I STRONGLY RECOMMEND GOING TO SAIL FOR HIKING FOOTWEAR NOT HERE. 2022-08-19 6:30p I visited this store to buy Merrel Moab Hiking Shoes. I was looking at various types of MOAB 2 vs MOAB 3 shoes including Waterproof versions to figure out what was different and waited and waited for any offer of help from staff. Two staff members walked right past me chatting with each other, then walked up to other employees and stood in another section of footwear socializing and goofing around with each other rather than providing help to customers. Hey, that's OK, becuase I looked on the SAIL website and saw they had all the same shoes for the same prices and their website clearly indicated they had my size in stock. I only had to drive 12 minutes to SAIL and received an offer of assistance the second I picked up a shoe. Thanks to James from SAIL for answering all my questions and showing me where I should always go for good service. I ended up buying two different pairs of Merrel hiking shoes from SAIL. 2022-08-24 Was asked by Customer Service below to visit a website to complete a survey. I tried filling in the survey but it cannot be completed without entering personal information (phone/address). The only thing the survey asks me to fill after personal information are my comments in a comments box. No thanks, my comments are already posted above without sacrificing my personal information. I can't seem to reply to the owner's note on google maps, so I am inputting my reply here by editting the original post. I did learn from survey website that Sport Chek is in same umbrella company as Marks & Canadian Tire, which is disapointing because those are two stores I really like.

First and LAST time I order online!! Placed my order through a staff member at the store in Place Orleans on November 25, 2019 and was told it would arrive at their store in 2 to 3 days. It is now December 5th and nothing. The worst part is that I can't get an answer from anyone I speak to. I called the 1-877 number for online customer service and the young lady that I spoke with was maybe even worse than the different staff I spoke to at the store. She tells me they have to do an investigation to find out where my item is. It was delivered in Orleans on December 2nd at 11:45AM but no one seems to know where it is. This item is a Christmas gift, looks like I won't get it before Christmas because it seems to have vanished and I'm told that the investigations are done in chronological order and I will have to wait until it gets to my turn. This experience with Sport Chek is a real nightmare, it will never happen again, I can promise you that!! Terrible customer service!!

I had the worst experience ever and will not be going back! I went to purchase a pair of sneakers & hat from this store today and when I was paying for my merchandise the cashier asked if I'd like to make a donation to a certain cause. I have no problem making donations when I feel to do so but lately everywhere I go I'm being asked. I replied that no I wouldn't and that I'm getting tired of being asked at every store I go to. The cashier next to the one that was serving me at the time spoke in a loud voice to me when other customers were within ear shot of us explaining to me why they ask. I would have had no problem if he would of spoken in a normal tone but that wasn't the case. I felt imbaresed, out of place and humiliated to say the least! I told him that I wouldn't of minded if he had spoken to me in a calmer tone. Not impressed at all!!

Update since my last review... shout out to Sean and Jordan in the bike shop. They did a fantastic job aligning my front wheel and servicing my hydraulic breaks. Bike runs better than new. I can't recommend their service shop enough and the price for all the work was extremely reasonable. Old review from 2 years ago (still valid): I've spent quite a bit of money at this store and I keep coming back. Return are truly hassle free and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Shout out to one of the managers, Sean L, and Jordan in the service shop. I feel confident taking both my road bike and mountain bike in for servicing and get great service and good pricing when I do. The guys in the service shop know what they are doing. Now if only they sold cycling shoes...

This was a very unpleasant experience; looking to replace shoes (that day) few sizes that would fit , the employee in the shoe department was horrendous & I don't think I'll be considering Sportchek for anything , the employee seemed very unmotivated to assist me in the search for shoes , he was more into continuing he's conversation with a friend of he's that came in while he was trying to assist me Scanned what I was looking for went & got a box at a time , kind of dragging he's feet along he's way finally I found shoes that fit , customer service still dropped when I got to the cash ,

I had an amazing experience today at this Sport Check Orleans location. I was looking for a pair of white ski goggles, and the one I really like happened to be the last one. The young man helped me order it online, but there was some glitch on the website and they couldn’t complete it. The manager came help out as well, he was super friendly and helpful. In the end, I took the last one in the store and left with a smile! :) I truly grateful for the customer service they provide, all 2 associates and the manager who helped me were super patient and kind. I highly recommend this location.

Wanted to try on some Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 37. Waited exactly 20 minutes (around 2pm on a Saturday) with the demo shoe in hand wandering around the shoes aisle. Couldn't find an employee. I was even mistaken for a employee?!?! We quit. Saw three employees on our way out. Didn't look at us, didn't care, no "good day" or "have you found what you were looking for" or anything. Went across the street to a RunningRoom. Got full fitting service for more than 30mins, bought a 200$ pair of NewBalance. Not impressed. But pretty happy that this made me go to the small store...

There are not many shopping malls left from the internet. But this Sport Check is my personal favorite to fit a sneaker or a winter boot & the wide range of name brand of jerseys,coats,running wear,lot's of kid's as adults backpacks hockey equipment awsome hockey sticks,skates,boards, name brand sungass.Today got a sick hoodie two DC tank top"s & one plade t shirt button side pocket,inside out pocket deep&can carry a large number of things . . .Over all satisfied every time.Love it.

Delighted with the friendly and timely service at this Sport Chek branch! Chris T diagnosed and repaired my bicycle's punctured tire tube, which a pricier shop (with more intermittent operating hours...) missed. I recommend this location entirely (heh, tire), and I credit their excellent product offerings, complemented by their superb curbside and in-person customer service, with keeping me reasonably sane during the pandemic.

Went to buy an Erik Karlsson jersey when they were on clearance, I had received pros and cons about that store. Pros: polite employees, quick service. Cons: never received email confirmation to say that I can pay for the jersey online, went back and they were sold out and they said that there was nothing that they could do. I am very frustrated with the store and will never order anything from them again!.

I've always been impressed with this location, but even more so with the pick up in store option from an online order. I placed an order for two items and it was available for pick up the next day. That same day, I placed an item for 3 pairs of shoes & it was fulfilled less than half an hour later. It's super convenient to pop into the store & use the lockers, based on them being located near Entrance 6.

I went in intending on picking up a new driver. Their head golf professional was very rude and lazy. He made me hit the few same balls instead of hitting the bucket of balls they had right beside me. All because he didn't want to pick them up after. I would not recommend anyone getting a fitting from them. Their golf simulator is extremely outdated and inaccurate. Save your time and go to GolfTown.

Generally a very pleasant experience when we go to this location. On Tuesday in particular, dealt with a very professional young gentleman, Ryan. His assistance in helping find my desired sunglasses frames and lenses (Oakley) and having the shipping setup was perfect. I feel more confident when I have staff to interact with confirming proper mailing address, stock, pricing etc. Thanks Ryan!

Had my son's goalie skates recently sharpened at this store. It was only once he was on the ice, two minutes before a playoff game, that my son (and I) realised how bad the sharpening was. The blades were worse than before having it done. They didn't cut into the ice at all making it very difficult for him to do lateral movements. Never having skates sharpened there again.

This is a very large sport check. It's got pretty much anything and everything you could possibly imagine. The layout of the store can be a bit confusing when you first get in. I find that within each area there is a great assortment of items and we'll categorized for consistency. A great place to check out if you're looking for athletic wear or sports stuff.

Poor customer service. Purchased skates and went for the first sharpening. Person behind the counter was putting together or fixing a bike. He said it would be at least half an hour to sharpen the skates. You would expect one of the other employees could have been called to sharpen or the guy fixing the bike could have taken the 3 minutes to sharpen them.

Got my first ever bike from them. Did curbside pickup. It took them a bit but I’m assuming they were busy getting ready for the post-pandemic reopening. The bike was already pre-assembled which was nice but unexpected (and problematic for me) since I came in a small car. Good luck fitting a whole built bike in a Civic.

Friendly associate helped me find the perfect running shoes. Asked what my plan was for them, guided me to the proper section. He apologized for their inventory management software glitching and it being slower than usual to find my size, but he was remarkably fast in my opinion. I appreciated his help!

Called ahead as mentioned that I want a certain bike and am coming in from Kanata. Sales said come on by to try it out. Drove from Kanata to orleans and arrived to find sales forget to mention bike is still in box and cannot be built for a few more days. Horrible customer service and waste of time

Excellent service today from Kim! She went above and beyond to help me find a clearance item which wasn’t in stock and suggested she can order and ship to my home, free of charge! Also the cashiers were very nice and also found another item for me very quickly! Thank you! Made my day ladies!

Sport Check is definitely my go-to for anything from workout clothes to snowboarding apparel. It has a nice layout, and they always have great sales. Back-to-school season is crazy at Sport Check though, so be aware that they may not have the exact shoes you want in your size!

Bought a couple of shoes online. I figured I will try them on when I picked up and if they didn't fit, return them right away. To my surprise I found out that since they are clearance items, there's no return. I wish that it was more obvious when I was shopping

Ordered curbside pickup. They did not answer the online check-in or phone. Had to go into store. Instead. It was an hour before close and they were concentrating on closing the store and were very unapologetic. The product was good at a fair price.

I've never had any issues or negative encounters with Sport Chek. Some of the areas seem disconnected and unsupervised. It was very busy in the shoe department during my last visit, you may have to wait a while to get what you are looking for.

Had a complicated issue with a pair of skis that I bought. Long story short, with patience and understanding, I was allowed to exchange my pair for a longer length of the same pair. Appreciate all the hard work and patience of the staff!

Staffs are always helpful and this place has never let me down. Was at Mark’s and was really disappointed by how shady they were about the discount and came over to find the always reliably good sportscheck to have a great deal.

the guy in golf was amazing!!! experience ruined by cashier; coughed in my face, made some kind of sarcastic remark, said my second gift card was not valid could not provide explanation and attempted to keep the card. sketchie.

This place has turned into a dirty, unmerchandized and low stock retail dump. The staff are not helpful and are unaware of promotions, I got the sense that they would rather be elsewhere and I don't blame then.

I was asking for UA drink containers. Unfortunately the lady manager here didn’t seem very friendly at all. They have a severe lack of selection here as well. I’ll go somewhere else to shop from now on.

It has a lot of varieties of clothings and accessories. I would definitely recommend you to visit this store. I am pretty much sure you will be able to get something as per your choice.

Good clean store but gone are the days when they were paid commission and you got quick service. Staff was friendly but they don’t have that same hustle that made Sport Chek amazing.

Great place to get sporting equipment just before spring arrives. Has a wide selection of products with their last season stock going on clearance. Canadian Tire rewards are a bonus.

Understaffed. Waited for employee with change room key and at the register there were 12 customers in line before another employee (15min wait) came to open another register.

Girl at the bike repair has the best service, she alighned my wheel right in front of me and it was fixed in minutes! Didn't try to push services or overcharge!

Good selection of goods. Most of the staff are very good to get help from most of the time. But when you get a really good staff member the service is great.

Always have a good experience at this location. Used it a lot during lockdowns for curbside pickup and it was really efficient. Get great sales here too.

The biggest SportCheck in Ottawa. Very nice place for buying sports goods. During my last visit I noticed that not all clearance items are marked.

Went here to get some new figure skates for my daughter. Salesman was very friendly and helpful, and the skates we were looking for were 30% off.

Would Have been much better experience if the shoe salesperson would have been more interested in me the customer rather than her co-worker.

I had excellent service from both the person who helped me try on shoes and the sales associate who rang my purchase through.

They are currently following COVID protocols (good!). Was there for sandles. Not many in stock (apr 3rd 2021)

Clothes are too expensive. Selection of non clothing items are okay, but also pretty pricey.
