I rented a Fortuner from 24 July until 7 August 2023 and paid, besides the rental charge, R 10 250 for cross border and contract. The rental was made at CT airport, but I asked if I could pick the car up in CT City. The service was excellent and it was no problem at all. VERY friendly service. I have booked cars in Cape Town and drove to Namibia before. This was my first time with Woodford. When I collected the car however they told me I needed to pay R 550 per DAY to bring the car into Namibia. Never have I heard such an enormous amount! It is always a flat fee... Since I was ready to go I had no choice but accepting. But an amount besides the rental of R 10 250 was not a nice start of my holiday. I am not someone that complains, let alone on a platform like this. But when I returned it still felt sour, so I contacted CT airport and asked how much the fee is to bring a car into Namibia. They said it is a flat rate of R 3 500. This is something else than R 10 000 what I was charged for picking the same car up in CT City - and I had rented the car at the airport originally. I then contacted the City branch who took OVER 2 weeks to come back to me with a reaction - sent emails , what's app and phone calls, but was ignored for 2 whole weeks - as if they were thinking of how to reply. After 2 weeks they came back to me and stated they implemented the new flat rate of R 3 500 to bring a car into Namibia the DAY I returned the car - on 8 August!! which is a Tuesday in the middle of the month. This does not make any sense to implement a new rule on the very day I returned the car (and not at the beginning of the month). This is very suspicious. I did request feedback for more than 2 weeks from the car rental branch and it took them 2 weeks to come back to me. With a very convenient reaction. How would you feel, red flag red flag…. We are talking about R 7 000 difference!!! The fact that I was completely ignored when sending an email/call to the branch with a friendly request for a statement was a big pity. I do not believe that my case is fair. My experience is not good. You do tend to remember the last part only, and that was bad. I will not ever rent or recommend Woodford. The least they could have done is offer a nice gesture to me. I never hoped for getting the full amount back, but a little bit or something towards a next rental would have been much appreciated.

Your service was excellent. I was especially impressed when I had to go to the airport because my flight was changed and I didn’t know whether I would still need the rental or could drop it off and take the new flight, and the agents at the airport was so nice to let me go into the building while holding the key for me and then allow me to call them if I would be dropping off the car or still needing it. I don’t think any other agent in the world has been so kind as to do that for me. The reason I always rent cars with ENTERPRISE Is precisely because you’re always very flexible. Please continue to be flexible with your customers as it means a lot!

I just wanted to leave a quick and yet a review for one of the drivers at Woodford, Ziyaad Goolam Nabie, thank you my brother for your caring service and always communicating and delivering the rentals on time. But this review is to thank you for finding personal item that i had left inside the car and you returned it to me the following day... thank you, and to woodford for hiring such professional and caring drivers.... well done!!

Sadly not a good experience. Car was not available at the cruise terminal as requested. EVENTUALLY after waiting over 2 hours, a driver collected us and took us to office in Loop Street. Employees there full of conflicting excuses. I had stated that drop off was at CPT airport, lady called on 30/12 to ask when we were dropping off!! No staff at airport, many irate customers!

The location is a bit incorrect, it's down Loop st, across the avenue, close to DHL, otherwise good experience, no problems, nice staff. We took a full insurance, so I don't know how thoroughly they check your car if you don't take it. With it, the deposit has been returned within 10 minutes (on a credit card, so it might be slower on a debit one).

Friendly and professional staff made the experience quite effortless. Although the vehicle I initially booked wasn't available, I was upgraded to an SUV which did ease my disappointment somewhat. I didn't really require the extra space though and was quite looking forward to experience the initial vehicle, which would have been a newer model.

Would not recommend. It’s been 2 weeks now and I still have not received the security deposit back. All my attempts to contact the customer care have failed. They do not pick up calls, they do not respond on WhatsApp nor do they respond to emails. The phone cuts after 10 min of holding. This is an absolute disgrace of a car hire company.

Excellent service from Onikwa and the team at Woodford Cape Town City Centre. They were fast, efficient, professional, and very responsive to questions and requests. The facility was also very clean and well maintained. Pricing was great and deposit refunded immediately. Highly recommended.

I was just delighted by the service and experience I had when renting a car from Woodford, the person whi helped me I think her name is Onikwa, she was extremely helpful, managed to organize baby car seat at short notice, and still gave us quick professional service.

Nice people, neat and clean car. However 14days later my deposit has not been returned and more money was taken after I dropped the car. I’ve had no response from this branch as I’m not from SA, I can’t just turn up. Guys do better and don’t disgrace your country
