I have been to all the 54th street locations across San Antonio and this location is my most frequented since opening. I, usually, go back and forth between this location and the one by the RIM, but because of where I live, the I-10 location is usually the winner. What I enjoy: Atmosphere—the atmosphere is definitely great for a date night or group setting. It’s “cool” ambience is a higher scale dive bar, meets local food and bar eatery. Bar area—favorite place to sit in the establishment. The table tops are spacious, usually never have to asked to be cleaned, and now with everyone back at 100% capacity, more tables for seating. TV’s—honestly, 54th undoubtedly has the best viewer experience when it comes to televisions in town. I’ve been to many different bars and hybrids in town, and 54th has the best tv’s—clean, working, and willingness to change to different games at customer request. What could be better: Food—I have tried multiple dishes here and across the other locations in SA. I am an avid red-meat lover and salmon girl. With that said, as much as I hate saying, NEITHER of these main staple dishes are worth trying or purchasing. I have tried multiple times, on multiple different occasions, and these dishes are terrible. Salmon is CONSISTENTLY undercooked and for whatever reason, you will never have luck ordering a rare or blue steak. Either the cooks being picked are beginner, or to keep operating costs low, inventory is skimped and ordered cheaply. Trust me, you’re better off ordering a chicken based food or sandwich. Service—service is constantly a hit or miss, with multiple turn over at all locations. If you are to go now, I would recommend asking for Sterling. He is bomb and has been one of the only servers/bartenders remaining that has stuck around and remains world-class—fast, efficient, professional, and knows the menu. Pricing—again, for the quality of the food menu, I would recommend eating before and going for an appetizer and drink for the pricing currently offered. On my opinion, very over priced with lacking quality. Alcohol selection—multiple options available, but also would recommend grabbing a few drinks on your own prior or order the “Long Island ice tea” or the “El Perfecto”. These, hands down, are the best on the menu. In comparison to other selections, most other drinks are also overly priced for poor quality and weakness. For the price you’re paying for “regular” drinks, go with these (about $4-$6) leveled up drinks instead. Trust me.

The taste of our lunch was on spot as it always is with 54th. The minor issues started with the hostess walking us to a table, laying the menus down and saying here ya go. That's was ignored by my group as we didn't mind worrying about it. The other small issue that surfaced was the server came to our table 2 times. Once for drinks and once for our order. She never came back. I had to ask her passing me if she wouldn't mind getting us more water (yes, i said excuse me, when you have a moment would you mind getting us some water). Which she did nicely (so i guess 3 times she visited). But we all noticed our server and other servers walking around talking on their phones in the dining room even as they brought things to the table. We are a kind group of individuals that don't like to make waves so we didn't say anything but the servers were literally delivering food and walking to tables with their cell to their ear. I don't mind you speaking on your phone but maybe not while walking by my table. I felt embarrassed to interrupt their phone call to ask for anything so my group didn't. This doesn't mean our food was perfect (it was). We are just a little considered about the management's ability to have the servers attend the visitors and not be on their phone.

Everything was amazing there! We loved the environment and the food! I ordered their southwest wrap. It was really tasty! Loved their mac and cheese! My husband ordered their cajun Philly cheesesteak sandwich. It was not the best but it was good. My other friends took burger pasta and ribeye steak. The penne pasta was not that flavorful sadly. My friend did not like that one. The burger was good though. The portion for each item is huge! I couldn’t finish my wrap. Brought half back home. We got their dinner for two which is $39 for two people and it will serve you a starter, two entrees and one dessert! We also took their tater kegs I believe! They are so good! Their fry me some cheese were tasty as well! We took ice-cream with brownie for dessert ! That was good too! This place is not that expensive either! I love going to this place. Definitely will visit again.

I made a post that I am now amending. The Owner/Restaurant Manager Brian Gill, single-handedly changed my rating. I previously voiced some concerns in a post and received a prompt reply. Not the sorry for your inconvenience blah blah thoughts and prayers and keep it moving response, because nothing is going to change response. He gave me the opportunity to have him call me and discuss my concerns. Mr. Gill then let me know he discussed my review with his team and measures were taken to make improvements the same day he read my post. I absolutely love this restaurant chain and I'm certain that this location will become one of your favorite places to visit after you dine at this location. I've heard it said before that "Attitude Reflects Leadership." The leadership here is stellar! Thank again Mr. Gill for speaking with me , and I'm looking forward to my next visit at this location.

Only one star because it was the least to post. NO STARS. Twice a week I order a buffalo chicken salad this week I ordered from this location as it would be faster normally I order from the RIM location. The buffalo chicken salad was a total waste! I was sent a salad with little to no blue cheese on it, I ordered extra blue cheese and they didn’t bother to send that. The chicken I received was maybe one chicken strip cut into four pieces fried with no sauce! When speaking to the manager he was rude and claimed he personally exported the salad.. he dropped the ball on this one. I will never order from this location again, if not just because of the salad but certainly because of the rude manager who states he sent this salad personally.

I use to go to this 54th street about 3 times a week back in the day. Unfortunately things have went downhill here. The restrooms are always nasty , the food is lukewarm and the staff is extremely stressed. This latest time I went there was only one waitress handling the entire floor section. Staffing was so bad they have to close off half the dinning area due to no staffing. This poor girl was overwhelmed and took forever to order food and drinks. It was so bad we ended up doubling our orders due to the time it takes for her to reach back at our table. Thier prices have gone up quite a bit too. I wonder if this establishment is struggling. Sure hope they can turn things around.

This place is incredible. The service is always amazing no matter which one I have gone to. I'm on the mediterranean diet and have ordered the protein bowl on several different occasions and have it with the salmon so I can get my omega fatty acids. I am in love with the ancient grains and veggies in the dish. It is reasonably priced and I definitely get it with the add on avocado. The dish is so good that I have to have it at least once a week. So lunch is always kicked up at work when we go here. Love the ambiance of the place and there is always a variety on the menu for various different tastes. Definitely my go to when I'm taking family, friends and coworkers out. I will definitely be back and highly recommend. 5 stars hands down.

Went in for lunch. Food was VERY GOOD! Food was served fairly quickly. Very reasonable lunch prices. The "scan receipt" QR code to pay was not efficient... just pay the old-fashioned way. Was fairly busy but the only reason I gave the service 4☆ was because we weren't checked on our had drinks refilled. Still... all-in-all was very satisfied with my lunch.. now, to go into a coma from the warm mashed potatoes, fried chicken and the BBQ baked beans with brisket... and that biscuit... wooooah... they give Red Lobster a real run for their money!

This was our third trip going to this location. First two times were great. This time, I ordered a medium rare steak. This is what I got.... I tried to just eat it and I even used A1 sauce to try and manage it but I do not like my steaks rare. I took one bite and was disgusted. I let the waitress know and she sent it back. I'm assuming the kitchen manager came back with it and apologized. Even gave use a "free appetizer" gift card for next time. I took home the newly cooked steak and had it for left overs at work the next day and it was still so red in the middle. From now on, I will only order steak at steak houses. I'm grateful the staff was so friendly and kind but I was very disappointed with the steaks.

An experience within an experience! The food is fantastic! The desserts are delish! If something isn't right, the staff will strive to make it right. Cool ambiance with an eclectic collection of signs and memorabilia. I highly recommend 54th Street! FYI, others love it too, so you may have a short wait. It's so worth the wait! Enjoy!!

Came in today for dinner with my husband and little girl, and we had the best service experience I've had in the last few years. Our sever was incredibly quick to take our order, bring out drinks, apps, refill waters, bring out another round, clear plates, dessert, and all the little steps. She didnt miss a beat and was very attentive and kind. I didn't catch her name which is my fault, but she has short dark hair and tattoos on arms. Just wanted to give her a shout out. Protect her at all costs.

I enjoy this location because it is just a few miles from home which makes it quite convenient. So far I've been impressed with the service and delicious food. My friends I really enjoy the patio, especially with cool weather. The Happy Hour at 54th is probably one of the best in San Antonio. The appetizers and drinks are more than fairly discounted. 54th Street really prides itself in cleanliness which I truly appreciate.I highly recommend this location if you're in the area.

Good service, food and drinks It's what you expect at a 54th Street or these type of bar and grill type restaurants with moderate prices. I had a few meetings here and service was great and was not loud so we could talk. I expect to come here often. I really wanted to like this place but everything just didn’t go well. The service wasn’t the best to the best to start off. I ordered a 8oz steak with a baked potato. The steak was rubbery and had no flavor at all. My baked potato was completely cold and the butter didn’t even melt. My wife ordered a French dip sandwich and the meat also had no flavor. Total our meals were $65 with only 2 meals, 2 drinks and 1 mozzarella stick appetizer. Way overpriced for everything we ordered. Probably not going to come here again.

Our server was Gibby. Initially it took a little while to be seen after sitting but then it was great. Gibby is very chill and has a great attitude. The spinach dip was awesome as an appetizer. The margaritas were very good and we got all of our food at a good pace on a Sunday. I talked with the manager, Franklin after and told him they are doing great things. Keep it up, we will be back.

AWESOMENESS!!! If I could give this place more stars I would. My family and I were visiting San Antonio on vacation and decided to check this place out because it was near our hotel.From the minute we arrived until we left we received excellent service!! The atmosphere was amazing that matched the VERY COOL DECOR of the place. Nice size bar area with several big screens throughout. Lots of variety on the menu and The Food was SUPERB. Our Hostess CATALINA and our waitress DAMARIS were crazy fun. This mom and daughter duo ABSOLUTELY made are evening❤ If we are ever in this town again we will definitely return!!

Manager, McKenzie and our server . Cynthia were amazing and gave excellent service. Even when our crabcakes were slightly undercooked, they went out of their way to make sure that it was replaced with something else, and also gave us a credit for another appetizer to redeem at another time, if it was great, service was great, and we would highly recommend this place. Sure to check out the happy hour from 9 to 11. Great prices and great drinks.

This place looked very promising during my search for places to eat. The atmosphere and seating are standard bar and grill type. I ordered the steak and rib plate and was very disappointed. I ordered my steak med-rare but arrived well-done. The ribs were falloff the bone and dry as sandpaper. My french fries and ole fashioned was the highlight of my meal. The waiting staff was very courteous and attentive, just wish I could remember my waitress' name to highlight the service that she gave. All and all, I would not be dining here again.

I enjoyed meeting with a buddy there to catch up. The waitress was a bit aloof, but the manager took excellent care of us when we pointed out the issue. Everyone has a off night once in a while. Service work is hard therefore I didn't think that docking this restaurant should be docked in my review. It is a great place to eat.

Checked in online, got there and was seated right away. Our server was fantastic and so was the food. The atmosphere is always great here and the table was the cleanest I've been seated at in the last few restaurants I've been to. Wonderful Sunday afternoon experience with Jay and brain Brian at the bar. Service was great.. Even had the manager walking around checking with everyone to make sure things were good. The appetizers were REALLY good and my grilled veggies were delicious but the main entrees, the steaks were average at best. We both asked for medium well, one was raw the other was well done.. One was supposed to be blackened, however, it has no season on it at all. If we go back, it will be for the appetizers.

I've been here a few times, and food is always good! The Filet Mignon was a perfectly medium rare temp. The scallops were good too, although I prefer mine seared a bit more but still delicious. I've been to actual steak houses, and sometimes it's a roll of the dice with the cook temps but they've always seem to get mine right over here. Whoever is manning the grill is definitely doing a good job. Keep it up!!

Grabbed an early lunch with my wife. The place was pretty quiet. We were seated quick the place was clean and waitress attentive. We started with the jumbo fried mushrooms. They were good and I really like the garlic cream cheese. I ordered the 54 ROCKET Q sandwich (pulled pork, brisket lightly) and my wife got the french dip substituting the cheese for cheddar. Both were very good but my wife didn't like the chees was sweaty and not melted.

Went to watch the Texas vs Tech game. The game was switch to another college game. Took awhile for them to switch it back. Our waitress disappeared for awhile after we got out appetizer. Then once we ordered, I asked for my burger well done with lettuce and tomato. It came back pink with no veggies. They took it back and when I got it back it was still pink. Waitress said she would get the manager to our table and nothing. Very dissatisfied!

I love this restaurant. We were here the day before Thanksgiving, and it wasn't overly busy. No wait. There are lots of tvs to watch the game. We sat at the bar. The food was very good, the service is excellent & my favorite drink was the New York .... sour, I believe. It's made with Woodford Reserve & topped off with a Cabernet. It was so delicious! I'd go back just for that drink.

This was my first visit to this 54th Street location by not my first time to 54th Street. I want to say I am impressed with this location and the friendliness of the staff, and the atmosphere. Girls night out and it went great! We had excellent service and the food was really good. We had the spinach artichoke pasta with chicken and shrimp the nachos beef and the salmon over the rice and onion rings. I ordered the shrooms but they were to salty for my taste, but nothing to be up in arms about.

The Jalapeno poppers have bacon, so that's a fair warning to vegetarians. The happy hour menu is fantastic though the draft section could be expanded. The fried pickles were just perfect and the wings, oh my. They are awesome. Service - fantastic

I said to the bartender I want the Sangaria from happy which was 6.00 and the red wine form happy hours which was 4.00 she said thats correct prices and And its happy hour until close on drinks and appetizers U stated the prices over and over to the server she said yes and when I get the bill its regular price you need to honor the other pricr that l said that is correct i can't believe that you would lie

It has been awhile since I had been here and the menu has changed so much I thought I was in a different restaurant. The food was great but I miss the variety of food that used to be available. Not sure if we will be back.

Chicken Fried Steak

We had an issue just now with receiving the wrong order through DoorDash (the dasher should’ve confirmed the order but I understand mistakes happen) but when I called the restaurant to ask that we don’t receive the food that has been waiting with my reorder, Frank was extremely nice and assured us the food would be fresh and the old food thrown out. Thank you guys for excellent customer service!

This place is something new. If you are looking for a place to hang out, eat, and just have a good time. Aubrey is a amazing waitress. She is very attentive to detail and keep you informed about your order. There is alot to choose from on the menu. Ask for help. They wont mind telling what they think is good. I had the (Devil's Den burger) super delicious! Paired with a long island ice tea.

The food was good here. Gina, was terrific! She looked after every detail, even the small ones. Customer service here is good too, most of the staff had a smile and a kind word, which is sadly rare nowadays. The food came out hot, the drinks were spot on and the cheesecake was delicious. Parking is tight, but there were plenty of spots.

Great food and great service on 8/24 at noon. The best part of the whole experience was Bryant! He constantly was attending to our every need. He was probably the best waiter I’ve ever dealt with. Hope the manager sees this-he really makes this restaurant! Also-our food was super good and fresh. We will Be back!

Like it was just take out but damn it was ready. It was packaged properly. It didn't leak out. It was hot and the staff was super friendly. Okay? sat at the bar at first. Bartender had the worse customer service halfass gave us a menu. Removed 2 glasses that were on the bar and left all the wetness on bar where I sat. Did not clean up. Piss poor attitude. I didn't stay at the bar. Sat in the dining area our server was great. She saved this this review from getting only 1 star. I would not recommend sitting at the bar.

I'm giving the restaurant 3 starts due to the flavor of the food. I got the avocado burger and it was not that good. I felt it needed more seasoning or condiments. Felt kinda plain. Fries were pretty good though, same with the mango iced tea. Nicely decorated just like other 54th St restaurants.

Ordered the RibEye medium rare to-go and it was delicious. Especially the Mashed Potatoes. I also was given an extra order by mistake. An avocado bacon burger with shells and cheese. It was also delicious. I called back to pay, but they refused. They were real nice. Ask for Mercedes to attend to you. She was nice and courteous. I will definitely come back again.

Waited a long time to get our food to go. Walked in, asked the lady up front and she said she would go check, she never came back. Had to ask someone else and it was sitting back there.

Our server Karina was so attentive. This had to be the Best Service we have ever had here at 54th street. We had a large group and she didn’t forget a thing. Food was good. The 2 for $30 sirloin had good flavor. I wasn’t too sure if it would be good but it was a great deal. Kids portions were great and my kids loved the food. Everything here was great!!!

Most of the staff at the bar are lackluster. They seem to take special care to keep their eyes averted and their heads turned slightly away to avoid customers. I love the happy hour margaritas. The appetizers are great. Customer service needs to be addressed. Maybe the management is lackluster, too?

It's ok. American food with a little twist. The decorations inside are nice. Prices may be too high for what it is. If you are looking for drinks and nice ambience is a good place. Their quesadillas are better than others.

I previously had a bad experience at a diffrent location. I finally made it back out to give it another try. It was Excellent! My waiter Gabriel was Awesome! Very attentive! His vibe was fun and very welcoming! The Food was on Point! The 54th street on Wurzbach will be my go to restaurant from now on! Great job! Excellent Service!

Not bad for a chain restaurant. I expected paltry food and mediocre service but was pleasantly surprised on the level of attentiveness we received. Great location and large menu. Food was tasty. Will return.

Take away was delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly and it was a healthy serving size, I just love to eat and over-eat... I suppose thats why I gave 4 stars because in Texas especially San Antonio im use to the big heavy servings, but this is definitely quality over quantity but sometimes I just want to stuff my face.

I had the steak soup based off my waitresses recommendation, she said something about how they changed up the cut of steak they used in it, and gott dang she was right that stuff was amazing.

Curbside takeout was really fast. Calamari was great. Chicken-fried steak was ok; the gravy was pretty watery. Asparagus side was nicely grilled, but they needed to cut/break off the really tough ends.

3/21/23 Food and service was great. However the hostess is awful. She is rude and doesn’t present a great look on the business when you first come in the door. This was my second time at this location and her demeanor was the same each time. I hope that she is taught what the importance of a hostess is.

This place was really good. Our waiter was very nice and the environment was pretty cool too I had the taco plate (I think that’s what it’s called) and it was just the right amount of food to fill me up without making me feel like overwhelmingly full. Would definitely recommend it.

Met up some folks for dinner. Solid choice, varied menu, and an awesome happy hour deal. Enjoyed a frozen margarita and their half soup, half rib sandwich option. The soup was decent but the sandwich was pretty good! For late night food and drinks I would definitely recommend.

Steaks seem to be select and not even choice; being a little chewy. Taste is good, just tuff. Shrimp is a bit bland but scallops are delicious.

We love this place! The bar and staff are amazing. Ask for a frozen mango margarita with Tajin or a Gin & Tonic, you will not be disappointed. One of our favorite dinners is the Caesar salad.... it's so good!! The calamari and boneless wings are also great.

Let's be honest, it's a chain restaurant. It ain't gonna get a Michelin star. But those margaritas and happy hour with some calamari? On a Wednesday afternoon after dealing with work Bs? Yes ma'am.

Out of all the 54th streets this one really hits the spot. Burger was perfectly cooked, fries nice and crisp, the ranch *chefs kiss*, and my unsweetened tea was the best aside from another fast food place I regularly visit. 10/10 stars

Top 5 places to eat in San Antonio. Service is always great. I have been there like 12 times now. I highly recommend ordering nachos, shrooms, and pastas. I have tried most of their food, but these three are top recommendations.

It gets props for decor and overall vibe of the restaurant. Fun atmosphere with lots to look at. Food was not noteworthy- the fried pickle spears where the best thing we had. I had a cheesesteak but I wouldn’t order it again.
