"The movie was great the seats were great the only down side was that they never had one of the food items I wanted and I watched the Barbie movie in gold class and was looking forward to the special cocktail they had on offer the drink came out and it was a normal blue cocktail I was looking forward to the special drink to"

"Terrible service in gold class the last 2 times we went"
"Recently went to see new Mission Impossible movie, good food, comfortable seats, although we had a freezing cold breeze blowing over us the entire time"
"I took 4 teenagers to gold class hobart and it was absolutely terrible! Cost $320, the cinema was really cold, kids got their drinks after half an hour and then another 30mins after that got their popcorn!!! Very disappointing! Edit: after contacting village they did give me free tickets and said they would follow up with staff so hopefully a better experience next time"
The movie was great the seats were great the only down side was that they never had one of the food items I wanted and I watched the Barbie movie in gold class and was looking forward to the special cocktail they had on offer the drink came out and it was a normal blue cocktail I was looking forward to the special drink to. The staff members could of at least told me the drink was unavailable so I could of chosen a different drink. Otherwise the food we got was nice the drink not so much worth the experience just remember to ask if foods and drinks are available.
My partner and I were a little apprehensive to see a movie in Gold Class after reading some of these reviews, but were pleasantly surprised. The few staff working were incredibly accommodating - notably the young woman (glasses, I think the manager) who served us as well as the man behind the bar (dark hair and beard) and young man who brought us our food (tall, wearing a hat). They were particularly attentive to my partner’s dietary concerns, gave lovely service but were obviously exhausted. I hope these guys are getting some kudos. It’s well deserved.
Terrible service in gold class the last 2 times we went. First time they completely forgot our order until I brought it up with them, then the movie was almost over so no time to enjoy yet we ordered it 20min before the movie started. 2nd we ordered 5min before our movie and it took 40min in to get our drinks an another 20 to get our food and the pizza was cold. Rang buzzer twice, so ended up getting up to see someone as no one came. Ridiculous to pay this much with this poor of service.
Recently went to see new Mission Impossible movie, good food, comfortable seats, although we had a freezing cold breeze blowing over us the entire time. Very unpleasant as it's the middle of winter here, so won't be returning any time soon. I mentioned it to the guy when leaving, and he couldn't have cared less and said almost exactly that. We used to go to gold class fairly often and give gift cards as well.

Ordered food half hour before movie. At 10 to, still no food. Went and asked had been started. Was told they will buzz and I can come out to get my food. So not only will I miss part of my movie but people around me would also have their movie interrupted. There needs to be a better system as if I had not asked I am sure I would not have gotten my food.
Gold Class...relaxing place to watch a movie. Chicken tenders and Fox sparkling recommended. Only 3 stars because if you want to go to the bathroom you have to walk our of Gold class area back into main theatre area to locate bathrooms. Missing a minimum of 5-8 minutes of film. Would be great if Gold Class had their own bathroom.
The seats in the cinema are quite worn and the armrests are disintegrating. I appreciate the effort to use 100% recyclable cups and popcorn packages, but it would be great to see recycling bins around to support this initiative. People at the top really need to align the 'eco-friendly' image with practical measures.
Gold Class. Really not up to what you expect from Gold class. Waited forever for a simple drink to turn up, staff seemed like they really didnt know what they were doing. Exhorbitant gold class prices for food are really that. $25 for wedges Even the screen is not showing the quality expected for the price.
Definitely go Gold Class if you like a more exclusive feel and fewer people. Food on Gold Class menu is overpriced, I'd suggest sticking to popcorn, drink & choc top for the movie then eating a meal elsewhere for much better quality and value, plenty of excellent restaurants and cafes within walking distance.
The cup holders were crusty and sticky. The seats still had popcorn and greasy marks all over them from the previous people. We sat in a row above the stairs and the wall had what looked like dried soft drink running down it. Definitely in need of a serious thorough clean.
Decent village cinema. I enjoy going here. There is generally a line, so buying tickets in advance for something popular is probably recommended. None of the separate cinema rooms are too small. All I have been in have had good sound and have been clean. Friendly staff.
I went to the Village Cinemas Hobart to watch Avatar 2: The Way Of The Water. And it was great. Good staff, big screen and comfortable seats. The food is expensive but they have got to make money. If you have some time to burn with friends or family it's a good option.
The food took about 1 hour, prawn twisters soggy, fish overcooked, chips were supposed to be wedges not overcooked french fries, very salty & no potato cake that was on the menu, lastly the theatre was very cold. Not the best impression especially for mother's Day.
We saw a movie last night in V Premium seats in Village Cinema Hobart City…the seats hadn’t been cleaned and was dirty. Popcorn on everywhere. It was clear that, they didn’t clean the seats at all after the last show. It was not a pleasant experience.
Love Gold class experience while watching Oppenheimer. However extremely disappointing when ordering from the menu, when 3 of the 4 items we ordered were sold out. Our once off special date night a little disappointing. Staff where lovely.
Went recently to see Barbie and have to say the staff did an amazing job. They were run off their feet but were still very friendly and welcoming. They always do an amazing job. Shout out to Mia who served us. She was so lovely.
Went to Watch new fast and furious movie. Service was great. Quick and friendly. Reason I gave 3 ☆, Milkshake was warm and the chair never worked, so couldn't recline and enjoy movie in absolute relaxation.
Don't bother calling the 1300 number because you cannot speak to anyone! Its a recording....send them an email!!! That doesn't work in an emergency when trying to contact the cinema to find a patron.
Loved this cinema. The seats are big and comfortable. Well set out with plenty of room. I went with my daughter and 2 grandchildren. We saw Elemental and really enjoyed the experience.
Great cinema gosh charged over years I remember when it was west end twin cinemas only original cinema 1 and 2 was there glad both them cinemas stil work best to watch something on
The main meals were bought out way too late, about 15 mins before end of movie, the dessert about 1/2 before! Hubby was trying to eat his cheesecake while watching end credits.
It's a good place to watch a movie but it's not clean since to cup holders are all sticky and the seats are all messy. But the movies and seats are really good in gold class.
Gold class seat was good but service was too slow, lemon lime bitters normally take 2 sec to make but it was taking near half hour, just 5 minute before the movie finished.
The seats are super comfy. The service was great and the staff was friendly as usual. I wish Gold class had their own toilets as you have to walk all the way to access.
Great facilities, comfy seats. Can't go wrong. Update 26-10-23: Nothing has changed. I've been here about 6 times since my first review. Still rocks.
You can't ring any of the cinemas if you have a query. Trying to book a gold class session that showed through google but not on the website.
We mistakenly booked for the wrong day and the manager kindly reallocated the seats for us. Thank you again to Village cinemas Hobart …
Movie theaters are small, not like hoyts but fulfilling the purpose. If you are a reward member, adult off period tickets are only $10
Mostly good matinee. Gold seat food worked fine, but not sure what's up with the Barista, because the coffee was cold …
Scratched arm rests and vinyl peeling off the seats. How can you charge $22 per ticket for that?! Slow counter service too
Great seats in VIP and food ok, late to bring drinks out and the staff seemed to not be enjoying their role. Shame.
Comfy chairs, especially good for longer movies. Friendly staff. Is expensive compared to other options.
Long waits, uncomfortable seats and the candy bar had no soft drinks available. Horrible cinema.
Gold class and I didn't receive 3 of my food items, consistent on that regard
Fantastic mother daughter date, we went gold class and it was well worth it.
Friendly, professional staff with a great range of food.
Went to the gold class, very nice seating and menu
Comfortable and better than others in the city
