"It is a portable sized stadium in the heart of Agege"
"It must have been a grand facility in it's glory days ; sadly it's currently(24th November 2023) a total write-off"
"Agege stadium is a well known place to those around that area, Ikeja axis, Ogba, Adeniji Jones, Allen Avenue, and it's also not far from iyana ipaja, and the above mentioned places, the roads surrounding the stadium are safe to link up and someway connected to the Above mentioned areas as well"
This is about the basketball court: Fun and intense. Starts 8am and carries on into the afternoon. Contrary to what you have heard about Agege, this is a pretty chilled group of boys (and sometimes girls). And they play hard. They argue terribly though, get used to it, but rarely any fights. Also, there can be quite a few sets waiting to get in and some bias in choosing familiar players. Costs #200 to play but if you drive, the gate men and women will hustle you for money. Rim is 10ft+ and not straight. But standard court. Used to be a lady who sold drinks but not anymore as, I hear, she's not been profitable. So, come with your water bottle. The 5 on 5s are played black on white so come with 2 change of jerseys or get the double sided Jersey they use. Have fun.
At the Agege township stadium, some teams from the Nigeria Premier league play their home matches here. When this facility is not being used for footballing related activities, some school would conduct their Interhouse Sports competition here because the stadium has a standard football pitch and tracks for track related events. The facility has also got a fairly equipped gym where different people who wish to workout train on a daily basis. Some non-professional football teams also come here to train youngsters registered to their football academies. Every December, the stadium plays host to different performing music artiste and their fans during a week long program to commemorate end of the calendar year.
It is a portable sized stadium in the heart of Agege. The atmosphere was electric with Honeyland College interhouse sport festival. The turn up of parents was so impressive and all units were on point. The Red Cross society ready for first aid, the Lagos State Ambulance waiting in case of an emergency and all the staff of Honeyland College everywhere at the same time making sure their students were well taken care of. Christopher University Mowe staff were there to give parents the benefits of choosing their University for their children and wards. Pocari Sweat drink was also there to replenish lost electrolytes. The atmosphere was fun; I had a great time.
It must have been a grand facility in it's glory days ; sadly it's currently(24th November 2023) a total write-off. Everything is non-functional except for the basketball court in the fore front being used for basketball practice by a few youths around the neighbourhood. The security officer at the entrance gate explained that the stadium complex was under renovation; unfortunately there was no sign sight or sound of renovation/repairs ongoing. If your business there isn't that basketball court, please do not bother visiting except you would not mind jogging around the carpark
Agege stadium is a well known place to those around that area, Ikeja axis, Ogba, Adeniji Jones, Allen Avenue, and it's also not far from iyana ipaja, and the above mentioned places, the roads surrounding the stadium are safe to link up and someway connected to the Above mentioned areas as well. Agege stadium is a centre for entertainment and sport during festive periods, it is also one of the stadiums used in the Nigerian football leagues.
So much changes made that it got my attention.. From the main gate, you found security officials, there's now a waiting point especially for VIPs... Clean location till the stadium. One can also request for program, crusade, events etc.. usage and the management will attend to you... Thank you very much the Management of this beautiful stadium. Continue to improve the place...
May not be a standard size stadium but serves its purpose well for sporting activities or events with standard size football pitch and seating space for fans comfort and good view. It's located within Agege, a little on the outskirt and so is relatively free from the customary traffics associated with Agege. Nice place to consider for sporting event.
It was my first visit to this stadium.. I passed by Agege maybe 20 years before now. It totally looks different and for good.. The event I attended here was well handled. Parking was not an issue.... Leaving the stadium at the end was easy as well. I don't know how long it has been here or what it looked like before but it appeared well maintained.
Football in the trench is always sweet; a big community where people easily intersected and enjoy the beautiful game of football. Having a NPFL side, Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministry FC, used the ground as their home turf brings the joy of being part of the larger football family to their door step.
The main pitch is still unusable and yet to be renovated, therefore no football activities for the past few years. The tartan track is still usable for track events. The mainbowl of the stadium is mainly used for concerts and track events while the indoor sports hall is fully functional.
Football pitch is being upgraded. It's a 6 lane track. Approximately 4000 seater. Batches of 240. Approximately 1920 seats with canopy over them. Sound system is still good. Boxing practice area still looking good. Convenience also well maintained. Fairly adequate parking space also.
Agege stadium in Lagos state is a multi purpose stadium. Available for track and field events, football matches and few indoor sports. It is the home for the M.F.M Football Club. The stadium was recently renovated by the football club. The stadium has a seating capacity of 4000.
The standard of the stadium is way below average when comparing to a standard stadium. But for such type of stadium, it a place that brings joy to the heart of the residents of Agege. It a place where they show their love for football, basketball, and track events as well.
Agege Stadium is a cool place to host sporting events. Has a standard capacity sitting space and a 800-metre relay race tracks. There's a spacious car park, a reserved sitting space for VIPs and ample spaces for vendors during events. It's a 3 ⭐⭐⭐ rating for me.
Do you love soccer, is a place to be. Nice and beautifully stadium but am not particularly happy the way the remaining turfs were abandoned. That's lots of resources being wasted and there are other locations that desperately need it. Someone please help
My kids had their inter house sport there. That was my first time visiting the facility. Then my church used it for family fun day. Its a wonderful venue for sport and non sporting events. Its spacious with lots of parking lots. Its has
This stadium is one of the up to standard in Lagos State and stand a good position within Nigeria. The track is to standard and so the football field and can seat over three thousand people. Considerable parking space but still very
Artificial Grass.... Big screen Located close to agege local government, the area is going to be traffic congested for big program. And today 25th December 2019, we are here for let’s go and fishing with Daddy G O.
Never knew Agege stadium was this good.. The pitch is so dope.. the seats, the atmosphere.. Everything is just great... But be careful with your phones and valuables.. these Agege boys are not smiling..
This is a place for sporting activities in the neighbourhood and for all schools inter house sport in the local government and vicinity. There need a proper renovations of some dilapidated facilities.
Good place for sport event, has enough parking space for 100 cars and above, adequate security in place. However, the convenience needs to be properly clean, tissue paper isn't available as well.
Security needs to be beefed up as it is prone to brutal fights . The hooligans were found harassing people but thank God for these security guys. They had to shoot in the air at a point.
Spacious mini stadium with a functional gymnasium. The football field and the track are in a terrible state of disrepair despite the management of the stadium charging premium for events
Mini stadium: Easy to locate, ample parking space is an added advantage. Generally great atmosphere. And Schools are allowed to use the facility for their inter house competition. Great.
The field is only half done, most of the synthetic grass is packed on one side. The seats in the sun are breaking, signs of no maintenance but they sold nice snacks, so not that had.
Its okay for a stadium although some chairs were bad and i notice the field had some issues, not to mention the security around the stadium isn't good enough, I almost got robbed.
The Stadium Is A Mini Stadium where most High Schools Used For Sport Activities. But What Takes Me Down To The Area Mostly Was A Budget Friendly Local Food Delicacy (AMALA).
A modern stadium for multipurpose sports and recreational activities. Notable amongst Lagos State (Nigeria) stadia. In fact it is also useful for other social engagements.
This is where Akwa United FC slaughtered Niger Tornadoes of Minna to win the 2017 Aiteo Cup. The synthetic turf was not comfortable for my team, but we won afterall
Stadium Arena, road connectivity is almost perfect, though the stadium is under construction we were there for crusade. The score board is excellent
I just came here for Afrima Music village concert...lovely, the toilets are in good sanitary conditions, there are four (4) exit in the stadium....
It's a very decent stadium located in the most unexpected place. It's neat and accessible though parking may be an issue when big teams play here.
The atmosphere at Agege Stadium today is great as Inks Mart is being organized by the INKSNATION for people to come with their PIN CARD to shop.
I have been here for a party and for a football match and church crude it was so excited and well protected and well organized area
Been here a couple of times, it has a safe environment and very spacious as well for sport activities. its a lovely sport center.
Arena for sports, especially tracks events. Also good for religious gathering, centrally located and reasonable parking space.
Not a very straight forward place to locate but ok using the map. I had to recenter and recenter the map♀️ …
Never knew a stadium of this size existed in the outskirts of Agege. I am told that it was built by Governor Fashola.
Good pitch, conducive environment and a good stadium. Plus it has a gym facility where you can register to get fit
Nice place for sport activities But you have to be careful when leaving the stadium cause the area is very rough
Home to MFM FC Host to Omo Better Concert 2 20 thousand capacity Stadium. With modern facilities Soccer field
It's a sports complex as the name implies. It's neat. I think they host more than sporting activities there.
Nice and clean, though still under construction and could use a few upgrades, especially the football pitch
A great recreational place for sports and other social activities. Standard pitch and good tartan track.
Safe , Spacious, Adequate parking space with numerous alternative routes for easy vehicular movement .
It was nice experience to see difference sporting activities going on there particularly on Saturday
A mini stadium in the center of excellence ,(Lagos). Capaple zof holding some local tournaments.
Agege Stadium is a good place to relax to watch local football or tracks and field tournaments.
It's has a good atmosphere for sports people(especially, footballers). Interesting place to be.
Lovely stadium ️ although, they are about to re-lay the grass as at the time I visited …
Agege stadium.... Arena for sporting activities & public events.... Good parking space.
Loved the place, attended RCCG Region2 Sunday Service there. Has synthetic grass, nice!
with the assistance of LNSC personnel we can park moderate large number of vehicles
So many things are not in place bushy and dirty, toilet stadium light etc area
Fun place to be for your recreational activities with family and friends
Nice place to have fun watching football life
Nice place but one need to be extra careful
The field is large enough for any game
Nice place to have fun and exercise
It's a good place to visit
