I went grocery shopping here usually I enjoy shopping at Albertsons because they seem to have better produce, better raw meat selection, all around better everything compared to Walmart I bought some steaks from the deli it was about 8:30 p.m. I get home unload groceries put them away I didn't cook the steaks I bought until the next day... My boyfriend and I got super sick and the only thing I could think of was the stakes the only other thing that we ate with that were potatoes and those were fried I made sure to wash the meat before I cooked it I seasoned it like normal so I don't know what exactly it was but it made me super sick for days after it was eaten to the point where I felt like I was going to throw up, I had really bad indigestion, acid reflux, it almost felt like I had gotten food poisoning anyways I'm really safe when it comes to raw meat, making sure I don't cross contaminate anything so I'm positive that it wasn't due to my doing..... Even just thinking about how that steak made me feel gets me sick to my stomach! Blah

This store is horrendous about keeping their gluten free section, y'know, actually gluten free. I've called at least twice because I grabbed something that does, in fact, have a well know gluten free version from the section that has all of the gluten free options, yet management doesn't do anything to correct the problem. Which is a real day/night, often-the-next-day-too, ruiner with celiac. It's unrealistic to be too surprised about management doing nothing though, because as far as I can tell the people in managerial positions here don't understand that means they're supposed actually be part of ensuring things function correctly, which often means doing the work they clearly think they're too good for. How they've maintained enough staff at a time when options to actually get paid what they're worth are plentiful is beyond me. Point being, check the label before you check-out to be sure it's not going to make your body think it's been poisoned

PLEASE DO NOT SHOP HERE. One of the absolute worst places to shop in town. Great produce, products, etc, but the employees are INSANELY RUDE. I literally had one cashier scream “I’m CLOSED”, as I pulled my cart into her lane— and her manager quite literally saw this happen and checked my items out in another lane without even apologizing for her inappropriate behavior. He didn’t even acknowledge his employee literally screaming at a customer who didn’t even speak 1 word to her. It doesn’t matter how polite you are to these people, either. They are rude and hateful. There are maybe two or three decent human beings working here…. But they’re vastly outnumbered by aggressive and rude people who seem to just be looking for a fight. Not sure how they train their employees, but there is something VERY wrong with this store. Avoid this place like the plague!!

I would like highlight the outstanding service I received recently from Albertsons checker named Thelma. Thelma has an amazing positive attitude, along with the best bagging skills in town. It sure is refreshing to encounter personable, friendly and happy customer service workers. Grocery checker is not for everyone. These folks have a very difficult job, working on their feet all day, with few breaks and the ever present rude and nasty customers (I know I could not do it, without resorting to the occasional Power Slap. Right hand on three. Where's my chalk?). I've not forgotten, how these essential workers were there for us all, throughout the entire pandemic (they never got to work from home or were never allowed to take extended time off). Thelma and crew, thanks for all you do!

There is something majorly wrong with their meat processing. It’s the second time in a few months that after eating a Ribeye steak bought prepackaged at Albertsons, I had a severe allergic reaction and had to take meds. And I do not have a meat allergy, as food bought elsewhere is well tolerated. I am allergic to shellfish products though and I am confident they are cross contaminating seafood and meat by not changing gloves or washing hands properly. There is zero other explanation for it as both outbreaks were after consuming Albertsons meat. They need to adhere to a strict food safety standard in order to protect vulnerable customers. But I assume management does not care, as it costs a few seconds to put on new gloves or washing hands in between handling seafood and meat.

Honestly, I love this location as it’s very close to my house. But every time I go in most of the employees are always so rude to me. I stayed at the floral department for at least 15 minutes. Contemplating on what combinations I wanted to give to my wife for Valentines Day this year. Not one person said hi or is there anything I can help you with. Two girls were even right next to me and yet, not one question was asked. Several minutes had passed and two families came into the same department. As these girls were swapping out old flowers right next to these families, they received help almost immediately.… Honestly it kind of sucks feeling like this every time I go in. Never again will I go to this location…

This store is hard to shop at. People don't mind their children and let them run around the very narrow aisles without a care, and teenagers from Manzano come here to loiter in the way of people who are just trying to shop. Upon leaving, as I am backing up in my car, the person they sent to gather carts up walks behind my car, after it is in motion, and glares at me when I make eye contact with him instead of waiting, he just kept walking behind my car while it was moving. I try to avoid shopping here as it's faster to get in and out of Walmart (and the aisles are big enough you don't have to worry about mowing down someone's wandering toddler!) and I can use cash and card at self checkouts.

I was having a good experience until I got to the self checkout line and I was on the phone due to some family matters, then I feel someone's bodywarmth behind me on the side where my purse is. I froze in fear. She proceeds to say, "hi, looks like one of your items didn't scan". That's fine, but the way she approached me felt uncomfortable. When I approached her and told her it made me uncomfortable, she got upset with ME?! I told her to grab my attention in front of me next time instead of behind my back. Im going to follow up with a store manager. This happened yesterday. 03/24/2023 I felt harassed and humiliated for setting my boundaries because from past trauma??

This store is really nice with great products to choose from, it's clean, & well organized. Sushi gentleman is supremely talented. Wonderful flower section. However, reason for 3 vs 5 stars is that increasingly over the past 2 years, many employees seem to have an attitude or a laziness problem. I've witnessed countless instances. Being visibly annoyed at being informed of a spill, making faces at people wearing face masks, bagging produce with canned goods then getting passive aggressive about the remainder of bagging, today my raw chicken was bagged with celery..I can't wait for a self checkout option at this store, hoping that'll help.

This is a great store overall, but honorable mention must be made regarding the meat counter/section. This section in this store is amazing! It is always beautifully arranged and very well maintained. They always seem to have a nice sale going whether it is poultry, seafood, pork or beef. Robert is the guy that runs the meat counter, and it is his service that really drove me to make this review. So, in addition to being clean and well maintained with a vast range of selections, you have this courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful person providing high-level service at the counter. You can tell him that Chris sent ya! Cheers, ABQ!!!

This location is Juan Tabo and Candelaria. Saw a few reviews of the one down the street from them on Lomas. I have been coming to this grocery store since I was a little girl when it first moved from their first location on Menual and Juan Tabo. This store is so cozy and the workers are extremely nice, helpful, and the bakery is amazing - cakes are so moist and to your liking. Everything about this store is AMAZING. I don’t live in this area anymore but will make a point to come up here to shop. My only complaint and it’s not a major one and can be fixed is they need new carts every single one I grabbed was broken.

Good variety of products.I typically get my Almond Breeze soy milk here because Albertsons tends to carry more quantity of Almond Breeze unsweetened original, where Walmart has little quantity of this product avail. Products tend to be on the higher end and some of their breads tend to be dried out. So I normally check the bread for softness before I buy them. I do love their danishes! Always tasty and moist . But it's slim pickens for those danishes, tend to go fast. I love that finally I can buy their California rolls and Crunchy Dragon balls and other sushi in the same area with EBT !

Miss Susan has the worst customer service in all of Albertsons. I live very close and I walk in all the time to get simple items like tobacco and coffee. I usually go through self check out. This women will roll her eyes at you if you ask her for anything....like tobacco. After several times of this rude and uncalled for behavior I asked to speak to the manager. She then persisted to roll her eyes again and then tell me that it was a medical condition. She then told me I had to wait in line at self checkout when there was no one there. Absolutely appalling.

Rewards promotions are made so difficult to follow, even the cashiers can't figure it out. It appears intentional. After promising substantial discounts using the Albertsons phone app and even free items using points, you get charged full price for everything. Then, they send you to "customer service" where you spend over two hours arguing with another person about each item one by one. The whole thing seems like a scam. Maybe they're hoping customers will just give up and pay full price. Classic bait and switch!

  • Tiffany Grey

Love this location, usually extremely friendly customer service. It’s definitely changed. Saw four people without a mask, asked (who I think was possibly a manger) if it was a requirement to wear a mask he disregarded what I had to say completely but then said “we recommend it, not a requirement” and walked off. I felt they had no concern about public health even though they do have a sign out front stating mask needed. I felt so uncomfortable that I won’t be going back to that location.

  • mary eccleston

The motorized carts for people with disabilities such as myself were not working. I tried all 3 machines and none were working just like my last visit. I walked the store to get a few items . I loss the use of my legs. The cashier who checked me out was very helpful and friendly. It’s very upsetting that not one employee or manager on the floor working offered any assistance as I struggled. Please fix the carts and the customer service at this location.

  • Priscilla C

This is one of the best Albertsons in the city. They have great customer service and all management is kind and helpful. Chris M’s comment further down the review list is rude and disgusting. I checked all his Google reviews and he just goes around town giving bad reviews at places. To actually comment that employees look like they want to commit suicide is sick. Grow up Chris M you seem like a very unhappy person and get a job it might do you good.

Love this store. I have always loved the flowers here. There's a great variety and they're always looking beautiful. Also they got a great selection of fresh meats and seafood, which is always delicious. Wonderful selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Great bakery. Huge selection of wines, beer and liquor. I usually find everything I'm looking for, when I come here. Plus the workers are always helpful and friendly.

  • Edwin Figueroa

Great place, always good to me and others. Just the unknown from them being bought out out lingers atop of changes I've noticed on product and so forth. Edit* now there is some self checkouts. Edit: they were bought out by another company, but due to world situations; I can not say for better or worse. We shall see how the market lands in the near future. But otherwise a good store! Love the Staff that Ive met and dealt with.

  • Angie Young

This store is clean and has kind employees. What I find to the be most obnoxious part of this store is that there are never any carts available. I don't know if they need to have more employees who can go get carts from the lot but it's really annoying to have to stand around and wait for a cart to show up when there are several others waiting for one too or to just give up and have to carry a ton of items in your hands.

  • Billie Jo Yanez

Pretty busy most of the time. Is still a good place to do a big or little shopping trip. Parking lot always has space and the lines move quickly. Store is clean and a can get a little crowded but is always fully stocked. Great deals on good meat and decent produce. Starbucks inside here isn't the greatest have gotten gross unidentified floating objects in my coffee on multiple occasions.

  • Andrew Steele

The interior is very nice but their selection leaves quite a bit to be desired. Their butcher cuts are less quality than the ones at the Albertson's on Juan Tabo and Lomas. Their Customer Service Department is mediocre; that is, if you can find them or if they answer the store phone. I truly enjoy shopping at Albertson. However, this particular Albertson's is a lot of lipstick on a pig.

  • Erica Reyes

Even when this place is crowded, it’s still so easy to navigate. It’s always clean, the cashiers and employees friendly. My only only gripe would be how fast the produce goes, but that’s a testament to how good it is I guess, that they can’t keep it stocked. I use the app to clip coupons before I go and always get them redeemed at check out

  • Michael Burt Jr.

I had left a bag a groceries behind by accident the other day. This employee Maribel made sure that not only was it kept safe. When I discovered my mistake and returned.. she had placed my bag somewhere cold so my food would not melt or spoil! The service was so great I cant even express and I was moved to share this…. 5 Star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • Sheri .Hurt

Very good selection and helpful staff. Does pay to check the expiration dates on items you were purchasing, because we they do sometimes leave expired product on the shelves in the canned goods, condiments, etc.. I know it's hard for a store has that to catch that sometimes, but it pays as a consumer to look for yourself.

  • Rudolf Schmidt

Updated store in a nice area. Good selection of products where I can always find what I'm looking for. I drive a bit further just to go to this location. The inside is very nice, and the staff are helpful and polite. I love that the deli and bakery sections are well-staffed so I never have to wait long for what I need.

  • Jackie Garcia

Well kept. Friendly employees. A little pricey compared to other local grocery stores. This location is a bit smaller then the others but still have a good variety. They had a little snack bin for kids with fruits on the verge of going bad. Very small vAriety of make up but great selection of hair care products

  • marissa cantrell

The way this store is organized makes it very difficult to find things. Gluten free items are on the opposite side of the store as everything else like it. For example, cookies and bread on one side and gluten free stuff on the complete opposite side. Luckily the employees are friendly and helpful.

  • Eddie_Spaghetti

The parking lot and building were clean and there weren't any carts floating around that might hit cars. The staff were professional and greeted me upon entering. The stores layout is well enough and everything is fairly easy to find. Didn't have any issues with checkout or finding what I needed.

  • Janis Colonell

This huge store is beautiful!! I purchased fresh, colorful food dishes at the Suci Bar. The chef is preparing all the items right there. The bakery is lovely with fresh breads and cookies, plus a nice variety of goodies. It's all good. You must stop over for a wonderful shopping day. Thank you.

  • ABQ Resident

Not my first choice of grocery store. Have consistently found their prices higher than competitors for the last 20+ years. Careful how you shop here. Don't fall for the buy one get one free meat specials; it's not always a bargain. Kudos to some of the cashiers that have worked there for years.

  • Donna Montoya

I love this store and I do all my shopping here it's clean organized, and the employees are friendly, talkative, and helpful. I love looking at there selection of flower arrangements they always have fresh healthy plants and flowers they take good care of this store.

  • Georgia Griego

Product of yoplait light yogurt expired 11/20, 2023. We purchased it in 12/03/2023. This has happened before and very disappointing that Albertsons employee/employees do not check there products for expiration dates before displaying them on the refrigerator shelves.

  • Berlinda Armijo

Martha in bakery has great customer skills I really appreciate her taking the time to answer my questions. Other Albertsons stores were to busy to answer my questions I had. It's rare to find anyone with patient's these days. Thanks, again Martha-Excellent job.

  • kyle kingston

I don't usually shop at Albertsons, I usually shop at Smith's. I came into the store today because it was conveniently on the way home. I had my two daughters who are visiting me from Hawaii, and they needed groceries. We finished shopping,

  • Mandy M

A really nice store. I like that the registers are set up so the cashiers ring in items as they unload your basket. At other stores it's like I'm always trying to unload my basket while trying to get my payment ready at the same time, and I

  • Katie S

I called and asked if they had a specific item and they went to go check the shelves for me. When I got there, the place was very clean, had a nice little water fountain out front and a Starbucks. I would go out of my way to shop here again

  • Ilene Starr

This is a GREAT grocery store! Another Albertsons is closer but this is so much better in every way! Staff are great, friendly and helpful, know their stuff! Store is always well-stacked, checkout lanes always open (no waiting), checkers

  • Brett Petersen

Always clean, and the staff are well-chosen for their roles. The location is odd... A block away from another Albertson's, but this one has self-checkout, where the other one requires the standard wait in line for a cashier.

  • P C

By far our favorite location in town. The only downfall is the grocery pickup spots. Everyone parks in the spaces to go inside and shop. Slight inconvenience, but overall our favorite store to shop in person and online.

  • Underscore Your World

As I was driving through the area, I noticed my trailer’s tires were in rough shape. I parked it out of the way at this Albertson’s for three days while I worked at a job site nearby to make money to replace the tires.

  • Jess Williams

From start to finish it was the rudest service. if you don't want to be at work. Don't be there but don't slam people stuff around because you're having a bad day. Unbelievable I will never be back .

  • blacksheepboy3

I really like the staff here but it seems more times than not, they are out of shopping carts. That and they don’t even have the baskets for when you only need to carry a few things.

  • Kenneth Marquez II

Clean store. Friendly staff. Good selections. Always well stocked. They take care of their customers and products. Never had a bad experience.. wheelchair accessible parking as well

  • Rachel Caird

I really like the staff here. They have some great gluten free (options including cake). Flowers department is always so tempting. I never used to buy flowers but I often do there.

  • Frank H McKinnis III

Just discovered this store. Great prices on ready to cook fresh meals. Super clean and first Wednesday of the month seniors get 10% off. We missed it but will try again next month.

  • C L BISPO

Beautiful grocery store! Very fancy. Better flower and plant section than a flower shop. Check out people are nice. Everything is kind of expensive but normal for albertson's.

  • 420

One of Our friendly local Albertsons stores. Come in for prices that can't be beat on everyday favorites from the local bakery to Your favorite can of Monster!!

I used to shop strictly at Smiths however, I've found that the Albertsons has better bread and produce I now split my grocery shopping between the two.

  • Anne Tylers

Venus with the flowers was so so kind and helpful. She was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond for me! Will shop with her again!

  • Luke Aughenbaugh

This is the main grocery store I go to, friendly staff, a place where they know who you are, and are able to help with your needs.
