Service was very poor. We booked a table. The staff were unfriendly and kept rushing us to finish our meal. Asked for a dish without onions and garlic and were served dish with onion. Halfway through the meal the lady came with the eftpos machine and asked to get paid and asked that we need to pay now. As my daughter was finishing her meal at 945 the lady came over and said we are now closed. I was annoyed as this was the third time she said that since serving the meal. I asked her if we can take our food in the car and she gave me an annoyed look. My dad had gone to use the toilet and we were waiting outside and they locked him in. I knocked on the door to tell my dad was inside and the staff saw me and kept ignoring me. Would not recommend due to service I have visited them on numerous occasions as it was out favourite Thai but the service in the past few times has been appalling. Will not return

We have been going here for years and for some time we have been going every 3 weeks as a large group. We have always loved the place and the food. However we had a negative experience, for the first time ever, a couple of weeks back (more attention and priority to take away, refusing to do cocktails after they had taken the order 30 mins before, wrong dishes and then over charging and becoming argumentative when we pointed their mistake out), but thought it might be a one off so gave it another try tonight. Unfortunately it was no better this time. The food came out progressively over the space of an hour. Mains coming out with starters, two people’s mains completely forgotten and over 40 mins after the rest of the group had eaten. Noodles were chewy, one dish was doused in watery sauce. Some food never came out at all. No real care or acknowledgment. Won’t bother now.

I prefer Hornsby Absolute Thai above this one. I ordered a tom yum soup, chicken satay and papaya salad today. The food was ok, but I felt like the food was less tasty than Hornsby's. The soup tasted like it was missing a key spice/ingredient that adds the flavour, the satay chicken skewer was small in comparison to Hornsby, still yum though and the papaya salad had frozen beans in it. I could still see the frost on the beans. A little disappointed unfortunately. Service was good.

Unfortunately, the good old Berowra Absolute Thai is now gone. The food is not tasty, staff is not friendly: I suspect a new chief is in the house the reason for that. We had a sizzling beef the other night and got a boiled, over salted meat sitting in a pool of water, the dish tasted terrible. When we asked to replace the dish - got the same food back in a few minutes later. I would not recommend visiting this café, better drive to Hornsby if you are up for a Thai dinner.

We just had Thai from there tonight and they were not only rude but it was the most terrible food! The squid batter was barely cooked, the vegetables were terribly over cooked and it was super expensive! I would highly recommend you avoid this place. Very disappointing and won’t be going there again! Just waiting for the food poisoning!

Waited for out take away order for about 20 min. They kept brining out the wrong order. Two meals were fine but the seafood laksa was absolutely pathetic. One piece of fish, one prawn, one mussel and two pieces of squid, heaps of noodles and the curry was bland. Really disappointed in the quality of the food. Recommend that you go to Chef's Noodles at Hornsby for better food at a reasonable price, better value for money. Wont be going back to Absolute Thai...ever!

They focus on the takeaway trade, unfortunatly we decided to eat in. It took 10 min to get seated due to lack of eye contact, actually had to make myself known to the staff. When the waitress finally took our order we felt that it was forgotten due to the fact we where waiting 30 minutes with out any food or drinks on the table. We asked if there was a problem and noticed our order was being held by the waitress that served us. We decided to leave at that point

Ordered panang curry, fried rice and Tom yum soup. The panang curry was not a curry it was like a watery soup with huge chunks of chicken as if pulled from a BBQ chicken. The fried rice had no flavour at all and the Tom yum soup was very sour. When called to place a complaint and was passed onto 3 people, with no offer of a refund or re-do of the meal. Terrible service with the only explanation that the curry was watery because of the chicken ???

Had lovely chicken satay with beautiful sauce and the crispy pork had a good bbq stir fry flavour - unfortunately these were the only two nice dishes we ordered. Fish cakes had overwhelming fishy flavour and soft shell crab tasteless, not gutted and plunked next to an underwhelming Tom Yum soup. Lovely outdoor setting but very dirty and sticky tables.

Our baby started decompensating while we were travelling to Sydney on the highway so we had to pull over. Ended up at this place. Really good. Staff were really accommodating for children (plastic plates, cups, spoon etc.) And the food was really nice. I recommend the crispy pork and chili basil dish. Anyway, if you have a rapid-cycling infant and you love Thai food, check this place out. 5 stars.

Service was fine staff friendly food was ok. My fried rice wth prawns had a burnt taste, the lamb dish had a meaty taste and a bit dry. Entrees were nice. The worst thing was the noise levels, you could not hold a conversation without yelling at each other. Don't know that I would return because of this.

Nice place to have good thai food. Ambience was nice and service too was good. The only sore point for us was to find 1-2 pieces of chicken in our veg rice, but then its not the first time has happened with us in a thai restaurant so we didn’t fuss.. The best was the red/green curry and Pad kee mao, and the serving size too is good so don’t order a lot if you are sharing.

ordered panang curry and Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was nice but like the previous poster the Panang curry was watery. Panang being my favorite Thai dish i was very disappointed, disappointed enough to write a review in the hopes that absolute Thai will remedy this as they are a very nice and reputable restaurant.

Good flavor, we get take away from here some times. But it is way over priced, expect to pay a lot for a small dish. For example. The pork dish is $22.90, it has about 5 tiny bits of meat in it... and nd it gets smaller every time we go there. Expect to pay about $70 for 3 small dishes take away.

Food is always really tasty. Plenty of selections and great place to hold a birthday dinner... take a cake and Absolute Thai will provide the thoroughly enjoyable (but embarassing) entertsinment to celebrate the special birthday person ... make sure your camera is set to video …

Good value great food. I have eaten here many times, always for lunch. The lunch menu offers great value and a street food section for the non-vegetarians. The service is always warm and friendly.

Ordered a takeaway chicken pad see ew on Friday night it is the worst I've ever had. Very disappointing !!! No flavour and the noodles were like mash. Used to be a good restaurant it has going down hill in quality considerably. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COST.

Ordered the green curry . Taste wise it is really out there (good) but it's very watery and the only indication to green were: zucchini , green beans and come of basil leaves, eith out those the watery sauce which supposed to be curry , is/was white. Disappointed.

I saw them hand making the curry puffs. They looked like a machine made them but they are definately hand made. Good pad see ew. Chicken. Lots of meat when I ordered it. Prompt on the phone and timely pickup.

Part of a chain of Thai restaurants in Northern Sydney / central coast. Food is typical Thai fare but cooked to a high quality and is popular with the locals. Good spot for a Friday night dinner when you can’t be bothered cooking.

Have always loved their food but on this occasion terribly disappointed. Pad Thai was dry noodles with dry tofu hardly any sauce anywhere. Also hardly any vegetables in the green curry. Will check locally before going again

Ordered a Chilli jam and cashew nut dish, and there were no cashew nuts. The spring rolls were cold. The other dish was fine. Won't bother going back, too expensive for missing ingredients and cold food.
