I parked at this garage for several hours today and when I went to pay at the elevator lobby kiosk, it returned a magnetic strip error. I tried again several times at that kiosk, turning the card around, inserting it quickly and slowly, without success. I assumed that it was a problem with that kiosk, so I went and got my car to drive down to pay at the exit kiosk. The same problem occurred at that kiosk. If my card were older and worn out, and if I were having similar problems using the card elsewhere, I would simply accept that I need to order a new card, but the fact that this happened at two kiosks in the same facility and that my card worked fine during several subsequent transactions at other locations would suggest to me that these kiosks are not working properly... Next, I pressed the Help button and spoke with an operator who told me that there are no other means to pay for parking at this garage than at those two kiosks, and with a card, in person. (She said that they couldn't process my card over the phone, either.) At that point, my options were very limited; leave without paying and later be fined, or wait for someone to come help me. You might say, "well, why don't you have a backup card in case your primary card doesn't work?" Although many people carry more than one card that they can use if another isn't readable, I do not, because I don't want to. I believe that I shouldn't feel obligated to have multiple credit/debit cards if I choose to minimize my part in increasing the profits of an industry that conducts itself in a morally dubious fashion, to put it euphemistically. For that purpose, I always carry some cash as a backup, which suffices 99% of the time. I willingly admit that this exact outcome is possible because I have made that choice, but I also think that this situation puts the operator of the garage in a position to profit from the poor functioning of their card reader kiosks. To avoid making any seemingly libelous accusations when I have no proof of malice, I will not speculate on whether the functioning state of these machines is intentional or incidental, but I would suggest to the owners of this facility that they have their kiosks adjusted or repaired as necessary, because they are clearly not capable of processing cards that are demonstrably functional otherwise. In addition, I would suggest that if they are able to afford to have someone driving around the garage in a golf cart, keeping track of the plates on cars, that that person's duties could also include being in the exit booth to process cards manually. And if you think that the fault in this situation lies with the customer not being prepared to accommodate the improper operation of the garage's kiosks, I would argue that the burden lies with the owners, at least if they would like to have repeat customers. I'm not posting this because of any inconvenience I experienced, because it was ultimately a minor problem, and a kind stranger later paid for my parking in exchange for cash. I'm offering my experience as a warning to others, so that hopefully this doesn't happen to someone else and because it might help anyone reading this know that they can always choose to do business with a different company that is more accommodating of its customers.

DO NOT PARK HERE! Awful parking garage, a total scam. Should be 0/5 stars if that was possible. The machines are always broken and customer service takes a minimum of 30+ minutes to respond and they refuse to admit their machines are broken and force you to pay their $45 lost ticket fee. When I entered the garage no ticket was dispensed at the first machine and yet the gates open. I tried to call customer service but no one answered to assist, I had an appointment I needed to be on time for so I just parked. Then upon leaving (I was there for less than an hr) their customer service agent Dawn was very rude and unwilling to hear what happened and threatened me with the fact that I either have to pay the $45 lost ticket fee or she'll give me a parking ticket.

This is where Hilton Seattle has you to park during a stay. I had several issues with ticket due to the LAZ parking staff or systems and the on-site attendants are not helpful. I spent about 30 mins trying to exit the structure with a validated Hilton inn and out privilege ticket, and the ticket was verified to be in the LAZ system 2x by Hilton staff as I had to go back to the lobby and and get a new ticket per directions of LAZ attendant. My Fiancé and I missed our dinner reservations at Pink Door bc of this extra time to exit. My experience with LAZ attendant on 12/1 from 7:55 to 8:30 was enough for me to never stay at the Hilton again. Also spaces are very small which causes cars to park over lines and eliminates about 1 -4 space per floor.

I paid for parking in advance (13.20) and scanned my entry into the lot without issues. However, when leaving, my phone unfortunately had run out of charge and I was unable to scan to out. The LAZ parking attendant advised me to press ‘lost ticket’ (49.00) and assured me it’d be returned. One week later, several phone calls, emails, and conversations- it looks like I won’t be getting 49 back. Unscrupulous operation.

They put out a sign that states in large print "Event Parking, $25 ALL DAY" only to state in fine print that it's actually only 3 hours and the price changes after that. No one can reasonably see that while driving and frankly that is scummy and underhanded practices. I have no idea how the city allows them to continue with such practices. Also, in what world is 3 hours "all day"? Ridiculous and shameful...

Not a great experience at this lot. While booking ahead online was easy and my QR code worked to scan for entry/exit, when we arrived the spots were TINY, and only 3 spots were left where everyone else had parked over the lines and couldn't fit. Wasted money and just had to find another lot down the street.

Do not park here. We paid $50 and had our windows smashed in. There were at least 3 other cars with their windows smashed as well. The company has failed to answer their phone or email and their voicemail box is conveniently full.

Horrible!!!!!! Run away from this Godforsaken place. I hate it. It is stupid, dump and confusing. They let you in make you pay but there is no available parking. I would rather park in Hell. Do not trust this evil parking garage.

DO NOT PARK HERE!!! You've been warned! It's supposed to have a 24 hour attendee. It does not. A whole garage full of cars trapped in here because the machine is not working, there's no attendant and there's no number to call!!!

James Daly probably has the worst customer service I've ever seen. There's a promo code I have that he ignored and made up a new term of the promo code that is not detailed anywhere.

As I pulled into this garage, the arm was up. They charged me $50 for my “lost ticket”. Seems to me a dirty way to make money.

Machine was broken so I parked and I was forced to pay a lost ticket fee which is $45 unbelievable. Will not park here again

  • tamara storie

Oddly decrepit. Literal holes in the walls and crumbling stairs. Convenient payment method though -- that's the one star.

The sign stated $24 event parking - the Seattle Garden Show. We did the show - 6 hrs 32 minutes. Cost $36 ! Not again

  • Audrey Ames

Scammed me and my family. Bought prepaid parking would not scan it so had to purchase another parking pass.

W.A.C. or Hilton visitors: Do not park here. Park at 401 Union Street for $35 overnight in a safe garage.

  • Deanna Burt Tally
