What a scam. Parked here instead of another place because we were going to Target anyway & you got two hrs free parking (with $20 Target purchase) - win win. Except when we tried to exit, our receipt wouldn’t allow the discounted first two hours.... we went back into the store to get help - they reprinted a parking receipt.... we tried again.... nothing. We found a car park attendant who was less than pleasant...needed the parking ticket to even talk to us ... mm, ok. There were two of us - one staying in the busy line to pay at the machine and one to talk to the attendant..... we provided the parking ticket and she then said just drive through. What?? She yelled at us shooing is away saying just drive through. Now our time in the garage (after 15 minutes of trying to get the machine to work, get new receipts and attendant help had bumped us into the next time slot (an $11 difference in fee) which did not even ALLOW for a free two hours in Target..... we went into target for help. The young lady from Target was super helpful BUT the parking part was out of Target’s hands.....she told us other people had had issues that day too with the machines not accepting the ‘receipts’ and tried to explain that to the parking attendant. The attendant was argumentative as all get out and said too bad, we were over the limit for a discount from Target anyway so here’s your ticket, pay the fee. We wouldn’t be over the time limit if we had received her help to begin with! The fee was supposed to be $7 (with the Target discount) but I was getting charged $28 - I wasn’t complaining about a few bucks - that’s a significant difference. I know many places like this parking garage are family run and if that’s the case then my suggestion to anyone parking here, is to make sure you leave WITHIN 2 hours (maybe even 1:45hrs to give yourself enough time for potential issues)..... if the woman was an employee, she needs better CS skills in explaining what she could or couldn’t help us the FIRST time we asked for assistance. Giving people an attitude because you think you have the power over someone is pathetic - ‘Too Bad - pay your bill!‘ is a poor way to speak to customers and now Target is associated with that bad experience. Am cancelling my order for the large TVs we were coming back for with the truck - can order them from many other places.
The garage was fine, entrance/exit was fine. Remember to bring your ticket, or you'll have to walk around to the side of the building, walk up the ramp to the second floor, then use the elevator. Nothing horrible tho. Nice views too from the garage actually. Only thing that really upset me was the INCREDIBLY rude person on the intercom while leaving. I used SpotHero to book my parking, and part of the process is to call the attendant, provide the code, and your ticket number. She was SUPER SUPER rude and had an incredibly awful attitude. She asked for my ticket number, and I gave her the exact same code twice. She then yelled and grunted that I was not giving her the correct number. I directly said "Hey, I have given you the code twice, let me give it to you a third time, and perhaps you can give less attitude when you don't listen" she then got the code for the third time and said "bye" and opened the gate. Not sure which call center they use, or if its outsourced, but something this lot should consider.
Horrible horrible horrible. Our parking ticket was defective, and wouldn't work to open the garage door. We called security to tell them we were locked out, and they told us to wait until tomorrow to come get our car even though it was within operating hours and we were in from out of town and had nowhere to go. We would have been stranded if someone else hadn't come by who happened to have a working ticket. When we got inside there were several security guards who could have easily let us in, but they pretended not to be there. Our paid ticket ALSO didn't open the garage door....
On Dec. 17th we parked on the 6th floor; our car was backed in so the trunk would not have been clearly visible to anyone driving in even if it had been open a bit, we don't believe it was. We were parked from approximately 1:00 - 5:30 p.m. We had nothing visible in the car but had backpacks, etc. in the trunk. Several items were stolen from our trunk that belonged to my out-of-town relatives while we were gone. Nice welcome to Seattle for them! I have called the garage and asked if they picked up anyone on their surveillance camera and am waiting for a response.
Terribly designed parking structure. Only two slow moving elevators, one of which was out of service, and for some inane reason the staircase is exit only - meaning if you want to get to your car and not wait twenty minutes in a line for the elevator with everyone else after a show lets out, you have to walk along the narrow driving path with no designated pedestrian space through the structure with all of the cars that are trying to leave. Avoid this garage and park further away. You'll be walking the same distance anyway.
Garage is physically fine, a bit tight, but fair pricing and very well located. Two stars because the day I was there one of the machines was broken, so after the show next door ended it took very nearly an hour for the sixth floor to get out of the garage. They had to have known the machine was broken because there were cones set up. Why they didn't then have a person there to help run a second line of cars out, or help people who had trouble with the working machine is beyond me.
Parked here with a $10 flat rate sign out front. I ended up losing my ticket and they are trying to charge me $32. The attendant had an attitude, as did the person at their phone number. Neither wouldn't sort it, so I guess they deal with American Express when I dispute the charge. I've parked here a couple times, but never again. It's a bit dingy and inconvenient since their staircases are exit only and elevators are slow.
Machine wouldn't read my card, and had to get a physical ticket. Attendant told me to give it a few days for it to enter the system. I checked 3 days later; nothing. 1 week; nothing. 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4, weeks; nothing. I eventually assumed that it had been omitted. 2 months later I got a $76 ticket for failing to pay it. Terrible system, cruddy machines, service is mediocre
Credit card piggy back appears to be happening at this garage. Our card was first captured (not returned), had to get attendant to get back, then used a different card to pay$11 (hacked, fraudulent charges w/in hour). Turned out first card charged too, $25, overcharged, double charged!! This happened 9/30 about 8:30pm Check your credit card!! charges!!! 8:30 pm.
While I've used a few parking garages while visiting anywhere around Pike Place, I use this one most consistently. Just my own experience, of course, but I've never had a problem with entry, exit, paying. It'll be about the rate you pay anywhere else near the market, so that is what it is! I even rather like the view from the top of the garage.
They locked the doors from the staircase to all the higher levels when I tried to get back to the car, so I had to wait for the single elevator (the other one was broken) to get to my level. It was frustrating to go up the stairs only to find that the doors were locked and then go all the way back down.
I parked my car at republic parking to have lunch at the fish market and when I returned my windows had been smashed and my laptop was stolen. I called the garage to ask about security tapes and they put me on hold for 10 mins before finally hanging up on me.
QUALITY! So close the Pike Place Market. We went on a Saturday, stayed 4 hours and paid $10. In pretty sure it was only $10 for the day. Our card wasn’t going through and the support at the pay machine was so good (it was an us issue).
I've parked in this garage many, many times over the years with no issues. But 5/20 I was charged $24 for an $11 evening park with no way to contest it, and I had to pay up in order to get out. Unacceptable.
I was charged $33 for parking here for 5 hours on a Saturday - from 8pm till 1am. So much for the "$11 - flat rate all weekend" cost they advertise on their site and on the signs!! Ridiculous.
There are many druggies in the area. About 7 cars on several floors were broken into on a Sunday evening. A more secure garage is worth the extra money. This garage is mostly unattended.
No scooter or motorcycle parking allowed / possible based on phone call to them. I personally don't support garages that don't have competitive pricing or support for scooters.
Dirty, and poorly lit and tight turning radiuses; I would be somewhat apprehensive if I had a long vehicle, like a truck with an extended bed. Parking spaces are narrow, too.
If i could give a 0 I would. We parked our car and come back to the gate locked. Never heard of a parking garage closing. Now, we have to pay for a 24 hr ticket! Thank you!!
A huge thank you to the kind, diligent, and honest parking attendant who found and returned a wallet we lost in the garage. You're a gentleman and a hero, sir!
Solid parking; doesn't provide beds or food for the homeless. Don't be annoying and complain about homelessness if you're doing nothing about it
Never had any issues here. Only complaint is the elevator is slow. Called attendant to enter code and they were fast and friendly. No issues.
Quick in and out. Entrance and exit can be challenging based upon traffic but well kept and have bicycle/scooter fenced secure storage. Nice.
It's okay for the price; I suggest parking here if you have a concert at the nearby venue as it is open later than the Pike place garage
Good lot. Very inexpensive, reserved in advance through an app and it worked perfect. 2 blocks from Pike Place. Very secure parking.
Only good thing about this place is the view if you get high enough. Horrible attendants and most of the time smells or urine.
I really appreciate this parking garage. Open late via ticket access elevator. My go-to spot when needing to park downtown.
Cheap easy weekend weekend rates just a couole blocks from pikes place market and the great wheel with on site security.
