Give credit where credit is due! Shout out to Steve's Auto Clinic in Montague Gardens! I took my car there for a service last week Thursday & score them top marks for a job well done! There's a vibe, an energy & an enthusiasm in everyone you encounter when you enter the premises. This team are happy in their jobs & there's a cohesion & cameraderie that no money can buy. I was called within 3 hours of dropping the vehicle to be given a rundown of what needed to be sorted out & an estimate of what it would cost. They're not the cheapest car service provider, but you *do* get that value added customer service & client experience. They shuttled me home in the morning & picked me up in the afternoon (& did one courtesy trip in-between when I realised I'd left my house keys in the car at the mechanic ) When I collected my vehicle, it had been washed & vacuumed & was ready to roll. Toilets are always clean & neat & there's a cup of tea/coffee offered if you have a bit of a wait. A day after collecting, the 'Service Due' dashboard light came on, together with an oil warning light. I called them that morning to report it - after a quick diagnosis that I could safely drive the vehicle they asked if I could bring it in. They did a quick check, cleared the messaging cache & problem seems to be resolved. If the message returns - which we believe it won't - they're happy to send someone out to me to attend to the vehicle further. I've taken vehicles there for several years now & its always been a good experience, so this time wasn't a once-off encounter. Their service levels remain consistent! I feel valued as a customer. I feel heard & I feel taken care of. And feelings are what Customer Service is all about!!

I took my vehicle to Steve's Auto Clinic early December 2021 to replace vibration damper. After this there was a strange sound and therefore took vehicle back a week later only for the mechanic to confirm the sound should not be there and he advised that 2 other parts are replaced (despite admitting that these 2 parts were checked and confirmed to be in good shape). Having spent the extra money to replace additional parts, the strange sound was still there and just got worse over the holiday. Early January 2022 I took my vehicle to the agents who advised that the vibration damper installed is not the same size as the original and hence causing a vibration. Again I forked out funds to replace the same vibration damper Steve's Auto Clinic replaced 3 weeks earlier. Luckily, this resolved the strange sound. I took the part back to Steve's Auto Clinic and asked for a refund as they sold me the incorrect part and had a chance to correct it after I took my vehicle back a second time, yet they wanted to replace other parts. They refused a refund and insist that there is nothing wrong with the their part (despite their mechanic admitting to the strange sound as described earlier). Will not recommend them.

Steve's Auto on Koeberg Road in Cape Town is possibly the worst place to take your vehicle as a female car owner. I took my vehicle to them due to finding good reviews, but was sorely disappointment with the service and the output. 1. My car was left with a sizable paint scrape on the driver's side. 2. They did not perform the vehicle inspection in my presence and therefore they would not take accountability of the mistake as the inspection report was bias to the vehicle inspector. 3. The person who I interacted with to release my vehicle from the shop, was rude and dismissive and displayed poor customer service. 4. An initial minor vehicle service was evaluated at R1800, and eventually I paid R3300, due to a need to change out my water bottle, of which was not damaged in the first place. With additional labour costs and miscellaneous items. This is seen to often, the sales team trys to manipulate the customer into unnecessary costs, and negligence in handling a customer's vehicle is covered up by the team... I'm sure going to a local news publication will be very unfavorable and will tarnish your brand. Do right by the customer by ensuring good and fair customer service!

I took my car to 3 workshops who couldn't fix the my car (needless to say, I spent thousands at these workshops and these workshops were RMI registered) before visiting Steves Auto Clinic. When I took my vehicle to them, I described the problem, they immediately knew what the problem was. They took my car into their workshops (even though I didn't have a booking) and 20 minutes later, the car drove like a brand new vehicle. When I wanted to go and pay, they said that I don't have to pay anything, I insisted, but they said no. Shaun was the service advisor who assisted me, unfortunately I didn't get the technician's name who was just as great as Shaun. I will forever be sure to use them for all my future vehicle services ect. and most definitely recommend them when someone needs to have a service/repair done to their vehicle. Thank you Shaun and Steves Auto Clinic, yesterday you have obtained another lifetime customer who wouldn't even consider using another workshop.

I was served at the Milnerton branch. I misdiagnosed an issue on my car and they phoned me right away to tell it's a much cheaper fix. Ended up paying less than half their initial quote. Second time I was quoted 5k for a u joint replacement and propshaft realignment/servicing. Ended up costing 3k. With all the scammers and idiots out there in the mechanics world it is refreshing to experience this sort of honest service. I will definitely be bringing my vehicles to SAC in the future. Special thanks to Brian at SAC for his top tier service. UPDATE 26/11/21: Had more work done and Brian and the team have delivered again. Great service and great pricing. Will continue to make use of their services. Thanks guys

My head gasket blew and the engine was replaced at SAC boksburg at the cost of R40k. The car was then towed to Cape Town, where I live, but it was misfiring when I received it. I raised the matter with them and it was resolved at SAC"s (boksburg) cost at the milnerton branch in Cape Town; credit to them for this. Within a month, the engine kept on overheating and I took it to the milnerton branch where the petrol pump was replaced at about R5K. The head gasket of the replaced engine blew within weeks. Neither branch accepted responsibility. The milnerton branch referred me to boksburg and they referred me back to the milnerton branch. Basically, neither branch was willing to assist me.

Great service. I had help very quickly. They fixed my car very well and explained everything that was wrong with the car. They showed me where all the costs involved in the fix went. Happy with the service. I have 2 strong complaints that I would want to change before visiting SAC again. 1) The driving service: There was a driver that took me to work as I did not have a car. He drove extremely recklessly with out any care for his passengers in the car. Very unprofessional and in future I would prefer to just walk the 7km. 2) The sticker that was placed on my rear window. Very annoying, especially when it is placed on my window skew.

Look they serviced my car and replaced a bunch of parts and my car works well now, so yay for them, but they were really shocking at communication and checking if it was ok to replace parts. Eventually I paid R14 000 (yes that's fourteen big ones) and they didn't even have the courtesy to go through what they had done with my car with me. Disclaimer, i really am one of those women who knows sweet jack about cars, but if my R14k is good enough for you, then you can take ten damn minutes to explain it to me. Next time I'll go back to Volkswagen. At least they pretend to care about the chunk they've just taken out of my salary.

Very disappointing and extremely expensive. Took my car in to fix the fual consumption, dyna tune, sort out ECU and do a service. When picking up my car I was told they could not dyna tune or sort out ECU and paid R2400 for a oil change, 4 plugs, oil filter and they charged me for blowing out the air filter, that I fitted a week ago and was brand new. Got a report and 'fixes' that ended up being R12k. All of this and could not resolve or assist the original problem and a full invoice for 4 items that should have included a dyna tune. I am sure other people are very happy, but I will never go back to them.

Absolutely terrible service!! Took my car in, in working condition and I received it back not working. Car is spitting out water from the exhaust pipe, they didn't put the water cap back on - car overheated while driving, I received the car back and it was rattling, I was told that the suspension wasn't put on properly when they replaced my clutch. They unnecessarily replaced my speedo cable (previous cable was working fine) my needle is now jumping up and down. And for all of this I was charged 12k!! Worse service ever!! Will never take my car there again!

I was skeptical about bringing my vehicle here after reading the reviews of other customers experiences that wasn't happy with the service .please guys give Steve another chance. I sent my car in they had it for three days . But the problem was sorted out and saved me some money. I am yet to see some honest garages around like steve auto i'm talking agents too. Thank you to Shaun for been honest and upfront my experience will definitely bring me back her. I walked away happy and relieved. Thank you steve auto clinic for the outstanding service. Keep it up.

First time i went to service my car, customer service was excellent. When i booked it in again for other repairs i had to wait 3hrs for them to call me to confirm the quote, since i was on night duty i was tired and ended up taking a nap after 3hrs. Woke up to numerous missed calls 2hrs later and a text informing me that they did nothing to the car. They did not want to hear anything from me, all i got was "call us when you want to book it in again". Had to go pick up my car. I was thoroughly disappointed with the customer service.

Overall happy with the service, nice staff pleasant to deal with - however they did place a sticker on my back windscreen - very annoying considering that a client complained of this two months ago and the marketing manager said this had been taken up with the branch and it would not happen again. Clearly nothing has been done! If you want your clients to market your company the least you can do is ask permission. Perhaps i should come and dump all my marketing stuff on your doorstep! Not impressed!!!

Good service and very organized staff at the front desk, but many things were missed and/or not correctly diagnosed during my previous vehicle check, plus I was quoted for unnecessary items, such as a service- which was in fact done at the agents a month before the booking with SAC and was recorded in the book, which they failed to check. So just a word of warning to check the SAC quotes thoroughly. As far as mechanics go, they're a 5/10 in my opinion. Good for normal services, but nothing more.

Tried SAC for the first time and dealt with Brian Dennis. He honestly restored my faith in humanity! What a legend and can honestly say the best customer service I’ve received in all the years I’ve had my cars serviced, all via the main dealers! Attentive, responsive, quoted me happy, sound advice and even attended to a niggle that VW refused to sort out. I came in this morning and was greeted very friendly by the front staff and I was assisted by Nathan in a very professional manner . The driver , Neville took me home. I received a call not even 2hours later saying that they are finish and Neville will come fetch me again. I felt very safe while driving with Neville as I am a very nervous passenger usually . I have taken two vehicles there for services and repair for the last 5 or 6 years. Service is really great and the people add that personal touch. Prices are also very reasonable. I have often had an amount quoted for repairs and then have to actually pay less by the time I collect my car. In fact I have taken my car in to check a noise and they fixed the issue without any charge at all. It was a minor issue but still other companies would have charged.

Excellent service. I have been using (sometimes even abusing) SAC Milnerton for a number of years. To date they have serviced and repaired 5 different vehicles of mine. Volkswagen 2.5tdi, Toyota Landcruiser, Ford Fiesta, BMW 318i and a Toyota Prado. Excellent fault diagnosis. The work done ranged from a minor service to an engine rebuild. Great service with no hassles. My Polo decided not to start just after it ran out of warranty. Got it towed to SAC and they were able to diagnose it. Thankfully was just the battery and nothing more sinister unlike the breakdown service who couldnt jump start it or VW who were going to charge me over a R1k just for the privilege of looking at it! Definitely recommend and definitely will be using in the future (although I hope we don't need to!)

What i most appreciate about Steves is that they're not like other mechanic sharks that call you to report a dozen things wrong with your car & then overcharge you R1000's to repair & replace. I was happy with the service and all was dealt with quickly and professionally, except the part where they put their marketing in the form of a sticker on my back window, that is super inconvenient to take off, without first asking for consent to do so. I won’t go back based on the fact that I don’t want to waste 20+ minutes taking off their stupid marketing from my car every time I need work done!!!

I had a very bad experiance with them. First they forgot to write down my booking. Then I had to wait almost 2 hours for a lift home. When I got my car the temperature light went on and it was as if the engine was overheating. I called them to let them know what happened and they must suggested I don't drive it for the evening and bring it back to be checked. I feel very unsafe using them again.

For example I took my parents in laws car in with a suspected blown turbo - it cost me about R5.00 for a new hose clamp - that's it! And for that I will never NOT recommend thus place
