Very impressed with customer experience and helpfulness of staff. Had a complicated situation and they managed to resolve it in a very timely and professional manner. Situation: I have multiple TD Webbroker/Waterhouse investment accounts that I do research and investing with. Moved from Ontario to Edmonton, but didn't update my phone number to match with the account(s), thus being locked out of the 2-step authentication as I couldn't retrieve the message/calls needed. Waterhouse said I needed to go to a TD Canada Trust branch to confirm my identity before they can do changes/updates. Complications were that I don't bank with TD Canada Trust, so I needed to submit all the paperwork and ID's. Afterwards, with the staff oversight from the branch, we updated Waterhouse to confirm everything was authenticated and requested update all contact information ASAP. Fast forward 1 week, still no updates from Waterhouse and still locked out with old contact information. Call Waterhouse again, to which they still needed me to do to confirm my identity before they can do changes/updates. This was super frustrating/annoying as both the staff and I did it personally and confirmed during that previous visit. Went back and the staff remembered my situation and escalated the changes/updates with Waterhouse in 10 minutes. Long Story Short: Need to confirm ID for Waterhouse at TD Branch, Waterhouse slow to update after completed, TD Branch staff very help in confirmation and escalating situation.
This is a great branch, the management, sales and teller staff always give amazing customer service. I am particularly impressed that they are able to give great service given the changes I have noticed TD has made with regard to staffing. I have noticed less tellers are being scheduled/hired. This creates long line ups which now rely on the management to have to act as a teller to move the line which sometimes slows the line because the manager also has to assist the tellers customer in the event of a problem or complicated transaction. I also noticed that the advisors who normally would only work out of their offices have to come up and act as tellers as well. I truly feel for the managers and the advisors because being a teller is not a job they signed up for. Everyone commends and praises frontline works such as grocery store clerks, janitors, and nurses and there is no doubt in my mind that they 100 percent deserve this. But banking staff deserves some recognition too considering the type of people they have to deal with and the annoyances with the public they have to face every single day.
It doesn't take much to post a bad review and complain. On the other hand, a good review happens after a monumental experience. I've been a customer with TD for 17 years now and I can say that this bank is truly about treating their customers as a valued asset. There have been a few exceptions at a different branch, but the manager has always been receptive and addressed the rare 'issue' which had more to do with the isolated incident than it had to do with a banking relationship I am extremely happy with. This review comes after a very positive experience in having my mortgage renewed, at a rate that communicates that I was valued as a customer. I'm not sure the people I dealt with would appreciate my referring to them by name, so I would like to compliment TD on the excellent staff they have at this branch, whether it was a financial advisor for my investment, a mortgage advisor or the teller I had the pleasure of dealing with for day to day banking. Once my monies were deposited by the financial advisor, my debit card was then alerted to ‘Fraud’, my card and online banking were temporarily disabled... how does that happen after a “financial advisor” deposits your money on your behalf? After I was aware that my debit card was disabled I went into the branch for help, only for a teller to shove a 1800 number in my face and refused to assist me - honestly fantastic customer service *insert eye roll* This branch does not care about their patrons all they care about is getting your money into their branch - seriously considering closing all accounts with this branch, they’re the worst - the namao branch is way better tenfold

TD at 50st 167ave really have the BEST mortgage rate (Really the best !!! ) and services, especially my 2nd mortgage application , as seller realtor told me no extension allow as there are few more people waiting for the appointment to see the house , and they only gave me about or less than 6 business days to get all done (Because Feb only have 28 days)! I moved from RBC to TD (this branch) 7 years ago, and until today , I still agreed TD have the best mortgage rate , can't be beat , and also the best service ! Especially your mortgage specialists and Boon !! THANKS!
This ⭐️ is for Boon Huat Cheok - senior personal banker at this location. I had meeting with him I wanted to make special exception rate request for my investment. He didn’t allow me to put at first and said, they will laugh on me. That was rude. Later on he did put x amount request which got approved next day. I wanted to put higher request than that. He didn’t allowed. He called me to tell that request was approved, i said to him See, you didn’t allow me to go higher then that, and this got approved easily. He said next time you can put whatever you want to request, I don’t care This was his response to me over the call. So rude. Being at senior position, first learn how to talk with a client.
Very rude tellers behind the counter. Came in on a Thursday evening (because they were open late) to deposit a check that I had received from my grandmother. Walked up to the teller - unfortunately did not catch her name. Told her I wanted to deposit this check. She looked at my account and told me there would be a full hold on the check. I was in shock as I have been banking with TD since I was 14 years old, and not once have they held a check from me if I deposit through the bank teller. She could not give me an explanation as to why there would be a full hold on a $300 check. I asked her to give the check back, and I took it to another branch where it was deposited with no hesitation.
I had appt today. Things I did not like: - Took more than 30min for being attended although I had appt. - I felt uncomfortable all the time since the gentleman talking to me was in a rush because... The next one was waiting! - I was told WAY TOO MANY TIMES "talk with your husband and then come back", when my visit was about MY SAVINGS ACCT. - Had to ask and ask and ask in order to get all the options. I felt like he was not interested in giving me all the information, just in a rush. Will not go back NEVER AGAIN, and will not recommend them for investing purposes.
Never had this worse experience with any other TD branch before. Supposed to get a call back from this branch( as told by Teller) in two weeks to pick up my visa statements but no one called. I called the branch and they said we will call back within couple hours after checking but no one called. I visited the branch after three weeks and they said "we don't have any such requests for Visa statements from you" .Being a Fort Mac Evacuee and needing the statements for insurance purpose, this type of service was not expected from TD at all. Very Disappointed.
TD Bank is a joke when it comes to account security. The threat prevention department is clueless with the threats they have. TD Bank account security is compromised and not safe. The branch has staff that they don't know their own product. Be aware of your own account TD will not help to keep your account secure their product is compromised even with the checks they have in place.
Only two tellers working with more than ten people waiting in the queue. Meanwhile, there was four employees standing by one of the offices talking and taking a group selfie. Here's an idea, how about some of you serve some of the customers? On coffee break? No problem, stagger your breaks instead of taking them all at the same time and leaving the customers waiting in line.
Sagina the manager is unparalleled in her customer service skills. Honestly never had a bank manager remotely care and work this hard for my cause. She's a gem in this branch and they should have her train other managers and staff . Outstanding service here. Went in for a loan 8 weeks ago and have not recieved a call back. Called twice, spoke with the representative for 3 seconds and then again spoke with management and I've yet to hear feedback regarding my application. Never again will I ask for anything from this bank. Had to call and make a complaint to head office before getting anywhere.
The tellers at TD are always helpful and friendly. They remember your name! Plus Ana (I think is one of the Managers) helped our business sort out a line credit that was stuck btwn the phone TD team and took it upon herself to make sure everything worked out. A great bank and I enjoy visiting each week to do our banking!!
Worse Experience I had with Bank, when Letter that take 10 munite to write, Fatima made me waiting whole day and at the of it, she told me that she can't have it till next week, I was super disappointed to the extend that I made decision to leave TD Bank and go to different bank that has better service
Avoid using their mobile service. It is not as useful as they would have you believe, and no one in the branches or that you can call has the authority to do anything with it. You'll be sitting there looking at a balance you have zero access to because their computers get the weekends off.
Very unimpressed with my service was told I would recieved a follow up call the afternoon of my appt and didn't . . . Called and left multiple messages (because no one ever answers the phone) asking for a response from a branch manager and a week later still nothing

Don't put your money there invest in another institution having a very bad experience with them i pay a monthly fee and when i needed help they gave a sorry cannot help you they want your money but the service is terrible stay away from this tdcanada trust

Does anyone actually work here? I stood in line for 10 mins while 2 tellers sat there doing absolutely nothing. Every time I come in it’s the same thing. 10 ppl in a line up with one teller actually helping people.

I am left speechless at the lack of customer service this Bank as an organization has. I used to have a mortgage with TD back in the day. I no longer have any assets with TD whatsoever. Horrible bank!
Have been going here on occasions when I actually need to be in branch since we moved to the area years ago. Nothing especially good or bad, I've just always had a decent experience.
Are they short on staff?? only 1 guy behind the computer and 10ppl in line up, stayed in line for 20min and no one is there. Very unprofessional location. Very bad.
