It is the central base post office dealing with the post systems of the defense forces. Due to security resons all addresses of the defence force do not have its location. Units are addressed as C/o 56 or 99 APO (Army post office). All letters of defense forces reach this place and get delivered to all concerned through them

Speed post envelope posted on 9.12.2020 addressed to Records Rajput bagged at ibpo on 25 Dec after 16 days . Do not know when it will reach the destination. Purpose of speed post is defeated and the urgency of the matter is denied. Such lethargy in movement of documents pertaining to the Defence services is uncalled for.

No way to give zero stars that's why I have given 1 star. Poorest service and very slow. I sent a item to someone for a festival and now the festival is over but still my relative hasn't received the item till now. This is very bad.

I guess this is the only army department with the WORST service. It's really unfortunate that this post office is responsible for sending posts to army personnel which takes infinite amount of time just for speed post.
