The shopping experience was very very disappointing. The lady was not bothered to talk to us at all. When I asked for some ideas regarding balancing bikes, she went inside and came back with a box saying this is what you want. I even did not know what it looked like. Then I asked for one of the balancing bikes on display, she just grabbed it to let my daughter have a try. My daughter liked it so I said we will buy this one. She was very very impatient and asked me to hand the bike back for scanning, then payment, and then nothing else. I was surprised as I was expecting something with a proper tax invoice, instructions, warranty etc, or at least some packaging. When I asked for that, she replied very rudely that's the only one available and everything is standardized (warranty etc). She said you would have the invoice via email (which has not come through either, not surprising). I did not want to argue with her in the shop in front of my little kid. But spending $200 to have a second-hand look (very dirty) balancing bike without any document is definitely NOT the way a professional sales should have treat her customers. During the 10 minutes shop, she told me at least 3 times to stay still (away from counter/warehouse) in a very rude way which made me feel like I was about to steal something from her. Could not hide the disappointment and hopefully I do not need to see her ever again. This is absolutely the worst shopping experience ever.

Unfortunately I had some issues after purchasing a lock online for click and collect only to drive there from Bundeena and be told they didn’t have the lock. I then paid for the lock to be sent from another store via express post on the Monday. By Thursday I still hadn’t received the lock (a specific brand) which was a requirement from the bike insurer to ensure $7500 e-bike was covered etc. It was obvious that a staff member hadn’t done their job properly. Thankfully George was able to rectify the issue. Thursday afternoon after 2pm George organised another lock to be express posted (listed as approved by the insurer). Not only did he arrange for the lock to be delivered he upgraded me to a far superior lock at no extra cost to me, and the lock was received 11am the following morning. Once again thank you George for your professional and prompt support it is really appreciated.

I went down to the Carlton Shop around 3pm Sunday today, and was so pleased, because Mitch in the Service department had just finished a job, and was able to fit me in straightaway. I did bring my own replacement tube and brake pads, but decided to ask Mitch to provide me a new chain, because I was so pleased to get the e-bike fixed in the same day. So Mitch replaced my punctured tube in my back tire, then replaced both my bikes brake pads, even replaced the chain all in around 15 minutes, and only 74 bucks total. I was just blown away at the excellent 5 star service at this store, and getting my bike fixed in the same day, while I wait. Great job guys !! Thanks Mitch! I rode my bike home with a big smile on my face. :)

Andrew and the team offer fantastic service and product knowledge. Dropped in with my road bike purchased 10 months ago to ask a few questions. Andrew spent about an hour providing advice, refitting my bike and making adjustments with one of the bike mechanics. The bike’s performance has improved hugely, and I’m so much more comfortable and balanced on the bike also. I recommend them to everyone, and personally won’t go anywhere else. My love of cycling has increased significantly because of the advice, service, bikes and products that Andrew and the team provide. Visited 99 Bikes Carlton last Saturday afternoon with my son as he dropped his bike on the derailleur and couldn't select gears. We arrived unannounced so at best expected to leave the bike there until the guys had the time to look at it. But Dario immediately got stuck into it had the bike working 100% within 30 minutes. He was super helpful with his incredible service and his advice. Many thanks to Dario. But the service and sales team at 99 Bikes Carlton has always been brilliant no matter who we've been helped by. We are so happy with store manager Nick and his team at 99 Bikes Carlton. With lockdown looming, we decided to reach out to Nick after having a great experience buying a helmet 6 months earlier at their Bondi Store. We purchased three bikes, they had everything we needed in stock. They took the time to explain their 30 swap policy and fitted all the accessories to our bikes. They even helped play Tetris loading them into our car. I highly recommend anyone looking for a decent experience to stop in and see them, ask for Nick. Make sure you become a member, they have different level of pricing discounts.

The only reason you have this rating is because of your mechanic out back. I didn't catch his name but very knowledgeable and crafty mechanic. Sales team out the front; more or less did everything wrong in trying to get a sale out of me. I was already committed to a list, which is what I was fumbling for at the register. Asked a simple question and I was attacked from every angle, 3/4 desk jockeys all had to have their opinion. Sales team gets negative 3 stars. The 5 staff on and only staff member of value is out back. Make sure he is the one you put the sale through.

Very good service, from the sales rep to the mechanic. My bike was booked in for a brake repair and when I dropped it off the mechanic put it on the work stand and went over the bike before I left. He found that I needed a new chain, cassette, brake pads so I also bought a medium service. While he was bleeding my brakes he found a frayed gear cable and replaced my cables also. When I picked the bike up went over all the work he'd done and readusted the brake lever pressures to how I liked them. I feel the bike is very safe and reliable.

Had the worst experience today at the store. Came in to buy a Goodyear Eagle F1 and asked them to price match Ccache and the guy flat out refused even though their website states that they have a best price guarantee policy. After going back and forth I had enough and asked to speak to his manager. The manager agreed to do the price match which was a good outcome however left a bad experience. Why have a price match policy at all of your staff are so rude about it? Next time just go straight to Ccache and save your time and money.

Restored an old Rd bike and it's a beaut now. These guys are awesome super friendly staff and very fast service. Also has adapted for covid. Great to see you guys doing well 2 years on update: I have taken my bike there for everything I've needed. Adam and Ana are two of the best staff that are always happy to answer my barrage of newbie questions. Always happy to help think of creative out of the box ideas as sometimes I am not able to go with the better more expensive option. These two really know their stuff!

Friendly and helpful staff, always very approachable and helpful. Special shout out to Jackson and the team who handled the delivery and build of my BMC team machine. Hassle free price match, always great communication and fast dispatch/build for items. Only area of improvement is the website UX, it's a bit clunky and needs and refresh. The check stock feature doesn't work very well and there are a number of glitches when trying to set delivery addresses for online orders. In store experience is otherwise great.

I have nothing but great things to say about the guys here, esp Dario, Ana and George. Dario has been a legend at maintaining my bike and giving me the opportunity to change my own bike tyres just to ensure I'm doing it right. Thank you too to Ana and George who have been really helpful with advice when I was there shopping for lights and a new bike for a friend I recently introduced to cycling. My Avanti mtb n Merida rb couldn't be any happier.

I placed an order on 22 January for a mountain bike on 99 Bikes online. I chose the “Pick and Collect” option in order to get it faster. The website promised to have my bike ready by the first of February, however, I still haven’t received it. I’ve tried to contact them a few times but haven’t been able to get any answers. Can you please look into this and help me find out what is causing the delay?

Great service on my road bike from Adam at 99Bikes Carlton. He and others on the team talked through different options with me, were patient with my questions and gave some solid advice. Have been able to book in at short notice without a problem. Definitely will be heading back here for my regular servicing. Highly recommend. The team on the retail side were also super friendly and helpful.

I went into the store yesterday to buy some shoes, pedals and clothing. I was served by Andrew who I must say was an absolute professional from start to finish as he recommended sizing for my clothing, shoes and my pedals. I can’t give him more stars than 5 otherwise he deserves 10 stars. I’d highly recommend him and the store to everyone looking for any bike or cycling accessories.

Pretty disappointed. I bought a Garman product here which failed in under a year. When I went in to see if they could help me under warranty, they refused and pointed me to using Garmin’s online system instead. Wasted trip to the shop and I have to administer it myself now, may as well just purchase stuff online in future.

Great service. Took bike back to shop nearly 12 months after purchase after rear wheel spokes were breaking. No problem to 99 Bikes, Carlton! No argument. Wheel replaced with a brand new wheel within 24 hours. Serviceman Alex, bike mechanic was fantastic and a credit to the company. Thoroughly recommend 99 Bikes, Carlton.

Very well presented store equipped with a large variety of bikes matched gor every occasion, and they are quality products at reasonable prices. Location is also wonderful as it is located on the main road and is close to many places and transport making it convenient to get there.
