I am absolutely delighted to write this review, as it gives me the opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to Manager Lori at the San Jose Distribution Center on 1750 Lundy Ave. She is a true gem, and her exceptional qualities have left a lasting impression on me. After experiencing a nightmarish situation with a lost package on its way from San Jose to Los Gatos, I was feeling frustrated and disheartened. The manager at the Los Gatos USPS offered no assistance and left me feeling helpless. However, when I reached out to Lori at the San Jose Distribution Center, my perspective completely changed. From the very beginning, Lori displayed a level of passion, thoughtfulness, and sincerity that was both refreshing and heartwarming. She took the time to listen to my concerns and empathized with my frustration. Lori went above and beyond to help me in every possible way. Not only did she personally investigate the situation by checking for my package, but she also mobilized her team to conduct thorough searches. Despite their best efforts, my package was never found. Nevertheless, Lori's dedication to helping me and her unwavering support made all the difference during this challenging time. In addition to her exceptional customer service, I also had the opportunity to witness Lori in action as she managed her employees during a busy period at the office. Her leadership skills and ability to work efficiently with her team were truly inspiring. In summary, I cannot thank Lori enough for her kindness, dedication, and genuine care. She turned what could have been an extremely stressful experience into one filled with hope and assurance. I firmly believe that Lori's passion and sincere approach make her an invaluable asset to the San Jose Distribution Center. Her outstanding qualities and unwavering commitment to her customers and team make her truly amazing. It is my sincerest hope that her efforts and exceptional work ethic are recognized and appreciated. Thank you, Lori, for your outstanding service!

Passports: Get there early. Waaay early. This location accepts walk-ins for passports, but they only process a limited number per day. The line begins forming hours before they open, so be prepared. After reading over reviews, I planned ahead and arrived around 5:45AM on a Saturday. I was 40th in line, and the line grew longer and longer behind me. Although the official hours for Saturdays begins at 10AM, the staff began handing out tickets around 8:45AM during my trip to inform us who made the cut off and who would need to try again later. This was done as a one-off courtesy, and you shouldn't expect this level of service during every visit. The cut off happened slightly after me, which leads me to believe they were accepting roughly 50 people. This may be different depending on the day you visit, the number of staff available, etc. Once I was assigned my ticket and number in line, I was free to leave and come back before my number was called. It was made clear that if you leave and you aren't back when your number is called, you will forfeit your spot for the day. When it was my turn, the staff was extremely knowledgable, helpful, and fast at processing these requests. I have to say that although the overall experience was rather poor (with the long lines), the staff were exceptional. They were doing the best they can with the resources they have. My takeaways: 1) Arrive early. If you want to make sure you get a spot, be there at or before 5AM. 2) Bring a chair, a blanket, and dress warm. I made the mistake of not doing so. 3) Bring a buddy to hold your place in line as there are no restrooms. The closest option is a Starbucks which is a short walk away. This is true even once you're inside, no public restroom access. 4) Prepare for the experience. It's going to be chaotic, but if you go in with that understanding you'll come out alive. Overall, I rate this experience a 4/5, largely because of the excellent staff. You're going to get out of it what you put into it.

Dear Director, I need some information about post office express delivery. Because I know that the information of the post office express is different. The well-known reason is that China is currently experiencing a major outbreak of the new crown virus, hospitals cannot enter, and antipyretics cannot be bought in the market. Two of my relatives in Shanghai turned to me and asked me to send them some Tylenol and ibuprofen because they and their family members had a fever of 104F. I bought a bottle of Tylenol and two packs of ibuprofen at Costco. I went to the post office to mail, and a strange thing happened. First, a staff member told me that the medicine cannot be sent to the mainland, and your customs will return it. You have to send it to Fedex or UPS, and they can send it. She said my supervisor asked me not to send it or return it without a refund. I said that as far as I know a small amount of medicine will not be a problem, she saw that I insisted on sending it, and said that you can go to the next window to get it.When I turned around to fill out the form, the staff at the next window came to me and said that you cannot send it. I asked her why, and she said that the staff just asked her not to accept the order. I said which of your rules and regulations says that it cannot be sent, but she just said that the staff just asked. May I ask why fedex and ups can be sent to China, why not the post office? And the staff kept telling me about your customs, is she discriminating against me or belittling me? I have lived in the US for over 30 years and am a US citizen. And my husband has worked for the San Francisco Post Office for 26 years. I don't want to go through this holiday season with doubts. Finally, I wish you a happy holiday! I was at the post office at 8:30pm on 12/23.

I have always taken the packages and letters I needed delivered to the USPS to support them even when it was out of my way and further than other delivery services. This is my first time going to this USPS and never have I had this negative of an experience. The lady at the first register today rushed through my order, chose the shipping option for me, and refused my requests to see the shipping options screen again or for the cheapest shipping option. She sped past the screen with all the shipping options without giving me enough time to process what she was saying, read the screen, and tell her what shipping option I wanted; she just chose for me. I did manage to see that the option I was going to choose was almost half the price of the one she chose. I kept telling her I wanted to see the shipping options again and/or that I wanted the cheapest option. She kept refusing every single time I asked even though I had multiple packages. She eventually told me she knew what I wanted and chose the cheapest - I know it wasn't - and continued rushing me without letting me see the pricing again or changing the shipping option to the one I kept telling her I wanted. I understand the lunch hour rush, but it would not have been unreasonable or taken long to accommodate the requests that I kept asking for especially since she rushed through everything. She did, however, not mind taking the extra time to joyfully chat about the holidays and look at what the lady that came up after me had to show her.

I have never experienced bad services before, at this post office (that's why I chose this one as my favorite for a long time), yet - until today. I have been regretful to let this slipped since I got a chance to talk to the supervisor, helping me on my package issue. Well, I nicely asked for help and what I got back, from the front-desk staff were bad attitudes, making fun of my suggestions, cutting off my words and jumping into my mouth in middle of my talking, turning to the next staff, sarcastically repeating my words - not even correctly reworded it since she didn't let me finish so she could understand it. I totally understand everyone has their limitations at their working positions, so if you couldn't help by any reason, just let me speak with the supervisor - and do it in a friendly and helpful ways! Now since I have read a few posts here about returning packages have never made to their destined locations, I start worrying about my package because I've gotten into the same issue. What funny is that this staff might not be aware that I understand Vietnamese, because I'm Vietnamese American, she stared at me and said "What, again!" (in Vietnamese) and then I started speaking a little Vietnamese, she sort of got startled and flipped by speaking Vietnamese, in impolite way! I rarely leave any bad comments for any places, but this is totally exceptional - I was shocked! Believe me, I wouldn't negatively feedback for just ANY generic unpleasant things.

Terrible experience. I was driving to this place after work for about 40 minutes in traffic, just to drop my package (free return to online store), I was tired after work and this place was only one, that was opened until 07:00 p.m on Friday. so, the manager, who had to accept my package (Amritpal Simah) accepted my package to the desk, but after I've asked for the receipt, that USPS office accepted it, he was gone for the scanner and after he came back, everything changed! He told me, that he is not going to accept my package. I was just shocked. He told because the label was taped wrong! No words!!!! It was taped accurately and right. And another thing, all USPS locations accepted the same boxes with those tape and shipping label and nobody told me anything before, everybody accepted them! But not him! He rejected to accept it and pushed me to buy a tape for $3. I told him, that I don't need the whole tape, since I have it and told him that it is unacceptable to push to sell me something in the post office! It is not a store! So, right after that I drove to another location, being upset and angry and guess what, another location accepted it without any WORDS! I even took a picture of that package, that shown, that package is completely ok and sealed and labels are correctly taped! I think, you guys have to think seriously about your personnel, especially management. If customer service is zero, that's mean it requires to be changed.

Absolutely the WORST service I have ever received ANYWHERE! I simply ask if International packages can also be dropped into the slots as well as domestic mail. You would think it's a simple yes and no questions, but the ATTITUDE the asian lady gave me! I forgive her thinking she had a bad day, but after being "helped" by her multiple times, I realized it's just her nature. She's rude and condescending; as if you don't deserved to be talked to and you're wasting her time, ALL the time. I'm indifferent to the other clerks, neither nice or rude, but very very slow. If you live in the area, and you absolutely MUST go to this post office, steer away from the asian lady. She will excite all sorts of rage and anger that you never though you had in you. Better yet, I suggest using self service with all domestic parcels (probably a lot faster) . Best thing you can do is buy any type of balance (they have small ones at dollars stores, or handheld ones for a couple of dollars) and print out your shipping labels online at home! The prices are cheaper online as well (at times by a couple of dollars). Then just drop it in one of the bins at the post office if it doesn't fit in your mail box. You save time, money, and save yourself from fits of rage.

Some of the people at the counter are nice. But God help you if you need to get someone on the phone. That's not going to happen. Ever. I just had a nightmare experience -- an important business document taken to this P.O. Wednesday afternoon, needed to get from San Jose to Santa Rosa (just 100 miles away) by end of day Friday. Sent it on their 2-day service with tracking. Counter person said it would go out that evening (Wed) and might even be delivered early, on Thursday, because Santa Rosa is so close. The good news was, tracking showed me that it DID indeed go out Wed. evening -- BUT they sent it to North Houston TEXAS!!! Unbelievable! Two thousand miles away! Which wasted an entire day. Then another 2,000 miles back to San Francisco. Then to Santa Rosa. Where it sat over the weekend, undelivered. Needless to say, my deadline for delivery was missed. But the really infuriating thing was that there was NO WAY TO REACH ANY REAL PERSON ANYWHERE IN THE USPS SYSTEM TO ALERT THEM WHILE THERE WAS STILL TIME TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. IT'S A REALLY IRRESPONSIBLE AND INEPT SYSTEM, AND ON THE RECEIVING END IT REALLY SUCKS! (And that's stating the matter as kindly as I can!)

This is the single BEST post office facility around!!! Let me be more specific.... I believe it to be the best not because of their customer service in the main office, because they have been VERY rude to me in the past. Even having one of the clerks put is sign up right in front of my face after I had waited in line for 30+ min (the sign that says “this desk closed”, or whatever it says). I believe it to be the best postal facility because of the people that work in back. I get off work late sometimes and I have to drive from Santa Cruz to this location because they are our local hub and last pickup is 8pm. Sometimes I don’t make it there by 8 and when I don’t, all I have to do is drive around the city block to the guys I’m back and they always take my packages with a smile. These people work so hard and they always act like it’s no big deal. They give far better customer service than the other people in the front who’s job description IS customer service. Hats off to them!!!! The people in the front office could really learn a thing or two from them!!!

This is one of the few post offices in the Silicon Valley area that take walk-ins. We arrived on a Saturday at about 8:50. They started letting people in at about 9:20 am. My recommendation is to arrive before 9; the line is long and they cut off numbers at around 60 when we were there. The two primary employees who assigned numbers, provided instructions and then started processing applications were both very friendly. One of the two appeared to be a manager. She provided thorough, easy to understand instructions at the beginning and had among the best customer service attitudes I've ever experienced. The other employee, the one handing out tickets, suggested that we return a little later so we didn't have to wait. What a kind thing to do! The Department of State and the USPS should somehow capture, distill and distribute both of these excellent employees' attitudes throughout both organizations. Or at the least take some video footage that could be used in training material. You have at least a couple real gems here.

I just talked to a lady, who is the biggest Bi@#& with the biggest attitude today (8/10/13). I only called to ask about the status of my package, she just went blabbing on and on how it was already scan through their system and should be at my local PO now already and delivered(which is not.) She said, even if I wasn't home at the time, I would have been left a notice, to go pick it up at the PO. So, I have called my local PO and talked to them(worker 'n' supervisor both), they told me to called this PO, but when I called, all I got was a bi@#%, with an attitude, who didn't even once ask, what my concern, calling them was. She passed the phone call to two people and none of them could help me either. The only thing, I remember, from my rude conversation with an unprofessionally train person, who knew squat, was talk to the local supervisor. What RUDE and BAD CUSTOMER SERVICES, this place has. And to top it off, this wasn't the first time this happen to me, so BEWARE fellow citizens of this horrible place!

This is my go-to Post Office! Each time I go on line and interact with the clerks, they are are friendly, helpful and we even share laughs. Despite the sheer volume they deal with from Monday - Saturday, they keep the line moving at a good pace. The parking is ample, and I appreciate that they not only have drive-up mailboxes which are not jam-packed, but two Automated Postal Kiosks, which were already spaced 6' apart. Yes, sometimes the large receptacle for packages is jammed, but I have often been able to find someone to rectify this. I also notice that lately they have been doing a better job of keeping supplies such as flat-rate boxes, envelopes and mailing labels well-stocked. Also, if you need non-standard-sized USPS packaging (for example, I get game board mailing boxes), they usually have them in stock. Finally, among the Post Offices I have been to, they have a wide array of different type of stamps, in case you want something besides the standard-issue Forever ones.

PACKAGES WERE DELIVERED IN A WRONG MAILBOX IN OUR APARTMENT COMPLEX!! SOME PACKAGES WILL NEVER REACH THE PERSON WHO ORDERS THE ITEMS; UNLESS YOU GET AN HONEST PERSON WHO REC'D YOUR PACKAGE INCORRECTLY, BUT OPENS THEM AND RETURNS IT TO THE LEASING OFFICE IF THE ITEM DOES NOT SUIT THEIR TASTE. ANY HOW, I AM GIVING YOUR OFFICE A 1 STAR BECAUSE OF MY PACKAGES HAVE BEEN DELIVERED TO A WRONG MAILBOX LATELY, BUT LUCKILY IT HAS BEEN TURNED OVER TO THE LEASING OFFICE OPEN AND NOT MISSING ANYTHING. IF YOU CAN DO US A FAVOR, IF MAY BE OVERWHELMING FOR YOU GUYS TO DELIVER THE PACKAGES, BUT IF YOU CAN DO YOUR JOB RIGHT AND DELIVER IT TO THE CORRECT MAIL BOX STATED ON THE PACKAGES THAT BE AWESOME AND MAKES EVERYONE HAPPY. HOPEFULLY I WON'T GO THROUGH THIS ISSUE AGAIN! I SEE THAT THERE IS A LOT OF NEGATIVE REVIEW ABOUT THIS POST OFFICE. HOPEFULLY A HIGHER MANAGEMENT GET TO READ THIS POST AND WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HARD WORK DELIVERING OUR PACKAGES!

  • Josie Lantry

I do not like this post office. Every time I go in there, I am judged by the clerks. They’re part of this homogenous clic that judges Americans, with holds certified documents from being delivered, and opens mail with personally identifiable information. Our nation should not employ such foreign agents with alternative objectives, other than: The privacy and ensured delivery of private documents to their respective owner, without judgement of what or what is not a personal character trait of the individual. They have failed on all of these accounts as far as I am concerned. As soon as I walked past the exterior window in front of the counter, anger. It is these own people’s fear and judgement that condemns them. If they were simply here to support the functions of the U.S. maybe they would not feel so. And if I am incorrect, then it is just a personal defect that they share in gossiping about normal people who do not have the psychological insecurities they have.

A package that was supposed to be delivered to me by 12PM today in San Diego was last recorded to have been at this location. Upon not receiving the package, I learned from the local San Diego post office that they had not even received my package. The tracking information says "In transit," but that was over 18 hours ago. I have very important documents in that package and even when I try to call this location to inquire whether they even SHIPPED my package out, no one answers and I get a voicemail that says that the person I am trying to call is not subscribed to this service. I have been trying to reach this location by phone for the past hour. This is absolutely ridiculous. I advise using a service other than USPS from now on such as UPS. It's enough to not deliver the package at the time that was promised for the insane amount of money charged - it's another to not even be able to find out the location of said package.

I visited this location this morning asking about the email I received from Post Office regarding box rental fee will be charged to my Credit card. The lady named Su L at the counter did not listen carefully what I have concerned, she answered " that is a scam, PO never send out email, forget it" I said the email is true and I showed her that email on my phone, she did not even look, Su gave a number and asked me to call. I told her that I want to talk to the manager, she said "he is on the phone", I will wait for him; I replied, she told me " I don't know how long he will be done talking" . Su L. is very mean to customer and unprofesional. About 15 minutes, the store manager came out, I asked him to check on PO system to see if the account was assigned to me, box and cancel the services. The reason I post my comment here because the ways they treat clients are too rude. The lady who served me very mean.

This place is only good if have a small package that can fit in an envelope or you boxed it up on your own ahead of time and everything will be smooth. If you're not either of those people, you're gonna have a hard time. I had a graphics card I had to return to the manufacturer for warranty repairs. I had multiple different employees approach me telling me that I was in the wrong about how I was to package my graphics card. As soon as I corrected myself, I stood in line. Whenever I was near the front of the line, a different employee went up to me and corrected me on how I was to package my stuff. I left the line and continued this cycle about four times. I pretty much ditched all the materials that I used to package my stuff without paying and went to a smaller store and had them do the packaging and processing for me down the street.

I have never had a good experience at this post office. You’re provided misinformation that is inconsistent with the USPS website or when speaking to customer service on the general service line or with staff at other branches. Additionally, the self-service machines were not working and when asked for assistance I was told to try again (I did so multiple times on both machines). By the time I was fed up, they closed the gate. Lastly, another customer (probably also frustrated with broken machines) left a debit card in it. When I tried to get attention to turn it in to the counter, I was ignored. So I accessed through the gate when they opened it for someone else and before even asking why I entered I was yelled at. They finally listened and accepted the cc when I spoke louder than them. This place sucks. Try a different branch.

Went to drop off two boxes. The boxes said DHL on it. The guy at the front counter said ' I can't accept that because our system might get confused when it looks at DHL box' a gentle of Sikh origin (apparently his supervisor) standing close by said the same thing. I walked away, because I knew I'm dealing with dummies. I'm manager at DHL(fyi: global leader in international postal service) and this is the funniest thing I've heard. If my front counter turned away a potential customer I'll be sad/mad, and I would know its coaching time for them. USPS: I think this is why you posted your second financial loss warning this year. Get your act together and help customer instead of taking it as a 9-5. If anyone takes to write a review its because there genuinely dissapointed. Best of luck providing the sukiest service.

  • Sarah Honore

This is the absolute worst Post Office EVER!!!!! This is the second time they have lost my package and did NOTHING to actually help me find it. The post office guy (Juan V.) is NOT helpful. He basically called me a liar for not having my mail in my box because the delivery boy claimed it was in there. He also did not have the answers to any of my questions. It seems like they hire people on purpose that WON'T help you because they hate their own life or something. HORRIBLE! Do NOT ship through them or you are gambling on your package and when you go into the office to speak to the staff, even if you show up with a smile, they will greet you with the WORST attitudes. Shame on this establishment! I cannot believe this. It would be nice if you could rate this office and USPS with negative starts. Too bad!

  • pinkacorn pinkacorn

Before I visited here, I expected this branch would be better than other branches since it looked huge But it turned out it was not. They didn’t even know the “first class mail letter size” and charged me more than I used to pay in any other branches so far. And when I asked why this is a different price than other branches, he said, people in other branches don’t know exactly. Also, said go to other branches next time. Well, for me it looked like he was the one who didn't know anything about what he does. Also, one another hilarious thing was when we asked one associate’s name to make a review, the lady kept resisting to provide her name even though the supervisor said so. She was covering her name tag with her long hair. This branch is full of comedy.

It is **NOT** "temporarily closed" I've been going almost every day and am trying to get Google to update their info on this. I've literally been an Ebay seller for 20 years and counting. This place lives up to the standard high quality of service of the US Postal Service. The people here deal with a huge amount of mail, and all kinds of problems dealing with international shipping. Everyone likes to complain about the postal service, but over literally 20 years I can count the things that got lost on the fingers of one hand. And so what if some of the people working here have funny accents, they are very professional and proud to work for the USPS. This place is not so much fun to be on April 15th or such days, but I really like this post office.

  • aileen graeber

I drove up to an outside mailbox where a man had a cart. Back door of mailbox open, so I assumed he was emptying the mailbox. I handed him my mail because I pulled too far away. This was early afternoon Sunday 9/17 One week later, my mail never arrived at its destination. Since it contained personal check, I had to stop payment. At a fee with my bank. I sent an email to the post office. They had someone call from my post office for my zip code, although I clearly stated I dropped my mail off at the larger location a few miles away. I dont know if they really have people working sundays. I just hope some crook doesnt get my check and bleed me dry of all my funds in my bank account Cant trust the post office I guess.

Staff are horrible especaily the asian lady that is there everyday she is so rude, down talks to you.. If I have packages with paid postage and want to get them accepted what is the big deal if I bring 5 or more what do you get paid to do??? • Cici W

I came here to pick up my package, an old guy checked my tracking number and left for 20 minutes, and came back said he can't find it, ask me give them more time and come back tomorrow. I did it, then a female manager told me the next day without looking at my tracking number, they don't have my package, she said it must be at central office if their staff can't find it yesterday. What a jerk, then why u ask me come back? i will get my money back from the seller if it's lost, I don't care, but she's so irresponsible. BTW, I move here recently. like so many other neighbors who are complaining, it took forever to get our mail box key.

  • WE TRAVEL WE BECOME (WTWB)

This postal service is a shame. We had PObox here just for 6 months but we can't count how many time we lost our packages. You will get more depression when you deal with those chinese customer services here ( guys name ALEX). We showed them we got email delivered notice and what they told me all the time is WAIT. They are too busy to put mail in the box. Right, TOO BUSY to CHIT CHAT instead of working. When I complained them, they just ignored me and right after I turned my back, they talked in chinese. It made me feel uncomfortable. If they want to use chinese instead of english, they should go back to where they come from.

  • Joseph Shaughnessy

I have a mailbox here and also see to other business when needed. I would give five stars for the attention and really good customer service here. The single star off is for employees having to work so hard within the difficult and ridiculous USPS technology foisted upon them, always seems 15 years behind. An exception are the two autonomous units that are open 24/7//365 in the lobby, they are quite versatile if you trouble to go through the menus. I could not renew my mailbox online, essentially locked out there. But the self-service autonomous unit let me pay and lock up my obligation for another six months after hours.

I have patiently waited for this post office to deliver my package which they received on 01/05/2016. As of this writing 01/13/2016, I'm still waiting for the delivery of my package. In addition, I've been on hold now for 1 hour and 36 minutes. I've been waiting to speak to the Supervisor Denise. I already have a formal complaint against this post office for not delivering my package and ling about making an attempted delivery. They failed to realize that I have a surveillance camera and at not time have they ever made an attempt to deliver my package. No wonder this post office is rated so poorly.

  • Darlene Quiroz

Iam writing a review for this post office because for the last month or longer in the front walk way there has been a leak. Not a little one the sprinklers or water main is busted. Seems like. No one check this place out we as tax payers pay for the water being wasted. We have been in trouble not have much rain for the area and places like this have running leaking water like no problem it bothers to see this and no one taking care of it. Dose anyone even check for these things out. We all have to work together if we want to conserve Water U S post office please check this out and fix it.

Came on a Monday around noon time. There was a very long line to go inside. I went to the drive-by postal box by the parking lot and tried to put it. An Incredibly rude Indian lady (postal worker) with rhe mail cart would not allow me to put my small package inside the postal box. She told me to go inside and drop it off there. I told her I am really pressed for time and my package fits inside, i also already had a label. She wouldn't allow me to and cursed something in her language. She did the same thing to the guy behind me. This is the worst post office I've ever been to.

  • MIA

i am giving my 2 drop off package on one of the staff here (a lazy old man). He said he can't scan the tracking number because my printer is not good and he said that i can leave my two boxes on the counter but they have NO any obligation on that package. This rude trying to pointing out that i need to change my printer and he doesn't care if my package will get lost. He knows that the tracking from the box have number at the buttom so he can type it in on his computer, but he is just LAZY to do it. Rude staff and lazy. They doesn't even deserve one star.

  • david cercone

the worst customer service...package was missing and USPS said that my local post office(willow glen) should be following up to track package. The woman at the post office said that she can't do anything until it arrives at her post office! Well if it was arriving like it was supposed to, there would be no need to try and find it right? She said she would hang up and call me back so she could talk to her supervisor (Toni) and guess what? Yeh she never called back. And of course no one picked up the phone when I called her back. THE WORST!!

  • Jess Velarde

Avoid this place if you can. Been waiting on a mailbox key for three months. Yes - no mail for three months. I've submitted multiple hold requests and they have failed time and again to actually hand me the mail that was confirmed to be at the post office waiting to be picked up. Disorganized location, overworked employees, nonexistent customer service. It's quite bad. A tip if you have to use this location - try to work with your mailman directly to get your packages and mail is possible. That's the only way we've made it work this long.

  • Aude Gabiane

There is always something that goes wrong with this post office. They never pick up the phone and on the very rare occasions they do, you can be sure that the communication will be cut at one point. Of course, you will need to call back because no one was able to help you and of course, no one will ever pick up the phone. Do not bother asking for redelivery because the delivery guy never shows up with the package on the date and day requested. I could go on and on... Only bad experiences with this usps post office.

  • Igor Podkhodov

I came today (Thursday, April 14th) at 5:30 am to apply for the US passport. There was already a line. Don't forget to take your chair, thermos and a blanket - it was 52F today morning ;) At 7:40 am the USPS employee began to distributed tickets. I got the 20th from the start. USPS started to receive passport applications at 7:55 am even though they should begin it at 10 am!! I was really impressed. Everything went rather smooth, employees were polite and professional and my application was accepted at 9:40 am.

  • April Fang

Agree with other customers, service is horrible here. Had two small packages that I was shipping, I was the only person in there. Asked the guy if he could reinforce the back of the envelope with a strip of tape and he said no, it would cost money! He said "at most I can give you 2 small pieces for the corners but unless you want to pay for a roll of tape or ship via priority mail I can't do that for you" wow. Are you serious. The stingiest post office ever. don't come here if you can avoid it.

  • Marcelo Orantes

Tracking package for over one week going on 2. It took one day from Az to get to this office. Package tracking shows in transit so I called 800 number and filed an investigation. I am less than 50 miles away and even offered to pickup package myself. My local office called me and even they are puzzled ad to why it is taking so long. By the way, my local office and the person on the other end of the usps 8oo number were very friendly.

  • Steven Zingale

The shadiest USPS location I've had the displeasure of dealing with. They have opened and straight up stolen my girlfriends mail. Important/sensitive documents have been opened and they have feigned ignorance of having those documents. It's a shame that they can't allow us to have nice things that are as simple as receiving important mail. Shouldn't have to tell employees how to behave and differentiate right from wrong. Do better.

  • Rajendra Jena

Worst kind of service. I had a percel (Tracking No. LS047431842CN). In the USPS site, it shows that the address is not available. Its very funny. I have ordered 3 items from Amazon, 2 item delivered and for the 3rd one address became unavailable. snt it a joke. Though my address is in a prime and well known location. Looks the USPS people only update the system without delivering the goods. It happened to few of my friends too.

  • Lucinda Rodriquez

I returned a package on 11/23/15 and tracked it today 12/4/15, it shows this LUNDY location my package arrived on 11/24/15 and has been sitting there since, its been almost two weeks. The returning items are an exchange to try and arrive before XMAS! The phone number on website is not valid. Not Good service at this location, no phone to call and speak with someone, no progress on my package returning to Florida.

  • B. Marquez

The service doesn’t bother me since all I mostly care for is the convenience it brings with its 8pm last collection time. The service I want is the service I get. I’ve had some employees even take my mail a few minutes after the cutoff time. That’s not good service? The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is the people there (employees, customers, everyone). Nobody is in a good mood. Nobody.

  • AVD

Good post office. I've never had issues besides once a package being sent to Hawaii instead of Texas. This was resolved though as I had a tracking number. They try to help you but sometimes the line is very long and reaches all the way outside the building. Also sometimes the machine to send the packages yourself isn’t working so I recommend just waiting in line instead. They also have free boxes

  • C V

Super knowledgeable staff and quick to help the people in line. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the panhandling occurring outside. Parents bring their children outside to ask for money and once I saw a baby in 90 degree weather at around 3 pm when temperatures are at their hottest. DO NOT GIVE ANY OF THEM MONEY! It's an organized scam. Should be considered child abuse/neglect.

  • H T

I accidentally mailed a money order without a postage stamp. I was expecting a return but I never got it. Turned out... the money still actually made it to the destination on time. Which meant somebody at this postal office had put the stamp on himself/herself. THANK YOU to whoever might be! That same person probably did the same for alot of people as well. What a HERO!

  • Tiffany Trac

Wow... i used flat rate box but the cashier said they don't provide tape. She said that this post office doesnt have it and i have to buy my own. Really? Every post office i've gone have it available for customer who use flat rate box. I've sent and used this service for thousand times so i know well what they provide what they don't. Never again.

  • Haku Michihata

The service attitude is too bad, no greeting, questioning me what is in the package even the package already has the paid USPS priority mail label on it. Complain directly to my face that I speak softly . This is the first time I see such a rude employee, if there is no way to speak properly, please change to another position. Her name is Sheron.

  • Cathy Stewart

I waited 6 months for my apartment mail box key. It was only after one of the employees took pity on me and came over on his own time that I got it. The complaints were so bad that they did start issuing keys faster. They said it was slow because the work had been contracted out. It's management that is at fault, not the helpless employees.

  • Mercedes

I had to come to USPS here on Lundy after the hispanic lady at the USPS on Junction Ave. was very rude to me simply because i wasn’t familiar to returning packages. But the ladies here at the LUNDY facility are very much polite. Thank you for helping me out. I just don’t understand why some people are just plain out mean to strangers.

  • Alyssa Tra Truong

Try to avoid at all cost. They are very inefficient here. Even if you have your package prepared, labeled, and just want to drop off, you would still have to wait in line, despite them having a separate drop off section. When I voiced my concern, the female employee was extremely rude and blatantly said my feedback does not matter.

  • Monica Guzman

Apperantly there was an issue with my package and they were suppose to send it back to the sender (to me) in salinas but apperantly this post office keeps sending back to Los Angeles twice! Hello!! Can’t they read the package. It’s been almost a month now I haven’t receive it. When I call they never answer! This is ridiculous!

  • John Pineda

Employees at this location ESPECIALLY that one guy who collects mail at 8pm probably hates his job to the fullest. Nothing but really bad attitude coming from this guy. He just really doesn't really want to be there. I drop off packages every night by 8pm always give me attitude. I would like to complain about this guy!

  • oneseattle

This the worst company ever - loss 1 of every 3 package ship internationally, horrible customer service. Never ever use USPS to ship package. Domestic letter OK. I don't think they will survive with this kind of service. If they still funded by some of our tax dollar - please stop it, its a wise use of my tax dollar.

  • Anthony Lee

I usually stop in this post office branch because it opens late during the weekdays compared to other branches and they have a drop mailbox for packages because they have the automated postal machine. It is actually nice you can also drop your prepaid packages on right counter inside the post office when it is open.

  • Sarah K.

Word for word.... "Worst service ever, I spend an afternoon at work once trying to see if anyone would answer the phone and no one ever did. It rings forever until you get disconnected, then its busy (as if someone walked over to the phone, hung it up then took it off the hook to avoid more calls) "

  • Carol Thompson

I am very unhappy with this Post Office as they have lost cards that I have sent my Granddaughter with gift cards enclosed and they have lost her unemployment checks and I tried to call them and all you get is the automated voices that are so frustrating!!!!! Very mad from Montana!!!!! …

  • Jeff Yen

Unprofessional staffs... I was trying to send out a parcel which contains a digital thermometer, but the staff told me it has mercury inside which is prohibited to ship. WTH... do they know what "DIGITAL" means? I ended up going to different USPS location and sending the parcel successful.

  • Pablo Pinto

Staff is very helpful but the whole experience is less than ideal. Not enough open windows to attend clients. Given it was peak time (after work) you'd think it'll be properly staffed but it wasn't. Dirty floors and pens with no end in the customer DIY counters doesn't help either...

  • Brady Sewall

I don't know why this location gets such bad reviews. It's a great location. I especially like it because it's open much, much later than other Post Offices in the area. I've only been there a few times to drop-off pre-paid packages but it has always been a very quick process.

  • XY Z

What make them think they can close Saturdays and Sundays? Because they are so special? Weekdays we are at work no time for it. And they basically don't do nothing because people barely go there. And Saturday they take day off just like us. Don't they have to work at all

  • Andrea Meszaros

My tracked letter ended up at the office, but was never delivered. When I attempted to contact the post office no one answered the phone and they had a rude message telling people they do not have voice mail. I will not be sending a letter through this post office again!

  • man VS golf

I dropped off a pre-paid, pre-labelled $450 package in-person.... only for the mail to never be delivered, never get scanned, no where to be found. I will NEVER use this location again, and I will take my business to Fedex/UPS whenever possible in the future. Shameful.

  • Yygrrrdjk

This office deserves no star, I have a Po Box and very often my stuff keep being put in someonelse's box, retrieving is a chalange, same way I get mail and packages that does not belong to me. I return them but not everybody unfortunately is honest. Very careless job!

  • Athmane L

Terrible customer service! The manager is always out and never had a chance to see him at work... I shipped a package and it never moved, at each time I stopped by, they asked me to contact the consumer affairs number which never worked! Do not recommend at all.

  • Curt Collett

It's really frustrating when the large package receptacle is inside and sometimes it's overfilled and stuck shut. I cannot understand why there isn't a large package receptacle outside. I've never had a rude agent and the parking is ample which I do appreciate.

  • Nathan Flohr

I got there at 2 and everything was closed. The self-service machines were open however one of them was broken and the other one did not accept payment, therefore also broken.. it's quite infuriating when you drive out of the way for something that doesn't work

  • Rory Pascua

Poor customer service. I was trying to sign up for a PO Box. I was told I need an ID that proves my physical address. I read the application and clearly that was false information. I went to another post office and they accepted my passport and my signed lease.

  • jude han

Very poor service, they don't know how to respect others. When customers have questions, they have no patient to answer. And also make the customer for a second line to waiting. If you don't want to have a bad mood, it's recoomended that you don't come here.

  • Brian Hubbs

There are a few very nice employees. Sara, in particular. Most of these reviews are probably out of spite and the customers who were more than likely in a big rush and not the nicest to the employees. I've had many great experiences here.

  • John Bell

Very nice U.S. Post Office. It's super-sized, it must be the main one for San Jose. But don't let that fool you. The lobby and services area is rather small. Only 4 checkout windows. Not busy at all. Staff are friendly. No complaints.

  • Craig Domer

Line can be very long sometimes but it usually isn’t.The workers are also very friendly and can usually help you fast.I sell things online so I am always shipping things so this place is helpful.Never really had any problems here

  • edent1028

Been standing in the cold since 8:30. It is now 9:23 and they haven't even started letting people in yet. No announcements. Nothing. All listings say they open at 9am. Not sure what the deal is, but we're not off to a good start

  • Mimi Gaspard

The front office acts like they are on a slow boat to China; they act like they work for the County; another bunch of slow production people!! And they never smile....they definitely don’t enjoy their job. It’s a paycheck only

  • Kimberley Kaiser

Working very well under pressure right now. I always have a pleasant experience there. Treated very respectfully and thoughtfully. We receive what we give in face to face transactions. Kindness has always been my experience.

  • Alvita Amanchukwu

Two packages in a row have not been delivered to my house and all they did was confirm with the courrier that they "delivered all mail that day". Horrible customer service, phone number is either busy or no one answers.

  • Merlo Tamayo

Customer service is really bad. Slow and not very friendly. The people working in the widow should be able to use 10key by touch to enter transaction information, but I have seen them use a pen to push /touch the keys.

  • Shama Saleem

I went at 12pm and waited 2 minutes. The staff is very friendly and helpful so getting things done is very efficient. By the time made it back into my car, 10 minutes had passed. Noon is a fantastic time to go!

  • Xinyao Zhou

Currently waiting to get something mailed. There are about 10 ppl before me, and after 15 mins waiting, there are 12 ppl behind me, still 9 ppl before me. And, there is only ONE window open helping clients

  • Jim Puzar

Yes, they have the self serve kiosks for Saturday; however, there are no supplies needed to mail anything other than a regular envelope. Don't bother coming on Saturday go to the Berryessa branch.

  • Ryan Donovan

I would give less than 1 star but it won't let me. The phone number rings and nobody picks up, then it rolls to voice mail and then it cuts out. Totally frustrated!!!!!! Pick up the phone!

  • Emma R

never ever use usps if possible. they will mistype your tracking number, they will guide you to nowhere for the package. I had terrible experience in both Pittsburgh and the bay area

  • Park Ji-Sung

Definitely the worst customer service branch in the bay area. Staff attitude are terrible, I wonder how can they treat customer with such attitude. Be sure avoiding from this branch.

  • Griselda Calvario

I payed almost $8 to get my letter delivered in 2 days. My mail was delivered in one week!! Why even offered fast service when they clearly dont care when your mail arrives!!!]

  • David Chai

The employees here are very rude. They abused me of stealing their tape and charged me extra money on it, just because I don't have the receipt??? Never ever go to this site!!!

  • Van Nguyen

Very friendly staff, especially the woman called Sukh. She recognized and told me about the mistake I made on my envelope. Thank you very much. Nice and clean place as well.

  • Patricia McHarris

Postal employee 1st on the line up made me drive to the bulk mail delivery to drop off a small box that was postage paid & she was very rude. I will keep using UPs or FedEx.

  • Morgan Easton

Would give 0 if I could. WORST customer service. Took them forever to get my mail box keys (3+ mos), lose packages all the time, NEVER answer their phones. Horrible USPS.

  • Honor Spitz

…just as previously stated by those before me, no one answers the phone!! Ever!! Some of my neighbors and I have received mail only 2 days out of the last five!! hmmm

  • Ram N

Horrible customer service. No one lifts phone and redelivery confirmation is a joke. The USPS call center registers our request but gentlemen here never bothers.

  • Kerry Kerr

This Post Office is a fine example of what's wrong with the USPS! The Management needs to get involved with the business. Poor or nonexistent customer service.

  • Cathy Zhang

I’ve never seen a USPS worst like this. They charge everything, provide nothing. No service, no help. The attitude is like they hate work here. Worst ever!

  • joe valenzuela

I don’t know why would the postal service allowed you to print your priority mail a date of shipment but no way for the package to be drop off that day.

  • Chao Ouyang

Worst costomer service. The old lady didn't let me drop off a package on the counter. I had to go to the self-service machine. Wasted time on lining up.

  • Dawei Li

Package arrived at this distribution center almost 2 months ago but never delivered or updated. No one answers the phone and mailbox is always full.

  • sumi seo

Mailing job is like this. Following time, and do their work because even work harder or less, it is same salary. It will be extincting job soon....

  • Allens Lawncare

Horrible. Do not know what is going on , but someone should get fired for their service. Ha da package sitting there for 3 weeks now. hasn't moved.

  • Nishant Rakesh

Love this location. Always breeze to get in get out. Friendly staff. My experiences were different than other reviewers. Best part is parking.

  • Karthic Ashokan

The US postal employees were so courteous and professional. I don't know why people give them a bad rating. I'd definitely come back here.

  • Joe Coughlin

I love this place. If you know what you're doing, this is the place to go. Plus you can go inside and mail envelopes and packages 24/7.

  • Michael Oliver

My letter has been sitting there for five days. It is like watching paint dry. I hope the private sector put the USPS out of business.

  • Alyssa

They NEVER deliver my packages on time. Reside elsewhere to avoid being stuck with their service! Worst post office service ever.
