I have been a patient of Dr. Alani for several years now. During my most recent 6-month cleaning, I was informed that I needed a deep cleaning procedure to address the plaque, tartar, and harmful bacteria causing tissue and bone loss. Additionally, it was mentioned that I had deep pockets, with some measuring as deep as 6mm. This news genuinely alarmed me, as I was aware of the links between gum infections and various health issues, including cardiovascular disease. I was shaken and fearful for my health. After a couple of days of contemplation, I decided to seek a second opinion from another dentist. To my surprise, the findings from this second dentist differed significantly from what I had been told at Dr. Alani's office. According to the second opinion, my pockets were nowhere near 6mm, and my overall oral health was in good condition. I am concerned that scare tactics may have been used to persuade me to undergo unnecessary deep cleanings and procedures. The cost of the deep cleaning, which covered both the right and left sides, amounted to $1,000. However, I only had one side cleaned for $500. Furthermore, I noticed that I was charged $117 in December for a cleaning, but in May, I was charged $153 for merely an assessment that led to the recommendation of a deep cleaning and X-rays. This raises the question of why I was charged more for a less comprehensive service. Additionally, I am puzzled as to why I was never informed about the need for deep cleaning during my previous visits, considering that I faithfully visited for regular cleanings every 6 months. If deep cleaning was indeed necessary, it begs the question of why this was not addressed earlier. In light of these concerns, I kindly request reimbursement for the charges associated with the deep cleaning procedure.

I was new to the area and in search of a new dentist and my insurance company suggested Alani Dental. The office staff was so accommodating and I was able to get in for an exam almost immediately. It turned out that I needed to have some work done to replace several old fillings. Dr. Alani was great in helping me develop a treatment plan to complete everything on a schedule that would work for me financially. I have never felt more comfortable at a dentist office, not many people can say that. I needed a crown and possibly a root canal and Dr. Alani did everything he could to avoid the root canal so I didn't have an additional cost. The crown was made right there in the office the same day and he let me watch it being made (super cool)! The entire staff is so thoughtful and caring! I would recommend Dr. Alani to anyone in the greater Jacksonville area, any distance would be worth the experience. Thank you for making me smile again!

I was very impressed with my first visit back to this office since my dentist retired. Dr Alani was very gentle and was a master at giving an almost pain-free injection! He was very patient with me as we navigated getting a crown right. He was concerned that I wasn't in pain or discomfort during any of the procedure. Romi was very attentive to my needs and comfort also. He is an asset to this dental clinic. The front staff was friendly and accommodating as well. I couldn't be more please with my visit, as it was all done in-house, no waiting for crown to be made and no temporary crown to deal with. That was a huge, welcome bonus! Highly recommend!! Dec 2023 Follow up: I broke a tooth the day before they closed for Christmas until after the New Year. They worked me right in and stayed to do all the work I needed, well after their closing time! Great dentist and a great group of people!! I always recommend them!!

Stay clear of Alani Dental!! Arrived for 4:00 appt early, was seated in chair at 4:20 to get my teeth cleaned. They said I needed Xrays. Lead coat was put on and after 2 FAILED attempts to do xrays(machine point at my Forehead, through my eye and nose) I said I did not want another xray only a cleaning. Receptionist came out and said I need an xray to get a cleaning. I refused and said I have NEVER had a mouth xray through my skull and eye. Mr Alani then came out and I said I did not want a Xray. They would Not clean my teeth without the xray(which after 2 brain xrays was clear they did not know what they were doing). After going to this office for over 20 years when Mr. Schultz had it, I will never return. This was a free cleaning visit, with the Alani insurance plan, and probably why they would not do it. There is no law xrays are needed if you have No issues with your teeth. Stay away from Alani Dental.

Today, Anslee Visited Dr. Alani for the first time and had a great experience. We are so thankful to Laurin, Dr. Alani and all his staff who made her feel comfortable. She is already looking forward to the next time she sees them. I also went to Laurin and Dr. Alani for the first time. I haven’t been to the dentist in such a long time that I’m embarrassed to say how long. I have been terrified of the dentist for as long as I can remember and I knew how much that rubbed off on Anslee. Today’s experience was better than any experience I’ve ever had with a dentist. We have created a treatment plan that I feel comfortable with and I look forward to completing it for many reasons beyond just beautiful teeth. Dr. Alani is an excellent dentist! He is compassionate and knowledgeable about his work and truly cares about his patients and the community. Like a lot of people, I am not a fan of the dentist. I have put off going for about 2-3 years. It takes everything in me to make an appt. I finally made one and went today, at the recommendation of a friend, and was totally comfortable!! The hygienist, Elli, is THE best Hygienist I have ever had. She was so gentle and had really good techniques for cleaning without pain. She made me feel at ease when I am normally a trembling mess. The front office staff was very friendly and welcoming and the office was clean. I met with the dentist for a few minutes after and he was really easy to talk to and very informative. I highly recommend this dental office and will start keeping my 6 month appts

This place is amazing. I went for the first time Tuesday morning and I was in and out. Great service from front to back. The receptionist was great the doctor was great Sophia was top notch She’s the best she’s kind patient and very helpful. I had a lot of build up and she took her time getting it all done. I took my kids to her and that experience was great as well. The doctor was very good, nice man. Clean place smells good love they play music good music at that. This is our new dental office home. I will be back in may and can’t wait. We also got our toothbrushes from there great tooth brush very powerful gets the job done.

I called this morning with a chipped front tooth. Going out of town and was concerned it would get worse while I was away in a strange town. I called, Dr. Alani's staff booked me a timely appointment. X-rays and evaluation were done, treatment options were discussed. Plan was made and carried out. Dr. Alani was thorough and professional. My experiences in the practice have all been good. On 08/23/21 I called, had broken a crown on a tooth. Within a little over an hour they had me in, evaluated the problem, had a plan and were able to replace the crown that afternoon. Still very pleased with my care and the professional staff.

I highly recommend Dr.Alani, I have had so many issues with my teeth and have been to so many different dentist and my experience was always horrible. Until Someone I know recommended Dr. Alani and spoke highly of his and care. I just had a broken crown and I was stressing out and in pain but I came and saw Dr.Alani and he made me a crown right then in there with this new technology machine that creates crowns. I've been seeking treatment from Dr. Alani for the last year with fill-ins and intensive cleaning. The office staff is super friendly and helpful. They also text a week in advance to remind me about and appointment and most recently the staff was able to educate me on the benefits of Invisalign and assist with me starting the process without breaking the bank since my current insurance policy doesn't cover, braces were not a option I wanted to move forward with. They are professional and very attentive to the needs of their patients. I highly recommend anyone check them out without a doubt.

I’ve had such wonderful experiences with this staff. The office is beautiful, clean and accommodating. Samaa is so kind and hospitable up front, Rami is so helpful and comforting. Dr. Alani is professional and knowledgeable, and I can’t remember the hygienist’s name but she’s amazing as well. I literally had Howard Schneider as a dentist when I was a child, so my comfort level in dentist’s offices is low, and my standards are very high. I recently visited alani dental and had the worst experience. The doctor gave me a crown, and I ended up being in so much pain. I went back and he said he should’ve done a root canal first, how was I supposed to know that? I was also lied to about the prices. I was originally told I would pay a certain amount then ended up being charged $200 more! I also asked for a copy of the billing information and/or receipts and never received them even upon request. He wasn’t really honest about anything, and it left me in pain too because he didn’t know what he was doing. Don’t recommend.

My crown unexpectedly decided to split in half this morning. I called alani dental and they were able to get me in right away. Not only that but, they were able to replace my crown same day! They were able to basically "print" a new one on the spot. The staff was joyful and had a great sense of humor. They offered me a beverage on several occasions, which I appreciated. I felt very welcome and was well taken care of. My tooth is now back to normal! I'm very grateful they were able to take care of me so quickly and I enjoyed my visit. I will definitely go back. Giving 3 stars because I’ve been (I believe) 4 times now, and 3 of them have been fantastic. I had Ellie as my hygienist, and she was very good, personable, and gentle. This most recent time was absolutely awful. My hygienist butchered my mouth. It hurt to brush my teeth that evening. After over 20 years of dental work, teeth extractions, braces, surgery’s…. This appointment was easily the top 2 worst experiences. I’m not trying to get anyone into trouble. But I won’t be back if I have the same hygienist that I had at my last appointment.

I highly recommend Dr. Alani he is so friendly and professional he will go directly to the point of the pain and solve the issue very quick. I like dealing with him and special thanks to his team especially his wife at the front desk very helpful and beautiful lady . Dr. Alani he is bilingual also for all the Arabic community who need help and you feel your English language not helpful you with medical terminology with Dr. Alani will be no issue. I went there for my cleaning and crown appointment. I was so impressed by the new hygienist Abby not only she was very experienced but also she was very knowledgeable and explained the treatment well for me. Thank you Alani dental for always having the best team in the front and back. Dr. Alani and his Assitant Abigail did a crown for me after and it was a very convenient same day treatment I left with a permanent crown. State of the art technology and customer service. I will definitely recommend this office.

I highly recommend this dental practice! Doctor Alani is always cheerful and very informative with his review of the exams. Doctor Alani is amazing skillful. Recently, I had to have a tooth extracted, and he did a wonderful job. I had zero discomfort during the procedure from the initial novocaine shot to the extraction. Also, my dental hygienist, Lorin, always greets you with a warm, genuine smile, and she so friendly while providing a thorough cleaning without being rough. I strongly recommend the practice!

Came in to get my teeth bleached and after many failed attempts from other offices and strips from stores Dr. Alani and his assistant Rami made magic happen and changed my smile for me. They work very well together and they show that their patients mean more to them then just “another patient”. As soon as you walk into the office you feel as if you are walking in to your home you do not get the scary white coat feels. Very happy with my first experience I will definitely be returning !

The staff at Alani Dental are all excellent! I have to have some work done and Dr. Alani thoroughly explained different options I had. I was given an honest assessment about the priority of various services needed as well, which was refreshing. Update Sept 2020: I had a crown from a previous dentist fall off and the staff at Alani were able to get me in on an emergency appointment and I had a new crown made and attached within a couple hours or less. Awesome job!

Dr. Alani and his entire staff are amazing!!! I went in with severe tooth pain and Dr. Alani explained clearly what was going on and took the time to go through the options I had to remedy the problem. I had Dr Schultz for my dentist for 22 years and had come to know his friendly staff like family and was saddened to learn he sold his practice. Today was my first Dr Alani appointment and I found him to be very pleasant. The office staff is quite friendly and helpful, and thankfully, hygienist Julie is still there. Julie is simply the very best at making me comfortable, informing me of her procedures, making me feel right at home.

What an incredible office! The staff was stellar! Dr. Alani was very knowledgeable and professional. I went in for a cleaning and Ellie, their Dental Hygienist was exceptional! She was amazing at her job! Truly the best cleaning I’ve ever experienced! Ellie was very gentle which makes a huge difference. She was also super thorough and meticulous during the entire process. Having recently relocated to the area, I needed a new dentist. Every dentist I visited recommended thousands of dollars in dental work, yet with two family members who are dentists, they both agreed there was no need for the procedures being advised not to mention "padded" dental bills. Then I was referred to Dr. Alani and his staff. Great work and more importantly, honest. I highly recommend him.

After going to Dr. Schultz for many years, I was surprised one day when I arrived at the office and found out that he had retired. I have since had 2 cleanings and a crown. Dr. Alani and the entire staff that I had contact with were all very professional and made me feel comfortable. It's also awesome that the crown is made right there in the office and a second visit is not required.

Wonderful dentist and support staff. I really appreciate the fact that they spend time educating the patient on the factors impacting their dental health and explaining options for treatment. I have been to other dentists that have attempted to convince me to pay for expensive treatments that were obviously not necessary. That is not the case with Dr. Alani and his staff.

Great practice! Very attentive and informative throughout the procedures. I took both my son and daughter there. Both felt comfortable and at ease. They even offered my son a blanket and/or neck pillow! Oh and for those other parents that hate waiting on the lobby, they have snacks, drinks and WiFi.

Went for my semi annual cleaning. Staff is super friendly. Didn't wait long at all, my appointment was at 9 and I was all done and back on the road before 9:45. Dr Alani is very friendly. I haven't had to have any service other than cleanings so far, but I have every confidence in him.

If I could give negative stars I would. Dirty office, incompetent dentist. Unhygienic. Gave me crown that I had to get replaced less than a year later. Had problems with it the entire time. Avoid at all cost! Go anywhere else.

Excellent service! I had a broken tooth I was seen same day for a root canal and crown. within couple of hours I was done with a permanent crown and no pain. Thankful for Dr. Alani and his staff. Highly recommend!
