So I decided to come here again because I was desperately craving the kouign amann's( KA) Pardon my spelling if it is incorrect, I blame auto correct! Anyway I went crazy as usual when I am in a store like this. I got some profiteroles, chocolate croissants and ofcourse the KA's. Then I saw that they had a crab crepe special so I thought why not! I ordered it then realized after I paid 52 bucks for everything that I could have gotten 12% cashback on Yelp. So please activate that BEFORE you buy anything! Anyway I got the crepe, which didn't look appetizing at all. I like my food to look halfway decent. There was nothing on the plate that said eat me!! Anyway I tried it and was quite disappointed. It was sweet! It was supposed to be a savoury crepe but it was sweet!!! I love profiteroles but these were also a big let down. There was no sugar in the filling. Like none. If there had been no chocolate on it then it would have been an almost savoury profiterole!! Now, I read my old review and after having the chocolate croissants this time feel like they were two different places. The croissants were TERRIBLE!! There was a thin layer of pastry with a little chocolate and plenty of air in it! Look at the pic!!! This honestly is pathetic, especially from a French chef and his patisserie!! So far the best croissants in CharlOtte are at Sunflour bakery, if you get there early enough to snag one! The KA's however are still delicious and their saving grace, otherwise there would have been 0 stars ( I wish there was a way to do that!)

Bon Jour viewers, on my day 2 visiting Charlotte, I discover a French bakery next to my AC hotel and I decide to give it a try. unlike many store bought bakery place, when I walk into the Renaissance patisserie store I witnessed the central kitchen, I know I am walking into something délicieuse. as any French style bakery, the morning pasty is normally sweet instead of savory, and I order my favorite almond croissant and cappuccino to start my day. the almond croissant is full moist with almond butter that blend with slightly dryer croissant perfectly. of course, some will argue it's too moist and sweet, yet I love how it's taste like brownie style. I was hoping to indulge myself with another pastry but afraid I might fall a sleep if I keeps try all of them. the Cappucino is a bit standard with a very heavy form build on the top. I guess it's just alright ~ the only drawback about this place is the space is a bit tiny for a cafe, maybe comfortably sit between 6~8 and more patio area on the outside. if you are coming here for few hours to get your job done, you are either coming early or maybe order them to-go and sit somewhere you enjoy. I am not here to make friends but I want to share my personal but honest experience. As a true Parisienne born and raised, I came there to "get my fix" as I like to joke and a bite would "take me back home". But for the past 6 months or so my experience has been less enjoyable. Indeed, I have recommended this place to so many friends and family who came as far as Michigan to taste your patisserie. I was disappointed by the taste of the patisserie simply because it was dried and had a cheesy after taste, I threw them away before my guests even took a bite out of them (true story). I am sorry but french pâtisserie is sold fresh (made very early each day) especially if they have de la crème pâtissière in them. The last time I came the mille-feuille look dried up [I didn't get one] and the croque-monsieur was okay. The croissants, pain au chocolat and scones are still very good in my opinion . Please, help me feel at home again by displaying fresh pâtisserie again, and also for my colleagues who work in the health care industry and who come check this place out all the way from Cabarrus with the Rennaissance gift cards I gave them. Merci d'avance!

This place deserves 0 stars. Ordered a birthday cake, got a call to confirm the requirements, confirmed the same. Went up to pick up the cake on a Friday at 5:10pm assuming they close at 7pm as per their website, however the paper on the front door said 5pm and they were closed. Now there were 3 people in the store watching us from outside and they ignored us. So we could not get the cake on the birthday because their website had incorrect hours. We went the next day to pick it up and guess what, they made the cake all wrong despite the instructions on the paper. The manager sent the front desk lady out to say they will give a $5 refund for making the entire cake wrong. We asked for a full refund and the manager didn't seem to be happy. Had similar prior bad experiences here, however this was the nail in the coffin, never coming back here. Only exception is the front desk lady who was extremely polite despite it not being her mistake, while the manager didn't care about anything. Horrible customer service.

You can not go wrong with the Macaroons at this place they are soft when you bite into them and creamy when you get to the center (the ganache). I was introduced to this place about a year ago by a woman I worked with she said I had to come here and I did and I can not stop, this place will hook you the first time you come. It has the feel of a small bistro in Paris (which hint the place is French ) you can sit and eat or take your food to go. You have to try there vanilla macaroons they are so good and there lemon one too. I think they change depending on the season. The thing I Absolutely love up here is there Raisn Swirl Danish it is like heaven trust me you will know what I mean when you eat it, make sure to warm it up yummy . I can not even tell you about there Chocolate Mousse soooooooo good, light and airy pure happiness . Make sure to check out there Chocolate Brownie Bomb, and Oprea Cake. I love this place keep up the good work guys love what you guys make.

Renaissance Patisserie is guaranteed to take you to the heart of France with their elegant aromas, sounds, and atmosphere. Their award-winning pastries are guaranteed to capture your heart as well. Make sure you try their giant lychee macaron! It’s literally the size of my hand, and the depth of flavors was a pleasant surprise! The macaron was baked beautifully with a crisp outer layer and a soft, warm inner layer. The filling itself had incredible depth, and the lychee flavor was extremely profound. They did not skimp out on the lychee flavor at all, which was pleasantly surprising. To top it off (quite literally), they added a gold-dusted raspberry on top! At a price point of about $7.50, I think this pastry was definitely worth it. They also serve a wide variety of sandwiches, soups, stews, and even provide family-portion takeaway meals, in addition to their extensive coffee selection. This was my second time visiting Renaissance Patisserie. The first time was not super busy so the service and desserts were amazing. This last time may have been a result of the busy Easter weekend but I had ordered two cakes in advance of the holiday to be served on Sunday. I picked up the cakes on Saturday afternoon: 1 Fraisier (a wonderfully good cake with strawberries) and 1 Bunny Butt cake (almond cake with raspberry filling). The Fraisier was a hit and even though the bunny cake was decorated adorably, the cake was VERY dry and did not taste at all like almond; perhaps I was given a white/vanilla cake on accident? I received many complaints about the bunny cake and that was the one that I was most excited about trying. I'll give Renaissance one more try but if it is anything like this last time I will go elsewhere...Almost $90 for two smallish cakes is overpriced (IMO) if they aren't almost perfect.

Beautiful French Pastry shop located inside of a shopping center surrounded by a suite of specialty shops. The macaroons were delicious and fresh even though I stopped by 15 minutes before close on a Sunday (Shame on me). I ordered a croissant, and six pack of macaroons and paid approximately $20. While the croissant was baked a little longer than I’d like, the macaroons were AMAZING!! Each one was very soft and decadent. I ordered the Blueberry Cheesecake, Vanilla, Lemon, Cookies & Cream, Pistachio, and Salted Caramel flavored cookies. While the Salted Caramel was my absolute favorite out of this batch, the Lemon flavor was the least favorite. I have been wanting to try this shop for a while especially for the macaroons, and they did not Disappoint!! I will definitely return for more flavors and pastries!!

I want to start by saying that the place was really nice it makes you feel like you are in Europe in a little terrace enjoying your coffee. But, unfortunately our experience with the food was not the best for the price. We had a napoleon, eclair, ham and cheese croissant, croque madame, smoked salmon tartine. I think out of those things we had the best was the ham and cheese croissant which am glad at least that was good. The chocolate eclair was pretty good but a little pricey at 5.25 for a small little eclair. The rest of the food was very disappointing, the bread was soggy and the smoked salmon tartine didn't really taste like anything. I think we would go back just because of the location because it was very nice but I think we will just stick with the patisseries.Definitely felt overpriced.

This place has been on my radar for a while now and we finally tried it last weekend. Covid-19: you can order and pay in advance on their website. We got Kouign-Amman, Passion Fruit Gateau, and a Guava and Cheese Danish. Kouign-Amman is my favorite pastry and this is the only place I've found it in Charlotte! This isn't the best version of it that I've had, but it was still really good. I also really enjoyed the Passion Fruit Gateau too. I could have done without the coconut, but the passion fruit flavor overpowered it which I liked. I wasn't a big fan of the Guava and Cheese Danish. The Danish itself was pretty good, but the filling was pretty bland. I'd say this is the best French bakery I've been to in Charlotte and definitely worth checking out.

Found my favorite Avocado toast spot in Charlotte!! . And what really made this toast was the firm, yet easy to bite through, bread. Delish!! . @renaissancepatisserie ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ . BITES: - Avocado toast with bacon and egg - Chocolate/Pumpkin scone - Lemon tartlets - Large raspberry French macaron with lychee rose filling . Popped into Williams Sonoma and took a walk around the Specialty Shops & stumbled upon this sweet French bakery and cafe. We were about to go to dinner so I said, let’s get a treat for after. Loved the outdoor seating (a bit of Paris) in Charlotte. They have gluten free macarons. Packaged beautifully. (Pictured.) This could make a wonderful gift for someone’s sweetheart. Popping the question (place an engagement ring inside) that would be so memorable for the macaron loving girl). PS I have to bring my mother in law. She loves croissants and baguettes. Stop by and experience this hidden gem (conveniently located near South Park Mall).

Cute place, but the service and cake were not great. I came in to pick up an order and waited in the designated area, no one even bothered to help. Then I figured I should just get in the regular line to tell someone I needed help, after waiting in line, the person at the register informed me I had to go back to the pick up area and he finally informed someone I needed help. Regarding the cake, I’ve always been a fan but this time, it was extremely dry. So disappointed. Will not be back.

On Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, around 1:30 pm, we ordered 1 gingerbread and 5 almond croissants, caesar salad, and french onion soup. The gingerbread croissant and caesar salad were very good, but the almond croissants were Burnt and hard as a rock. They knew they were burnt and should have thrown them away for good customer service, but they put an excess amount of powered sugar on them to try to cover up their mistake. We are disappointed that they sold us five burnt croissants at $5 each. French onion soup was good, but not any better than anywhere else. Won’t be back and I WAS a loyal customer.

One of my favorite places in the US. I travel all over the country for work and I have learned to have my places here or there. This place is my little secret in Charlotte, by far the best pâtisserie I have found in the US. Second best espresso I have found traveling (and I am Italian, so I have espresso everywhere - the best one is an Italian bar in Connecticut). Best croissant, best macarons. I seat out here in the sun, have a light and delicious meal, exchange a word with the friendly, smiling, relaxed but attentive, happy team and it reminds me of when I used to live in France. Chapeau !

Well, Renaissance Patisserie certainly delivered with this incredible birthday cake! It was a momentous birthday for sure and I absolutely "LOVED" my cake. My wife and I celebrated in Alys Beach, so this cake had quite the journey! Josh at Renaissance was just awesome. Your entire team is so talented and we love all your pastries! Thank you for helping to make my birthday special. Cheers to continued health, happiness, and success! As my cake says, tic too. One of my favorite sayings is... Time is our biggest asset. Live life to the fullest. Matthew Paul Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina

I can't say enough good things about Renaissance Pâtisserie. The ambiance is cozy and inviting. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to offer recommendations or answer any questions. I've had the opportunity to sample a good variety of their sweet treats, and I can confidently say that I have never been disappointed. Recently, I tried their savory offerings, and I was absolutely blown away. The French onion soup was a delight - rich, gooey, and packed with flavor.

  • Marina Badir

Pastries were fresh, beautiful and delicious. I ordered a latte as well and it’s quality was disappointing. The drink was watered down, not creamy and the foam laid on top like a wet dishrag. Such a contrast to a beautiful croissant! The shop has perfected its baking, now it needs to perfect it’s drinks to become a one of a kind patisserie in town. Meanwhile, one can not go wrong with pastry take out and get your coffee at Not Just Coffee, the best coffee in town and consistent every time.

  • Cassandra Jarosz

This was just the best experience! We went here for tea and a snack today and the woman who helped us was so friendly and knowledgeable! Answered all questions we had, offered recommendations, and brewed our tea perfectly. We ordered the chocolate eclair and the pistachio eclair and both were delicious but all the other pastries also looked amazing. I’m visiting from out of town, but my friend who is from this area said she is going to be coming back often. Highly recommend!

My wife and I have visited Charlotte a few times over the past several years and ever since discovering the Renaissance Patisserie it has become our 1st (and last) destination on our trip. It is a perfect place for a lite meal after hours of driving. Everything that we have sampled off of the menu has been great! On our way home we like to stop and fill up on pastries and macarons to bring back to family. It is always a special treat and we look forward to it every trip.

  • Christopher Lacivita

First time I had the apple tarts here it was fresh, delicious and brought great joy to my day. The second time was exactly as the first, but the 3rd and 4th time was utterly disappointing. The apple tarts have a stale and burnt base, the apple was no longer fresh and crisp, overall it was horrendous and i actually ended up tossing one out after a few bites. Fortunately our other items were still good, but my favorite pastry delight was not.

  • Christy Sammons

Coffee taste fine and pastry was tasty but they were not friendly behind the counter. Haven’t had that experience before. Getting a regular coffee (kept in an urn behind counter) took more than five minutes as they were more interested in chatting among themselves. Other. Customers around us spoke to slowness and abruptness. Advice: don’t act like the stereotype French restaurant and bring an attitude— customers don’t want that experience.

  • Staya Gerasenko

The place was super busy and a bit crowded but overall the atmosphere was fitting for a French patisserie place. The lady at the cash register was super nice and helped explain the differences between the options. I liked the chocolate brownie dome minus the brownie itself. And the passion fruit was a bit too sweet for me but my sister really enjoyed it. Overall It's a bit overpriced in my opinion but it's the average price for the area.

  • Gabriel Oprea

Yesterday I was climbing a mountain and I remembered that my daughter birthday was yesterday. I called the this establishment and I ordered a cake. The establishment closed at 7 PM still they waited for me until almost 8 PM. Today I started to eat the cake and is awesome. The Customer Service is stellar at this place the quality of the goods is outstanding. I strongly recommend this place for this fact. God bless them handsomely.

  • Jaxx Guevarra

The kouign-amann is AMAZINGLY delicious!! Especially when it's freshly made. It's flaky and just the right amount of sweetness. Its the texture that has me My 2 favorite picks: this pastry with a hot Mocha. I make it a point to grab one whenever I'm in Charlotte. Conveniently located across from Southpark Mall. I hear the baker was Oprah Winfreys personal chef at one point ... once you have a taste, you'll know why!

  • Robert Bowne

Amazing cake and delicious bread! I wanted to get my wife a really good chocolate cake for her birthday, and Renaissance Patisserie absolutely blew us away!! I would give their chocolate cake six stars if I could - one of the richest, most amazing cakes we've ever had. I also got a loaf of fresh brioche bread, and made some very nice French toast for breakfast the next day. All in all, we were very impressed.

  • Leah Ponds

Just ok. The service was EXCELLENT. That's why I'm giving them three stars. Not really impressed with their pastries/desserts. I had the cheese danish. Eh. It was a little overpriced and definitely not the best danish I've had. I also had the raspberry parfait dessert (I'm not sure of the exact name), and I definitely was not impressed with it either. If I ever go back, I may try something different.

  • Emily Sandalo

First time visiting today! I had the apple, bacon, brie croissant and the passion fruit gateau. That croissant was so flavorful and filling!! Nothing in the patisserie is cheap but they really put the effort into making everything worth the price! I will definitely be back to try more things! I would not recommend the chai latte though. It tasted like warm (not hot) milk with cinnamon.

  • Paul Jacoby

Certain things are really good, others not so much. Carrot muffin is best ive ever had. Blueberry scone is pretty spectacular as well. Coconut macaroon is a close third. Really good ceasar salad. Sandwiches are decent but nothing to write home about. DO NOT GET THEIR FROZEN STUFF. The cooking instructions are not even close to accurate and Beef Bourgonon and chickenn were not very good

  • Peeran B

We were there for brunch and Renaissance did not disappoint. We were quickly seated. Our orders for scrambled eggs with cheese croissant, a quiche Florentine with French onion soup, almond croissant with a cortado. All of which were delicious and well presented. The service was timely. Let’s just say.. the brunch complimented a glorious sunny afternoon. Will be back.

  • Mickey Hershey

I wanted to try this place, so I went for lunch, I waited like almost 15 minutes for a grilled cheese and tomato soup, that cost me almost $16. I could have went to Nothing but noodles for a big bowl of tomato soup for $5, and I noticed that the people ordered after me, got their orders first. I shouldn’t include the tip before I got my meals, never going back.

  • Megan K.

The staff here is incredible. The prices are bit high for what you get. Some pastries are better then others and they only offer one coffee size. but otherwise its a good spot to sit and enjoy.

Visited this shop for the first time and was very pleased. Great variety of traditional French goodies. Cakes displayed looked delicious and well decorated. My son had the Pumpkin Macaroon, as well as the Birthday Cake and Chocolate Macaroon, loved the taste. Husband had the Chocolate Mousse and found it creamy and moist. Nice seating area outside. $$$$

  • Joy Eggleston

We had the tiramisu and carrot muffin. The tiramisu was amazing super light and flavorful..just an awesome delicate balance in flavors! The carrot (cake) muffin was nice and chunky with nuts slithers of carrots..Sooooo GOOD! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. They seem like they all have a real passion and enjoy their jobs! Great Experience!

  • Katia - life is good with dogs

It's always great food and amazing service here. They make THE BEST tomato soup in Charlotte! Our favorites are french fries, ratatouille and the croque sandwiches. Delicious! And their pastries and breads, are out of this world. Try the Kouign-amann. Food fit for Kings at Renaissance Patisserie! Try it once and you'll come back again and again!

  • Amola Amal

They made cocomelon cake for my son’s fist birthday party. It was awesome and deliciousssss!!! All my guests loved the cake and kept on asking me where I got it made. Their customer service was excellent!!!! Jo-Ann who helped me. She answered all my questions. She was very nice and helpful!! The Best bakery in Charlotte!!!!

  • Kristin Schulz

Super impressed by this bakery! Incredible workmanship and flavor. We ordered a cake for my baby shower and had a specific design in mind. They executed it flawlessly and not only did it look amazing, it tasted incredible too. They even made us a gluten-free cupcake to go with it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a special order!

In my quest for the BEST macarons in North Carolina I ended up at Renaissance Pastisserie! It didn’t disappoint. All the food and drink items we tasted were fresh and super delicious. Got this custom birthday cake made and it was amazing!! Turned out super beautiful and it was exactly how I wanted it!! This place is awesome for gluten free people also, and we got the delicious strawberry mousse filling process of ordering was super easy and quick, staff is helpful and friendly! will be returning …

Good menu , great variety . Great service ! Decent flavors , certainly not out of this world ……. I thought the laminated pastries ( Kouing Aman, croissants ) were over cooked , and the sandwich we got ( bacon apple Brie ) was bland . But I would return . The patisserie looked excellent , and I’d like to give it another try

  • Lou Cosentine

It is over rated, over priced and the worst french pastry I have ever tasted. Lidl's has exquiste croissants for .69 cents each. The napolean was stale and uncreamy, the chocolate croissant had chocolate harder and less tasty than a hershey bar. Would rather have the hershey bar. Skip this place and the undelicious food.

  • Thomas Brasse

I ordered a birthday cake for my wife's 50th here. They were helpful when ordering, the cake was for 80 people and it was absolutely delicious, decorated very nicely and delivered to the venue exactly when promised. I would definitely recommend them. I still pop in for a treat once in a while and recommend you do too!

  • Lex Spencer

Tight seating but really cute atmosphere. The customer service was EXCELLENT! we are on a croissant tour of charlotte and so far this has been one of the only places to make their croissants in-house from scratch. They are flaky and buttery delicious. The coffee was delicious and a perfect pairing for French pastry.

  • Dana Higgins (Ghostlady)

Great brunch here! Baked goods to die for. French onion soup perfectly balanced. Fresh orange juice and delicious coffees. Beef bourginon for breakfast is a great idea! Sat outside and talked to other diners. Had a great time. Seating inside is small tables close together but the food is so good it doesn't matter.

  • Erica Tramontano

Excellent! Being from up north, good coffee and pastries are hard to come by. The place is a adorable. The espresso is hand pressed and by far the best anywhere in NC and one of the best I've had ever. The kitchen is open and clean. Their pastries are amazing and fresh. You get what you pay for. Highly recommend!

  • Dina B

First time here. Been wanting to try their almond croissant for a long time. It was worth the wait! There was just enough filling. It wasn't too sweet. The croissant itself was flaky and crisp but not so hard it crunched apart, tore at your mouth, or tasted burnt as others do. Will be bake to try other things!

  • Alice Boldman

It is a good bakery. The selection is fairly standard - nothing special. The quality is on par with expectations for this price range (maybe a bit overpriced). Online as well as over the phone ordering could be easier. Their opera cake is interesting, croissants are also good, but Napoleon is quite basic.

  • Sasha Robinson

Excellent, friendly service and even better pastries. First time here, and I tried the almond croissant, a coconut macaroon and the kouign amann. All three were so good but the kouign amann was maybe one of the best pastries I’ve ever had. Super buttery, sticky, flaky layers. SO GOOD.

  • Sviatlana Kopts

My favorite local coffee place. It’s super cute, I love to sit outside on a sunny day surrounded by blooming trees and enjoy my favorite avocado toast and a cup of latte :) PS: their pastry is to die for, unfortunately, can’t let myself have it too often, it’s my guilty pleasure

  • Linda Gail

5 star's because I couldn't go any higher. You, guys must visit i believe the majority of the pastries are made on the premises. Go and check this place out. You can watch the bakers. And the cappuccino choose your poison. Lol! Enjoy!!!! Did I mention how fresh everything was? …

  • Taylor englade

I can’t recommend this bakery enough! Customer service and communication were both thorough and efficient. Delivery was seamless and on time as discussed. I couldn’t have dreamed of this cake looking better then it does! They took my inspiration photo and made it look phenomenal!

  • Michael Fellini

Absolutely delightful operation. The quality is unquestionably top notch. The crew is courteous and respectful. This is by far one of the finest "true" bakeries in the area. Whether it's a wedding, special occasion, or you just deserve a delicious "something". This is the place.

  • Jeanne Johnson

This place is fantastic! The Croque Monsieur was just the perfect bite of yummy bread with a béchamel sauce that made me so happy! The cappuccino at this place should not be missed ! We also ordered a chocolate eclair, which was so very light. I highly recommend a stop here !

  • Dominique

The prices are criminal, why does it all costs four times as much as in Paris (or France)?!? Come down with the prices no reason to charge so much for a baguette or a croissant!!! Caters to the bourgeoise and they are stupid enough to pay that. And the rest of us? Shame.

  • Eric Parks

Wonderful bakery. I had the apple tart and my wife had the lemon tart. They were delicious. Our coffee was the best coffee we've ever tasted. Service was quick. The menu looks extensive and the smells were heavenly. Can't wait to return on our next trip up to Charlotte.

  • Angelia Schifferle

I love this place! I have been here several times with client as well as with my family! I ordered Cakesicles, Cookies, and Cake Pops for my daughters 16th Birthday Party!!! They were a bigger hit than the cake (that I ordered from another vendor)! Wow!!!

  • Michael Jampole

Just went here for the first time. It was great. You walk in and immediately feel like you're in a bakery in France. The selections available were all relatively varied and tasted amazing. Highly recommend you check this place out when you're in the area!

  • A

Order a pumpkin and peacan pie. And guys.. the delicacy of every bite plus the presentation of my pies exceed my expectations. It had the right amount of sweetness and a mouthful of flavors! Then there's the crust.. just wow. THIS. IS. A. TRUE. BAKERY.

  • Robin Champaign

Happy Bastille Day! We arrived after 3. Our mistake. Too late for lunch. Oh well not to worry, raspberry maroon tart and a slice of Flan will do for an afternoon treat. Many assorted entrees and also quiche are in our near future! See you again soon.

  • John Abrahamson

I'd give 10 stars for service, incredibly helpful and friendly. They helped me out in a pinch. The macarons were delicious, but the cake was incredibly dry. I know some French styled cakes can be dry, but this was drier than the norm. I'll

  • Melody Serre

I like this place. It is pricey but most of the desserts are just worth it. The raspberry chocolate bomb might be my new favorite. The galette des rois is delicious. However absolutely overpriced for the size. In France a real size galette

  • Ixchel Meza

I’m a croissant lover and this is the best French patisserie in Charlotte I’ve been to. It is a little bit expensive but the quality is better than in other similar places. All the times I’ve been here I’ve seen several people speaking in

This is not the Renaissance Patisserie I knew before moving to WA. I ordered a cake for my son birthday and I made sure the employee knew that I wanted a low sugar cake. Everything cost about $50. A week later when I came back to pick It

Had to change my review from a 4 star to a 1 star because HORRIBLE customer service. I used to love this place and would boast about it to my friends. I went in last Friday with a friend and had the rudest cashier. He filled my chai tea

Renaissance Patisserie is the most authentic bakery in Charlotte proper and their croissants and other items are definitely worth a trip. Their almond croissant on a good day is particularly delicious. They have a nice seating area just

Ordered an assortment of macaroons for my valentine and was thoroughly disappointed with the quality of cookies I received. They were dry/stale the cookies completely fell apart after biting into them as if they were days/weeks old. I’m

Amazing service and desserts. Bonus points for a Bonjour at the door! Highly recommend French cheesecake and cake soufflé! Espresso is on point and reminds me of a real French pâtisserie Got two desserts to go it was that good! …

Picked up 3 cakes from here a few days ago. All 3 of them were dry, the icing was hard and they all tasted stale. 2 stars for how pretty they were on the outside, too bad inside didn’t match. Expensive cakes for a really bad dessert.

This patisserie has the best quality. Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious and authentic. This is one of my favorite places in Charlotte, although you can also order to go and take your lovely faire on a picnic as well.

Excellent bakery and cafe! I really enjoyed every aspect of my visit. From the cheesecake and coffee to the courtyard and ambiance, and to the friendliness of the staff— I was very happy with the experience. Excellent job!

What a special place!! It is kind of hidden but worth the search. Some things are very special (cakes, flavor variety changes daily, coffee), while some things are pretty good but not great. Beautiful store, nice ambiance.

  • Vivien W

Lovely little cafe! The sweets we tried were delicious and the coffee was good too. The staff was very nice but stressed since it was quite busy. Will definitely come back and try more sweets as well as their savory food.

I am French and got my galette des rois picked up today. I was appalled by the size and supposed to be for up to 6 people. It’s an insult !! My friends definitely laughed about it bit I didn’t. Embarrassing and a rip off.

  • Dr. Tech

This is a nice bakery, I suggest they use a bag for the bread that does not tear up when I remove the bread. I gave them five stars when they first opened but the quality has declined a little bit, it is still very good.

  • Kasey Campbell

They made my custom birthday cake and it was amazing! It was dairy and gluten free and delicious everyone went crazy over it! Still can’t believe how delicious it was and not overly sweet. Thanks for the best cake ever.

  • Mary Bova

The Renaissance did a custom made 60th Birthday Cake for my birthday party, it was fabulous. It looked exactly like I wanted it, decorated beautiful, and to “top it off” it tasted amazing, it was the “hit of the party.”

Fantastic little Bakery and Cafe. Very friendly helpful staff. Wonderful foods, coffees and desserts. Must go and stay for a bit. To avoid busy hours go either before or after lunch rush. Below a Mocha Buche de Noel.

Lovely spot, inviting patio with two water features within earshot amongst trees and umbrellas. Feels hidden and cozy. Food and coffee were great. Experience feels like a mix between Cafe Monte and Amalies.

  • Katie Kirkpatrick

Ordered a variety of pastries for a staff meeting and everyone was thoroughly impressed with how delicious everything was. Excellent quality and taste. Quick, friendly service. This place deserves 10 stars!

  • Venus Lady

There is always something good. This is one of the best cafes in the city. It's just a shame that there are no sugar-free desserts. For example, stevia instead of sugar. You should think about it More

  • Joy Jelinske

OMG IM SO IN LOVE. I wish we lived closer. We had so much fun! Everything was so delicious and reasonably priced, and quality! Nice staff and clean with nice ambiance. The omelet was delicious too.

  • TRAVEL NORTH CAROLINA

Lovely breakfast and brunch place especially if you like sweets! Also looks very Italian, with the colors and flowers all around! Love the outdoor seating area a lot! Tasty tiramisu and napoleon!

  • Sean Shuping

Croissants!!!! Fantastic croissants. Amelie's could learn a thing or two from here. The shop itself is a bit unorganized and overwhelming, but the pastries speak for themselves …

  • gaby hsw

Cute little coffee place. Quiche meal was delicious, but the side salad is very small. The rest fo the food looked good. I thought the service was great. Cant wait to try their pastries

  • Traveling Troop

Nice selection of authentic French breakfast cuisine and pastries. We love the location and the outdoor seating area. Quiche def not as delectable as Paul’s, but flavorful and filling.

  • Sanket Raj

Amazing service and awesome desserts. The bombs are really delicious. Tiramisu and creme brulee are scrumptious. Great presentation. Must visit for everyone. We will be back for more.

  • Ami Weldehana

The best pastry in town I have been there two times. They have such a great customer service. The staffs are so sweet. Thank you so much. I will definitely come back.

  • Steffanie Shinn

From SC for a weekend getaway and found this gem! Coffee was great but our favorite was the Avocado Toast. Absolutely delicious. The staff was super friendly!!!

  • Graham Renfro

This is the only patisserie in Charlotte whose pastries tastes the way they should. Coffee and a croissant here is the closest to Paris you can be in Charlotte.

  • Chelsie Exner

Chef is fabulous and loves to come out and greet guests. He will even customize desserts for you on the fly. Beautiful shop, plenty of terrace seating

  • Amanda Monge

They did an excellent job with my daughters cupcakes and cake. It was delicious and everyone enjoyed the decor I’ll definitely be returning!!

  • J Deutsch

Their cake pops are the best in Charlotte! They taste just as amazing as they look.

Best spot for coffee, pastries, breakfast or lunch in Charlotte! Such a gem that we are grateful to have in our city! True French treat!

A great little French bakery/Cafe. I had a delicious ham and cheese croissant with a oat milk honey latte. Soooo good! Merci beaucoup!

  • Mackenzie Srey

Stumbled upon this spot and absolutely love it! Everything had excellent flavor, was not over powering. Will be revisiting often

  • Pat Jel

The worst cheesecake I have ever eaten. Not creamy, just dry and tasteless. The fresh fruit topping was good.

  • David Thomas

The pastries here look so good. The lemon tart was wonderful and the mocha coffee was bursting with flavor.

  • Farah Gore

Had a St. Honore and.. wow! It was amazing ...the cream puffs were on point! The staff was very nice too..
