"My wife and I visit this location quite a lot and although the theatres, seats, and bathrooms are usually great the concession stand needs a lot of work"
Awful experience. I went there because they had the time I needed to see a movie. I didn't want to buy tickets online because I didn't want to pay the extra fees. They don't have a person to sale you a ticket and only have one computer kiosk otherwise you would have to wait in the concession line to buy tickets which contributes to the long lines. All the good tickets were sold out had to get front row. It sucked. Couldn't see the movie good at all in the front row. They shouldn't even have those seats. You are so close everything is distorted. It was awful, popcorn was cold, they took forever to give me my pretzel. They never gave us a straw either, had to go back to ask for one. They really need to redo their concession stand. Set up is awful compared to embassy movie theater. Embassy lets you get your own drinks and popcorn. They also have like 4 computer kiosks to sale you a movie ticket. For the cherry on top, it was warm and muggy, AC sucked. Glad I didn't bring my blanket which I normally do but forgot. Northwoods get with times northwoods!!! Yes will defiantly wait for better day/movie to avoid this theater. Never again.
Just went to see Smile at 9:40pm on 10/9/22, a rated R movie, and to my surprise, there were multiple families with younger kids in the audience. As soon as it started, everybody was talking as if there was no movie playing. About 20 minutes into it I noticed the family of like 6 behind me with children probably around 10-12, and they would NOT STOP TALKING. Not even whispering, full on talking and yelling, commentating the whole movie. I feel like I just wasted $20 listening to a 12 year old yell at a movie screen for two hours all because nobody seems to be able to control their children. Not trying to be a karen, but if you can’t control your kids or teach them basic theater etiquette, don’t bring them to the movies, especially ones not even meant for kids. Not to mention there was no staff in the theater as far as I could see, so it’s not like I could go complain to them about it or they could control the noise level.
This theater is ok; and I would not recommend it to anyone who doesn’t live nearby. It’s location is great. And the screens and decor are fine and maybe even a little cute. The bathroom was a bit dated and the men’s sink had three faucets but only two worked (one literally had a hole where the knob was supposed to be). And none of them were automated. No paper towel option. The seats were fairly comfy. But suffered from a few issues. The recline button is not accessible for larger people. It’s on inside of the right side just below the armrest. If I moved it always activated the recline button so I was moving all movie. The recline process is also extremely loud. Like people in the next row and maybe farther away know you’re reclining. Also, the back doesn’t move at all (perhaps until you get to a farther stage in the recline).
First time back visiting since start of pandemic. Went on premiere night of Black Widow and was disappointed. Easy of online purchasing was great and convenient. However all food is purchased separately, no combo options. There was one cashier open while workers talked and went to the back room leaving a long line. Food we ordered wasn’t even room temperature and when I asked for a replacement they brought it back out just microwaved. Movie started so I didn’t go back after I sat down. There were no large signs promoting Black Widow. And lastly, the theater was so hot! Everyone had blankets assuming it would be comfortable and it was super uncomfortable. I don’t get hot easily but it was definitely hot. Wouldn’t return. I’ll make extra drive for another theater near us.
My wife and I visit this location quite a lot and although the theatres, seats, and bathrooms are usually great the concession stand needs a lot of work. There were five cashiers and two people just standing behind the cashiers. They were not helping just standing in the way. It took over 20 minutes to order stale flaming hot popcorn, nachos and one bottle of water. I wasn't asked if I had the unlimited program that offers a discount and was charged regular price even though I showed the cashier my phone with the app. Then to make things worse, theater number 10 was excessively hot. It was not even half full. I advised the associate cleaning about the air and he didn't even acknowledge my comment or respond even though he was looking at me directly.
This theater blows Regal Live Oak 18 out of the water. This place has had a complete seat renovation, and is now fitted with beautiful, plush, comfy, oversized, reclining leather seats that appear to have woofers installed beneath them. This, combined with what appears to be 4K projection and stellar surround sound, lends itself to an amazing theatrical experience. I saw A Star Is Born here recently, and it didn’t even come close to the screening I saw at Regal Live Oak 18. Which is really sad, because they’re the same company. I shouldn’t have to choose between them. But I will now definitely steer clear of Live Oak 18 until they decide to finally get with the times and renovate their seats!
Go to Santikos please it’s a little bit more money but so worth it. Me and my girlfriend went to see the new Insidious movie and I was shocked at how bad the theater has become. I don’t know how this theater is getting 5 stars from anyone. If you have been to any Santikos establishment in San Antonio you will understand how awful this movie theater is. Almost every toilet had feces in it and was clogged. The seats had leather falling off of them and the concessions were very limited. I can not stress how much better Santikos is. This will be the last time I attend this theater. That is until Santikos buys them out. I would not recommend spending your hard earned money here.
It has been about a year & a half since my last visit to any movie theater and it is so nice to have a semblance of normalcy again. Grabbing some nachos & cheese, popcorn, and a slushee while kicking back in a comfy recliner was an absolute delight. There was no social distancing enforced on the seats but luckily the theatre was no where near full so we were a good distance from everyone. My only gripe was getting in line at the concessions stand, seeing 3 workers behind the counter, and only having 1 line open which caused an unnecessary line to form. Regardless, it was a nice visit and nice to see a movie on a proper screen again.
Myself, my wife & a friend attended the showing of Back to the Future Saturday 10/21/2023 scheduled for 7pm. All staff were very friendly, theater was clean, snacks were tasty. Manager Robert (believe that's his name) informed patrons of a delay due to a computer glitch. Manager & staff were very attentive to patrons needs during the delay, offering complimentary snacks, movie passes, even a trivia game among patrons for prizes. Film eventually ran (1.21 gigawatts!) & all was well. Kudos to a caring manager & staff, will definitely be back! Please bring more 80s classic films, maybe some John Hughes. Thanks!
Went to watch a movie with my son. Went to the concession stand to purchase our tickets. After everything was paid for, he then got his manager and said that he made a mistake. After the manager made the corrections he told her about. She then said that it was an additional $4.30. I just said that it wasn't my fault that he made a mistake and that I paid for everything already. She then said I can pay the difference or she could refund my money back to me.very unprofessional and condescending tone. Will not be returning there. And will be letting all of my friends and family know not to go there anymore.
The place is showing its age. Chairs are pretty worn out but not uncomfortable. As you come in it gets confusing as the tickets are sold in the concession stand which makes the lines extra long. For some reason they still have a line to check for tickets at the entrance before you can get to the concession stand. After standing in line to get to tickets at the only kiosk they have, one of the staff members finally told us to go to the concession stand. So don't make my mistake and just walk straight in. I don't go to movies very often so I will probably skip this location in the future.
It's a pretty nice movie theater. Decently clean, and of course all the items are radically overpriced. But, what do you expect as that's how movie theaters work. The only feedback I have for them is that I wish their concession counter help hustled a bit more. I understand they're not getting paid a million dollars an hour, but waiting for them to leisurely grab a couple sodas or popcorn tub at a snail's pace is a bit annoying considering most of their work shift is actually spent standing around doing diddly squat while all the patrons are sitting in the theaters.
The seats were nice and everything was amazing. But I was trying to buy the minions combo at around 11:05 and when I went there they said they were closed so they couldn’t sell anything. So I went back to my movie and later on searched up when they close. It said 11:30. I was so upset when I saw that. It wasn’t even that there wasn’t anymore popcorn because right after I asked, the people standing behind me got a refill on their large popcorn. I don’t know if they can’t sell at 11:05 or if it was the worker being lazy in giving me the minion combo.
After reading other reviews I went in with low expectations. Some reviews stated old seats, bad smells, and bad decor. I was surprised when I got greeted by a friendly staff and the theather lobby just smelled like popcorn and nothing else. The prices for the snacks are a bit on the high end side at around $8 for large popcorn. The seats are extremely comfortable ,with spacious armrests, and they recline almost all the way back. As you can see in the pictures the decor is decent and the place isn't dirty. All in all I would totally go back again.
Please please please I beg you to save your money and go to Santikos instead. The Regal theater is disgusting, the seats are in horrible conditions, all reaped off and scratched, the holders are sticky from sodas that have not been cleaned and on top of that they make you watch 15 minutes of advertisements AFTER the time your movie supposed to start and then 15 minutes of trailers. It’s insulting, they just trap you there and push ads on to you, I hope they run out of business because they clearly don’t care about establishment and customers.
Visited this theater during Sunday matinee with my fiance to see Guardians of the Galaxy 3. The staff were polite and helpful. It could have gotten 5 stars however the theater room was humid and muggy. Luckily the a/c kicked on halfway through the movie. The popcorn was hot on the top cold on the bottom when we got it like they were using old popcorn and covering it with fresh popcorn. Reclining seats are always a winner however their seats are super close together and narrow. Would have liked a little more elbow room. Overall 3.5/5
One star is too many for this place, before you even get to the movie itself, there is a governmental level of confusion, and a complete lack of efficiency to get concession and tickets. The one kiosk they have is non-functional. Spent so long in line we were late to the movie, and elected not to go. Arrived 20 minutes early, waiting in a line with 4 people ahead of us for 30 addition minutes. There was a lady in there buying tickets for the 22nd, today is the 9th, so she might make it to the movie, it's that slow.
Went to see Spiderman No Way Home. Concession line was really slow. Staff clearly were paid by the hour and couldn't be bothered to hustle. Drink options are limited - no fancy multi dispensers there. Large drink was almost 7 bucks. Popcorn was just okay. Seats are decent and do recline but if you are fully reclined it's tough for people to squeeze in front of you. Sound was good and projector was good. It's an okay theater but definitely a step down from other theaters in the area like the Embassy 14 off Bitters.
Update 07/03/2023 adjusting to one star. AC sucks bad sweating in theater only 90° outside at 730. If you like overpriced stuff broken recliners and sweating this theater is for you. 15$ for 1 small popcorn an 1 drink with half price discount on pop corn. For kids day ,thats crazy did they jack up price before they cut it half. Glad I was just there for the dollar film for 3 kids don't want to know the price on 3 full price an if they didn't share. But didn't finish popcorn anyway.
Worst guest experience! We usually go to Alamo Drafthouse, however the movie we wanted to see was not there. We arrived 30 minutes early and got our popcorn and snacks only to find that the cleaning staff would not let us in the theater. They said, “it will be a while till you can get in.” My kids were sitting on the floor eating our warm food. Very annoying!! I went to get the Manager and she seemed to not understand why we would be annoyed. Definitely not coming back here.
Took family of 8 to see Trolls. Movie was great!! Movie theater and employees…now that’s a different story. Paid for 8 tickets. Was issued wrong tickets for wrong movie. Popcorn was old and stale. Theater seats were still dirty with sticky candy and popcorn on them. I mean seriously. For the prices of movies now days can we at least get clean seats and fresh popcorn…maybe the right expensive tickets…c’mon guys. Get it together.
If you open at 11, sell tickets online for a movie that starts at 11, and you have 50ish people waiting outside for you to open the doors at 11:20 but you won't... well it's a bad look. There are a lot of other places to see a movie. My favorite part is that the movie actually already started so we missed a chuck of it by the time we actually got into the theater at 11:30. I want my money back now
Somehow managed to purchase ticket to a whole other theater in another state using the Fandango app. When we arrived they let the manager know and he was understanding and said that this is not the first time this has happened with this app. He was very accommodating and made sure we had tickets to the show time we had purchased. A big thank you for saving us from having to purchase new tickets.
Absolutely love it here. The environment and employees are so friendly. Very clean theater. Love the variety at the conession. Everyone talks about the long wait for the conession, but honestly the past two weeks I've gone when there was a lot of people I've waited five minutes. They are very quick here, and make sure you get your snacks in time for your movie. Highly recommend!
Nice place, nice staff...only complaint is the recliner didn't recline both times I went- when I told the manager I was allowed to pick another seat and it did recline. There was great surround sound, I could feel my chair vibrate during intense moments in the movie- adrenaline pumping =) . It's a very convenient location close to 1604 and 281 with many good restaurants nearby.
The theatre was clean with good prices and good movie selections BUT poor lighting on parking grounds and my truck was vandalized and expensive medical equipment stolen. My vehicle was not the only one vandalized that evening. Could not get a hold of theatre personnel to report these incidents. I will not go there again snd not recommend this theatre due to safety concerns.
I greatly enjoy this movie theater. They had the amazing Comfort Seats, their popcorn is good, and they have a good selection of soda. The theater was pretty clean and has been my go-to theater ever since coming to Texas. I have tried several others but this one is definitely my wife's and I's favorite. Plus its partners with the application atom and so it's perfect
Immaturity at it’s worst. The young staff is condescending and dismissive. I’ve been multiple times and it gets worse every time so I have stopped going. They seem to be inconvenienced to do their jobs, take a long time to serve customers, and have a general air of annoyance. If you don’t like your customer-facing job then please apply for another job.
So it may be a user problem but when I reserved our seats with a friend that is handicap, I did not understand the picture to mean it was for a handicap chair. When 3 of us got there, there were only 2 chairs and the other was a space for a wheelchair. They ended bringing us a chair and gave us a free movie ticket. Kudos guys! Go see SOUND OF FREEDOM!
the seat recline so that's why there are 2 stars but the seats and arm rests are old and torn. The kitchen closes before ten and the concessions are crazy expensive, just like everywhere else. The cup holders had trash in them from the previous movie and PLEASE TURN OFF THE LIGHTS GIRLIE!!!! it's a movie theater. I wanna watch it in the dark, weirdos
I arrived at theater before they opened to see if I had left my purse. Catherine the manager was less than helpful and went further in not allowing her employees to assist me. She did not offer to escort me in to check for myself, offer to take my number to call if anyone turned in the purse. In fact she ignored me standing at the door for 5 minutes
So I get to the theater and pay for my concessions and sit down in the theater and realize I feel like it’s hot in the theater. So, I went and asked an employee and the employee said the “AC is broken”.. so my issue is this, why would you let me pay to watch a movie in a theater and buy concessions if the AC is broken? Like, seriously peeps!!!
Excellent theater with reclining seats and friendly staff. I had issues seeing a movie between emergencies and being called into work unexpectedly, but management was understanding. I was granted a swap for a different showing and when unable to see that showing I was provided a voucher for any showtime. This place is great, for sure
As part of the menu they advertise churro bites with caramel. I ordered that but got it without the caramel sauce. I asked them where was the caramel sauce and they said that they don’t give the churros with the caramel since months ago. So my question is why do you advertise something that you don’t have and charge like if you have it?
This is the best Regal theatre in San Antonio! The popcorn is delicious, they actually serve hot food (fries, burgers, chicken tenders, etc) and they have electronic reclining seats. Its never super crowded when I go. I have the Regal Unlimited membership so I come about 2 times per week and I have never been disappointed!!!
Exceptional theatre that's incredibly comfortable with reclining seats. The downside is the cost of the tickets and refreshments. I thought we paid a lot in New England... The refreshments were insanely expensive and definitely not worth the price. I'm glad I ate and drank before going to the movies.
Solid movie theater with comfortable seats. The theater is spacious and smells really good because there's really good popcorn right in front. Prices are reasonable so don't expect to pay a ton. The theater can be tough to find if you've never visited but once here you'll enjoy your time.
The movie was fine, it's a movie theater. Everything else wasa terrible. We ordered popcorn before we got there and still had to wait over 10 minutes for the popcorn and 1 drink. No butter, wasn't even given the option and no straw. I had to wait to flag someone down for a straw....
Waited forever in line for snacks because the kid working the counter was busy texting instead of doing his job. Double booked seats and got moved right down the front side where the view was awful. Disappointing experience, especially when it costs an arm and leg for a family of 4.
First Time to this movie theater . Delicious cheese for popcorn, nachos, or pretzels. Comfortable seating in recliners and the room had plenty of seating. The movie started on time, and we had no technical issues. Thank you to team TKS we had a great experience.
I haven't been to a movie theatre in years. I had a great time here before the pandemic taking my daughter to her first movie and see Frozen 2. Good food selection, comfortable seats, games. Go during the week for the best experience and to get the best view of the show.
How is that you run out of lemonade. So choice is unhealthy soda or 6$ water. The incompetence of managers these day have gone to poo. Then dirty theater sticky floors. Only good thing about this place is the seats are comfy. But the theater over all is not
Tonight was my first time to ever visit this theater. The kids working, that I encountered, were polite. Some looked tired but still smiled and had good customer service. I like the smaller size and it was pretty clean. Best of all, the sell Pepsi.
Wow! Times change. Trays for nachos & cups for drinks are so flimsy that they won't make it to your seats without falling on the floor or all over you. . Staff don't even say hi or good afternoon. Sad to experience this in such a great location.
Enjoyed the experience. Be careful picking seating. They don't have a customer service center or people at the front box office, so you have to get in line again to change seating. And there was only 2 registers open when we went. Long lines.
Food could be better. Specifically burgers and chicken strips. Other theaters have better food. Restrooms needs attention. Womens toilets were spraying out during flush. Men's room smelled like urine. Reclining seats and theater were great.
I used to enjoy this theatre but the last few times I’ve gone there has been an issue. The movie started 20 minutes late, or the sound was off. I feel like other theaters have taken the top spot from Regal it’s just not what it used to be.
We saw Avatar and the movie was great - sound great but it was so hot in the theatre I literally left there sweating! I complained to staff prior to the movie and they assured me it would cool down but never did! I will not go there again!
Overall it was a good experience. The reason I deducted one star is for the prices. It cost about $43 for two adult tickets, a large popcorn and a large drink. We shared both items. Getting out of the heat in the afternoon was priceless.
everyone really liked the movie and all, seats recline and the theater was comfortable. the problems happened after we left the theater. few hours later, i found i had explosive diarrhea and crapped myself. i blame it on the popcorn.
I'm not joking. Honestly the best movie theater I've ever been too. Great snacks and amazing drinks and the best part is their reclining seats. (Suggestion: bring a blanket to increase warmth on thighs to reduce the urge to pee)
Saw the new "left behind" film and it was great. The auditorium was clean and the seating is excellent...BUT the two hotdogs with stale, hard buns, oversalted small popcorn and two small slushies for $38 felt a little criminal.
Seats are all worn out they need to be replaced for what u spend at the movies u would thnk they could re-upholster the seats. Maybe train the staff to move with a purpose takes forever to get your popcorn and drink omg …
The best cinemas I have had been on, the the seats are very comfortable, so clean. Since they played: "The Simpsons" maybe 12 years ago, then "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "The Rocketman" and many more, will come back so soon!
It was the first time I went and saw a movie in the morning. They didnt have enough people working there so we missed the first few minutes of the show. All the napkins holders were empty. We had to wait for that also.
Watched a Hindi Movie for the first time at Regal and it felt good. I am happy to see Jawan screened here. It was a great outing with so many of our friends and families out there. Overall it was a great experience !!
The seats and theaters are good. The concession counter takes forever. I'm not kidding on the forever. Come at least 30 minutes early on weekends. I wish I could skip that mess but I love Starry and Popcorn to much.
Confusing set up. There’s only 1 kiosk to buy tickets. You can buy them at the concessions, but that makes the wait in the concession line longer. Once that’s all done though, the theater seats were clean & comfy.
Over all a pretty good experience. Movie theaters are pretty clean but their apps keeps glitching and they need to fix it. I have Prichard several tickets and one is suppose to be free but it keeps charging me.
Nice large seats with plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The sound was also nice with good bass and rumble, the higher pitch sounds did get a little shrill at times. It was an enjoyable experience for me.
I have the all you can see pass. I'll visit at least twice a month. The staff is friendly and the concessions are standard. I highly recommend to open food ordering online for all the items (not just popcorn)
We love the seats in this theater and if Battle is behind the snack bar, the popcorn will be the BEST if you enjoy extra butter! Overall, it will be difficult to go to another theater after enjoying this one.
Had been a while since we went to the movies, saw last showing of Father Stu on Tuesday. Theater was clean, the recliner seats were awesome and the movie was excellent. Perfect way to bring in Holy Week.
We like this theater, the seats recline all the way, so it's pretty comfy. The concession is not as highly priced as some other theatres, especially if you have Regal club card, you get a discount.
Went to see Dracula as a fun Halloween activity with family. Easy check in, wonderful pop corn aromas, wide hallways, restrooms doors were not propped open, seats were large and comfy. Phenomenal!
This was such a nice theater. Comfortable chairs and large screen. I was really very impressed with the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior. The bathrooms were spotless.
The movie theater was nice. Had some of the most comfortable reclining seats ever. However I'm big on food. Their concessions were seriously lacking. I would recommend Santikos.
The prices are always great and the cinema is always clean. the spicy chicken sandwich taste delicious! Their theaters have recliners. Staff is awesome helpful and friendly.
I just sat through 30 mins of previews before the movie began. Start time was at 12p and the opening credits for Columbia just began. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
Hey! do you think that I could talk to someone from the theater via phone, please give me a number that dose not hang up on me with out giving me a real person.
I love this movie theater. It is always clean and the associates are so friendly. If you watch a big blockbuster movie, there is a cup and popcorn container.
Smelled like throw up in our theater, can't really make any other determination outside of the throw up smell. It should have been professionally cleaned.
Found my keys, and were supper nice and kept them safe overnight. Good service too at consessions. Overall awesome experience. 10/10 would recommend.
Wow, awesome upgrades I'm impressed. Haven't been here in awhile due to moving out of town. Didn't know they had reclining seats. I love it for sure.
Nice theater with reclining seats. Not a luxury experience with actual food or alcoholic beverages but nice if you’re ok with a popcorn and soda.
Very clean! Recliner seating is perfect. Sound stage was good too! One of the best theatres I have been to and the matinee prices are very fair.
Clean movie theater. Seats are comfy. Temperature in the theater is hit or miss. Sometimes it’s really cold and other times it’s hot and muggy.
My first time visiting with a good friend! It was a great mid-point from San Antonio and Cibolo! Great atmosphere and loved the comfy chairs!
Great atmosphere! They just need to work on being a little more attentive at concessions. I put in a mobile order and waited for about 20min.
Clean theater and staff is so friendly! I have Regal Crown Club and this is my favorite location to come to! The seats and great spacious!
Clean! Remodeled! Great Service! Recliners.... REAL leg lifting recliners!!Recliners!!! Only thing holding back the 5th star is a bar...
First time there. Was visiti g family in San Antonio. Love the seats! Also, I love the fact that it was not freezing in the theater.
Was dissapointed there was no tables on the recliners in order to place pop corn, or the food ordered. Do they sell wine and beer.
Usually really good but there were a few people that wouldn't shut up during the movie and no one to clean up after the movie
Really spacious reclining seats. Very comfortable. Fell asleep right away. Most comfortable theater I've ever been in.
Great theatre! Comfortable seats and layout, classic feel to the marquee and really enjoyed it, can't wait to go back
There are so many choices on snacks! The app is easy to use and is a great way to reserve tickets and earn points.
Love the reclining seats! Bring a blanket or dress warm. It is about 68° in there! We'll definitely be back. Xo
Seats and flooring are nice. And a awesome cashier. Thank you for your kindness and funny personality Ezequiel.
Since the upgrade of reclining seats, this location has always been kept clean and has great food menu options.
My favorite movie theater. I like the reserved seating and staff they do there best to get you taken care of.
Sound is painfully loud! Volume is so high your seat shakes!...if you want to ruin your hearing go there !
Every theater we've sat in for the past two movies it had been extremely warm, the ac not working at all
Pretty nice theater. Only downside is you don’t get to pour your own drinks or butter your own popcorn
Theater was nice. Snack prices were too damn high like they all are. At least the tickets were free.
Normal movie theater no issues. Not as crowded as others so.good choice if you dont like.crowds
It open, clean and staff has great customer service. The seats are recliners and comfortable.
My favorite Regal in San Antonio. The men’s bathroom could use some physical repair though.
It was great. They need to bring back food menu and have some healthy options also.
Manager is super helpful. 10/10 would recommend. Only ever had a great time here.
