Least favorite theater in my neighborhood. I live in Shoreline and I'll only go if Regal 7 Alderwood in Lynnwood isn't playing what I want to see. It's your typical movie theater. I just don't like that it's 4 stories built up. So your choice is a very long wait for the elevator or go in and upward spiral via stairs or escalator, which can be frustrating if running late and /or never been to this theater before. Also a bit dizzying should you have issues with vertigo or high ceilings. They have reserved stadium seating not the new fancy recliner kinds that I myself like to splurge and treat myself too. They have a parking structure that can also be confusing if you don't attend this shopping area often and I believe it's only 3 hour parking. So just see a movie and leave. No issues with the viewing or customer service itself. Just the layout for me really allows me to rate so low. I believe a concession stand can be found on every other floor. Over priced per usual for movie theatre so that's nothing new.

The view of the Light Rail from the west facing curtain wall of windows is super nice at night but other than that, the screens seem small and so do the seats. But the one thing I really hate about this theater are the three (or is it 4) sets of escalators you need to take to get to the screening rooms. It's just odd and because the area of the theater is so narrow it always feels like a coffin to me. Then you have kids and teenagers running up and down the stairs and escalators like a jungle gym, it just feels like a place for junior high and high schoolers; which typically adults do not want to be around, even their own kids. One of the good things with this venue is the parking is free, so that's a huge plus, but other than that it's a mixed bag and I try to avoid.

I came here for an A24 screening. The process for the screening was quick and seamless. In terms of the facility, it was nice and well kept. This location is pretty massive with tons of larger theaters. The seats were cushy, but they are made more for the average taller person. I'm 5'2 and it was hard to actually sit in them as my feet were dangling for 2 hours. If I attempted to sit with my feet planted in the ground I was a good 10 inches away from the chair. The chairs do not recline. So keep that in mind for folks that are around and below this height. The staff was nice. The concession area offers the basics, I didn't get a chance to try it. Parking is super convenient and located right downstairs. There are a few restaurants to try around the theater.

Screen X is pretty cool. The movie is projected on the side walls as well as in front of you. We say Top Gun Maverick and about 20% of the movie used all three surfaces. The other 80% of the movie was "normal" in that it was only projected on the screen in front. Tickets were about $20 each. We purchased tickets online a few prior and chose our seats at that time. I would recommend sitting as far back in the theater as you can (we sat in the last row and it was perfect). The concession line was ridiculously long (almost to the escalator). It appeared there were only two people working and they needed at least four. It cost me an additional $17 for a small popcorn and a medium soda (which is insane but on par with movie theater prices).

I saw a movie preview here that was enjoyable. A little tricky getting to if this isn't your usual theater. Parking lots nearby and parking below the building. An unconventional entrance with stairs and escalators. Small but tidy and clean with decent screens and good sound systems. Team was staffed full for once and that kept lines short and moving for the film. As usual the movie did start a little late which I don't like but have come to expect. Overall an enjoyable experience. Would go again and regularly if the theater was closer.

My luck.. Ran into a rude employee...i was there for Flash preview..which was supposed to start at 5:30 PM according to the email ... Went to ask this skinny looking tall guy at 6 about how long we have to wait in line... Very simple polite and genuine question... He was rude and showed to customer service skills... "email is not from us.. Just get back in line if you want to get in"...I was going to ask Regal is honoring the email to let me in but not honoring the time, how so? But The smart person in me decided to walk away.

Finally found the free parking underneath the theater complex, otherwise it is either pay or conditional parking everywhere else around the area. The theater is clean & airconditioned but can be tricky to find open seats in the dark. Apparently, gone are the days of an employee with a flashlight who will work with the late arriver to find a good seat. The front row is not a place one wants to see a film or will have to nurse a soar neck for a week after. My viewing experience was a pleasant one.

Pretty great theater in Seattle- convenient if you live in the University area or near Greenlake as it has many more showtimes and movies than most theaters and is not 21+. They also have some arcade games to play and two photo booths. Their snacks are expensive and the self-serve ticket kiosks don't work well, but it's a good theater with 3 hour free parking in the garage underneath. Also I love big buck hunter. Question: can I enter without a ticket just to play big buck hunter? Lol.

This theatre is nice. As usual these days, the prices are a little high (around $15) for an adult. I don't usually buy concessions, so i can't comment on the prices there. They will let you bring in an empty reusable water bottle to fill at the fountain, which I usually do. The screens are really large, the sound is great, and the chairs are really comfortable and lean back a bit. Parking here can be a little bit of a hassle, especially Friday and Saturday evenings.

Disappointed with this theater. Were in a pandemic and yet they have all of us sitting on top of each other, absolutely not one single person wore a mask, and no vaccine requirement. I’m terrified I have covid now. I expected SOME safety measures. On top of that, the theater was not clean. The seats are old and grungy. The cinema does Pepsi products. Only one restroom. It was freezing cold. We wore parkas for the entire film. Overall a very unpleasant experience.

  • Richard Cruz

Went to the IMAX movie theater, this was a pretty uncomfortable theater. No reclining seats, no legroom and seats are not the widest therefor you are shoulder to shoulder with whoever sits next to you. Theater was also dirty with food on the floor. Have to mention though, staff was very friendly and welcoming. They also worked the line at the concessions very efficiently ensuring customers did not wait too long.

  • Callie Albin

Went there with two other friends to see the new spiderman movie. The movie was great, seats were super comfy, the movie was projected well, snacks were kept fresh, and they definitely cleaned it before we came in. Plus once you get out of the movie theater there's multiple places where you can eat. Definitely go here if you wanna make some good memories and have fun. There's so much to do here and around.

I have the Regal Unlimited pass and so I split my time between the Meridian (downtown) and this one at Northgate. This theater doesn't have the recliner seating of downtown but the stadium seating is nice and the screens themselves are better. I've never had a complaint. The staff is always friendly, the building is clean, and there are great spots to grab food before or after the show.

  • Xochitl Castaneda

This is a nice theater that is centrally located. You could take the light rail to meet up here. There are numerous restaurants you can eat at before or after the show. We saw a movie on the 4th floor and had to take several escalators to get there. There is a concession stand that is not always open on the 4th floor. They have a great view of the train station from the 4th floor.

  • Дмитрий Рамсовой

Comfortable enough seats, but that's where the pluses end. Went to the movie, which is already going for 3 hours, besides the first half hour you watch advertising, attention, not 10 minutes, and the whole half hour for your money you include annoying advertising of all kinds of slag and movies, half of which you are not interested. Is it mentioned somewhere on the ticket?

  • Jason “Lee Rooney” Darkman

I dont known why these theaters dont sell healthy snacks like bagged carrots celery and peanut butter maybe some nuts everything is sugar. On top of that no out side food?!? Screw that i stuff my pockets with baby carrots and almonds before coming here! The theater is nice tho never any lines and i like the chose your own seat setup. Soda selection also sucks here.

  • Hemanga Krishna Borah

I loved this place. Their iMax is a wonderful experience. The theater is just absolutely gorgeous. Totally a central location accessible from everywhere because of the bus and train station. The inside is neat and clean and the staff is very helpful, polite and nice. I would highly recommend this theater. I took a regal pass and now go here fairly often.

  • Josh King

Very friendly staff. Helpful. They have all the snacks (pop corn, ice cream, and candy) and some new items like personal pan pizzas and hot pretzels. The seats are very comfortable and roomy. Coming from a 6’ + dude. I think that is pretty good. You do not feel like your in a plane. The sound is awesome. Not bad seat in the theater.

  • Ben Varkentine

They seem to've done something to turn off WiFi so I was stuck watching and listening to the advertising feces they started splattering across the screen and blaring through through the theater at (not before) showtime. Although I enjoyed the movie, all in all it was a reminder of why people don't enjoy going to the theater anymore.

  • Ngawang

I was watching a movie that was scheduled at 7pm and I arrived at 6.50 pm, the movie started super late and the screen was stuck on a gray hue until 7.30 and everyone else including me were frustrated since the staff are so lazy. We only could get it fixed around 8pm and finally watched the movie. Highly disappointed in this place.

  • Pilar H

We took our kids to see paw patrol at 11:15am. They showed ads for 30mins before the actual movie started at 11:45am. This obnoxious practice was not disclosed when we purchased our tickets and kids don’t have long attention spans. By the time the movie we came to see began, we were done.

  • Karthik Arvind Kumar

They have good quality popcorn. It would be awesome if they had those electronic drink vending machines. I watched The Incredibles 2, and realized their movie-themed drinks have a one-refill constraint, which was unnecessary. The seats are quite comfortable and the movie timing was great.

  • Brian M. Demkowicz

Reasonably nice theatre that isn't all that crowded during weekend matinees. Image and audio quality was good. Theatre seats were basic, but comfortable and appeared maintained. Be sure to visit the restrooms to experience the loudest hand dryers in North America (possibly the world).

  • N McLin

The staff are really friendly and helpful. They have the best popcorn versus any other theaters I've been to. There's something they do to make it crispy and crunchy and have a delicious flavor. I like that the parking is free and that the facility is roomy and open.

  • Marco Saldana Flores

I'd like to give it 4 stars but I can't. It's not their fault they don't have reclining seats. Employees are always nice and friendly. The popcorn is pretty good. The theater is generally clean. If somewhere nearby had reclining seats I'd probably go there instead

  • Jen Ralston

Since the independent movie theatres are disappearing, and I don't have a car, I've been a regular here. I love the high auditorium seating because I'm short, so I can always see. The staff is friendly and the popcorn is delicious. The sound is great, too.

  • Daniel Alfonso

if u forget ur wallet and are only using tap to pay then go somewhere else. they don't have that here. Google pay, apple pay, and Samsung pay won't be offered here. it's best yo have cash at hand or ur card but even sometimes cards won't work …

  • Benjamin Lincoln

This theater has solid audio and decent video. I go here quite often and I have only had one bad experience in the 20 or so times I’ve been here. I can’t say anything bad about Regal Thornton place but there’s nothing extraordinarily great either.

  • Abdi Yusuf

Why did I ever do to them to give me the worst experience ever? Seriously, I tried calling so many times and they just keep hanging up the phone and not answering. A bunch ludicrous clowns that come to work but don’t want to work. My goodness

  • David “dah_veeth” Davis

Been here many times over the years. But recently, the staff are dropping the ball. Todays’ film started 30 minutes late, and the freggin’ lights came on at the climax of the 3rd act. We had to inform them that it was 30 minutes past time

  • Charlotte Ramsey

It was my first visit to this theater. I caught the 6:40 showing of the Lion King. The lady at the ticket booth treated me as if I were a favorite customer, she made me aware of all of the rewards and discounts that I had overlooked, she

  • Kamal605 Madbar

It's with regards to the fourth film I've been to since they've opened up... They have theater set up for social separating. I have headed out to motion pictures in strange hours where children won't appear a few times I've been the just

  • Brandon Shepard

Nice movie theatre!. Sound system is a little middling for a theater, but other than that, comfortable seats, short lines, lots of choices in the concession stand. I'll be back in the near future. Parking can be a bit of a challenge

  • Pete Gerdeman

POOR effort, IMAX Regal Thornton Place, Northgate, WA. "Amsterdam" scheduled 6 PM PDT, 6 Oct 2022. 15 min late, staff says unable to make digital connection. How many times per month? Offered receipt for future showing. NO. I came

  • MARIE BELT

Friendly staff great atmosphere ,clean, and roomy.lots to choose on snacks. Tuesday on summer movies six dollars .whew good affordable price to see a movie. Been watching movie at this theater for twenty long years by myself.

  • Barbara Kramer

Very comfortable, clean. Great service at the ticket counter and concessions. The lighting gmmin the aisles was particularly helpful for one of us. Yet it did not distract frim thd movie. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

  • Karen Anderson-

They kept having problems running the movie so there were breaks. We had to wait for them to get the movie running again. After the third break we left and did not see the ending. It was Oppenheimer. Great disappointment!!!!

  • Star Kilbourne

I’ve been coming here for 2 years and it’s such a great theater. they have 2 concessions stands to avoid lines and tons of movies/times for showings. it’s always really clean and the staff are friendly. highly recommend.

  • Jason Dueck

Uncomfortably hot inside theater and I mean HOT, expensive, quality of sound system and screen is not great, super small seats. Better theaters out there’s with reclining seats, better systems and cheaper prices

  • Bill Butler

Great theater, easy parking, good restaurants. Smells suspiciously like popcorn. I've never actually seen a group use the party room, but if you have a group of kids going to see a movie you should check it out

  • F. Tiffany

My favorite place to watch the movies. Very convenient as it’s so close to the Northgate light rail station, as well as restaurants, including Five Guys. The theater is always clean and staff are friendly.

  • Bill Gesler

I am a regular regal customer and go to movies in many different theaters. I have to say the staff at Thornton Place are the most helpful and have such a positive attitude. It's noticed and appreciated.

  • K M-V

Huge theatre. Parking is free for 3 hrs. Easy in and out but was a little confusing at first. Staff were good. Popcorn was good. Movie we saw was meh. Lol. Nice clean theatre showing new releases.

  • Sue Frause

Not a big fan of huge movie theater complexes. We were on Level 4 and the snack bar was closed ... didn't have time to go back down to the main entrance for popcorn before the movie started.

  • Su Neato

A comfortable theater that was an awesome place to watch Talking Heads movie. Took lightrail which was only a 3 minute walk to the theater. Restaurants nearby to grab dinner before a movie.

  • Sam Horine

Kinda in love with the total 90’s vibe here - great spot to catch an imax movie - even if said movie is Avatar 2, theater was nice and clean and popcorn was delicious 12/10 will come back.

  • Tiffany Pitts

IMAX Movie was so loud I needed ear plugs. Women's room was 'closed for cleaning' before the movie and still closed afterward as well. Not sure the pandemic was kind to this theater.

  • Joshua Merry

My go-to movie theater. Has all the screens I want. Easy parking. Good snacks. I always get nachos with extra cheese. They don't disappoint. I saw Avatar there in Imax 3d. Amazing!

  • Michelle Mc

The Thornton Theatre is the best. Anytime we see a new movie this is the place we go to. Comfortable seating can be reserved which is a bonus! There is always enough parking too!

  • m. smith

Love this theater. Clean and staffed very well. Parking can be tricky on the weekends. Only thing I don't like is that their popcorn is not as good as their Lynnwood location.

  • Matty B

Pretty nice theater with a large number of screens, including IMAX. I’d rate the chairs a 9/10, not as nice as the full AMC reclining chairs, but some nice rock-motion to them

  • Gosha

Seats are terrible. Narrow, dingy and uncomfortable. IMAX screen is pretty small, doesn't really deserve the IMAX tag. Went for Avatar 2. 3D glasses could be better as well.

  • Pat V

Nice enough theater relatively new and clean. Being at a mall one would think parking would be easy but it is not. Parking is hard to find and you should expect to pay.

  • Joshua

great selection of both new and previously released movies! The food is good and the prices are what you expect. Staff is friendly and the theatres are very clean!

  • Alex Optimist

This is my regular theater that I visit on a nearly monthly basis. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked, the theaters themselves are also clean and nice to be in.

  • Katie Parker

Love this location. Love the free parking! Would like a bit more variety but otherwise nothing bad to say. On screening days, please have more concession staff.

  • Ethan Greger

Lovely staff! I absolutely enjoyed my time and experience here. That being said, I'm going to hang myself in the bathroom next time I hear that movie quote ad!

  • Kcmo Cam

Worst place ive ever been, bought ticket online for a seat that turns out doesnt even exist, wasted entire hour, total joke of a place. Avoid at all cost

  • Ben Phipps

Plus: It's a great theater overall. Comfortable seats, plenty of leg room, nice building, nice location. And IMAX has great picture quality, of course.

  • Kalyan Krishna

Nice place for a movie every now and then .. location is great, with pubs and fast food right around .. Seating is a bit tight.. so keep that in mind

  • anthony zaragoza

A wonderful place to enjoy a movie and the staff is very helpful. My only issue is parking which can be challenging depending on the time of day.

  • Erica McGivern

Show time was supposed to be 2:20. Not. Commercials for 10...11... minutes. Not the Noovie junk. Just commercials. A little lame and misleading.

  • Elizabeth Oestreich

Always a good time here. Can't believe how expensive a matinee was. This is a nice clean theater. Will definitely visit again.

  • Audrey McGrath

Love this theater, way better than the one downtown. They're super nice and they have closed captioning glasses that work well

  • Risa

Nice movie theater. Convenient parking. Comfortable seats. I didn't like the popcorn. Otherwise I'd give them 5 stars.

  • Samantha Herrington

Flynn behind the snack counter is an expert at their job, has a great personality, and 100% deserves all the kudos.

  • Viviana

Clean every time I've been there. Employees are always nice and helpful. Great deals for Regal Crown Club members.

  • Mary Gibeau

One of my fave movie theaters in Seattle! Lots of parking in the garage underneath and the theater is really nice.

  • David de Frates

Good theater. Drink refills and butter are behind the counter, so you have to wait for an employee to get refills.

  • Patricia Graf

Very nice large variety of movie theters to choose from. Seats are comfortable whole family enjoyed our movie

  • Luis Antezana

The staff here are always nice. The sound is always loud enough. Seats need an update but they’re fine.

  • A PC

It has always been clean, the chairs are beginning to age, so maybe some reupholstery is in the works.

  • Rowman 1671

Great seating - people are polite - feels like the old kind of fun it used to be going to the movies!

  • Sara Rosemarie

They don’t have Apple Pay so I couldn’t get anything at the concession stand and that was very sad.

  • CURTIS BLACKWELL

A great place to see a movie, seats were very comfortable, however consessions were very expensive,

  • Ms. Keshia Gray

People who work here are friendly and professional. They have a security guard on site. Drama free

Comfortable seats and friendly staff. Overpriced snacks though, as per your usual theater.
