I had them perform an unscheduled preventative-maintenance service involving changing the oils, filters and spark plugs. The car was performing fine beforehand but I had recently bought the car and was unsure of the service history, so I figured it would be a good thing to change the fluids and plugs. Following this the car became hesitant under acceleration, threatening to stall. When I checked under the bonnet I discovered a bolt securing various components was loose and indeed it fell out when I examined the loose components. They had removed it unnecessarily when they had the air cleaner off and failed to replace and properly tighten it. When I took the car back to rectify the issues they tightened the bolt (only after I pointed it out to them) without apology, and they failed to fix the performance issue despite requiring it overnight on two separate occasions. When I picked up the car I noticed they had taken a USB stick containing hundreds of tracks from my stereo. I pointed this out to the reception staff but they denied any of their staff would have taken it. I would not have minded them borrowing it to copy the tracks but find it an affront that they would not return it and not check with each staff member. This is highly unprofessional.

Family business. Honest. Trustworthy. My elderly mother took her car to get her aircon regassed. Unfortunately it was more than a gassing issue and was a big job to be fixed. The staff were so nice and they didn’t take advantage of her at all. They checked the car over and advised her to replace the tyres before the aircon (even though they don’t provide that service). It wasn’t about the $, it was about the service. Mum was so impressed. She said the staff were lovely, they explained everything to her without making her feel stupid or like an inconvenience. They didn’t try to rip her off like a lot of mechanics would and we will definitely be back.

We visit Alderley Automotive for scheduled services and repairs to both our domestic vehicles and have for years. The quality of the work is evidenced by the fact their diagnoses and subsequent treatments have meant years of safe and worry free driving. Highly impressed with the level of care and communication the team have taken with servicing and fixing my car. They are realistic about what needs to be done, and what can wait and don’t pressure you into anything (have experienced this with other mechanics). I had taken my car elsewhere for an issue that I ended up believing was just how the car runs but the team have made my car drive and run so quiet and smoothly. From start to finish the service is unmatched and will use them again for when my car throws another inevitable tantrum.

I have been going to Daniel and the team at Alderley Automotive for more than 18 months now and they have constantly delivered best price and quickest service that more the easily fits my budget. They return call 2-3 hours sooner than most workshops (anywhere) have which means I have never had to worry about picking it up on time. ( I have never had to leave it overnight) . I have been to the team at Alderley Automotive a few times now and have never been disappointed. The only disappointment I've had is when I could not get in to see them and had to go elsewhere. Never again! Alderley Automotive have fantastic customer service - communicate clearly without putting pressure on you, happy to take the time to explain things and even went out of their way one time to help me when my battery failed on the day I was booked in for a service. Could not rate them higher!

Extremely impressed by the customer service at Alderley Auto - Daniel is a wealth of knowledge and genuinely just wants the best for the customer. We thought we had a coolant leak but that turned out not to be the case - he gave us a bit of extra coolant and advised us that it likely wasn't a leak and to just monitor over the next couple of weeks. We weren't charged for this and his honesty meant they lost $300 by us not booking in for an investigation. Needless to say, we'll be back!

Hands down best mechanic I have been to on the Northside. Professional and fast turnaround time. Although they are usually booked up a few days in advance, that is because they offer quality service at reasonable prices. Dan stood out as leaving a knowledgeable and honest impression. All members of the team (Jamie, Zach apprentice, and the blonde medium-length haired female staff member at the front whose name I forgot to ask sorry) were consistently excellent. I've had 4 cars serviced here (including my parents') for about a year and loved it. I do my own minor servicing but these guys were always around to help with any advanced troubleshooting or major repairs. Friendly, knowledgeable, honest and good value; a rare combination to find in any business let alone a mechanic. EDIT: Even though I've moved out from the area, I keep coming back. Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down.

Brought car in for service and to check a minor suspension noise. Was advised that issue wasn't pressing and that it would be best to address the issue if it gets worse. Also picked up on a minor issue that I had failed to mention during check in. Honest, practical advice without over-servicing. Excellent communication during book in, check in and post service. After our car failed to start we called in RACQ who diagnosed it as a faulty fuel pump. We towed it down to Alderley Automotive to get the fuel pump replaced. They checked it out a bit more thoroughly and determined that it wasn't the fuel pump but a blown fuse. They replaced the fuse, costing us very little. Honest, friendly, fast, efficient service.

Great customer service. Kellie, Daniel and team go above and beyond. Very reasonably priced. It took me a long time to find a mechanic who doesn't rip you off being a female. They do what's needed and quote for the rest and are very honest with you from the start. I take all my 5 vehicles there. You won't be disappointed.
