"This is a really great Zoo for families and even adults alone"
"I am of two minds when it comes to Zoos, A zoo allows us to see animals that we never get a chance to see in real time"
"It is inside Bronx Zoo"
"My story is that groups of people were waiting to see a tiger come out from he trees at the Bronx Zoo tiger mountain exhibition, but no tiger was around"
"I loved the experience with our family but consider that these beautiful animals could be in better conditions, more space, by seeing them I understood that they belong to nature, but if they were born in captivity they deserve a bigger extension of land to recreate their habitat"
This is a really great Zoo for families and even adults alone. There are many species of animals but I wish there were more signs on the road paths to help with direction. My recommendation is to definitely get the total Experience tickets as these include the extra attraction fees like the monorail, the butterfly garden, the carousel and the 4D theater to name a few. The zoo really is a big place like all the other reviewers mentioned. I attempted to visit all the attractions in one day and I had to rush through most of them. I even skipped lunch because I didn't want to waste time. I ended up seeing everything but of course my experience was rushed. If I wasn't so rushed I would have tried to make it to a few of the shows like feedings and live performances. It is highly recommended to visit the zoo on two separate occasions to get the full, not rushed, experience. But of course that's always not feasible due to costs, commutes, and scheduling. As I passed the bird exhibit by the Congo gorilla Forest, one of birds in the cages were frantically running around. I wish there were more trained experts and professionals for each section to help ensure the safety and well-being of the animals. The animal looked really stressed being in the tiny enclosure. Since I came in the fall season at the end of September they also offered a hayride off to the side. We rode on the back paths, which was beautifully decorated with Halloween decorations like spider webs, skulls, and tombstones. There were also actors in costumes that greeted us as we drove by. The hayride just goes in a circle and drops you off at few feet away from the pick up location. At the drop off location there's also a mini corn maze and a fun decorated scene to take a few photos.
I am of two minds when it comes to Zoos, A zoo allows us to see animals that we never get a chance to see in real time. However, I do believe that there are animals that should not be in zoos. First, this Zoo was well kept and as it is getting cold now , many animals were not out and about. As it was raining on the day I visited, I noticed that animals like the Tiger, the Lion ,the wild dogs, the Gorilla, were all pacing back and forth. It made me Sad for them. I hope that they were just cold. This zoo is large and we hardly run into many people, every single zoo staff member i met was pleasant and informative. nearly all the Shops were closed and maybe six food stores open. The gift shop is wonderous!. I think that they have an infestation of Flamingos, they were everywhere. Lol. All in all , my visit was Great ! . My Appreciation goes out to all the wild life Conservatives, Veteranaries and the animals caretakers .Please keep up the good job.thanks .
It is inside Bronx Zoo. This section is called Asian wildlife. Under Asian wildlife there is another section called Bengal expression which I believe named after greater Bengal in the Indian Subcontinent ( modern days it is called West Bengal & Bangladesh ) ! The tigers are very similar to Royer Bengal Tiger ! I belive this tigers are brought from Sundarban which the home of royal Bengal tiger. Sundarban is situated between Bangladesh & West Bengal (which part of India ). These tigers are very live ! The real tiger experience! It was great ! See the video I posted !
My story is that groups of people were waiting to see a tiger come out from he trees at the Bronx Zoo tiger mountain exhibition, but no tiger was around. One guy that was guiding a group of people said out loud to the crowd that he would buy lunch for whoever spotted the tiger first. They waited n we're leaving, do i mentally prayed for the tiger to show, n it did
I loved the experience with our family but consider that these beautiful animals could be in better conditions, more space, by seeing them I understood that they belong to nature, but if they were born in captivity they deserve a bigger extension of land to recreate their habitat. I loved the team at the zoo, they were friendly and helpful all the time.
This Zoo is Amazing. Too bad the Polar Bear is gone though and they are redoing its area now. On Wednesdays its pay what you want day so there are a lot of people but that is still fine. You can fine free parking in the neighborhood few blooks away if you want to save some money. Love going there as much as possible. You would need an all day out there.
I enjoyed my trip. It was my first time there. I saw the tiger, and many other animals up close. You can even rent a power chair to walk less loved the experience, would go back for the lights show

Tigers shouldn't pace. End of story. Look it up. Tigers pace a little when anticipating food, but not all day long. Tigers shouldn't pace. Tigers need more space than a suburban back yard. Otherwise they pace. One tiger with less room than I had as a lower-middle class kid confined to nothing. Tigers. Shouldn't. Pace.
It's the Bronx Zoo, what else can be said. Definitely visit the gorilla habitat, you could watch them for hours! The zoo is very eco-friendly. The cafe food was good, hot and reasonably priced. We became members, so there were discounts at the cafe, gift shop, and the parking fee was waived.
It's been awhile since I last went to the Bronx zoo. Years almost 20 years since I've been there. It was nice Saw the tiger the monorail which wasn't as good as it was the first time I went. Saw the reptiles butterfly exhibit the monkey exhibit Last was the seals and sealing It was nice
I spent a good portion of my childhood living near the bronx zoo and I have always loved going there. Tiger mountain was a new additive to my already great experience of going there as a child with and without my family. I already have an affinity for tigers they are majestic to me.
But of course my favorite place to be. Everytime I go there my mentality goes back to a child. I love it! Thanks for always refreshing my memory ❤️️ …
The zoo is just amazing its like a whole new world inside this place i was pretty sad not to see the tiger because he got sick with covid 19 one employee got the tigers the lions and the gorillas sick of covid other than that everything is perfect even the food is not bad …
Liked it a lot, happened to be one of the coldest days of the month so it was a little hard to enjoy. Coulldnt take advantage of all the attractions. No room to swap out prior purchases for inclement weather days though. The s'mores station and carousel were our highlights
Seen the tiger well one laying down in it's enclosure & the only reason we seen him is because we got there @ 10am this morning the only animals we didn't see was the gorillas and the Komodo dragon and some enclosures were closed but it's still a fascinating Zoo …
I have been lucky that every time I show up here. The tiger comes out, with the weather beginning to get cold. Don't be surprised if you miss out on the big fella when visiting.

Thankfully the tigers were up and about putting on a good show, getting oohs and aahs from the crowd. The exhibit itself is beautiful, with a huge water pit filled with huge fish, info on tigers and what they face in the wild, and a place to park strollers.
Only DownFall They Should Either Give Snowchecks or Discounts for Entrance to Zoo. Especially if the majority of Animals are in-housed.

This small area of the zoo has a fair amount of information on the tigers that live there. I only managed to see one for a brief time.

Recently haven't seen any tigers, well at least not any with four legs. However there is a pond within this exhibit, which contains fish, I believe they are called tiger bass. They (the fish) are very large, and if like myself, delightful to watch.
The zoo was a perfect distraction for whats happening in this world right now. Its outdoors, enough space to comply with social distancing, everyone wore a mask. The animals were beautiful and the staff were great. Thank you Bronx zoo …
Tiger mountain was one of the best attractions at the Bronx Zoo. All of the animals are great but the big cats are my favorite. Its always great to see people protecting these beautiful animals. Will continue to visit.
It was so hot out... Most of them wee in the shade kickin' it. I enjoued it though... OH! BUT.... they DEFINITELY have to update those photos in the displays. They were MAD OLD! Like, black & green computer screen old.
So much fun love how the animals were awake very well taken care of the best zoo I have ever been too way better than the San Diego CA zoo the Bronx rocks it's the best …
I LOVE TIGERS and Big Cats! But Tigers are my FAV! It's so exciting, no matter what your age, to see these AMAZING, GORGEOUS CATS walking around right in front of you!! …
Impressive viewing area and the tiger walks right in front of you. Awesome.

One of my favorite places to explore in the zoo. They tend to hide behind trees and make it difficult to watch them but it's amazing when you can get even a glance of these beautiful creatures.
During winter. During COVID-19. Lots of paths. Many animals were put away due to weather. Looked at rhinos, birds, bears, and reptiles. Gorillas were fun. It was an great time with the family.
Beautiful, tigers are kept clean healthy, safe. Beautiful animals, beautiful exhibit, thank goodness these tigers are here, kept safe and healthy. It's a must see exhibit at the Bronx Zoo.
One of my favorite spots at the Bronx Zoo! 2 different viewing areas, fans, benches, educational things and a squishy floor covering to give your joints a break from the asphalt walkways.
The tiger moves back and forth between a blind spot and blends in with the surroundings so it can be hard to spot the tiger. This is the best picture that I took of the tiger see below.
Most of the day the Tiger was sleep or just lounging around...but when he got up! Big! Beautiful! Powerful! Like he knew everybody was there to see him! Exciting! All 3 minutes of him!
Went on a Tuesday, the park was eerily empty. Timed tickets were a great way to enjoy all the attractions in the zoo, staff was very diligent on cleaning after we left each exhibit.
I love the Bronx zoo, in fact I love all zoos. I went as a child, took my children and now my grands. The zoo is interesting and educational. Never a dull moment there.
What a fun place!! The trip was well worth it. Most animals were out even with the warm weather. A lot of walking ,so wear your walking shoes. Hope to return sometime.
For those of you that have dissed The Bronx Zoo for its big cat enclosures, what do you propose? I have zero tolerance for people who criticize but offer no solution.
Well maintained, very natural Beautiful tigers

Great experience during this pandemic. Must reserve time to enter and they have workers outside buildings and enclosures to ensure not too many people are inside.
Love the work that this exhibit is doing

I love the Bronx zoo and everything there. The tigers were not visible when I went but the exhibit spaces are top notch. The bird sanctuary is a must visit.
Unbelievably well laid out environmental conditions for animals. They are lively now! Spring fever. People were COVID compliant and full of joy to be there!
It is awe inspiring to see this big cat pace around this enclosure. Excellent views. The tiger comes so close to you across the window that it is surreal.
Love going to see these beautiful tigers enjoying their habitat, while learning how the zoo is educating everyone about how endangered they really are.
Very good we are very excited to be able and I will do that to me so we can get it done before you go to bed lol yeah I think so too I love I …

The zoo has included more now than it did when I went years ago, like a dinosaur safari and it's just improved a lot since being there in 2013
Tiger enclosure with a water feature! If you’re lucky, you can see the tigers swim towards you, amongst giant fish. Really amazing exhibit
All exhibits were open, but no Lions, Tigers, Giraffes, or Gorillas were out. The petting zoo was good for the kids and food was good
Sleeping but we saw the tigers...Sometimes you go to a zoo and when it is hot the animals hide and you never see them. Not here.
Amazing!!! Saw three tigers, all of which clearly wanted to be seen, even saw two tigers wrestle a little bit... Very cool....
It was great to see how healthy the animals look. The only bad thing is The zoo is not open completely due to the pandemic.
Nature is in my genes. Every moment was well spent! I applaud the entire crew for their commitment to these animals …
Good place, very organized, nice place to spend with family. You feel like you are in big forest not in the big city
We only got to see one tiger and he wasn't in a friendly take pictures mood. Lol but it was cool …
Interesting animals

Not sure
It wasn't too crowde on a Monday. Saw the animals but some animals were not exhibited.it was still relaxing.
Went to see zoo lights but it wasn't impressive. My kids are 6&8 and they got bored. Wasn't worth the money
Seeing Tigers close up & not in a cage? Doesn't get any better! Kids love Tiger Mountain too!!!! …
This zoo is magnificent you get to see mother nature at it's best. Me and my family had a great time.
The tiger is an amazing animal, and is sad to see the display of how the hunters are killing them..
My son enjoyed the fish feed for the Tiger more then the tiger. I guess the tiger were to far away
Interactive tigers. Very playful the day we went. Put on a great show at the glass display.
After the American Natural Science Museum, an unavoidable visit when in the City!!
It was a sunny day so some of the Tigers were just laying around but it was GOOD
The tiger was sleeping. We were a bit sad but we could see him in the distance.
I love this zoo. Huge and so nice neat and clean. Wash room was very clean.
Exhibit may need some updating, but the close view of tigers is incredible
A little crowded during these COVID times but the tiger is beautiful
They talk you into the total package but no animals we out or active
We saw the tigers close up behind a glass. It’s very crowded there.
They had 1 sleepy tiger who was too far too even see and that's it.
A must visit .....specially the train ride , must see Gorilla place
Great place! I took my 4 years old daughter, she enjoyed so much.
amazing gift to have this in the middle of NYC. beautifully kept
Two beautiful tigers sleeping or grooming themselves outdoors.
I love this place because it as information about the animals
Tiger didn't come out when we were there. The train goes by.
Tiger comes out to show off before the crowd. Unforgettable.
The polar bear was put to sleep after 26 years of wild life
The tiger was great. He posed for everyone which was cool.
Dirty pool. Everything is outdated. Will never come again.
Great place to take the kids and enjoy the beautiful zoo
Crazy how close the tigers can come very cool experience
Nice to take kids to zoo after all the pandemic times.
Beautiful tiger...need more tigers in the big exhibit
Food was awesome and laxman our waiter was fantastic
