This may well be my favourite Leeds dog park. There is a nice little playground for kids. It's really clean with no Dog poo anywhere. Bins provided. A nice little open Rose Garden to walk around. There's plenty of grass to walk on & play or a lovely winding path. It's on the side of a main road (Intake Lane) so be careful if your Dog's not road cautious. Road side parking to both entrances to the park. I especially love walking around here on a very early morning. It's perfect for me & my pooch as we totally love the quiet peaceful life of a Park. Visited again and now it's got a lovely fencing around and a lovely path to walk around the green grass. Nice socialised Dogs and owners even Alfie and myself I quite enjoyed. So nice to see Dogs under control and on leads. The ones off the leads didn't bother any other Dogs or mine and super friendly folk. We will be back in and Winter. ❤️

Typical of a Leeds park where money allocated to it has been "diverted" to other parks. The footpaths are in bad repair and get waterlogged in bad weather. Considering the proximity of primary schools the children's play area is a joke. You have to avoid vehicles that the drivers think have priority over pedestrians and the odd motorbike plus pedal cyclists zooming across and around. So much potential which will remain unmet in these times of budget cuts and bicycle superhighways.

Love this park, but disappointed in the gates put up! Apparently people with disabilities who use mobile scooters or wheelchairs can now only access the park with a radar key. So hopefully anyone with a disability has a radar key and can negotiate the circular gate access points. Be interesting to see how this works out.

Nice park that is getting better since they added a good path round the perimeter of the park. Reasonably tidy with a swing park for the kids. Football pitches and a rugby one. Needs more benches for people to sit on, not all of us can sit on the grass and get up again. Would also be nice to have an ice cream van there.

A vast playing field with football pitches, rugby pitches and a play area for the children with swings and slide etc. There is even enough space to practice a swing with your golf clubs. Dog walkers welcome with plenty of dog waste bins. Also has a good car park area and is easy accessable.

Stanningley park is flat with a small kids playground at the opposite end to the car park, pitches for rugby and football also a tennis court, and a pleasant walk through the rose garden. When matches are being played on street parking at the playground end can be a problem for the locals.

It's our local park. Nothing too exciting but you can do a full loop around which is 1 mile. Kids play park was a bit run down but appears to be a bit better now. Theres often broken glass in the park which let's it down. Good place to walk the dog.

  • Stuart Davis

Decent sized playing fields for running if you don't want to pound the local asphalt and concrete. Nice gardens in the south west corner. The view out over the valley can be impressive depending on the weather.

  • Matt Ianson

Nice Park. Good enclosed kids play area with a small climbing wall and playgym. Basketball court, football pitches, garden area, big fields. Not fully fenced off so need to be careful with dog.

  • Victoria Lewin

So disappointed with this park. Full of dog poo and the play area was really grotty with lots of broken glass, graffiti and litter. Couldn't let my little boy run around which was such a shame.

  • Lee Clark

Great for a bit of fun outdoors with kids altho it seems teenagers take over on a night, they damage the kids park and scrawl obscene grafitti on the climbing frame.... such a shame really

Nice Park, flat terrain woth cycle/running track the whole way round. Playground suitable for young ones only really. Football pitches. Next to a busy road and parking is awkward. More

Nice, chilly, stroll with Son, Husband and puppy not enough benches to rest at though. I have reduced mobility & found lack of benches a disappointment & difficult for me. …

  • Cheryl Elsom

Lovely spacious park with play area to take kids to and to take the dog for a stroll. Ideal for wheelchair users and mobility scooters. Hosts annual community events. No cafe.

  • Dean Scott

Nothing special at this council park... It has a small play area for children, outdated basket ball court, rugby and football pitches. Handy for dog walkers.

  • Malcolm Lister

Open area suitable for walkers and ball games. Child play area. The park is preparing to keep out the hooligans on trail bikes etc. We'll done!

  • J Harrison

Clean and well maintained park. Ideal for dog walkers. Perfect for families to enjoy the vast grassy area. And a safe kids play area too.

  • R D

  • Vickie Bower

This park is good for dog runs and has a small play area for young children. There are no toilets or a place to buy drinks.

  • Sikander Hussain

Good place to walk your dog, but little else. The children's play area is minimalist, and no public convenience.

  • David Penman

Fairly basic park for children, however it is nice and relatively tidy, basketball court is in severe disrepair

The park itself is terrible but the green fields around are lovely and flat, good for walks but not very big
