Our visit to this Museum was the highlight of me and my GF's visit to New Orleans. Al was so friendly and so knowledgeable he not only put me on to so much new information in the museum he also got me to research so much new information. Absolutely fascinating. I was lucky enough to be there with two gentlemen from Amsterdam who knew more about jazz/music and therefore had more follow-up questions. The tour will teach you a lot, but follow-up questions are where it's at. You can learn so much that it starts to wash over you like waves. I would go back every time.

The importance of this museum cannot be over estimated. It is keeping the history of New Orleans music from being lost. It is helping revive not only the history of Treme, but the Treme itself. Every time my husband and I visit this Petit Museum and spend time with Al Jackson we feel privileged and grateful.
