Great cozy little bookstore with all sorts of easily categorized, queer literature. And Kaitlyn (the owner) is really good at giving one-on-one customer attention to offer personalized suggestions; the rest of the staff are similarly very friendly and helpful. A must-stop for anyone looking to get connected to queer literature.

This little bookstore makes my heart so happy. We hit this bookstore specifically in search of queer books but found so much more! They have coffee mugs, stickers, apparel, and so many other things. I'm definitely planning on supporting them through their patron program and heading back again when I'm in town. ️‍ …

My favorite bookstore and overall space in Utah and SLC by far. Very extensive selection of all sorts of queer books and art and locally made wares! Super chill and inclusive community gathering hub that is so dearly needed in Utah. I hope this place is a pillar of the community for many many years to come ♥️.

I cannot recommend this bookstore and community hub highly enough. Though I’m no longer local, I still keep up with them on the web and recommend them to all of my SLC pals :) an accessible, COVID-safe space that welcomes queer people of all ages and experiences. Support your local queer indie bookstore!

How is Salt Lake City so lucky to get an all queer bookstore!? All the books are either by LGBTQIA+ authors or have queer rep. Even all the stickers, pins etc. they carry are from queer owned companies, some even local. If you're looking for a beautiful graphic novel ask for The Magic Fish!

sooo many great products and resources here! i have spent hours browsing all they have to offer and even though i live too far away to enjoy them, i love how many events and activities go on here. the staff and volunteers are incredible as well. best book store around!!

  • Kydee Barbee

100% the best bookstore in the salt lake area. I find so many great books to read, along with art from local queer artists. They also host a bunch of great events and meetups throughout the year, and you know the money you spend there is going to a good cause

  • Alan D. Dalul

A huge selección of books with booksmarks to know what kind of identity/is are included, even some free books!! The staff is friendly, the place is beautiful, the vibe is wonderful, and they're always hosting events of all kinds! What's not to love?

I finally got a chance to browse, and then enjoy a delicious Chai in the cafe with a friend. I am floored by the amazing, beautifully curated selections of intersectional, queer, books. Along with thoughtfully sourced "queer flair." All of

Just the sheer existence of this place makes me happy. In Utah no less! Everyone is friendly and inviting. They do regular activities and social events. The level of inclusivity of all books and art is inspiring in it's own right. I highly

Under the Umbrella is part of my coming out story. It’s the first place I felt safe enough to ask if I could go by pronouns other than she/her. It’s where I bought my first she/they and then they/them pin. It’s where I bought I book about

In the small amount of time that it's been around, this shop has quickly become integral to the slc queer community. The people who run it are awesome and genuinely care about making it a safe community space. In a lot of ways, it almost

I love this store, I genuinely think it’s wonderful, but every time I go in I feel so incredibly judged by staff. I’m a cis-passing trans man, and I do have more of a country sense of fashion so I can understand if the employees think Im

Under the Umbrella is a great local book store with a lot of variety from adult nonfiction to middle grade fiction to picture books! They do a great job marking with bookmarks the representation in the book (ace, bi, lesbian, gay, etc).

This bookstore fills a hole in Salt Lake City as a queer community center. Our pride center does not have the greatest reputation so I am very glad that a place like this exists to fill the gap. The owner is someone who seems like they

I want to preface this by saying that I have spent a few hundred dollars here (both on books and the local artists that occasionally set up booths at UTU) as well as donating a few thousand masks for them to give out.
