First surgery ever in my life and really hoping I never have to experience one again. The entire outpatient process was untimely and I understand everyone is understaffed so I’m not really complaining about it taking almost 3 hours to prepare for surgery which only happened a few minutes past my scheduled time, no biggie. What is really annoying me is that I have been out of surgery for almost 7-8 hours and had a patient added to my room who appears to be in more pain than I am, so much so that she had 3 visitors when the hospital instructions directed only 1. I had a moment I was annoyed on the phone with the food service workers and mentioned I was uncomfortable with my environment and 2 of the visitors caught the hint and left. Well 3-2 equals 1 and one male visitor who I thought would be here until visiting hours were over (9pm) is STILL here and I’m uncomfortable and cannot sleep with not one but two strangers in my room. The gowns barely cover my private areas, i put on pajama bottoms. I even sprayed melatonin bed spray and everything and CANNOT sleep. I’ll never opt for an outpatient surgery again! I’ll just take my chances. What kind of rules are these that people can choose not to follow them? Smells like privilege to me. Oh yea I paged for assistance with the restroom (because unknown male was in my room), some nurse came, not mine, and I asked if there was an alternate bathroom I could use, she’s replied, Why?. I mean could she have answered my question? Clearly lacking customer service and conflict resolution skills here and I hate to have to be the one to say it.

I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for the wonderful treatment and care I received when I had a hip resurfacing surgery in Orthopedic Surgery Center of Swedish Hospital in late September 2023. The level of care we received was truly outstanding and we are so appreciative. My surgeon, Dr. James Pritchett is a five-star doctor! Every member of the team including Nurse Danyell, Nurse Stacy, Nurse Leigh, and MA Shay were exceptional and very thorough in their hands-on treatment and outstanding in explaining what was happening, what they were doing, why they were doing it and, if appropriate, next steps ... Also, I have a special appreciation for Nurse Ty who is from England. After the surgery when it was time for me to leave the hospital, she put me into a wheelchair and delivered me to the entrance for taxi. It was after 8pm but taxi never showed up so she used her own Uber account to order an Uber ride for me to go back to my hotel! Without her warmhearted help I could have been in the cold, dark for a long time! Thank all of you again from the bottom of my heart! E. I.

My mother was admitted on the tenth floor at the Swedish hospital in Seattle this past week.  She was placed under isolation, and I felt staff neglected her because of that. If I wasn't with her, I know she would have ended up with bed sores and a serious rash for laying in her urine and feces for an extended amount of time. I would call for help but by the time the nurses would come, I had already changed her. The day before she was discharged, one of the night nurses yelled at me and made me cry because I was going out of the room to get cleaning supplies to clean my mother up. The night nurse accused me of not calling her for help, and she called me a liar. I felt that nurse was extremely rude and ungrateful. I will be to filing a complaint specifically on her. I also noticed my mother's room was not swept or cleaned the whole time we were there.

I was very unhappy with my service at Swedish. No one took me seriously. I had to wait a ridiculous amount of time. I felt like I was treated like an addict walking in off the street. To top it all off, I just received my crazy expensive bill. $2000 for me to be treated like I don't know what I'm talking about with my body and not taken seriously. For every large medical bill my children or I have received in the past, I have been given a discount when paid in full. Apparently, this isn't offered and I'm not only paying for myself, they are charging me for everyone else who walks in off the street and cannot pay their bills. 100% dissatisfied with my service.

The most important thing here is the medical staff. They are the most professional, knowledgeable, and helpful team of healthcare workers I’ve ever come across. They are experts that are driven to provide quality care. The facilities up to date and well maintained. Things to consider: parking is not free and you need to find the right staff member to get parking validated. Food service is, at times, somewhat better than most hospitals. The food itself isn’t terrible, but the prices for guests is way too high for what you get. Also, one staff workers argued with my spouse regarding their order, unacceptable.

Coming from an employee of Swedish Hospital - First Hill Campus, I’m proud to say that I still love my job. The campus itself is huge. Look how beautiful this hospital!!! I took this outside and the depth of the picture is very impressive! Being a healthcare provider is a huge privilege because you are the one who is actually helping out the patients who need both mental and physical help. Also, as a patient or client myself, I still love this hospital because we have the best customer service and all the healthcare providers are super friendly/helpful to each other. Love love love it

This the worst place to go if you have an emergency. Even my 1 stars this hospital doesn’t deserve it. I went there at 11:40pm until 4:19 am no doctors or even a nurse. Worst experience ever people here they don’t know what mean to help someone. I wish someone to recall or to do public form requests for this place to see how much founding the get from the Government and how they spend it and how many staff are there and how much they make.

Excellent Doctors and excellent care. However on the day of my appointment I arrived a few minutes early. I didn't know which way to go so I looked around and nobody was at the information booth. No security around. So I ended up wondering around and caught an elevator up to a floor that was empty or under construction . A nurse noticed me Wondering around lost and escorted me to my appointment .

Had a wonderful experience at Swedish hospital First Hill. Everything and everyone was just excellent. Outpatient surgery for hernia. This is 2023. Had heavy duty abdominal surgery back in 2010. Also amazing care back then. First rate. People exceptional.

Resident doctors are still learning and be careful with them. Dont agree with everything they say and please ask questions. Dont let residents do surgery or anesthesia. They lack experience and will hurt you
