I wish I could give all stars for the wonderful woman who once helped me at this location. I think she went by "kiki" or "koko" she was so pleasant and patient. I wish there were some way I could give her more recognition because not everyone who walks into an ULTA is a pro MUA. She was AMAZING! I was so blown away by her customer service. Which brings me to my next point and reason for only 3 stars. I went in today in hopes to run into the same wonderful young lady who helped me last time, who made me not feel bad for not being a "pro MUA" Sadly she was not there, & I ended up asking two different associates for help in finding a product. The first one was just basically showing me all the products for every brand. Not taking any time to ask me anything specific about what I'm looking for or what could work for me. She just seemed rushed although the store was pretty empty. Like I could walk to each brand on my own? I just need a little help & guidance from someone I'm assuming has knowledge about makeup etc. So I browsed around on my own without any help and then decided to ask a second associate for an opinion on the products I decided to pick up. She did not even greet me. I said excuse me, all she said was "yeah" wasn't even bothered to look my way. I was trying to get her to look at the products I had for her opinion but she was not at all interested in taking the time to help me. The girl at the register was more kind and professional then the two on the floor supposedly "assisting" customers. All in all the store is clean and stocked and "kiki"/"koko" the young Asian lady who helped me last time made that shopping experience wonderful for me, that I was excited to go back. So for the two missing starts it's due to the two from today. I walked out the store really regretful and felt a little taunted like I should already know about makeup before stepping in there. There was no attentiveness to help or even try to make me feel welcome there. I know it seems like a rant, but I usually don't leave reviews but it was really that bad. The complete opposite experience I had the last time I went there. Please be kind, not everyone who goes to a makeup store is a MUA.

I had a very transparent phone conversation with an Ulta Salon employee about their services, fees, and expectations. For an upcoming event I wanted a vintage wave, and after further conversation we decided that I would go into the salon with clean dry hair (I would wash and dry my own hair) and Ulta would only responsible for styling. I emphasized that I had frizzy hair, and the employee reassured me that it was not a problem. They would use a hot tool to smooth out the frizz and add product. During our conversation I also added that I had two small clip in extensions that I would like to put in my hair for volume, and I was told that it was perfectly fine. So at the end of our call, I made an appointment for the following, Ulta would style my hair in a vintage wave, I would have my hair clean and dry with my two clip in extensions in already, and the fee was going to be their styling fee, which is $30. I would get an additional 20% off because I was a first time salon customer. When I showed up to my appointment, after being sat, I inquired about the fee and style again just to confirm, and was told that the fee was going to be $75 and not $30. I spoke with the manager at the time because I wanted to let her know what was communicated to me over the phone and because it's important that they properly train all employees on providing accurate information. But the entire thing was an absolute waste of my time. It's not that I can't pay $75, it was that I was very clear of what I wanted and was quoted $30 by an employee. At the end of it all, I had to rush home and style my own hair, and it still turned out great. But I will never return to the Ulta Salon. They didn't even attempt to make it right, all they could say is that I would get the additional 20% of the $75 because I was a new salon customer. No thanks!

I don't know anything about make up or much about skin care. I just kind of do the bare minimum. I had an event coming up and I was pretty insecure about it. Natalie helped me find my color and make up that would sit well on my face. I have combination skin and make up just looks cakey and fake. She showed me with very little product how to take away the redness and not look like a Simpson character. She really listened to my concerns and what i wanted. When I have to go back to get some skin care items I'm making sure Natalie is there. She deserves a raise. Thanks Natalie!

I went in to purchase a few things. I went to check out and the cashier kept asking for my name and number. I politely declined and just wanted to purchase the few items. She would not stop insisting I give her my name or initials along with my phone number. I declined 5 times! She kept saying it’s just for points and I kept saying “no, I’m good.” She would not just ring me up. I finally had to walk out without purchasing anything. It was insane… I honestly cannot believe I couldn’t just purchase my items without giving my personal information.

I just left the store. I went up to Jessica and asked for some help with shade matching for a concealer. Her customer service was absolutely INCREDIBLE. She took her time, recommended brands, even recommended a brow a waxing service and got me in last minute which I loved ( definitely recommend Rene she is talented). Jessica’s customer service is absolutely one of a kind and blew me away. I hope that some good comes of this review and Jessica received some sort of raise of compensation. Ulta is more than lucky to have her!

I’ve been here a few times over the last few years and each time I’m reminded why I don’t shop in store. I was ignored several times despite trying to get help and once I finally got someone to help me (everyone else just walked away or suddenly had something else to do), it felt like an inconvenience for them to help me. I didn’t even ask questions because it felt like they didn’t care anyways. I’ll just switch back to online shopping to spare them the effort. Beauty for everyone! Not!

I'm a "fish out of water" in this store. I have a tween & she has expressed interest in makeup (which I'm NOT familiar with at all). She wanted/needed concealer & her father took her there to have an associate help pick the right one for her skin. They were VERY helpful & she was happy. They seem to have a decent selection & decent prices (especially when they have sale offers).

I love Ulta. I love just looking around at all the make up and hair supplies. They have such of a variety of everything. The only thing is towards the end the employees kept following me like I was going to steal something and it's such a turn off I just put my stuff down I was going to purchase and walked out. If it wasn't for that everything would have been great.

The manager herself helped us from the time we walked in the store to the time we checked out. This itself shows that she is personable, humble, and genuine. For that matter, all of the beauty advisors there were like that in my experience today. Got myself a membership too since I definitely see myself returning here more often.

And l love their make up and benefit brow bar and their LANCOME Paris counter,the eye cream is fantastic and to be Teint Idole ultra wear is awesome,and love love Clinique moisture surge,,good service with the girls and a excellent service from MS. This ulta is very low quality & the employees are rude. It’s very hard to get help & the employees refuse to give the freebies or birthday gifts out. They act like it’s coming out of their check even though you present the email to them. I’ve had multiple issues with this store. It’s definitely gone downhill.

Wasn't greated like I was at Sephora(today) and wasn't helped or even asked if I needed helped..also my bday gift wasn't available to get, said they had none available at all at that location(Centennial) . Offered a very cheap sheet face mask (I declined). Never gotten this type of service before, ever!

If I could give more stars I would! Went in tonight and was helped by three people and all of them went above and beyond to help me, they all had great attitudes, and gave helpful advice/info. Amazing staff! Plus the store was well stocked and super clean. 1000% recommend this location!

You'd think because of how inclusive every store has gotten this one would as well but no. They definitely profile you and are a lot less helpful if you aren't in your nicest clothes--even AFTER you purchase with them. I don't think I'll be returning to this location.

Had a fabulous experience at the CH Montecito location. The manager was very attentive, helped match my foundation in a price range I liked. The cashier was super positive and kind. My experience was fabulous. Definitely recommend this brick and morter store!

Way way too expensive. Found the same lotion at Ross the next day for half the price. However, the customer service was excellent. One of the stylist gave my daughter a fresh ponytail simply because she had no clients at the moment.
