They were able to rip me off of $665 when I got cash back at customer service…The payment went thru and they refused to give me my money… I I’ll be going to corporate tommorow to show them my receipt…. The girl who works customer service is not vey bright… So what happened is the first time I slid my card she said she didn’t know how to do the cash part of ebt and I t said declined.. She never gave me that receipt.. and then I swiped my card a 2nd and it went through And because she never gave me a receipt for the one that didn’t go thru it got printed on the receipt that went through so she said it didn’t go through but aI called my card and it did go thru… I’m sure know they know how to con people ringing it up like that… I’m sure I’m not the first person that they did that too…

According to Google maps Smiths was to be open until 2pm today. I was refused entry at 1:50 by a man and a woman. I said I need one can of something and you’re open til two and the guy said there’s a line (which was a lie as I could see open self checkouts in front of him) and the lady said “go to 7-11”. I’ve always preferred Trader Joe’s and winco for their pricing anyway, but now it will be my personal mission to never shop at a smiths again! To the two that denied me entry: I’m in the service industry, i wouldn’t have kept you there a minute longer than you should’ve been. I guarantee you two were scheduled until 2pm or later, not 1:50. Nothing worse than going to a business and finding they have closed early.

The store is great and has some good fresh products at a reasonable price. However, at the beginning of the pandemic, a male beggar in front of the store kept harassing me and calling me names because I wore a mask. I went inside the store, and I told one of the employees, and they asked me to wait until they talked with the store manager. I waited for about 10-15 min, and in the end, the manager did not come out of his office, and she sent me a message with her employee telling me that she could not do anything. I understand that the manager does not want to be involved in any trouble, but at least she can come out of her office to tell me that. I stopped going to this store even though I live one block away.

I am grateful for it being in the neighborhood. It is a shiny store with pretty good selections and prices. However, the management here needs to give it some love and attention. The kids shopping car-carts lack steering wheels (upset kids). The candy aisle is the same as the cereal aisle (more upset kids). And there are frequently discrepancies between the prices on the aisles and those charged on the register, which is next to more candy (even more upset kids if trying to sort it out). I hope Smiths brings greater oversight and attention to this store and the details as they affect ordinary customers, particularly those with children.

I come here to use their grocery pickup service often, and 99% of the time I have the most wonderful person who brings out my groceries. She makes the interactions special, and delivers the best customer service I’ve ever received. I haven’t seen her in a couple months, but I really hope she’s doing well. Otherwise, this store is great. The location is fantastic, the quality is there, and I’m consistently amazed at how easy it is to find a good deal here. The employees are all very nice and friendly, and I’ve had good conversations with a few of them now. Highly recommend this store over the one on 5th South

I was hoping this would be a good smith's but no. Right away when I walked in I saw the blonde employee lady working at self checkout, possibly named AJ, was wiping her runny nose all over her hands and clothes and then proceeds to leave her register to follow me and my relative around. The store looks like it's kinda under construction and there's no tables or sitting area. So if you want hot deli food then there's no where to sit and eat anything. We called the store to talk to a manager about the blonde employee being gross but they wouldn't get a manager so nothing was done. I won't be returning.

The smiths on the avenues is actually a little better than other average smiths. They have lot of staff to help and they almost do restocking everyday. I always get what I need, like basic needs (eggs, oil and stuff). The location for this store is right in the middle of avenues, so it’s almost accessible for anyone who lives around the avenues area. The parking here is not hard to get, you can always find a spot at any given time. They have ample amount of parking space for this store. They also sell seasonal food, and the quality for the food here also good.

Really nice location! The smallest Smith's in the state, an employee once told me when I asked if they had any dairy free Ben & Jerry's ice cream (they do, in the natural foods aisle). This location actually has more gluten free options than the bigger location on 500s, and have added more in the past year, like gluten free chicken nuggets and even gluten free corn dogs. The employees are really nice, especially the older man in the power wheelchair. Issues with product quality and shortages are Kroger & supply chain issues, not this location's fault.

Terrible customer service at this store. The disabled dude is a real winner with some serious anger issues. He's a complete jerk to customers, he used to be such a nice friendly guy but in the last two years he has turned into a miserable soul who hates his job and takes it out on customers. Quit your job and do something else if your so miserable working there. Same goes to all the zombies who work at this store. Thumbs down to this store location. Would be great if they actually spent some time cleaning the self check out machines once in a while.

1st of all the gas stations show up on the map as your stores. 2nd, they made me put in my SSN twice, and then refused to cash my check WITH my ID and told me there not enough info to cash it and left a nasty inky stamp on the back of my work check from Wells Fargo. I wasted gas and 45 minutes of my day on this, at least I didn't have to fork over the absurd 4-8$ just to get my money. Banks are closed on the weekends where I live, Smiths and Kroger as a whole is the absolute worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

Saw a young lady cashier with pigtails and a white jacket verbally berate and speak profanities to a young gentleman today. He was so frustrated he left without his groceries. I don't usually write reviews but after trying to get ahold of their customer service without success I had to do something. My family has been living in the avenues and going to this smiths for over 20 years. I have never seen a cashier there verbally assault someone the way that young lady did today. Truly disheartening

This store losing soul, becoming impersonal, and frustratingly disfunctional. They still have some full service checkout lines, which I appreciate. But when they only have self checkout available - then I no longer feel as if the cashiers have the time to personalize my checkout experience (they don't have the time to say hello or recognize me because they are made to manage people's self-checkout issues , of which there are many.) I'm contemplating becoming a WinCo or AFresh customer now.

The freezers here are always down and products are always thawed and refrozen usually covered in ice, I purchased bagels on September 21st that expired 19 days earlier! 1/2 the time 1/2 the self checkouts are closed, the meat selection is always terrible and some of the employees are very rude, they are doing a remodel or something but it’s been going on for 2 months, too bad Harmons didn’t move in here…! & prices are terrible, same products elsewhere are 10%+ cheaper.

One of the check clerk was absolutely rude during check out. AJ told us to shut up after being politely ask to sanitize her hands after wiping them all over her runny nose. The is nothing wrong with blowing your nose, but then I don’t want snot covered hands touching my groceries. Other than AJ, the store is great, but I have had this problem with AJ multiple times and she is ruder each time. Try my best to avoid her a check out clerk but it doesn’t always work :(

Almost every time I show up, there are no baskets or small carts, and they aisles are too close together and have too many displays for the large carts to be comfortable. Half the shelves are unstocked. The produce is often moldy or bad. I've lived in the neighborhood for about 10 years and have watched this location quickly go downhill. The best I can say at this point is that the pharmacy has always been great and continues to be great whenever I go.

Update: The remodel doesn’t make sense to me yet. There are some signs at old locations directing people to the news ones, but not for what I needed. It’s making us walk more at least. When I did find someone to help they were very kind and helpful. It’s expensive so we plan to shop around for other places to shop. —- Good store. Was not impressed by their COVID response initially, then it was good... It was nice being able to do pickup...

No complaints, but the loyalty card stuff is annoying. Just offer your best prices without the card. I generally can find what I need, but haven’t found helpful butchers at any of your locations. They always act put out when asked for custom grilling cuts. This is common practice in Texas, but here in Utah they act like your asking them for some major favor. It’s annoying and bad service in most cases.

Kristina was working the cash register on Thanksgiving. Making everyone else unhappy seemed to be her end goal. She decided to yell and berate me and then in a very rude manner yell well I hope you have a Thanksgiving. And under her breath was swearing. Mind you everyone else working was very uncomfortable and still couldn't believe that she was yelling across the front of the store.

One of the managers named Suzanne is one of the rudest and must stuck up people you will meet . She puts down her employees in front of customers and she so ignorant to customers especially the really pretty women who shop there . She is the most fake person ever . I can't believe smith's would hire her . As long as she still works there I won't shop there

  • rigo solano

It was late just before closing, not sure if it was because of the time but the staff were on the rude side, they are remodeling so it was hard to find anything I'm not sure if that was a factor in there behavior. I've always had a good experience at Smiths I'm hoping that it was an one time occurrence.

The last few times we have gone, there were no standard checkout lanes open, only self checkout. None have the space to process a full cart, and the computer constantly forces one to 'wait for assistance' as you shuffle things around trying to get room on the bagging scale.

  • We Are Many

Don't buy your produce at this location, they just left all the fresh produce in the parking lot in 95+degree hot weather. If you like dying from food poisoning go ahead and buy your fruit from this location. The people who work at this location are 100% moron certified.

  • Kathy Decker

Smith's is very close to me, so I go there often....and especially enjoy the beautiful, colorful produce section as I first walk in ! The workers are always helpful, as is "Officer Smith" at the front & the nice lady in the cheese "bar" area !

  • S. Lay

Jesse that works at this location is an angel. Somebody took my phone (by accident) after I left it at the register; when I came back to look, he offered me his personal phone to call people. Lovely, lovely person.

  • Mark R

Most of the people there are really cool. And I would have given 5 stars but I have told 2 separate employees there that they had expired dairy products and week after week the same expired products are there.

  • Ale Lealver

Grocery store has everything I need. It’s a cute location, and they have a state liquor store just underneath the store, all you have to do is take the stairs to the right of the main doors.

  • aaron griego

Living that krogers life. Thinking about getting a simple truth organic, tattoo. Lol. It’s a smiths in a neighborhood that should be able to afford harmons.

  • Jared Barker

Great selection for the size of this store. Got all the healthy foods I needed. Lots of produce high quality

  • Brynne Adamson

Overpriced and often out of stock. Upper parking lot is tiny and cramped

  • Kemo Z
