DO NOT CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT, SHOW UP IN PERSON. I called to get my fingerprints taken on the 20th of December, I asked for a place in Melbourne, near my work. The clerk tells me that there's a backlog until the 17th of January, which is fine, so I asked to book it before work at 8am and he does so. I don't get an SMS or email confirmation of this, nor do I get a reminder before the day. Sure, okay, they might be still stuck on a system from the 90's. I arrive at the fingerprint facility on the 17th only to be told that my appointment isn't that day. That's odd, as I had but it in my calendar while I was talking on the phone. They looked in their database, and yes, I was booked, but on the 21st of December, in HORSHAM, 300km away. What. the. hell. Had to rebook it in another 3 weeks. Great. Good customer experience there VicPol. Why is the booking not done through a website?!

Was about 10 minutes late to the appointment, staff said that he could not do the appointment even though there was no one else waiting in line, or even in the waiting room. Told him the circumstances that the parking was horrible as well as there being so much construction around, that I got stuck, didn’t matter. Next appointment is in August. Drove an hour for nothing. There’s only one facility in Melbourne, come on.

Professional, polite and fast! I called for making an appointment and the appointment was made for very next day. also the lady on the phone explained all necassary information patiently same as her colleagues at the office. They are all great

A superb experience to deal with a government authority. The police officer, Lili, was very nice and helpful in helping me to take the fingerprints. She also suggested me to use a plastic bag/folder when sending. Thank you, officer!

I Called them up to book a appointment for fingerprint. Waited 58mins and only thing I kept hearing was thank you for holding one of our staff member will be with you shortly. Fix up your phone system vicpol

Fast and efficient. It's in the wtc building on the Siddelley Street and not on the main Flinders St. As the map shows right now. Look out for the red fascade

I've used this facility several times as part in immigration and passport renewal processes; always found them to be efficient and friendly!

Earliest appointment is 26 days out. In general Australians are nice, but, not these hardened soulless government types. Avoid if possible.
