We travelled from Dallas, TX to San Diego after a two year break (due to Jazzfest cancellation in 2020, then COVID hit). This location was very close to the hotel, and I made an online reservation from 7/9-7/13. The parking garage was clean and well lit. It felt secure. Jessie Lynn guided us to the correct entrance and was very friendly about it. I met Valerie at the gate, and explained that it was our first time at the parking garage. Valerie was super friendly and patient with my questions. I spoke with Jordan in the office, and he was extremely helpful, since there was no actual record of me paying for the whole stay, and only for 7/9. He made a note of it, and we agreed that if there were any problems, to stop by the next day at the office. We parked and went to our room for the evening. The next day I went to the office, and explained what had happened the previous evening. I had questions about the additional daily fees, and how it would be most economical in planning our days for in/out purposes and best times of day/night to make best use of the parking garage. The gentleman who I was speaking with was very patient with my questions, and provided courteous responses, even though there was another customer waiting outside the office. The Operations Manager, David, opened his door and understood my confusion. He explained the process, the rate structure, and then made certain accommodations to "take the stress" off of our vacation. David and his crew were very welcoming and made me feel like a valued customer! We ran into Jessie Lynn a few times when we went to the parking garage, and it felt good that she recognized me. This was a great first experience and I highly recommend this location! Thank you all!
Arrived at the 6th & K PARKADE parking structure 4/10/22, at approx 13:43. I parked on the 2nd floor (next to the elevators) for an overnight stay. When arriving to my vehicle on 4/11/22, at approx 8:30am, noticed items on the ground next to my car and noticed that my passenger side doors were left open. I then noticed that my glove compartment had been emptied out and things were thrown around inside the interior of my car. After looking at the rear of my car, to see what was missing, observed that my speaker box and speakers were taken, along with my car insurance paper work, garage opener, sunglasses (and other misc. items) I then reported incident to the parking attendant on duty (Donna) and also left a report w/ the security person on duty (David) at the parking structure. NOTE: There's a camera directly next to where the incident occurred on the 2nd floor (see pic attachments), so the theft incident is definitely captured on video surveillance They told me in order to retrieve the video footage of the incident, I would need to file police report. UPDATE: I completed the police report accordingly, and it’s now been 3 months and still no updates or status regarding the theft of my property, as promised by: David Vega-Beltran Area Manager - San Diego Commercial Operations – he last stated, 3 months ago after incident occurred, “My team will be reviewing the footage, however we cannot release footage to anyone outside Law Enforcement for this matter.” We appreciate your understanding.”
Security guard was extremely, extremely patronizing today towards me over a simple mistake. Ive never used this parking structure, and simply needed a bit of help using the automated exit after I had previously paid at the cash parking machine and forgotten my receipt in the machine. Parking was a singular dollar, which I offered to pay a second time directly to the guard because I felt bad at inconveniencing her. I could not back out due to a car pulled up behind me, waiting to leave. She rolled her eyes multiple times in my face when I offered to pay her the extra dollar for parking so she would not have to walk the few feet back to the machine, and loudly complained. In reality, the only inconvenience I asked was for her to get out of her chair and press a button to open the gate. I hope she doesn’t have something also going on that’s causing her to be so rude to guests asking for help, and if she does I genuinely hope things get better soon. I’m a college student in the middle of finals season and unfortunately everyone gets a bit more forgetful when they’ve had no sleep! Adding an extra star as I know I made a mistake too.
Unethical Practices: Prepaying for a spot does NOT reserve a spot. We prepaid for a spot on a Friday night before a Padres game. Planned our arrival based on having the spot reserved. Willing to pay a premium for safe, close parking for my wife and daughter to attend the game. When they arrived shortly before the game the attendant told them they were full. Despite having a prepaid spot they were told repeatedly, "Read the fine print, you are not guaranteed a spot." So we have to go online to request a refund. Then the girls are late to the start of the game because we now have to find new parking. This company's practices might not rise to the level of technical fraud but it is certainly unethical. I encourage anyone to forgo this business and find someone else to give your money to.
Parking is closed to many attractions in the area. petco park, convention centre and about 10-15 walk to seaport village. Lot advertise $1/hr parking, but it's misleading, confusing. Ex. We parked on Sunday from 1.19pm to 3.21pm. If my math is correct, it's just over 2hrs, but was charged 4hr. Even if they round off to nearest hr it should be $3. Only thing I can think of is the hr rate starts on the hr and rounds off to nearest hr. I'm sure most won't care about an extra $ here or there but that's how they make more money. Seems sneaky for a business. No where on their website explains this as far as I can tell.
Don't park here for Padres games unless you plan on leaving early. It's difficult to enter and exit due to pedestrians and cars cluttering the streets. It could take you over an hour to exit this structure after a game and there will be extreme gridlock after exiting onto 7th Avenue. Better to park in a surface lot at 1st and Island, then walk a few extra blocks to the stadium.
Cheap, but DOES smell like pee. Maybe if I drove all the way to the top floor? Only guess is that they are skimping on water due to drought & cost increases in water & labor. Staff not horrible, but attitudes not stellar either. I get that job pays poorly & has high turnover & that this is probably a higher traffic lot than most.
Horrible!!!!!!! They don’t watch your car ! Plenty of issues with rude service I’m never parking here and spreading the word of how bad it is! Park at own risk but security cant do anything about stuff ! Useless least y’all can do is have good customer service! Might as well not spend ur money and risk on the streets !
Parked here at 11am and enjoyed the day in Gaslamp before a 5:30 concert. Left the parking structure at 11:30pm and only had to pay $12 for parking. Recommend getting here early before they close off the structure and charge the $15 flat rate for special events.
Cheapest parking in downtown, maybe cheaper than meters. Unless there is a game. $20 for a game, otherwise $1 an hour. 5 levels of parking, elevators or stairs. On-site security by Elite security, no homeless, does NOT smell like urine, good size parking spots.
Don’t pay for monthly parking it’s not worth it. During the games they won’t open anything up for you and make you wait in line with everyone for the baseball games when you don’t even need to pay to exit because you pay an insane amount for monthly parking.
excellent parking lot, 24 hours parking, plenty of elevators clean. Close to Petco stadium, convention center, restaurants, pubs, and hotels. Hotel parking can cost you an arm and an a leg, Ace are very reasonable, as long as your not going in and out.
This place is close to PetCo Park and cheap, but get there early for games. If you arrive late, you'll be stuck in horrible traffic only to find out it's full. It also takes quite a while to exit after games, so the time you save in
I've been parking here for quiet some time now and fortunate enough to say that I've never had issues. Reasonable price and friendly staff. I would recommend it. It's also at the edge of the heart of San Diego which works well!
Priced well. No misadventures. It's a garage. Car left for 4 days. It was in same condition when we returned at the end of our stay. Less than half the cost of hotel parking. Elevator seemed reasonably clean. Very pleased.
I always park here for the baseball games the parking is usually $15-$20, and it's across the street from the stadium. The last game we went to we paid $15. cheaper parking then the other garages/ lots which are $20+.
Parking staff not the friendliest. Location is great but they talk to you as if everyone around is drunk and I was 100% sober and the designated driver. No need to yell guys, just point me in the right direction.
The sensors at both the entrance and exit need improvement. These sensors don't work well 90% of the time. I cannot think of a reason for them to work flawlessly. It's a hassle when you enter or exit the facility
I spent the night in San Diego and the hotel was close to this parking. I have a EV car and I cannot believe that in the parking there is no Electric charger. To me, this is incredible today in California.
We went to Petco Park to see the Dodgers play the Padres and had a great time. We only payed $1 per hour at this parking garage, so definitely a great place to park if you’re there to see the game.
I always park here when staying in San Diego. The overnight rate is so much cheaper than all the hotels in Gas Lamp. It’s safe and secure and short walk to all the major hotels. Highly recommend.
Great place to park. Was staying at a hotel nearby and was charged great overnight rates, even on a Padres game day. Very much recommend parking here. First night was $15 and second was $12.
It's a parking structure... don't expect much, and you'll love it! The price is GREAT! and the place is well maintained. Centrally located, will use this lot every time we visit the Gaslamp.
Can't beat their prices for the downtown convenience without skimping on 24/7 security. Highly recommend this place over parking at any of the nearby hotels based overall value.
It's a scam. They tell you 15 for the whole day and then when you exit they charge you 18 dollars so you pay 33 for a whole day never going back there's better places anyways
One of the best parking spots for a baseball game at Petco park. It's cheaper than most of the other parking near Petco but on the weekends it gets crowded very early.
Decent facility, but pricing is confusing, advertised daily maximum was $15. I parked at 6:43pm on Saturday night left the next morning at 10:03am, got charged $18.
Safe and secure! The employees and very helpful. To top it off, this one is the better priced one for the area! Thank you, you made my trip more enjoyable …
Pretty much one of the closes parking garage to petco park, been to about 6games all in this garage and I've hade zero issues. Cost is reasonable at around 15$.
Cheap, reasonably priced parking for downtown. Great location for Petco Park or for just hanging out in the Gaslamp district. I felt safe leaving my car there.
One of the cheaper parking options in the gaslight district. Bring your ticket with you as they want you paying prior to leaving the garage. Not too bad.
Very good choice. I spent $15.00 for almost 6hrs. Its a building, entrance at Sixth Ave. Next to Petco Park and walking distance to Convention Center.
Hotels in the local area parking is so expensive (ours was $60 a night valet only) and we parked here for $16 overnight. Safe and close the gaslamp
Cool parking place with reasonable pricing. For Saturday it was $10 to park. This is really good considering how expensive it is to park downtown.
If you are looking for long term monthly parking try to avoid this one. Absolutely MISERABLE trying to get in and out during Padres games.
My go-to parking spot. Most of the time the rates are reasonable and there's always a spot to park. Well... except during comic con..
Most of the time is pretty secure. I have seen homeless hanging out in the stairs well while security is playing with his phone.
Best spot to park at for Padre games! $15 on most days, right across the park can’t get any better …
Great large multi story covered prkg garage that's well secured close to Dwntown Gas Lamp hotels in San Diego!
Ideal parking location for gaslamp area and for the baseball. $15 a day max. Good value.
3:30pm on Tuesday and the lot was full. Not sure how one is supposed to visit the area
We stayed at the Omni hotel. Great place to park. Never more than $15. Kind staff too!
Advertised at $30 for the evening. When it was time to pay, they charged me $60.
Great place to park if you are going to Rady Shell. Easy in and easy out.
Elevator is unavailable, so dont park here if you're handicapped.
Only place I trust to park my car at. Also, wonderful stuff.
Great place to park for a San Diego Padres game.
Excellent customer service and great prices.
Favorite place to park for Padres game!
Best spot to park in all of downtown!
