This gym has been recommended to me for a few years now, finally took the plunge and checked it out as my gym is closing down... the vibe is the best aspect! Just raw hard training environment. I have been reluctant to change gyms for years as I am so fussy... but I cant say it bothers me, this gym is well worth going to. Power-lifting corner is spot on, pretty used and abused, but does what it is meant to do. Doing a few days this week to check out how busy it is during rush hours, but can guarantee i'll be joining regardless, and work my routine against the 5pm rush if need be. It is hard to find a decent bodybuilding gym nowadays, this one shines! Staff are friendly and welcoming also, cant fault a single thing.

My husband and I have been visiting this gym on and off since it first opened. I would describe it as a proper 'man's gym' as its mainly weights, no classes, less than 10 running machines, a few bikes/cross trainers etc which for me and my hubby suits us perfectly. I would agree that its not the cleanest of gyms and unfortunately not everyone follows the rules of putting the weights back when finished so you can end up spending a while looking for the other 10kg weight... I do however Like the PAYG system at only a fiver and the membership costs are good too. Would definitely recommend it

Good equipment however the gym itself is cramped, dirty and the roof has been leaking for years. Advice to owners: stop trying to sell your overpriced merchandise to members and spend some of that increased monthly membership income on fixing the damn roof. Getting dirty water dripped on your head while leg pressing is not enjoyable.

if you like clinically clean and posh gym, that ain't for you. This is a gym with great equipment. It's not the 2016 version of each machines but if you are there to train seriously and no fuss about the latest machine or ergonomic seat, you will love it. Proper BB and fintess addict. Very small cardio area

Good gym for equipment variety. Just make sure you handwrite in your notice to cancel as cancelling direct debit on your own is not enough. The debit collection agency will still request payments and add surcharges of £15 per reminder which made my final experience a bad one.

I've been going since December 2022, good gym overall, good machines, heavy enough dumbbells. Staff don't have much of personality or have basic customer service and Leaky roof. Space isn't utilised properly, everything seems to be jammed in.

Good variety of equipment but the gym is filthy, has a leaking roof, members leave their weights on the bars or all over the floor. Don’t be lazy and put your equipment away! Staff should be enforcing this and calling people out.

Worst gym in essex. Arrogant staff at the reception pick favourites with members and treat most new members like they’re just a number. Genuinely unfriendly and pompous. It’s just a gym, it won’t hurt to be polite!

I have been using this gym for the past year nearly. I have been to multiple chain gyms and this gym blows them out of the water, great atmosphere and equipment. Everything you need for a good session.

Friendly staff and atmosphere, often busy but loads of equipment can train as a non member for £5 a workout, I like this gym probably the best most practical gym locally if your serious about gains!.

If you want to train, this is the place. If you want somewhere to do more, then a leisure centre is probably best. I'd recommend this place for anyone who wants to train hard and put on muscle.

Has every piece of equipment you can think of and a great atmosphere. Sometimes let down by the receptionists not opening up on time in the mornings but can't fault the gym experience at all.

The good: A lot of machines (quite a lot that are hard to find anywhere) and loads of free weights. The bad: Space is limited and no one seems to put equipment back so the floor

If they cleaned it maybe once a year it would be at least 4 stars. Gym is excellent if you're not too into cardio but it's dirty as hell.

It's so dirty It's unbelievable and the roof leaks a bit only go because it's close to me but it's extremely dirty

Best gym around, friendly helpful staff and the members all get along well. Wouldn't go anywhere else
