asked for some of a refund, they said no. I feel like i'm out $300 and a bike. I really don't feel like I was provided honest help, and I feel taken advantage of due to my lack of knowledge around bikes. I would not recommend this shop if you are not an avid biker, and want an honest opinion for your bike needs.

How can you not love a shop that has a dog in it! Finn was a good boy. Ok, now the shop. Needed a flat front tire fixed. We were asked if we could wait 10 minutes and they would do it right away. We said sure and the bike was up on its way to be fixed. There a comfy couch to hang out on, over several small shops in the neighbourhood to check out. Anyways, the bike was ready in the 10 minutes as promised. The shop also pointed out a couple of screws that needed to be tightened or fixed. There was no pressure to have the shop do this or anything. The chain did need to be oiled and we purchased the oil to do it at home. However, the staff took oil and showed us how to apply for future use. Such a great shop.

I was excited to see a new bike shop open up in the area - especially one that provides an opportunity to make cycling a little more affordable and accessible. Mustafa was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. While I am told the optimum number of bikes is N + 1, I will be looking to sell one bike. In the meantime, can’t wait to take this new ride (State Bicycle Company) out for a spin. I found a bike online I liked, turns out Quick Cranks was able to order it for me. After submitting a form online, the owner called me and we chatted about the bike, I stopped in on the Wednesday, put a refundable $100 deposit down and ordered the bike. They had it ready to ride by Saturday. Everyone at the shop was super friendly, they’ve got a good selection of accessories, bikes and brands. I left the shop and went for a 20km bike ride on my new commuter. Super happy with the bike and the service. Thank you.

I stopped by this bike shop today to get some help setting up a running stroller I bought off Facebook. The staff were soo helpful and professional and kind...they helped me set up the tires and pumped them up for me and very patiently showed me how to do it myself in the future. These guys are awesome, and very knowledgeable, I am very grateful for their help! I will definitely be back with my bikes this spring when they need a tuneup. Highly recommend this place!

The crew at Quick Cranks are so friendly, knowledgeable and fast! I bring my bikes in every year for maintenance. They accommodate last minute issues (like a popped tire from a pothole). It’s easy to tell that they genuinely care about helping the community and are passionate in what they do. Could not recommend this place enough!
