I've been frequenting Starbucks for decades, all over California and here in New Mexico. I appreciate the business model, which appears to be rooted in a really high end European cafe sensibility. In addition to the coffees and snacks, I sometimes buy bags of beans to stock my kitchen. Obviously, I am a fan. But this location struggles to deliver a consistent product. Judging from the types of mistakes made frequently, I suspect they probably have a high turnover rate. Especially now, during Covid, I rather think it is a miracle that this place stays open at all. I will say that the staff has always been super friendly and eager to please, something I really appreciate. First of all, this location is plagued with access issues and always has been, but ever since the construction project started on the northwest corner of Broadway and Lomas, it has been an absolute nightmare. It took me a minute of driving around to figure out how to get into the parking lot and to the drive-through. A couple of the streets are blocked and there are construction vehicles everywhere. It isn't Starbucks' fault that they are so hard to access, but it is an issue. They're the closest Starbucks to my house, so this is the one I frequent. Today, I placed an order for a grande mocha with whole milk, extra hot, with an extra pump of chocolate syrup (my typical order) and a chicken and bacon panini sandwich to go with it. My order was repeated back to me twice: once at the speaker of the menu board and again when I got to the window to pay for it. What I RECEIVED, however, was a grande mocha without whipped cream. NOT my order at all. The sandwich was half filled with shavings of chicken and fatty undercooked bacon. Fortunately, I was taking the sandwich home with me, so I just took the sandwich apart and popped the bacon into a pan and cooked it the rest of the way, then put it back in the sandwich. The flavor was surprisingly very very good. But I REALLY missed getting the mocha I had ordered and I missed the whipped cream that I never asked to be omitted. Maybe they gave me someone else's coffee order. I paid $12 and change for an incorrect order. I don't mind paying a premium price for a premium product, but that is not what I got today, so I feel cheated. If we weren't going through a pandemic, I would probably give 2 stars for today's fiasco. I'm just adding a star to most of my reviews, in consideration of the difficulty of staying in business during Covid, which is what I did here. They get 3 stars for today's order.

Placed my online order at at 8:27 am. Said see you soon, so I drove over. Place was packed and my order wasn't ready (8:34) so I stood there and waited. At 8 :41 I was finally able to get someone attention to ask what was taking so long. He said they must not have got my order but if I followed him to the register he'd get me taken care of. He verified my order on my phone, said he was going to upside the drinks (2) and get me out of there. So I waited thinking he was making then. (He said he was taking care of me) I didn't get my drinks because they took care of EVERY order that had in front of when he upsides upsized me 1st. Peeole were in and out while while stood there. I finally walked out at 8:53 when I had to be somewhere by 9:30. It was the worst experience EVER. Those people were so busy talking among themselves that they never even looked up when a customer tried to get their attention . I wasn't the only one waiting. One lady actually reached across the waiting area counter at someone and had to raise her voice to the tell them they were making her order wrong!!! I'll continue to shop Starbucks but not this location. Driving the extra few minutes to Washington is worth the time to avoid the aggravation of this location! ( NOT myself 1st bad experience here, but definitely the worst) and the store was so dirty too.! I usually drive-thru. Yuck

I go to this Starbucks A LOT (probably because it’s the only one with a drive-through in the downtown area), and, to be fair, even though their drive-through is very difficult to get into an out of, the service is always fast and great! In years past, before the pandemic, I even enjoyed hanging out in the lobby. However, today I had the worst Starbucks hot drink I’ve probably ever had. Every once in a while I’ll order an Americano and it’ll be like murky hot water… I can barely taste the coffee. this typically happens when the barista making the drink doesn’t look at my instructions ahead of time and fills it to the top with water. I like heavy soy and so they need to leave about an inch of room at the top to put the soy milk in. If they fill it up with too much water they just throw some out and I think it’s the same thing but it’s not it waters it down like crazy… Today, I keep taking a sip, putting it down for a few minutes, and taking another sip… waiting for the flavor to come. There’s no flavor. Jist none! all I can taste is the slight sweetness of soy milk. It’s like somebody made a Venti Americano with a single shot and then poured 2/3 of it out and added my soymilk. Just nothing. Nada! This is not in the Starbucks tradition! I just hate making a special trip to Starbucks and then being disappointed. :-(

Plus, they close the doors at 6pm and only offer drive-thru after that. I guess they really don't want anyone to come in and sit down. If you want a sit-down café experience with infinitely better coffee and supporting a local business in this neighborhood, Villa Myriam Roastery is just a couple of blocks away.] This is my usual SB location. The folks are friendly, the drinks & food are always consistent. The main thing I don't like about this location is that it's kind if difficult to get to. By car: the parking lot is tiny and the cars in the drive thru line (both SB and the Carl's Jr drive thru) block you from getting out. As a pedestrian: you have to cross the drive-thru cars' path to get to the door and often the cars are blocking the path. By bike: same as pedestrian except there's nowhere to park your bike! There used to be a bike rack but it was taken away during the last renovation after the fire. I've requested it back multiple times. Hopefully this new renovation will bring it back.

This starbucks has the rudest customer service ever, and their drinks are hit or miss due EMPLOYEES not caring about providing a great tasting drink...VERY SAD. What a circus I drove into today, the drive thru was closed at 945 am on a Monday, with a sign stating hope you understand? NO! What I don't understand is why, order ahead is turned off, if the drive thru IS CLOSED? Basically forcing people to get out of their cars. Hello, clueless starbuck employees, some customers have babies, dogs or elderly people in the car, which make it hard when the drive thru is closed. Not to mention the risk of COVID! Its obvious that this store is competely lacking, rude employees, closed drive thru, drinks not that great. Oh and only the manager, whom was out of the store can turn on ahead ordering, WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE THIS PLACE IS. Apparently the drive thru window was broken, so punish the customers? Last week their scanner was broken so they have to take your phone if the app is being used? Also, fair warning THIS PARKING LOT SUCKS!! Do better Starbucks, ill wait to see what the issue is next week. LOL

I ordered two drinks. Venti Quad White Mocha and a Venti Breve Blonde Misto. They totally messed up and gave me a quad breve blonde misto that was a size grande... I understand they're super busy weekday mornings. If she would have listened to my order it would be simple to understand. However, she was to busy talkig to co-workers. I could hear her through the intercom. When I pulled up to pick up window, they did not greet me with a "I'll be right with you." Totally rude. Then they gave me my drinks and took my card, swiped and gave back. No "Have a nice day." Isn't it Starbucks policy to make every customer feel welcomed so they continue to come back? I drove straight to the Starbucks on 12th Street so they could get it straightened out. They're a friendly staff. I will never go back to the Lomas and Broadway store. Instead of having fast service and being proud of being the fastest in Abq. They should focus on quality.

If I could rate them at a big fat zero, I would, but then there's no chance to leave a review. The employees here are usually a bit rude. U walk I'm with a backpack, automatically you're homeless=rude treatment. I happen to not be. I walked my dog over to our closest Starbucks tonight. Apparently I was 5 mins late, well 3 to be exact, and the doors were closed and locked. A very rude employee,who didn't even make eye contact with me, tapped angrily on the window, pointing to hours. As I walked away,I realized that they're still serving car after car after car, in the drive thru. Just not me, on foot. I didn't want to hang out inside or "dirty" up their lobby with my "homeless" cooties. I just wanted a drink. Isn't my money as good as the people in their cars? Apparently not. Great customer service guys thanks! Will be taking this complaint to corporate office. Maybe someone there can be snooty to them.

First of all the location for this is the most busiest since it caters to the downtown area and I’m sure the workers come here a lot. I’m really disturbed about the drive-through. Going through a parking lot. I saw a car backing up almost hitting another car. This is definitely not preferred. Anyways poor planning. I’m writing this review because the drink I ordered was a strawberry refresher. I was given a strawberry lemonade instead. when I asked the girl about it she said that prices went up? Then she tried to explain how the prices and taxes equal the amount which resulted in a refresher being $5.33 instead of the normal $4.79. I get refreshers all the time so for her to tell me that, was a lie so train your employees better on drinks and prices.

I absolutely love this location... It is my favorite location actually... It has everything to do with the Amazing Friendly Baristas! Every time I come in to order my Venti Blonde Quad Shot White Mocha... Every Barista is just overflowing with happiness and it runs off.. If you want your Starbucks drink to taste better I recommend you come here because everything made with a good attitude and love has a much more lasting flavor and it is very noticeable and something you have to try and experience for yourself.. So with an open Heart... Yes even when you're at Starbucks you need Love and and open mind. ✨Believe✨☯️♾️✝️ Together we can bring God and Patience back into our lives and our Country.

I pre-ordered my hot caramel macchiato, when I get to the location a mile or so from my home, the line was all way out to the street. I pre-ordered because I was in a hurry. After waiting for 20+ mins I was only half way through the line and I could not go inside to just pick my coffee up. Even if I had waited an additional 20 mins my drink would have been cold and due to the long line I doubt it would have been remade. I called they said they would refund my on my Starbucks card and they didn't. What's the purpose of pre- ordering if u r unable to pick up ur order quickly, opposed to those who still need to place their order?!?!?

New manager was a total "b" she was rude and tried to tell me that my drink had sugar in it when I asked for low fat milk, then she got frustrated about points and charging our card. She was acting like she was helping but being passive aggressive about it. Then they made my daughter's coffe wrong and used whole milk instead of almond milk but we were so mad we left, we used to go to this Starbucks often, but no more, the one on Washington and Lomas helped us out straightened out our drink and was totally friendly and helpful. That's our new Starbucks now (lomas and Washington way better)

I went to this location the past two days instead of my normal one and my experiences have been absolutely amazing. Whoever worked yesterday and today on drive thru, thank you so much for your kind service. I could feel it through the box and I appreciate you immensely. The two baristas at the window were so pleasant and kind as well, I really am blown away by the service I received. I’m a barista as well and I understand how hard this year has been on service workers, so thank you for giving me some of the kindest treatment I have had in a very long time. You guys are appreciated.

I just went in ordered myself a white chocolate mocha no whip cream extra hot triple shot got my coffee the guy at the window wasn't the nicest person but as I drove up I touched the lid and it felt really cold so my coffee a lot of whipped cream on it I even took a picture I tried calling the location and nobody answered I'm sure they are busy but now I'm stuck with a coffee I cannot drink because I can't have whipped cream I turned around to go back in their drive-thru and they have about 12 cars in line which I do not have time to wait so thanks a lot for nothing

This store is always INSANELY busy. I've had people scare the hell out of me in the parking lot driving like maniacs! So, be careful! The wait can be crazy long, too-whether you go in or use the drive-thru. And, ultimately, you are not guaranteed a good coffee. I make a point when I go (I am a coffee addict) to give the drink a taste test before I leave. I often have to ask them to remake the drink because it is no good. Consistency is definitely an issue. But, the people who work there are mostly pretty friendly. The manager sucks so don't expect her to help.

This place is on its own program. Sign out front says they don’t open until 7:00? Never seen that at a Starbucks before but it’s now after 7 having to go through the drive thru that took forever and there are people waiting outside because they are still not open. Got my venti size order and it was only 3/4 full? My favorite part of the entire experience was when the lady at the window asked for a tip!

I purchased a venti white chocolate mocha. Upon receiving the cup I noticed it seemed rather light, but didn’t think too much of it. Once home I noticed I was only given half a cup of coffee while the rest of the cup was filled with foam to make it appear as if I was given a full cup. As a paying customer (paying more for the size) I expect my request for the correct amount of fluid to be given. Highly, unsatisfied. Appears to be a few other complaints of the same nature. Management will be contacted.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!!! Order was NOT filled correctly and completely missed one item after waiting 25 minutes. EVEN WORSE, Used the bathroom and the toilet was loose, injured myself, took photos of the loose toilet, moved 4" away from the wall. Complained and of course they said they would have it looked at and of course, they claim there was nothing wrong it. Spent $9500 so far on medical bills due to knee damage and Starbucks headquarters as well as this location could care less.

Ordered a specific way so as to get what I wanted. It wasn’t a difficult order, just didn’t want oat milk. I was given a clumpy oat milk drink, asked why it was lumpy and they said the oat milk is usually lumpy until it’s mixed. It was a shaken drink so there was no reason for the lumps. Asked them to remake with regular milk and they went extra slow, probably because they were annoyed.

The person who took my order 7/2722 at~4ish was rude. Aside from rushing through my order, specifically asked for a hot latte, my order was repeated back, but at the window I’m handed an ice latte and the look on her face was a look of annoyance w/me. Like, what did I do? She takes the drink back and it’s later just trashed and the barista did not look happy to remake my drink, that’s prob why it tastes bad… worst 6+ dollars I’ve spent on coffee.

I have visited this location at least 12 times. Almost every single time I have had to wait over 15 minutes for my order which is typically one latte and an ice water. I mobile order frequently but still end up waiting even after my arrival. This last time I ordered 20 minutes ahead of time, showed up and it was still not ready even though there were maybe 4-5 other people in the store including the drive thru. Not impressed, quite disappointed.

EXTREMELY slow. No indoor or outdoor seating. If this is not offered because of threatening individuals hanging out, then maybe you need to get thenpolice involved or close up. Andrea and savannah make a horrible experience at this location! I went to this location 3 times thinking maybe it was just the individual but it’s the whole location and their negative energy, and gossiping attitude was the worst. Those two individuals though should not be on the window, as they don’t engage with customers and makes you feel very uncomfortable. Please help train this location to provide a better customer experience!

This Starbucks has been having restroom issues. I went there yesterday and the day before. On both occasions one restroom was out of order. The other was not very clean. The hand drying machine didn’t work, and there were no paper towels. On both days, when I asked for the combination for the restroom, an employee escorted me and put the combination in herself. That said, the service was friendly and my latte was excellent.

So, I was in Abq for business and stopped through drive through for a sandwich. My car horn started blaring all by itself (I ended up having to pull the fuse) and the staff was STILL super nice to me at the window, even though it appeared to them I was an insane person that wouldn't stop honking my horn in the drive through. If that's not excellent customer service, I don't know what is. Those folks deserve a medal.

I’ve only been here 3 times, all 3 times I attempted to order a black coffee, and all 3 times there was a reason I couldn’t order a regular black coffee. If you just want regular old coffee, this is not the place to get it. I will never spend another dollar at this pathetic location. Also, the baristas weren’t very nice about it, maybe I just always get the curt employees, but that’s my very real experience.

Nice service and nicely remodeled location however multiple homeless people camped out harassing patrons for money / stealing all of the cream and milk - really felt more like a soup kitchen. Drive thru line about 14 cars deep and extremely limited parking and crazy drivers in the parking lot. With all the fantastic independent coffee shops this location should not be on your list of places to stop at.

Kinda fast but extremely crappy service from a young, extremely short girl with dark hair. She was unable to offer any recommendations . To top it off no notice was given when our order was complete. I literally figured out the two cups that had been sitting on the counter were mine by checking the receipt on it. They weren't even busy, 2 inside counter girls with 2 sets of customers. ???

I occasionally visit starbucks. But I live to buy cups I asked the person in the drive up window if they had any new ones I was told I should've gone in to order. That's the 1st time I have ever had that response I guess the person at the window didn't realize I know they got money for selling cups. His/her loss I stopped at the one on unser and had no issues. I ended up buying 2 cups.

Parking is horrible. Every time we go there, we have to get down and order. Ordering through the drive thru employees are just flat out RUDE! That's uncalled for. Going inside and ordering, employees ALWAYS FORGET to make my 3rd drink, even when they're not busy. I have to go back up to the counter and ask for it. They are always apologetic, but come on people get it together.

Most of everone know me by name its like my second home every one nice especially Alexis she so kind and thoughtful. It's also vary cozy there. Always have a good feeling there. I also watch the employee back though i dont have to so they safe. I do this not that the employees are nice if i notice something wrong i report it to the employee or the manager out of respect.

I Ordered a venti coffee and only 3/4 of it was filled. The lid just popped off and wouldn't stay on. What's the point of paying full price for a venti when you get a grande? I didn't notice how much liquid was in my coffee until I got to class, other wise I would have told the "baristas" right away. Skip this location and head to the Rio Grande or Central Location.

I ordered a bottled Teavana tea through the mobile app and they didn’t have it in store. Not my fault or theirs but I still felt really bad. Ladarius and his manager were very friendly and let me order something off the menu. They should really fix the app but I’m glad these guys made it so easy to resolve the issue for me. Definitely recommend this location!

They have the best customer service!! The employees are always so friendly and just seem genuinely nice! I have never had an employee be rude to me or be anything but extremely nice!! Plus they always are on point with making my drinks! I will and do pass the Starbucks by my house and go out of my way just to deal with good people who know make great drinks!

The woman at the counter didn’t care to prepare the order straightforwardly, even than the order was placed before because I need to return to the office on time. Unfortunately, this location has become very bad. The turnover with their employees is not very good and the service is suffering. I come to this location 4 times a week but I'm finished. They never are able to make my order correctly and are always out of product. This is just sad. I'm hoping that someone will step in and right this sinking ship.

The Person on 3/18/2022 at 8:57 once we pulled up to window he responded by saying out registers our closing so your going to need to order pretty quickly with the nasty attitude who ever was there should not be in Customer Service at all I work at Starbucks and we would've never done that we would've let the Customer order and then shut down.

It sucks because the Starbucks is so close to my house. They never have enough parking and when they do you get locked in to your parking space because the drive-through line blocks everybody in. This is also the slowest Starbucks we have in town. No matter how busy or slow they are it takes quite a while to get your coffee.

Today 6/1/22, the large man working the drive thru window around 12:30pm ish was unnecessarily rude. I said hi, he didn't say anything but the total. When leaving, I said thank you, he didn't reply and he kept his back facing me. I've never seen this bro working here before. Everyone else is usually pleasant though.

Customer service is mediocre. The barista was rude with me and takes down to me. I have a medical disorder that allows me to not have to wear my mask. I tried to show her my medical papers that I carry with me but she didn’t give me a chance ... she wouldn’t let me pay for my order until I put a mask on. Sad

Place has really gone downhill. Transients and homeless people constantly harass you while you are in line or hang out by the front door. Orders are routinely wrong which results in having to make a second trip to the location. The partners are usually nice but the overall system needs work

The staff are polite and helpful. However, they play their music so loudy that it's difficult to have a conversation. I asked them twice to turn the music down, and they did for s couple minutes, but then turned it up louder. Even on the patio, the music is so loud that it's unpleasant.

This the one I frequent the most because it's in the area I live in. These guys are always friendly and informative when you ask questions. But due to COVID-19 and their location you have to ask to be let into the bathroom and the condiment station is closed.

The morning weekday crew is so amazing at this Starbucks, I truly miss seeing them over the weekend! They treat me so well that I will go out of my way so I could purchase my lattes from there! In other words the team at that store is absolutely terrific!

I love the drinks I get here . But, twice in a row they forgot something I ordered . Last time they forgot my cake pop, this time they forgot my sandwich. They said I didn't order a sandwich, I said yes I did . And reminded her what sandwich it was .

Courteous employees, got the order right 5/5 visits and delicious drinks. Cleanliness was the only missing star consistently. Straw leavings and dirty floors mostly. Good location and quick drive through. A great starbucks to visit.

When we lived downtown ABQ for the past 6 months this was the closest Starbucks. Can I say I am so happy this is no longer my Starbucks. Multiple times they got my coffee wrong or charged the wrong amount and did nothing to offer to correct

I've been to this location a few times and each time I've gone there is something going on. They have homeless people yelling in there store to other customers and they don't say anything. Which I find disturbing. I went again this morning

This place is always super busy in the morning and around lunch time. If you park you may not be able to leave quickly due to the drive thru line that wraps around the bldg and parking lot. But the folks are quick and the service is good.

15 minutes in this drive-through after ordering two coffees. As I’m sitting there I am watching cars ahead order food last minute at the window and being allowed to wait instead of pulling up and allowing the line to move. Ridiculous.

This location is pretty rough given the layout for the drive thru so gettin in and out is a mission. However the service is great as always and fairly quick (it's location makes it a bit rough in the morning because it's downtown)

Starting to see a trend with some Starbuck locations, including this one. Cups, no matter the size, are not being filled all the way. We never get whipped cream. Usually drink filled 1/2 to 3/4 of the cup. Waste of money.

Removed all chairs and tables inside so now it’s just mediocre coffee with better options nearby. At least they’re open somewhat late? I’m finding more reasons to not go to Starbucks anymore and opt for local alternatives

Drive-thru. Best ever experience at a Starbucks since I got my first Starbucks' card in 1990. Our staff was friendly and efficient. I could tell they were smiling under their masks. It made my day! Thank you Starbucks!

Do not go here! The woman at the drive thru handed me my tea with the lid barely on. As she handed it to me the lid came off and boiling water spilled all over my hand went to urgent care with second degree burns!!

It's A Very Peaceful friendly vibe, no worries, and the Vanilla Bean Vente with whip cream and caramel is just like a Vanilla Milkshake with a wake up call. The Staff was very nice also.
