We weren't expecting the gondolas to be motor powered and I feel like that took a bit of the romantic vibe and feel out of it. Our ride was only 20 minutes although we booked for a 30 minute session. The view was nice, we even saw some fish and there's two 3 year old hammerhead sharks in a extremely tiny cage that you could view. As we could understand this hammerheads are the Ushaka breeding pair and a tourist attraction for the Gondolas too but it's very cruel to have them in such a small cage which they have to share with about 50 other fish, big and small. Overall it was a nice experience to have once in your life.

such an amazing place, with amazing staff. I was assisted by flo who made my booking so easy and was very friendly, we were speaking over emails and on calls, but it literally felt like I have met her before, oh then there was Baba uNdlovu that made my ride so memorable, he had such an excellent customer service, very friendly an was smiling through out my ride, such a well mannered gentlemen. Keep it up guys, I will defiantly will be referring my friends and family.

This is such a romantic and relaxing experience. My fiancé and I went on a gondola ride to celebrate our first engagement anniversary. It was so special. I felt like I was transported to another country. It's tranquil and you see Durban in a completely different way. Zulumoon also offer lovely add-ons for instance my fiancé opted for a floating message in a bottle. It was such a delightful surprise. I was just thrilled. Our gondola operator was so chilled and played along so well. It was a beautiful experience and a moment I'll treasure forever ❤️

I booked an evening ride for my wedding anniversary and I was not disappointed. Although I was a few minutes late and the weather was not that good , our gondolier was extremely friendly and willing to go out in the rain. An unforgettable and romantic experience , the highlight of the ride is when your loved one finds a bottle floating in the lake with a personalised message for them in it(all arranged by zulumoon). Would definitely recommend the evening cruise for couples one of the best experiences in Durban.

What an awesome and fun experience! Instead of a Christmas lunch 6 of us 'old gals' treated ourselves to a 30min gondola ride. Your fellows were very informative, pointing out things of interest. This is a definite redo, but this time with the husband. I have already treated my son and his wife to a night ride, now to treat my daughter and her partner. Lovely, peaceful gondola ride through the Durban canals. A bit windy (not that this is their fault, just informing so you can be prepared). We went at night so the area was a bit sparce (again just for information). Would have been nice to hear some info/fun facts about Durban/SA/some kind of interaction with the guide during the ride or maybe even light music...

This was personally, one of the most romantic things to do in Durban!!! My husband and i had a romantic picnic on a Gondola Ride accompanied by a warm-hearted staff by the name of Rodney. He was so welcoming and so entertaining. The boat was Lovely and Comfortable. We really enjoyed the ride and it was truly spectacular. I highly recommend this boat ride

Very short journey - views weren’t particularly interesting but may be different during the night. Gondola is motor powered but still a fun thing to do if you’ve nothing else to do! The ‘driver’ seemed a bit tired and looked displeased that he had to get up, but you can get some nice pictures while on it.

It's a short and very relaxing ride. The seats in the gondola was clean. Our driver was so friendly. We asked to go around twice (paid for 2 trips). Take some brown bread with you to feed the fish in the canal.

Boat riding service, this is a romantic and nice place to enjoy with your loved ones, friends or partner, I did not kniw about this place until I came to this place trying to have some time alone running away from the noise and people. It is cillie here and breezy.

Absolutely amazing It was our first time to do gondolas and we both loved it. Our picnic basket was a cherry on top, though it's a short distance I wish it can be longer. Thanks to our guide he took nice photos and he was very friendly and welcoming. See you soon

The most romantic spot in all of Durban, excellent service, the owners are fantastic people and know a thing or two about quality customer service, really enjoyed the experience, a slice of Venice in KZN. Will definitely be back again, was so good I went twice.

10/10 What an amazing experience. I booked a message in a bottle boat ride for my 8th year anniversary and the team was very professional and friendly. Our boat operator must be a professional photographer in his spare time because WOW!!!

Never thought the gondola ride would be so peaceful. Loved it. If you are in Durban, try this out if you want to just relax and take in the surroundings. Also, a side note. The river that we were on had a viewing area of baby sharks.

Absolutely loved it!! We went as a family of 6 and a half. Fantastic for families and I am sure a romantic night out. Night lights are beautiful along the canal. Hubby and I will definitely return for a date night.

The Gondolas are amazing in a special location, the Venice of Durban. I could recommend it for anyone, friends, family and especially the romantic. It is run by great people who give you real value for money.

Great Gondola ride. The Gondolas have nice comfy seats and the views at Durban point are really nice. A tad expensive for R60 per person for 20 minutes but if you do have the money it's a tranquil ride.

Our gondola ride with Bongani was excellent! The office was a bit unwelcoming though. However, our experience on the ride was relaxing and therapeutic with a picnic basket filled with goodies.

Zulumoon Gondolas go beyond great service. So accomadation and the night rides are so romantic. Also, great to see more of the waterfront and the beutiful surrounds.

Don’t waste your time. The gondolas are in disrepair and the tiny canal is ridiculously tragic.

Took a 30min ride. 160 per person for the shoes ride. Serene and nicely quiet where the Gondola rides. Went with my sister and my mother, we loved it.
