At first seeing so many bad reviews I thought to myself, this is probably just because people can be frustrated when it comes to financial things, but no, I can confidently say that I regret ever walking through those doors. Because due to nothing other then the sheer incompetence of an employee at this branch I lost almost $1000 in a forced return of an investment fund, that I was assured several times by this employee would not happen and was my entire reason for visiting the branch in the first place. I am beyond angry about this situation and as any working class person navigating these times would agree, a grand is a lot of money to be thrown into the wind by the negligence of a stranger, and to be told there is nothing that can be done about it is incredibly frustrating. For your own sake, do not go to this bank.
The standards of service at RBC has deteriorated drastically in the past few years. However, this particular branch managed to hit a new low. An employee named Michael J announced that my address does not exist. The beutiful part is that the RBC is a mortgage holder ot this particular property! I specifically called to imprint my phone number on the call display just to get a note that my phone number does not exist! The level of incompetence is set at a new high (or low?). The client care simply does not care. The only thing RBC is good at is collecting a bunch of service fees providing zero service!
Ling and her manager, which her name I unfortunately didn't catch, are a couple of lifesavers. I had a meeting in another city and needed a bank draft and long and her manager were bending over backwards to help me retrieve the funds. I could not have done it without these two wonderful ladies. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Both very professional and compassionate to my ridiculous situation and solved my problem in a very efficient manner. Thank you is more than an understatement for what I'd like to say for what these woman did for me.
I had been with RBC since ever but the tonight service was very bad. Our appointment got canceled by saying that was an error in the system then the lady said she will call me in 10 min to book a new one, she never called me back and when I called the number she used there was no answer and no way to leave a message because the inbox was full. Later I spoke to another agent and no working appointments were available. I am sure that our appointment which was supposed to be on Saturday got canceled because it was given to someone else. Very disappointed.
This bank used to be terrible and thought it couldnt get much worse. But wait I was wrong. This isnt even a bank. They do not accept change or even carry change. This is an all digital location. Make you cash in your money at an ATM which I can do anywhere. This is the beginning of Digital banking and the transition to CBDC's and digital credits. Avoid this location at all costs. They are literally working these ppl out of work. Worst idea ever. I travel to other branches for real banking. Nice ppl. Terrible business idea.
I have had the pleasure of dealing with a couple of personnel at this James Mowatt branch and I have received nothing but great service! My elderly mother has a language barrier so I assisted her on a few transactions and they were nothing but accommodating , patient and helpful. I should've been more diligent in remembering all of their names but they sure remembered us. They even remembered and wished my son a great trip overseas! Thank you Mervat for making my mother at ease with your friendly customer service.
Refused to provide service because they were “closing soon.” I walked in 10 minutes prior to close. They should lock their doors 15 mins prior to close if they don’t want to take care of their clients until their day end. What’s most remarkable is that the teller answered a personal call on her own cell phone while I was standing in front of her. She told me “I’m sorry, this is my daughter, I have to take this.” She then left me standing at the counter. Unbelievably terrible service.
Went to cash a company cheque, the African American female bank manager denied the cashing of cheque after I asked why can’t you cash a verified cheque, she replies with “I base the Holds on if I cash a cheque on who is sitting in front of me” Me, heavily tattood was discriminated against in the largest degree. This woman should be fired or suspended without pay for such an insanely rude and discriminatory way of handling herself. Table your money out of this bank and go elsewhere .
Pack a lunch and be prepared for a long wait. If I could give zero stars I would. Tellers are ridiculously slow and customer service is nonexistent. Unfortunately I have to make business deposits there; otherwise I would never set foot in that place. Some will say this is racist, but it’s just a fact: not one teller speaks clear English and that in itself is beyond frustrating. If you don’t have to go to this branch….DON’T
Not a bank anymore!!! Only looking to serve people who want to invest. Eliminated basic services. Limited to ATM. Just a couple tables with laptops. I will be closing all my accounts, and business credit cards. Unless location. The other banks have been asking me for years to use our business credit cards at their branches. Well now it will be done. So disappointed RBC.
Worst Customer service ever, while in 22 century and when everything's online, customer can not even make e transfer, safely, made a e-transfer, never received 2000$ in my account. Call bank kept on hold for more than 1 hour. When the whole world making online transactions, as a RBC customer I am waiting for 18 days for my money to get into my account.
After being denied service at the Heritage RBC, I took my business to the Rutherford branch and was treated with respect and the service was handled without issue. The manager, Kristen, is one of the nicest branch managers I have ever dealt with. The CSR was a young man who had just started working for RBC and his service and manners were spot on.
This branch has been converted to a "Digital Branch and Meeting Place". There are NO tellers. What's the point of a "Digital Branch", where the only services available are those that are accessible through online banking? I'm coming to the branch because I need to do something that CAN'T be done online.
I have opened my moms account here with Kristin she so nice and helpful, and the lady June is sweet and she's really lovely helping with my families and kids during the process, and all other girls are helpful too. I am really appreciate for the service from this brack and will highly recommend
Ling Zhou is an excellent FA who always has my best interests at heart. She provides detailed explanations to help me fully understand my investments. The service she provides is unmatched, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring advisor.
What's the point of this branch? Every time I go, I either get a questionnaire about what I do with my money or they tell me to call RBC! That's why I came to the branch... Honestly just have the ATM's mind as well..

It became just an useless branch. I had to deposit some cash on my rbc credit card and they couldn't do that. No tills there anymore. Don't waste your time.
This branch has been turned into a weird living room setting. It's weird, off-putting, and feels wildly insecure. I won't be back other than to use the ATM.
