As a former student, this school has caused me trauma that lasted into adulthood. Mind you I was a student roughly from 2000-2004. I have very unpleasant memories of teachers mistreating me as a child (and other students definitely). If my memory serves me correctly, I was not allowed to have my lunch because I didn't finish a test/quiz in time on several occasions. Another instance, I was forced to sit in a class during lunch recess as detention all because I was not fast enough putting on all my winter clothes. Oh, not to mention my first grade teacher grabbing my wrist and yelling at my face for something I apparently did but have no clue what it was... these are just few of countless instances I've had. These behaviors are traumatic to children and teaches them that they deserve punishment for things beyond their control. It severely affects their self esteem and can lead to poor mental health lasting into adolescence and even adulthood. I pray that this school has immensely improved, and that teachers are understanding that children are fragile and that some have mental health conditions (I.e. ADHD)

As a former student of this school, I can undoubtedly say that this school is completely garbage. I've been looking back before I was in the school, and it actually looked like a credible school. Unfortunately, due to new principals and the pandemic making everything worse. This place changed. I feel like the teachers no longer care about you after the latest principal came in. Everything looks so degraded since 2017 and the washrooms are just unbearable. Not only that, but there are basically no more activities to do. They removed all clubs and the field trips aren't half as interesting as they were before. In 2015, they went to MONTREAL and PARLIAMENT HILL! Where did my class go? Nowhere but Bill Mason Centre. Which was filled with mosquitoes. They also had yearly movie nights, ski trips, ice skating, and Halloween dance. They don't do that anymore. They just cancel it. Please, do not come to this school, there are much better options out there.

I was at this school from grade 1 - 6. The school was fine until grade 3 or 4 there was a new principle. The principle made some changes that were not very good like having to sing o canada outside in the harsh weather unlike inside with ac. there were other things too. The work was super boring. I had one teacher whos classes were 3 hours each day and all we did were work sheets. On some occasions we would do something fun but besides that all we did were insanely boring work sheets. There are some good teachers but most of them were giving boring work too. The restrictions are also very strict. You were not allowed to hold sticks. Most schools do this but idk i just think its a dumb rule. Honestly pretty trash school. Dont go here. 1 star.

This school is amazing just saying, and almost all the reviews are made by slps students that I know and yes i'm from slps too so boo ya. Also the teachers are very nice and MAKES US DO HOMEWORK RELATED TO THE SUBJECT. The problem is that the homework is too easy... Beat that 1 star person. I'm not as rude as you think. Oh yeah and btw you have to get Mrs McGrath or else you haven't had the full experience a SLPS.

This school makes you feel like you are in prison as they have bars on their windows. Some of their teachers have absolutely no common sense what so ever. They make my child do incompetent work that has nothing to do with the subject at hand. EDIT: Mrs. Mcgrath = 4.99 stars SLPS = 0.01 stars. Mrs. Mcgrath leaving means SLPS = 0.01 stars

As a former student of this school, I can confidently say that this school is utterly terrible. The building alone can drive you out of this place. The bathrooms are SO OLD and the boy's bathroom urinal is literally exposed with 0 privacy whatsoever. I'd rate this school a 0/5 if possible, stay away from this school at ALL COSTS.

Only good things about this school were the vice principal and M. A, Mme Riem, and Mrs. McGrath (she is definitely the best). The vice principal left, M. A left, Mrs. McGrath retired, and Mme Riem is the only teacher that might still be working there that I liked. I had a good time but I don’t think the future generations will.
