have a lot of experience with bike shops (see below) and SMMC and I've been very happy at SMMC. As a bicycle commuter I have had my share of accidents and managed to severely damage two bikes in the past year. SMMC repaired both bikes and also worked on my triathlon bike. I have also bought accessories and parts the last two years. They know bikes including high end bikes; they have a good selection and are willing to order items that they don't have for me. One can always buy less expensively on the Internet but you can't get your bike repaired remotely. If there is a problem it is difficult to get it resolved by email. I've been riding a bicycle in the Valley for more than 50 years and bicycle commuting for the last 15 years. I put more miles and spend more money on bicycle service and repairs than I spend on car. Over the last 15 years I've probably had over 300 encounters including sales, repairs, accessories bike apparel, seats, gloves, saddlebags, shoes, and just browsing in most shops in the West Valley and in many other areas of the City. Santa Monica Cyclery has been one of the best to follow-up on problems. For example, I bought a light that didn't charge right out of the box. I brought it back the next day and they called the sales rep right then and left a message even though it was after hours. They followed up and made sure it was taken care of. I didn't have to package something up and send it back I pass two other bike stores on my way there but they are my go to bike store now.

The guys to go to in the SFV. I've had three amazing experiences with them. First, I took in my bike on which I was having back pain. They gave me a free fitting and adjustment. After riding that steel chunk around for another few weeks, I decided to finally get a carbon bike They were super nice on the phone discussing the geometry of women's design bikes versus the regular bikes. (No more sloping top tubes, ladies). I went in and the friendly fest continued. I should note that I'm not your typical lean, mean roadie. (On the contrary). They took me seriously, gauged what I knew and had good conversations with me. After buying a Domane, they offered to sell the steel chunk on eBay and give me the proceeds in store credit. So, last week I went in and bought a dual sport hybrid for quick runs around town. I wanted something I could lock up and not worry about. They showed me serval choices and I settled on a DS 8.5. Both bikes were 2015 models and discounted. They gave the fitting for the DS to my spouse who has been having some neck pain on her Cannondale. Lots of bikes to choose from--mostly Trek but some Cervelo and Electra Townies. The SMMC club thing is awesome (spend $100 and get $10 to spend on your next visit). The gear and clothing selection is also great. Trust me when I say I've visited most bike shops in L.A. If you want a bike (and you do, really you do), SMMC is the place to go.

Ultimately, If you're a new rider and want some really awesome people to help you out and not feel pressured/rushed come to this place! Helens & iMartin doesn't come close to the support you get here. I'm very new to cycling at initially when shopping for bikes i had a co-worker recommend this place. Out of all the shops I've been to non of them come close to being as honest and genuinely patient as these guys. This review isn't based on dealing with one person either, everyone I've spoken with or asked questions too are friendly (David, Jordan, Mike & Michael etc...). I've bought all the accessories i needed from them! Even when i had fitment issues with the shoes i bought they were able to help me again get into a better pair, which i love! They have a get Rewards program too that keeps me coming back because they prices aren't over inflated so definitely sign up for that since it FREE to do so! As of July they still had the LABike coalition discount so if you have joined ask them about that. Finally: They do Retul bike fits! Which in reviewing i believe is the best way to get properly fitted on a bike since it those 3D motion capture to workout your dynamic movement rather than holding and awkward static pose or using just video to "eyeball" adjustments! I WILL DEFINITELY do in about a month! You should check them out!!!

I had a chain break while on a Sunday ride, right as the breaks were feeling a little soft too I felt I needed to get a fix asap. I tried a couple of places and they told me not to even come in for a couple of days as they were 'too backed up', but these guys (thankfully) told me to swing on by, took the bike in and I had it back fully fixed, cleaned and serviced the next day. It's well worth mentioning that they discovered an additional problem (due to normal use) with the brakes, and called me to inform of the options. They were to go ahead and get that fixed too at a small additional cost, or leave the brakes completely as they were which would actually be OK for now, but would need fixing not too far down the line. As I like to ride some pretty steep hills I opted to get them taken care of, but I really appreciated the fact they called and gave me the option of spending LESS money than the original quote - if only I can find a car mechanic that trust-worthy! I'm really happy with the level of service and assistance, and will most definitely be coming back here for my bike service needs - thanks, guys!!

My wife and I had already visited a couple of bike shops before checking out Trek Bicycle Woodland Hills. What really stood out to us besides the great quality of the bikes, was the staff and their outstanding level of professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to go the extra mile. Chad was very knowledgable and patiently and throughly answered all of our questions. He showed us quite a few bikes as we were buying two and really helped making the decision easier. Later and along with Roman, they helped us figure out the right size bikes for us, set them up, and with the help of the rest of the staff set up for the bikes to be delivered. The delivery process was very smooth and right on time. The staff at Trek Bicycle Woodland Hills really ROCK! Again, the quality of the bikes is outstanding, but the staff at this location are the main reason why we got the bikes. Very special thanks to Chad and Roman! We will happily recommend Trek Bicycle Woodland Hills to our friends and families. Keep up the great work!

I went in to this store location the same day/after I purchased my kids bikes at the Santa Clarita TREK location. Wow. The service at Woodland Hills was 200000 times better. What a difference! The service Ramon and the guys provided at Woodland Hills was nothing short of excellent. They were detailed, explained all my options, took the time to understand what I needed. They explained the trade up program for my children’s bikes (something Santa Clarita TREK- where I purchased the bikes from didn’t do). They answered all my question. I live in Santa Clarita and we have two TREK stores in town BUT I WILL NEVER RETURN THERE. Woodland Hills is my store of preference. Driving an extra 35 miles is nothing with service like that. I think Santa Clarita needs to pay a visit to Woodland Hills for training in proper customer service.

I brought my ebike in for a rear flat tire. This was the second time I brought it in for this exact problem. Ultimately the tube was replaced and the tire isn’t flat (for now). But when I picked up the bike I had a really bad customer service experience. Based on all the other glowing reviews, maybe I’m an outlier. I planned on writing a long detailed review all about my negative experience but I started thinking about my desired outcome to resolve the situation. I came to the conclusion that the only resolution I’d be happy with is to go to a different shop. All I can say is I am really unhappy with how I was treated in this shop, I won’t be back, and I’ll be telling anyone who will listen to go somewhere else. Thankfully this isn’t the only bike shop in town.

  • Bill J

This really is a great bike shop. Over the years I have serviced my bikes at many bike shops, and this is by far the best. I've done everything here, from shock rebuilds, to brakes and tune-ups and the turn around time is amazing. They try to do everything same day unless they need a special part. On top of the quality work, these guys are just cool and easy to talk to. I have referred multiple friends to this shop and always get incredible feed back. They are not the cheapest shop, but the pricing is fair and I won't trust my bike anywhere else. I also like that they are open until 8pm. Note: It is better to bring bikes in for service on weekdays, because during the weekends the service department is only able to do very light work.

Really, I can't say enough positive remarks about this place. From the start, my first experience with them this past March was fantastic. The owner, David Kooi was the one who greeted me and assisted me with getting 2 new E-bikes I purchased off my truck. I bought them from out of state and brought them there for assembly. Not only did they do a great job putting them together for a reasonable price, they have since made adjustments to them a couple of times at NO charge! I've also had interactions with other employees - Michael & Robert. Both of them have also been very helpful when I have been at the store. When I have bought accessories, they put them on the bikes on the spot. This shop and it's employees are AWESOME!

I'd been holding off getting my bike serviced until this shop reopened. I'm so glad I did. There was a creaking noise when I pedaled (which I recorded on my phone) that I couldn't fix. I watched Youtube videos. All of them pointed at the seatpost, the chainring, pedals or crank as the culprit. Bob identified the problem after hearing the recorded noise immediately. None of the above. The spokes needed to be tightened. He joked I was too heavy. Not only did he identify the problem, the Level 2 service was completed in under two hours. I was expecting to be without the bike for two days. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I'm glad they're back. Now that I've said all this, the place will be crowded the next time I go in.

I was looking for a new road bike. I am new to cycling and don't know much about the bikes themselves or the parts. It seems that trying to find a bike shop that had salesman who would actually talk to you and tell you more about the bikes was hard to find. I tried two other bikes shops before and got really basic answers about bikes. I wanted some detail, so I know what I'm buying and why. I walked into this place and immediately was helped by Bill. He told me everything that I needed to know. He explained everything about the bikes, what they were and how they were different from the others. That is exactly what I needed. Needless to say I bought the bike. I love the bike, couldn't be happier.

  • Robert Madaus

I needed to replace a der. hanger. The staff was very friendly and great service. They found the hanger very quickly and put it on order. I got the call to go pick it up quicker than i expected. The shop was very impressive. They stocked bikes of all flavors. The store was also stocked very well with a huge range of bike stuff to cover any type of riding you may like. Overall; a very pleasant experience. I left my resume as i would like to be part of a shop like this. Very comfortable and inviting atmosphere and staff. They have a comfy couch with a big tv that plays bike videos and good music. I enjoyed my visits any time i have walked through the door. I will be returning, without a doubt.

  • Eric Sartin

I'm not sure what other reviewers were expecting but the service I received at SMMC was incredible. You get what you pay for and if you are looking for cheap stuff, there are plenty of other bike shops around that will give you deals but will treat you accordingly. SMMC has competitive prices and a great selection. This is a true local bike shop environment. How does the saying go? The frustration of bad quality and poor service will remain long after the thrill of a good deal wears off. And if you are looking for high end, this is the only local shop I will trust with my high end bikes. I am as picky as they come and I know that SMMC will deliver on my expectation of excellence every time!

  • Ricardo Motobahn

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. They exceeded my expectations! I took my daughters' bike in for a derailer adjustment. These guys are used to working on higher end bikes, but there was no attitude or snootiness. Lance, the manager, was very informative, down to Earth, and friendly. He recognized that I didn't want to dump a bunch of money in this bike and really kept the cost down. Fernando was the mechanic. He obviously knows his stuff because the bike shifts as good as new, and he even adjusted the brake at no extra charge. I didn't know it needed anything. Bottom line - What a great experience!! I was extremely pleased and would recommend this shop. I will definitely be back!

  • Danielle KnudsonGoodwin

David and his team are great! I bought a bike for my son on Craig's list and brought it to the store for an honest assessment. I wasn't belittled for not buying from them. In fact they told me that I had gotten a great bike at a great deal and then assessed the bike to see what was needed to head off to school with my son. The assessment was thorough and fair. I was given a list of what I should do now and what could really wait. Very transparent and again, really fair. I really trust these guys! And, they offer college student discounts so when my son comes home we will return to them for all tune-ups. I highly recommend this store.

I am writing this review to “call out” Garth at Trek Woodland Hills for his exceptional bike knowledge and outstanding customer service. I recently purchased a Trek bike and had numerous questions as it was my first bike purchase in many years. Garth was very patient and took me through the entire bike in a very patient and methodical manner. Based upon Garth’s personal service, I will tell my friends/other family members about this establishment and make sure I purchase all of my family bikes, supplies and accessories from Trek Woodland Hills going forward. Garth should be regarded as a superior member of this establishment.

  • David Bluestein

Just discovered this little gem in the valley. Was a patron of Helen's cycles for a long time, but decided to look for a closer shop. The staff there couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. Bob was a great mechanic and was incredibly helpful. Bill spent a good deal of time with me discussing appropriate bikes and frames. After I purchased a Trek somewhere else (got a great deal on a closeout and SMMC was unable to get it), I brought it to SMMC for a repair and to purchase additional equipment. Love this place. The staff was top notch. Will continue to shop here!!!

  • Demetrius Thomas

I love my Jamis Allegro 2! And it's all thanks to Dave and his awesome staff at SMMC. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. These guys really love what they do. Dave knew what questions to ask to help find the perfect bike. The recommended bikes were based on my needs and my budget; and after a couple of really fun test rides I chose the Jamis Allegro 2. The quality of the product and the customer service are superior to any previous bike shops I've visited. SMMC is my bike shop and I recommend that it becomes yours if you are looking for the best.

  • David Solomon

As a beginner cyclist I found the staff at SMMC amazingly helpful. They were both knowledgeable and friendly while I was bike shopping. They helped me pick out a bike in my budget without any high pressure sales techniques. I plan on returning to this shop for all my cycling needs and am planning to return with my girlfriend to buy a bike for her. In comparison to other businesses SMMC gets 5 stars, however, I do feel that their phone support could be improved. The few times I've called into the shop the person answering seems distracted or not engaged.

  • Mark grossman

I was fortunate enough to receive a gift certificate to the shop, so stopped by and was very impressed by the shop. Immediately asked if I needed help, pointed in the right direction and any questions answered. After that, brought something in for repair and they turned it around in a day, as promised. Nice looking shop, coffee if you want it and very friendly workers. I will be back. Mark update...they continue to impress. They always seem to have the little parts I need, took care of a warranty issue without flinching and very convenient parking.

  • Robert Riley

I went to SMMC after buying a bike at another store and returning it because the gears didn't work properly, and the staff at the store either was unable to help me or just didn't give a damn. I got to SMMC a half hour before closing time and Jordan took all the time we needed to select the right bike, and he made sure I understood how the gears worked and that I was a satisfied customer. Came out to the parking lot (unasked) to help me get the bike in the back of my Cooper Mini. A great bunch of people, good selection, I recommend it.

  • Charles Winning

I started riding again after a 30 year hiatus and while I bought a used Trek, I had the guys at Trek Woodland Hills outfit me. From cleaning, to fitting, to accessorizing, Logan and Marvin had me up and running. I can’t emphasize enough how helpful and incredibly knowledgeable they were and are. With our online world it’s easy to forget the value of establishing a relationship with a local retailer/dealer. Please don’t make the mistake of trying to do everything yourself when you have real pros just down the street.

  • Billy Hulting

What I like most is the personal service that I can fully trust. I've been a loyal customer for years because David and the team have really gone out of their way to take care of me. They really care about bikes and their customers. I recommend them all the time and will continue to do so. The other day I was there and saw a new version of the exact mountain bike I have. It was so pretty and clean and shiny. Then I realized it was mine that I had come to pick up from it's servicing! :- )Thank you for everything!

  • Ian Brody Hutzler

I had a great experience at this shop. I spent time talking with Rodrigo about purchasing a new bike. He was awesome! He was patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. The other associates working there were all really great as well. Super impressed by everyone and the "vibe" in the shop. I was able to order a bike and can't wait for it to arrive. PS, this isn't my neighborhood shop. I traveled more than 20 minutes just based on the phone conversation I had with Rodrigo. I will recommend them to everyone.

  • Derek Castellano

I was looking for my first real bike purchase. The folks at SMMC took the time to discuss options and get a good understanding of my needs. After shopping around at other shops, I was convinced that I wanted to start a relationship with the team at SMMC. I ended up with a Trek 4.5c which has been great. Note also: While in store, I observed the pro's work with all levels of riders, from the very young, to the very experienced - They are super attentive, and make everyone feel at home. Great work!

  • Jeff Barlam

Dave and the rest of the crew at Santa Monica Mountains Cyclery were amazing! They were incredibly knowledgeable & friendly and helped me pick out my first road bike. Dave helped me determine the right bike for what I was interested in doing with it and the budget I felt comfortable with ... I couldn't have asked for a better recommendation. I really enjoy my bike (a Trek 1.1) and the exceptional service that I got at SMMC! I will definitely be coming back ... Thanks again!

  • S S

World Class Bike/Cycle Shop. Outstanding attention to detail for the bicycle rider. Thank you Dave for the bike fit. Another Thank you to Bill who was outstanding and provided some of the best customer service! What a great experience I had at Santa Monica Mountains Cycle. I highly recommend this store. The prices are competitive and the Staff is 1st class. Thank you for answering my questions. You guys are truly #1. I am ready to ride !!! All the best, Scott

  • David Phillips

Trek bicycle has always been a great spot. Honestly they have been the only bike service I've used with my most recent bike and I can't be happier. Oliver was a great dude and got me taken care of in a jif. Not only did I show up an hour early but from what I believe I overheard was he even postponed his lunch to take care of my bike sooner than expected. I will definitely be back again and will recommend the Trek Bicycle on Ventura Boulevard to everyone.

  • Chris Buchinsky

Horrible bike shop. The worst. They’ve closed down the shop because it’s filled with asbestos. So if you want Mesothelioma and lung cancer. Step right in and fill your lungs before you ride. They loaded used bearings into my bottom bracket. I’ve been back 4 times and it’s just a Schwinn. Go to Wheel World down the street. They’ve been there 40 yrs. And they know bikes. They supplied The U. S. Olympic team with their bikes. Nicer shop.

  • Chuck Rogers

I purchased my first adult bicycle at this store. Chad was super polite and he helped me every step of the way during my visit here. My budget was tight and I had to skip some things that I probably should have bought, but I'm looking forward to returning to this location for all of my Trek bicycle needs. Be sure to call the bike shops to check for availability. Everybody is running out of bicycles because of the pandemic.

  • Raul Calderon

This is easily the best trek shop I have been to. Ivan Harms the store manager was awesome! His honesty, knowledge and communication is second to none. The mechanics also emailed me with updates, options, and as soon as the job was done which normally I would have to call and figure out on my own. There are two maybe three trek shops closer to my home but I will happily make the drive for the service. Thank you!!!!

  • Farnaz Yaghmaie

I've been to the other bike shops in my neighborhood and SMM cyclery is the shop I feel most welcome. I've been there only a handful of times and each time I'm tempted to buy something... a beautiful Trek road or other bike accessories. Mostly I'm grateful for the friendliness of their staff. They're cool people in there! Shout out to Jordan who helped me in buying Lezyne LED lights. I'm so glad I have them!

  • Bill Ward

Excellet bike shop! I went out for a ride and discovered I had a flat. The great team at SMMC had me on the road in minutes. The staff knows just about everything about bikes and bike gear and they are very helpful. The latch on my helmet broke. I tried contacting the manufacturer in Europe to get a replacement, but got nowhere. SMCC contacted their local rep and withion a few days I had my helmet fixed!

  • Bruce Newman

I received great advice from Bill about refitting two older, but terrific bikes which needed to be tweeked for my aging and aching back. I was prepared to spend significantly to go all-new. Bill suggested that before I spend a bundle, why not do a mild refit for now and see if the back thing heals. You can always buy new stuff. How's that for service? that's why this is my shop-of-choice. Nooms Tarzana

  • Joshua Lesser

SMMC is a great local shop with a really attentive bikers/staff. I enjoy stopping in and talking to the team or just picking up some food for a long ride. They have great sales and top quality parts and accessories. Not to mention great kits for roadies. I love my Dino kit and always get great comments in it. Thanks for all the help service and support, keep up the great work guys.

  • Victoria Cusato

Amazing experience for us at SMMC! We are new to bike riding but felt very comfortable at this shop. We did not feel we were oversold because we are novices. We explained what we wanted the bikes for and feel we got the best deal and tons of respect and answers to our questions! Also- they have dogs at the store! Total plus! :) Will definitely go back here for all our biking needs.

  • Heather Binns

The SMMC staff is very friendly and they have a wide selection of bikes and bike gear in their store. David Kooi, the owner of SMMC, performed my Retul bike fit. This was the best bike fitting I have ever had (out of many); it was so detailed and worked really well. I plan on seeing David again soon so he can put a new seat on my bike according to the Retul fit that he did for me.

  • Laura Conley

This shop is great! All the employees there are super friendly and helpful. They have great merchandise, but more importantly, so much knowledge to share!! I send all my new riding friends there to get bikes and have confidence they will leave with the perfect bike and apparel for their sport! If you have some extra time, be sure to check out the shop rides too; WAY fun! :)

  • Patrick D'Arcy

Friendly modern bike shop with a tremendous selection of bicycles from the youngest cyclist to the most advanced pro, both road and mountain. They also stock everything to keep your bike, and you, moving; from chain lube & nutrition to cycling kits & transportation racks for your car. You can even enjoy a cup of coffee while you wait for your newest puncture to be repaired!

  • Oleg Shalygin

I've been coming here ever since I got a new job in woodland hills. There's a reason why they have nearly all 5 star reviews. The service is flat out outstanding. Can't count the number of times these guys got me back on the road and rolling. From destroyed rear wheels to building wheel sets to just the basics, these guys do it right. Will be coming here for years to come!

  • Shawn Quinlivan, CHT

Bob Woodham spent a lot of time and was very professional in finding the appropriate bike for me. No oversell or hyperbole, just great information and attention to my dialogue about what I wanted from a new bike. I felt very confident spending my money at SMM Cyclery and I know they will take care of my needs moving forward. I highly recommend this bike shop!!

  • Dave Creek

I've only been here a few times, but it's always been thee most squared away bike shop I've ever been to. Super friendly, knowledgable, and helpful owner and staff who will always treat you well. It's honestly a one stop shop for anything you need for cycling. I happily go out of my way to support this shop rather than stay more local to me. Thank you, SMMC!!

  • Marcy Cameron

My Moms in Motion leader recommended Santa Monica Mountains Cyclery and I was not disappointed. Took an older mountain bike there and they made sure it was in top condition to ride again. All the guys are friendly and knowledgeable no matter what your level of biking is. They also provided my husband and I with information on bike racks. Great store!

  • Andrew Hrncir

It has taken over 4 weeks to get a part for my bike and they won’t offer tracking for it. I have tried to call the shop and goes to voicemail every time. I have already paid for the parts and haven’t got a response this is weird and I just wanna ride my bike. I would have taken it to a different shop that actually wud have done real service.

  • Riley Dugan

There's a reason why this place has raving reviews. These guys know their stuff. I just purchased a Dual Sport 2, and the entire process was so smooth. The Associates at the store helped answer all my questions and made sure I had everything I needed. They even threw in a free water bottle. Highly recommend checking this place out!

  • Ron Alden

The staff was extremely helpful and really knew what they were talking about. I am fairly new to cycling, and they answered all of the little questions I had without hesitation. I really felt like they were happy to answer my questions. Really great shop and I will continue to make them my go to shop for all of my cycling needs.

  • Jose Delgado

Visited the place for the first time hoping I would find what I've been looking for which I did! Alana attended me right away when I walked in she was great! and her coworker who was fixing some bikes when there was some system issues helped her out right away great service! thank you will be back if I ever need something else!

  • Daniel Forer

My wife and I just got back in the saddle after not peddling for five years. We need to have our bike "tuned up" and SMMC did an incredible job for a reasonable price. The shop was also helpful in upgrading our rides with some new gear that didn't exist a few years back. In short, the service was kind and totally professional.

  • scubaprousa

SMMC is my LBS even though its a drive for me across the Valley... But they are worth the drive. Friends have been telling me about the store. Came there to buy just a tire & came out smiling. Their staff is great and gave me an education in tire selection that was worth the drive. They are now my local bike shop of choice!!!

  • Jon Lutz

Decided I needed a new bike and went shopping. Every other place I went to either tried to sell me what they wanted or what they thought I needed. After 70 plus years of hard riding I knew exactly what I wanted. At Santa Monica Cyclery, they put together what I wanted and after 12,000 miles it's still exactly what I wanted.

  • Aldrin Macaraig

Those guys from Trek Woodland Hills knows what they're doing , they'll give you pros and cons , cheap and expensive ones and talking to them is something like you're talking to someone that you knows for a long time especially to Vince and Logan very helpful. I highly recommend this bike store. And I'll be back for more.

  • Joe D.

First most of this rating is because they solicited a review via email with a starbucks card as a reward for a review. As a business owner myself I find solicited rewarded reviews don't tend to be honest. That being said, it's a fine shop with friendly staff. This is a shop that seems to only have the higher end stuff.

  • Stephen Wolfman

A fantastic local bike shop. Excellent staff that are always enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and willing to offer good and honest advice. Well stocked with quality gear and they'll make sure you'll get the right thing that you're looking for. First choice to go and get anything I need or want for when I'm on my bike.

  • Jade Kilpatrick

I flew from OH to CA. Shipped my bike a week in advance and then I put it together and was missing a part. I called these guys Saturday night at 5:52 crying that my race was Sunday and I’m missing a part. The store manager stayed behind and gave me the part I am forever thankful. Wonderful place and people! …

  • Ken Lemler

The guy who helped me out was awesome. I had my bike serviced and needed a bike rack for my new car to get it home. He spent time making sure I got the right one. He then assembled the rack and put it on my car for me. Wow, that’s customer service. I will 100% be back and will 100% recommend this place to friends.

  • Danny Zhou

Courteous & knowledgeable staff. Well kept & well stocked shop with all your general cycling needs taken care of. I've shopped here several times and they never disappoint. If they don't have it, they will research it and order it for you. Next for me at this shop is a full computerized Retul bike fit... :)

  • Luis Diaz

Great customer service! I work in the retail business, and this by far has been one of the best customer service experiences I have ever received. The people that work here are very knowledgeable about their products and always encouraged to help you out in any way they can. Thank you for everything guys.

  • Wade Hickok

This place is great. I came in with a busted chain that shortened my weekend ride. The crew there was attentive and knowledgeable. Assessed the problem, they set me up with a new chain, installed it, calibrated it, corrected a few more things and I was back on the trail within the hour. Highly recommend!

Took the bike in for a flat tire. Staff were super friendly to my kid as we waited. Having that little game of "Find 10 cows and win a prize" is a stellar way to keep the kiddo from being bored. The team is always helpful. When the kid gets bigger, we'll make our upgrade with TREK 100%. Thanks guys!

Great shop. Great people. There's no comparison between SMMC and other bike shops. Everyone there is knowledgeable and super nice. They've helped my family keep a couple older bikes rolling and we've purchased 3 bikes from them, too. It's rare these days to find an independent "community" bike shop.

I needed a new front tire for my bike. Santa Monica Mountains Cyclery helped me quickly pick out the right tire for my needs, put the tire on my rim quickly, and I was out of there in a matter of moments all for a great price. I will definitely be back to change out my back tire soon.

  • Angelica Garrett

Purchased a great cycling bike and amazing accessories at a great cost. Everyone at this facility was so easy to work with. They really take pride in working as a team. All team members would bounce recommendations off each-other and made the process seamless for me. A big thank you.

  • Pamela Steinberg

The sales people and mechanics really know their stuff. Although the bike selection is limited to about 6 or 7 brands, these brands are top notch and cover any type of riding. I bought a Trek Crockett cyclocross bike, which for the price probably can't be beat by any other brands.

Went in on a Sunday with my 3 1/2 year old. Even though store employee was busy assembling a bike, he didn’t let me wait more than a couple of minutes. I was out of there in 10 minutes with exactly what I wanted and needed. Price was fair and was posted on the bike. Will be back!

  • Glenn Sanders

Been going here for years and can't say enough about their staff, service, selection, prices, and store. Every experience I've had, I leave with a good feeling. The latest: a tire repair completed in 30 minutes before closing and socially distanced interaction outside the store.
