I recently visited Athens, Greece. Walking around its ancient Agora—the marketplace where philosophers taught and Athenians worshiped—I found altars to Apollo and Zeus, all in the shadow of the Acropolis, where a statue of the goddess Athena once stood. We may not bow to Apollo or Zeus today, but society is no less religious. “Everybody worships,” novelist David Foster Wallace said, adding this warning: “If you worship money and things . . . then you will never have enough. . . . Worship your body and beauty. . . and you will always feel ugly. . . . Worship your intellect . . . [and] you will end up feeling stupid.” Our secular age has its own gods, and they’re not benign. “People of Athens!” Paul said while visiting the Agora, “I see that in every way you are very religious” (Acts 17:22). The apostle then described the one true God as the Creator of all (vv. 24–26) who wants to be known (v. 27) and who has revealed Himself through the resurrection of Jesus (v. 31). Unlike Apollo and Zeus, this God isn’t made by human hands. Unlike money, looks, or intelligence, worshiping Him won’t ruin us. Our “god” is whatever we rely on to give us purpose and security. Thankfully, when every earthly god fails us, the one true God is ready to be found (v. 27).We often use Paul’s interaction with the people in Athens as a model for evangelism: know your audience and tailor your message to them. The apostle observed the religious behavior of the Athenians and demonstrated his knowledge of the Hebrew Scriptures and the life and work of Jesus. But we also see that Paul’s speech was a refutation of the Athenian approach to religion. In a place where they had many idols to which they offered sacrifices of food and drink, the apostle asserts that there’s only one God, and He doesn’t live in temples and doesn’t need to be served by humans.

Such a beautiful zoo. There are so many animals and birds. I was surprised to see such a large variety of birds. The indoor giraffe is so beautiful and it's amazing to see such a large creature so closely. My LO always have so much fun. What I like most is all the animals and birds are so healthy and looks like they are taken great care. Plants and trees are everywhere so that even in hot climate you will feel cool. I love the way Bronx Zoo invest in research of endangered species. Instead of getting membership from profitable zoo I would better get Bronx Zoo membership as they really care for flora and fauna. COVID UPDATE: Book time slot online from its website. Mask is needed all the time for adults and 2 years above. Minimum people is allowed inside closed SUGGESTION for the zoo: Please put sign for stairs few meters away so that it will be convenient for parents with stroller and wheel chairs. Most of them go in wrong direction and then there is huge gathering.

The kids loved it, even though the lions and lioness just sort of lay down in the sun, but who can blame them? We always see the tree toys that they can play with, but they never do. The good thing is that when the males do decide to roar, it can be heard from really far away. A must see and hear.

We attended the evening holiday light show. The sea lions were the only outdoor live exhibit. A fun time was had by all, friendly helpful staff and beautiful displays throughout. Covid precautions in place. Center mall holiday tree puts on quite a show

Fun! Fun! Fun! My grand kids and myself had a great time, can't wait to go back! The butterfly house, reptiles, lions, and giraffes, were great to look at. The children zoo also very enjoyable! Planing to go back soon.

The great thing about this zoo is that some of the habitats are so large you may not see the animal inside. If you are lucky you will see the lions resting and even hear their roar. Enjoy them from a distance !

So much!! My little guy is 1 and he enjoyed it saying the animals and their sounds. He loved the train! Great for all ages.

Because of Corona the situation all indoor places are closed so you wouldn't be able to see many animals that you wish to see. Prepare to not see monkeys, gorillas birds etc almost all of small animals.

My girlfriend and I had such an amazing time. We got to see most of the animals and some of the exhibits that were so breathtaking. Looking forward to coming back here and seeing all the animals again.

I managed to see one lion out and about during my visit. It was cool.

My youngest son and his wife took my grandson and treated me and my mom also it's been since the mid 90's when I took my 3 son to the zoo it was great my grandson loved it

So cool the entire zoo is large and you can easily spend a day or two trying to see it all. What a wonderful time.

The lion exhibit was phenomenal until they woke up the. I was ready to go. There is no trench deep enough lol

Maybe if they had slightly more room. Otherwise its crazy how close you get to them. You can feel their roar

They were divided on islands and the lions were just staring at the gazelles and zebras all day, lol
