Exceeded expectations. In January, Craig and the team put together my BMC Roadmachine 01, however, was stuck overseas until early April,, when I picked up the bike it was configured perfectly. Craig set me up and explained all the operations, given this was my first Di2 bike. The bike itself is superb, and rides as comfortably as my Ti Litespeed, with a great deal more stiffness. It accelerates and handles like a dream. My first experience with River cycles was about 20 years ago when they built up a Teschner frame for me. Service and attention to detail was great then, and remains so today. Totally recommend Craig and the team for their friendly, professional approach. Update - Recently (sept 21) Rivercycles gave my 2004 Litespeed Tuscany, 10 speed record a birthday. Full service, headset, bottom bracket, carbon component and frame crack check, bar tape, replace cables all round. Result : bike is fabulous. The braking modulation has improved immensely, gear changes are crisp, and I reckon its easier to push after the BB service . Another 5 star result

I recently bought a BMC road bike from River City Cycles. They have done the maintenance on my previous bikes for over 15 years (Bianchi and Colnago - both beautiful bikes). In the last 2 years for reasons unknown I have been riding very little (I am mid 60 years old). I was visiting the shop recently and the proprietor, Craig incidentally showed my a new BMC road bike - discs, electric Shimano etc, etc. I really liked it and bought it! The new bike is truly beautiful, has a gearing range and tyre width much better suited to my current level of riding. I now have a reinvigorated enthusiasm and am thorough enjoying riding with some of the intermediate packs in my area. A sincere thanks to Craig (Saunders), Jeremy and Madison for encouraging me to buy the new bike thereby rekindling my love of riding. Thanks.

All I can say is A1 service. I am based in Melbourne and recently purchased a bike privately in Brisbane that required packing and shipping. I found River City Cycles online and gave them a call to ask if they could help out. The owner Craig Saunders from the moment we spoke, was polite helpful and incredibly attentive to my needs. The service was efficient and my bike is now on its way to Melbourne. If this is the service that Craig and his team provide, my next major bike purchase will include a trip to Yeronga Brisbane to spend my money. I ordered a BMC Roadmachine One off Craig from River City Cycles before Easter and there was a 5-7 week wait. I was happy with this but then he rang and offered a bit higher spec that was a available before Easter. I am a tech person and really appreciated the info Craig provided to back up his cost of a higher end bike that has a superb frame and 2x24 SRAM group set. H It finally arrived at 4pm on the day of the 3 day lockdown before Easter. Dimitri and Craig pulled a miracle and I picked up my new bike that evening. I am an older bloke who built my business on customer service and Craig and RRC certainly delivered in spades.The BMC and service is more than I hoped for.

I unfortunately was in the market for a new bike (crashed the old one) and with my insurance payout, set off to find a new bike. I visited a number of stores around the area and the big difference between them all was communication. River City (specifically Craig) were by far and away the best here, they listened to what I wanted and throughout the process were amazing with updates. Because of this I purchased the bike that I wanted and was suited to me. The store was approachable, welcoming and most importantly honest and trustworthy from day one. Will be recommending to all my friends and family in the market for a bike to at least have a chat to Craig and the team.

RCC were awesome to me and the purchase of my new bike!!!! I put a deposit on a Cervelo R5 on 22nd January 2022. Due to unforeseen circumstances and COVID, I only received my bike in November 2022. Craig has delivered unbelievable service during this time, keeping me updated and hassling Cervelo on my behalf. The R5 still hasn’t arrived but Craig has got me riding an even better machine, the Caledonia5. I’m loving it. It sparkles and is a smooth ride with precious shifting!!! I personally found these guys to be rather rude and Arrogant, i have been to a few bike shops and i got the impression these guys only want to cater to richer local clients who are happy to throw away hundreds if not thousands rather than cater to your every day riders or someone who also knows their prices!! if they want people to support their local bike shop they need to get their head out of their arse and provide good service for all types of clients not just ones who throw away money without knowing any better, i found their quotes to be rather high, as well as prices on parts.

Took my old clunker in for a clean and service, took a week to give a quote then another week to actually start. Only then did they discover one of the forks was cracked and irreparable, and said $50 for time spent so far. Could take $50 off buying a brand new bike, but couldn't put $50 towards servicing my other bike. It feels like they never actually looked at the bike before quoting for a service, otherwise the crack would be clear. They wasted two weeks of our time only to say "Nope can't be fixed, please pay $50 for the time I spent cleaning your obviously broken bike"

Friday 7th July 2017. I Was very disappointed after walking in off the street with a flat rear tyre at 4:40pm looking to get a new tube put in only to be told she was closing soon (5pm ) and couldn't do it . I didn't have the tools to do it otherwise I would have bought the tube and fixed it myself but I thought 20 mins would have been more than enough time for a repair pro. It was pouring rain too I might add but I did get directions to another bike shop more than 3 kms away which I walked to. Thank you for the Extremely poor customer service !

Easily the best bike shop in SE Qld. Experienced, knowledgeable & professional staff who are passionate about the brands they sell & always happy to help out. I visited once to buy my husband a bike & have happily returned again & again to buy bikes & kit for the whole family. All their gear is high quality & made to last - meaning we’ve been able to pass all our bikes on as the kids grow up, knowing they’re still in great condition. Just an awesome family business & they’ve got us as customers for life!

What I love about RCC is they are not a one brand bike shop. This sets it apart, and Craig only has products that he likes. With Craig’s experience as an international cycling, this means a lot. I recently purchased a Cervelo Aspero 5 gravel bike. It was a fantastic purchasing experience. Craig and I discussed what I was looking for, he sourced the bike I wanted, kept me updated through delivery and then presented it to me when it was ready. It was seamless. Great guy, great shop

Craig and the team at River City Cycles are professional and approachable. This is what a local bike shop should be. Their service was brilliant and they did not try and push me to purchase things I didn't need. I am the sort of person who likes to ask lots of questions and they were more than happy to assist. I shop online all the time, but there is nothing quite like having a good relationship with a local shop, and RCC do that exceptionally.

Craig has been helpful at every turn. He was enthusiastic when I walked in, listened to what it was that I wanted, and had options for me. When the bike I ordered couldn't be delivered, he made the effort to seek out an upgraded alternative and did me a great deal. Follow up service has been great with a minor problem fixed at no charge. The bike is better than I ever imagined it could be. No hesitation in recommending RCC and its crew.

Great service and advice. These guys take great pride in maintaining and restoring bikes particularly older bikes like my 1990 GT Karakoram mountain bike. The guys at RCC know how to source parts and don’t just want to replace parts unnecessarily unless it cannot be repaired. I get all my families bikes serviced here everything from my 30 year old GT our 2018 Gravel bikes and a couple of commuter bikes in between.

Craig always looks after my bike with the upmost care and patience. After a few years of being ridden everyday and everywhere it was a little tired. River City Cycles gave it a complete overhaul and it now feels like it did when it was brand new. Craig also coordinated my work with Carbon Steed at the same time, we had a few little touch ups on the frame at the same time. Cheers Craig, the outcome is perfect!

Went in to get some tips about working on my own high end road bike (they sell this brand) and was met with arrangence and bad customer service. I understand small local bike shop business, but at least give me advice don't just push me aggressively into buying a new bike fresh from your floor stock. It's customer service like this that's killing local bike stores and driving people to online stores sadly.

Been shopping with Craig and his team at River City Cycles for a number of years and always found their staff friendly and knowledgeable, customer service excellent and prices competitive. Would certainly recommend them to anyone either looking to get into cycling or for those that have years of experience. I had a bike serviced here a few years ago and wasn't very impressed but thought I would give them another go. It was a disaster. New chain jumped, they only fixed one of the two other issues I flagged, and managed to create a brand new one themselves. Plus they charged me extra for a racing service when my bike is a hybrid. I shan't be back.

We paid $280 for getting our bike (Canyon) pulled apart and put together with two new cables. The final product was terrible, the bike didn't shift gears properly making all sorts of awful noises and the two new cables put in the downtube were tangled/twisted 3 times over each other. We would not take our bike there again for any reason.

It's okay. Impressive bike relics and collectables and friendly staff. But quite a small selection of apparel, shoes and bikes, which is a shame. Was curious about shoes, but it seemed like they only sold second hand one-off items. Was also looking for a $80-$120 road helmet and the range was $150-$350, so left empty handed …

I was looking for a pump and like the other reviewer found the prices way steep. Even with their 20% 20 years in business discount they were 30% over the chain reaction price. If the only people who buy your stuff are uneducated to the market price or can't wait for delivery, I don't believe your business model will work.

Great customer service. Gentleman at the counter was very helpful and went above and beyond. I was only buying lights for a bicycle but will this definitely will be the first place I will go to whenever I need bicycle related stuff or advice. I recently got an off road handcycle from Poland. After my 3rd ride the Di2 shifter stopped working. I had hardly any luck with the company I got the handcycle through. So decided go to river city cycles and they were absolutely amazing. Very kind and made the time to get my Di2 shifter working again. Thank you

I'm disabled and was quoted a price to change my handlebars on my pushbike, When l picked the bike up they increased the price by $90. After only 3 rides on the bike my back Disc breaks failed. I bought the bike New from them and it had hardly any use before they changed the Handlebars. They give No Warrantee
