I arrived in Cape Town in August of 2020 and was unable to get any form of assistance from the normal rental companies at Cape Town International. Thankfully, after a google search, I came across the details of Xtreme Car Rentals, where I was assisted with nothing but a smile and willingness to provide me with the services that I needed to make sure that I could travel around Cape Town on a budget. The car was amazing, as was the service. When I went to drop off the car when my rental was due, my phone was low on battery and my requests for an Uber were ignored by uber. Thankfully, and without hesitation, AB from the Xtreme Car Rental assisted me and dropped me at the airport so that I could get back to where I was staying, safe and sound, a small effort based on the fact that they are so very close to the airport, but a huge helping hand nonetheless. Very happy to have found the company and will be happy to either use them again myself when I am back in Cape Town or recommend them to anyone i know that may be travelling to Cape Town, Johannesburg or Durban who might need a vehicle as I did. Excellent service, and fantastic human beings!

Hello! I'll tell my story. It all started with the fact that in Russia, due to sanctions abroad, debit and credit cards do not work. So I was looking for a cash only car rental. Booked a car at xtremecarrental. I Sent all copies of documents they asked for. But still, their demand for EFT payment remains. They may accept cash rent but require EFT debit card payment. They do not give written instructions on how to do this. When I said that I was from Russia and could not pay by card and asked to accept only cash without a card, they answered me that they had all the cars booked! So, if you cannot pay with an EFT credit or debit card, then it is not possible to rent a car here for cash. There is another better company at the airport "Comet Car Rental" for the conditions and price for car rental for cash only. In that company you don't need a credit or debit card at all!

I am using Xtreme Car Rental Cape Town since 2016. This is my first review, rather late than never, to acknowledge all the professionalism of staff as well as the following: Value for your money. Serviceable and clean vehicles. Friendliness and professional staff. Excellent Client Services all the time. Since some of the staff members know me by now, they still gave me excellent services just recently (January 2020). I must share the times when I contacted them on very short notice, while boarding Or Tambo Int Airport (that is 2 x hours in advance), they still went out of their way to find a way to accommodate me. Therefore, I recommend travellers to Cape Town to try Xtreme Car Rental and experience what I have experienced. Have an awesome 2020.

I recently went to Cape Town and made use of Xtreme Car rental. I made the booking about a week and a half ahead. I send them the required document that enabled me to pay with my debit card. The day before I flew down I called their office in CT to confirm. When we landed someone was there to take us to the vehicle. The vehicle was spotless and clean. We did all the checks, signed the papers and swipe my debit card and we were off. They met me on the date of return at the BP garage at the airport, they then drove with us to the drop off zone where they took the vehicle. Less than a week back at home and I received my deposit back. Will definately make use of Extreme car rentals again in the future.

Really poor service. Our car was broken in and when we contacted the company we were told to call back the next day. Not ideal in our hour of need! The GPS we got was 29 months out of date and after it caused much confusion at road networks, we had to stop using it due to danger prevention. After collecting the car at Durban airport, we had to pay the car park fee to exit. It's the little surprises that are not appreciated. Company lacks the professionalism and clarity you crave when traveling to the other side of the world.

Because I wanted to pay cash, you made me jump through hoop after hoop after hoop, all of which I complied to before you then rocked up with the wrong car. I was initially offered a Polo Vivo, not a Toyota Aygo. Then you have the audacity to pat yourself on the shoulder for not charging me a fee for not renting me a car. If anyone had bothered to ask me before they got here if my Chinese debit card will work on a South-African card machine I could have told them, no, but noone breathed a word about that.

Xtreme Car Rental - Cape Town gave me a great service during my time in CT. The entire process was smooth and hassle-free. Getting the car at the airport was swift, and so was the return process. My refund was also processed timeously. Not only was I happy with the service from Xtreme Car Rental - Cape Town, but I am also really excited about their business model. This company is destined for greatness! Thanks guys - looking forward to doing business with you again :)

I have used xtreme car rental twice now, in JHB and in Cape Town and both experiences were great! Great service from the Cape town team, Carl and the guys were really helpful and friendly. The booking process is more manual, but their prices can’t be beat and it’s a lot more pleasant working with a local team, giving you peace of mind that you’re taken care of as a customer and know exactly what’s going on! Highly recommended!

Very disappointing experience. Car received with no oil in and i had to pay for its oil. Xtreme car rentals did not refund me for this and didn't even mention it to me despite me letting their staff know. I almost missed my flight because they were 30 minutes late to collect the car. Telling the staff about drop off times on the phone doesn't help the message get through. Very amateur service all round

After searching many rentals. All the other big rental companies prices was ridiculously expensive and the reviews was not great! Manager to get Xtreme and process was great. These guys are on top of their game. We rented a picanto for a week. The fees were very reasonable and every process was done smoothly. The service is extremely good. They give you a good car and return your deposit on time. The staff is friendly and willing to assist anytime. The only down side I experienced was that they have me the car late and I had to wait for about 20 minutes while they still prepared it.
