Couldn’t recommend Jon from summer travels enough! Being from England and never travelling to Australia before we didn’t know where to start, the best places to see or how to do it. Jon got in touch with us after a post we put on Facebook and put together a timetable for everywhere we wanted to go for free. He also made a list of all the accommodation for us - which we booked ourselves in the end as we was still a bit nervous paying when we didn’t know if this was a legitimate company or not which jon was completely fine about - it did work out probably more expensive for us doing it this way so probably easier to just do it through Jon next time. And then mainly Jon sorted all of our attractions that we wanted to do along the way, so far we have only done 2 and they’ve been amazing and can’t wait for the rest. Jon also booked all of our greyhound buses for us as we was getting confused! Just couldn’t recommend enough he’s always just a text away and checking in with us to see if we need anything as well as giving us information and tips where to see wildlife etc. so pleased we booked through Jon , thank you so much

I recently stayed with Summer House Backpackers in Cairns - it was my first hostel experience and I can’t recommend them enough! I was a solo female traveller and could not have felt more comfortable staying here. Not only did they help me book excursions and activities in Cairns but also in Uluru which was my next destination. They made calls and reservations for me, giving incredible advice on what to (and not to) book! The team is so welcoming and friendly - there’s a real family vibe there. They’ll 100% be my first choice when booking accommodation for my future travels!

Id highly recommend booking with Summer travel. We didn’t have much of a plan but Dave from summer travel in Brisbane put together an plan and had everything booked in a matter of hours. He booked 4WD on Fraser Island, a Whitsunday boat tour, scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef, all of our accommodation and much more. The whole trip couldn’t have gone and there were no issues. Dave was so friendly and his experience was so helpful. Thank you Dave.

We absolutely loved Dave!! He’s so knowledgeable about the excursions/campervans/everything to do across Australia and New Zealand. Gave us the best advice for travel plans and excursions and what would suit us best. Was able to work with us within our budget. He answered all of our questions and was basically planned our entire road trip and gave us the best spots to see and things to do. So friendly and personable. Couldn’t recommend him more!!

Cannot recommend this travel company enough. They know their stuff and are happy to put in the work to find a tour that’s right for you whilst fitting into your budget. Having travelled and lived in many of the areas they offer tours, you get inside knowledge of what to expect to maximise your time travelling. So friendly and always on hand to give you great advice which saves hours trying to do it yourself without the costly prices.

Me and a friend booked our whole east coast Queensland trip from Noosa up to Cairns through Summer Travel. Included Fraser Island 4WD and camping, Whitsundays overnight sailing, Great Barrier Reef and lots more. Definitely the best experience of my life. I would highly recommend booking any trips with Summer travel! We had a great experience with Warren in the Summer house in Melbourne. He was so lovely to deal with and explained everything to us. He gave us ideas for different trips to do along the East coast we wouldn’t have thought of. He went above and beyond to make sure we got the trip we wanted! I've been in Summerhouse hostel for not even a week and I've been so looked after by Summer travel. Booked on to the Fitzroy island trip and it was something else. Jay organised it all and made sure we all knew our time for pick up and it all went so smoothly. Got to snorkel and explore the island would highly recommened. I just had the best day of my life! I booked a tour to Fitzroy Island with Summer Travel and it was a fantastic experience. I think the price is right for such a good day with my friends, and I also wanna congratulate the representative from the company Jay, he was in charge of the coordination pre-trip and during it, and everything was perfect.

I have been staying at Summerhouse Cairns for the past three weeks and have had nothing but great experiences with Travel agent Jay, he’s been so helpful in booking my tours out to the reef, as well as taking the hostel on tours to waterfalls and to the wake park, he even got me into some boxing classes which were lots of fun! I was very lucky to have Dave help me plan two trips and he is such a personable guy who is very flexible and makes planning a trip that would take me days to plan happen in like 30 minutes and feel like you are just talking I would highly recommend him and the summer house travel (I would keep him away from sliding glass doors though )

Two great days up in Cairns, the tours were perfect for our group covering the Daintree, Cape Tribulation and Great Barrier Reef. Recommended tours were all ran by passionate guides and level of knowledge and service through our tours were second to none - the guys listened exactly to what we wanted and delivered a perfect itinerary!

We booked to go to Fitzroy island with Jay. Definitely one of the best experiences of my life! Jay gave us some good recommendations about snorkelling and hiking at the island and we really enjoyed it! He was professional and attentive at all time, I would definitely book another trip with him and recommend it to friends!
