World’s WORST BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!! I was told because my move was a longer intrastate move, I was given a flat fee for the truck which included the driving time of $420. I even have confirmation of this via text from sales man Jake. The estimate showed 6 hours of labor which I confirmed that labor was the loading and unloading and not the drive and once again I was told yes. I also told the sales rep that it shouldn’t take six hours of load unload time and he told me I would only be charged for the actual time the used. I had been quoted a flat fee for everything someplace else that would be cheaper, and I wanted clarification on their contract before I signed. When they came at me with the bill to pay with a percentage of my VALUABLE items still on the truck, they came at me with 6.5 hours of labor! They charged me 3.5 hours for the drive. I estimated the drive 2 hours based on its mostly expressway and 116 miles according to Google Maps. They told me because it was raining it took longer. But at 3.5 hours that meant they were traveling at 33/34 miles per hour, on I80. I am told the total that I owe, and I explain and show them the text that Jake sent to me and they said well you signed the contract for 6 hours of labor, so you have to pay 6 .5 hours of labor since the whole process started at 8:50 am. Their answer including their dispatcher George and manager Mellissa where Jake was wrong the do charge for the labor. I signed a contract that states otherwise. I did sign a contract for them, but I was told truck and drive was a flat fee. Bait and switch. Now the moving team is threatening to leave with the rest of my stuff if I don’t pay and I no longer can pay with Zelle because it was “down” I had to use Cash App or Venmo. I was willing to pay the truck fee and the labor for the load and unloading of my items and not the labor fee on top of the truck fee as explained by Jake and I was refusing to pay that labor fee ONLY! I wanted to speak with the owner.They just held their ground that I pay the full amount, or they were leaving with my stuff. I told them I would pay them the amount that Jake said, and they still threatened to leave with my stuff. I never said once that I would not pay anything at all. I was trying to negotiate a split as a compromise and split the labor they were charging me for the drive, and they were unwilling compromise. Told if I pay the full amount, they will get back to me on Monday or once again going to leave with the rest of my stuff. I reluctantly paid the full amount via Venmo with a note that I was over charged for the rest. My compromise was $120 refund for one hour of labor since I estimated the drive would take 2 hours. On Monday Melissa and I ended up in a yelling match on the phone when they offered me $60 refund on the $420 of labor charges for the drive. When I kept asking for a compromise of one. Instead, she hung up on me. ALSO, THE TRUCK LEAKS!!!! My stuff was wet, luckily it was mostly plastic bins and boxes of clothes that could be rewashed and dried. They offered to pay $0.30 per pound for damage but nothing in this case was permanently damaged. But who is not to say other peoples’ belongings won’t be damaged by their leaky truck. Sad think was the two guys who were working tried to stay out of the whole thing while I argued with the one who was handling the money. One even told me on the side how sorry he was for this and that Jake shouldn’t have done this. George the dispatcher said it was wrong and I should get my money back. Jake refused to even respond to me in anyway. They allege they have recordings of the phone conversations but did not offer them. Nor do I recall being advised that conversations were being recorded. Lastly, most of my conversations with the company was done via text and I have the text tread. Even after all of this, I handed each of the three movers $40 cash (an hour‘s labor) as a thank you for their hard work because it wasn’t their fault their boss refused to be a honest business man and honor Jake’s quote.

Predatory & Unprofessional - If I could give zero stars I would. I used World's Best Movers for a long distance move with a pickup date on 6/14/22, and they delivered what remained of my belongings on 7/18/22. The experience with this company was a nightmare at every stage. A few of their key offenses include: - Delivering a week past the delivery window (in violation of their contract). I had to leave multiple days of voicemails before reaching anyone to even be notified of this, and then I was given multiple excuses and told it would be 3-7 more days. - Did not provide 24-48 hours notice even past the delivery window (in violation of contract) and even once the driver notified me of when he would be there he did not show up and did not tell me until after 8pm that he would not make it that day. It was only at 8pm after he already missed delivering for the day that the driver told me he would need to rent a uhaul to access my location which would cost me extra then tried to charge me more than the company price list for that. This also added multiple hours to how long it would take him to get to me. - Customer service was alternately unresponsive, rude, and invoiced me for more than I owed. - Upon delivery, more than half of my items no longer had their inventory tags. The driver couldn't tell what was mine, tried to give me things that didn't belong to me, and was then rude when I told him I would not sign a legal document stating that all of my belongings were accounted for and in good condition. - Multiple items were broken, and every single broken item was in a box that was clearly marked as fragile but had been torn and/or crushed. I personally watched the driver slam multiple boxes marked as heavy down on top of an already crushed box marked as fragile. All items in boxes not crushed and torn were fine, so it was not an issue of how they were packed. - The driver put together the bed that the original moving team had disassembled. When I went to sit down on the edge of the bed the mattress flipped over on me. Upon investigation I found that he had put it together with only 6 of the required 12 bolts and that one entire support bar was hanging down to the floor. It was visibly unsafe, but he had told me it was all good to go. When I called to ask him about this he told me it wasn't his fault because whoever had packed it lost the bolts. When I asked why he chose to deliberately cover that up and risk injuring someone rather than just tell me he didn't have all the parts he panicked and told me he forgot to tell me then blocked my number and refused to take my calls again. - Despite repeated reach outs to the company about these issues they have refused to call me back and have done nothing to make up for their complete failure to deliver what was promised aside from a $100 credit on my 3K+ bill. Do not use this company. They are not worth the risk, have no respect for you or your belongings, and do not fulfill their contracts.

Jorge Alex I would most definitely recommend this company for any move that you need whether it’s a local Move or an out of state move. They guys were prompt arrived on time, Very respectful, Professional with the way they loaded and Wrapped Items that needed to be protected. Didn’t complain about things that were not completely Packed right by me.Kept me informed constantly if something was needed to be done to insure certain items would be protected. They worked non stop at an amazing speed and and were very meticulous about every detail that I requested. Fell down and Hurt hisself very Badly and Had a very deep bruise in his Back at least a 6inch area that turned Very red and Blue within minutes, But this Gentleman got right up and continued to Keep working very Hard. Absolutely AMAZING GROUP OF HARD WORKING GUYS!! THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE VERY PROUD OF THE GUYS THAT THEY TRUST TO Represent the Company!! Kudos to All of you at this Company!! I will proudly Refer any and all of my Friends and Family whenever they need A GREAT MOVING COMPANY.

I just had the best moving experience with World’s Best Movers! The team was very courteous, gentle and operated with such a friendly manner, which is difficult to do with the amount of heavy lifting I needed! We went from a 1br in a high rise (a large one bed, it had A LOT of stuff) plus clearing out a storage unit with a second bed set to a 3br duplex up on the third floor of a walk up. I want to really give it out to the team - Mark, Meti, Jermain, and Jorge for doing a phenomenal job and finding solutions for challenging moments (like parking their big truck in reverse on my tiny one way street! Also, most movers were not okay quote my move with my 65” ultra thin OLED tv but these guys were up to the fast, fastening a box and wrap for it and it came out perfectly. Thank you so much!

I used this company to help me move from my great grandmothers house. They quoted me one thing charged me $400+ more. Had me pay extra to disconnect my air conditioner they took all the copper. Scratched my antique furniture. Broke my 55” tv. Broke a large mirror. Then stole my grandmothers antique pots and pans that has sentimental value. I have no kitchen ware because they never took it off their truck. Dutch ovens big pots antique Pyrex Corning ware cake pan ninja all missing. I would never recommend anyone pay to be robbed. Then they asked for a tip. I wish I knew then that they had stolen a broken so much stuff before I tipped. $1200 to be robbed. I wrote a email no response. They have not heard the last from me.

Antonio, Javier & Alvin were thee best movers I have had to date! They were on time and swift!!!! They were so patient with my parents as this was a hard and emotional move for them. They are priceless and I would definitely book them again! Worth every penny!!!! Thank you guys!!! I was over charged by $200 because of tape and packing materials for sofa and mattress. It would have been nice to know the information before hand and I still don’t believe that was $200 additional dollars!! They did a good job moving but I don’t like surprises! Instead of arguing with the Antonio because he was really nice I called the corporate office with no reply back! Won’t be doing business with them again EVER!!!

I just used them for a move today and I can not believe how amazing the experience was. They were the nicest people every step of the way. I called way too many times to ask questions and talk through the move and they did not get irritated, they were beyond compassionate. When they arrived this morning they worked very well as a crew. They had impeccable timing at each location. They had better manners than I think I have. For someone who has never used movers and didn’t know what to expect I was blown away. If I ever have to move again I absolutely know who I will be contacting.

I didn’t have a single issue with this moving company whatsoever, and I have worked with them twice in the last couple of months. Our foreman was Antonio both times, and I truly believe that it was because of his work ethic and attitude that we were able to achieve our move in under the estimated time. These T guys only want to help us move and are not interested in being greedy and taking your money. I will continue to use WBM in the future and if you want some hardworking, trustworthy individuals to handle your belongings, they’re the people to go to.

This company is absolute trash! They scratched up out bed, dresser, broke a monitor, most of our glasses and plates were smashed in peaces and completely destroyed carpet at our new place and not delivered all of our items which at this point we know they either lost or stolen. The customer service is absolute joke from Justin to George to the last person who you talk to. No one is taking responsibility for any of the damages they do to you. Not even apology. Be aware and don’t support this business!!!!

This was my third time moving within 5 years and wow did I choose the right company this time. World’s Best Movers has reasonable pricing and I will be calling you for my next move and asking for the same 3 men you sent me for this move…Antonio, Javier, and Alvin. They arrived on time, scoped out the job, and went to work…non stop! These guys were absolutely AMAZINGLY AWESOME!!!! Jorge, Alvin, and Nate were just awesome. They came promptly at the agreed upon time. Explicitly explained all details of the move before, during, and after. We ran into a lot of hurdles due to my furniture sizes They were patient and gave me their professional opinions with any curveballs that arose. All in all they were fast but took great care of our stuff and they worked within the estimated time frame for the entire move, no overage and no damages. I would highly recommend this team!

Jorge, Nick, Alvin, and Hector were the absolute best movers I’ve ever had in the nine years I’ve lived in Chicago. They were very efficient and made my move smooth and easy. Would highly recommend for any big or small move! They moved me, a 1 bd. room, out of a second floor walk up into a third floor walk up. Professional and flexible. I had a very difficult situation when the movers arrived because there was nowhere for the moving truck to park and the movers made things very flexible by parking up the street further away so they could still help me move out on the same day as planned. The crew that moved my belongings were average, damaged a few things, and for a crew of four, not very efficient. The crew, 2 guys, Antonio, and Daniel, were EXCELLENT! Not only were they extremely efficient, Antonio went above and beyond repairing damage from the other crew, using his own supplies for things the other crew forgot to send, and helped me unload my trailer without even asking. Antonio and Daniel were top notch; If you hire WMB, request them!

Our original moving company didn’t show up so we were left scrambling to find new movers on short notice. World’s Best Movers responded and arrived within a few hours. They were thorough and got the job done. I only wish their quote had been closer to what we ended up paying—it was about twice as much. They helped us out on very short notice and did a good job so we’re grateful for that.

Worlds Best got the job very quickly. Rates were incredibly reasonable and all of my furniture was protected. From the beginning to the end Worlds Best was a delight to work with. Jorge and his team were absolutely amazing!!! They showed up early, and with 8 movers instead of 4 (but only charged me for 4) - they moved my entire apartment in under 2 hours. I cannot recommend these movers enough. They were incredibly professional, kind, and very hard-working. I have had my fair share of bad movers, but I will absolutely use them every time in the future.

I paid the deposit. Movers came out, and then when they came in the house, they said they were not moving anything. Due to it being too much stuff and it was late. They also said they had a previous job before mine, and there was a labor law that prevented them from working overtime. They said they would come back tomorrow. However, I declined. I'm still waiting for a refund.

We use them in April. The broke a lot of our stuff. Changed us an extra $2000. Above what we were quoted. And I just discovered that that cut a cable on m treadmill while moving ut because they didn't know how to disconnect it.
