The owner is completely prejudice and has the worst customer service. I had been a member before and left because I just wasnt using the membership and didnt care for the staff, including the owner Peter. I decided to go back because my son is playing high school baseball and I finally had a workout partner. So I decided to give it a second chance. We have been going for the last 8 months and I got a call from the owner today and was told that the gym is an 18 and over only club. He went on to say that we slipped through the cracks....after 8 months. He then told me that I was welcome to stay but my son could not. He also told me that my fee was wrong and I should be charged more, even though I recieve a law enforcement discount. I told Peter, the owner, that I didnt want anything to do with them if my son couldn't be a member. He then told me "ok well we dont want anything to do with you either" and hung up on me. I have seen so many high schoolers working out there and I know they are 16 or 17 years old because they are friends of my son. I can't believe an business owner would talk to a customer like that! I will be contacting corporate and the BBB.

*BEWARE* After having a membership at this location for years I am forced to leave due to greed. At one point I highly respected the owner. Now after COVID I am forced to either workout/run with a mask or get a shot when I already have COVID antibodies. I asked for my account to be frozen until the mask is no longer required. Then last month both my husband and I were charged. Then I was told I have the choice of canceling and them keeping $70.00 some dollars or to keep a freeze on acct we have to pay $20.00 a month. If I want to cancel they charge us an entire monthly fee each person even though we have not used the facility since before COVID. So apparently the money they took out of our accts stay with them and will not be returned. Greed is a sad thing. CDC requirements or not I will not have something forced into my body that I do not want or need. Sad to see there is not an option for those of us who have legitimately went through COVID and overcome and can prove antibodies. NM has lost all common sense. We also thought better of this business and owner for years. Highly Disappointed

To the gym: Thanks for doing your part to be responsible. Hopefully you're not charging your members right now... To everyone else, I went here when this location was open and it was good. At the time it required mask wearing and enforced it which is great. Everyone at the location wore masks of their own accord almost as if doing something about this problem actually works. Go figure (COUGH APACHE JUNCTION). That being said, It's still a gym. Its business practices are predatory and awful to the point where they basically steal from people legally. Gyms and car dealerships are some of the most evil businesses on the planet and AF is no exception. Take that how you will... This location is as good as it gets though. Come here to take long showers and spend all the time you can using their amenities. You paid dearly for the privilege and tons of others are being ripped off, possibly bankrupted as we speak so that you can be there. The gym cares about none of this.

Most unwelcoming experience of all anytime fitness locations nationwide this #vanlife #snowbirder visited in 2020. I was using the wifi to attend a zoom conference in the entry waiting area after my workout and granted I was there for a couple of hours when the owner told me he had a no loitering policy and that I needed to leave. I get that with COVID everyone is being super cautious, but the gym wasn't crowded, it was a Sunday and there wasn't anyone in the immediate area. I apologized, said I was unaware of that policy as I was visiting and asked if I could finish up what I was doing then would be on my way, but he was pretty rude and insisted I leave. Don't plan to return; wouldn't recommend this place. I will say that the equipment was in great shape and the place was very neat, but the vibe was hostile.

I joined Anytime Fitness while visiting my hometown of Albuquerque for 6 weeks. I needed something simple, clean, gets the job done without too long of a wait or crowds. This location met and exceeded those expectations. The initial wait of 30 days to use any location was the only bummer, but I think that’s a corporate thing. The Tafoya family who operates this location does a great job. I’ve never seen a cleaner gym. Aside from “after work hours” around 6-8, you may have to wait for some equipment. Other members I’ve interacted with are nice, seem to understand the limited space, and likely will let you jump in between sets. Plus I dig how they celebrate and promote the nearby West Mesa community.

This is a worthless gym don't get me wrong it's nice inside and everything really clean but the people that run I find them real prejudice I don't know what to say they're not important hello all you do is maintain the gym and run it it's like the only want certain people there save your money and go somewhere else Planet Fitness is a hell of a lot better customer service then these goofballs and also don't make a lot of sense 4.5 Stars they must be telling people to give a good feedback so they can get a free month who you fooling

I've been a member at this gym for over 2 years. It's a great location and up to date... however over the last several months their membership has become so large I cant ever get in a substantial workout. They need to expand and add more equipment. But I dont see this happening. Becaise I hear the owner doesnt even want the gym. So I will say the time has come to start looking for a other gym that can fit my needs. I'm sick and tired of having to sacrifice my physical health over this severely undersized location.

Why go anywhere else? This place has it all: 24/7 access, free weights, machines, treadmills, etc. Ideal for swinging by before/after work and even in the middle of the night if you're bored. Best part: your key gives you access to any of the locations nationwide after 30 days of membership! I travel all the time for work and it's nice to swing by the local Anytime Fitness and get my workout in whilst I'm out of town.

Seem like eveyone is having the same problem with the same manager. Seems like he only wants certain people at this gym. I think it should be under a new name anytime, but for only certain people. I have contacted the Anytime Fitness headquaters about this gym in particular, very discriminatory.

We tried to go on a Sunday and get a day pass, but unfortunately they were closed. I believe if you are already a member, you can still access the gym, but since we are not we were unable to get in. No big deal though I would still give it another chance if we got the opportunity to go in.

Best anytime fitness gym in Albuquerque. They keep the facility clean and I frequently see staff keeping it clean. They are incredibly friendly here too. I will drive out of my way to go to this specific gym even though other anytime fitness gyms are closer to me.

I love the vibe in this place and how clean and taken care of it is. Peter really cares about the quality of service and keeping his place at it's best. Dominic is very good at managing and making a good environment. All together it feels like my gym home!

No music. Been going here for a few months now and they don't have a single speaker. You can hear every grunt and moan from anywhere in that place. This bothers me because I work out with a buddy and don't use headphones when we're working out together.

This is my favorite Anytime fitness in town. They are rarely crowded, even during there busy hours. They have excellent, clean equipment that gets plenty of upkeep. The gym trainers are well educated in all aspects of improving your gym experience.

The old man that owns this place is an powderpuff, don’t you dare make any kind of noise with the weights or anything cause he’ll have to give you a talkin too in the middle of your workout, will be going to a different anytime from now on

Just joined a few weeks ago and it’s perfect for me! Has the equipment I need and is clean, clean clean! The staff is very welcoming and they take the time needed to answer any questions I may have. 5 Stars for sure!

I love this gym. The equipment is up to date. They all work. Each has an individual TV. It's never super packed where you have to wait for a machine. They even offer ZUMBA. and it's 2 blocks from my house.

Great place. Staff and patrons are polite. People working out here have been cooperative and respectful. What I really like is people go exercise and not hang out. Best part is people watch their language

Great gym, owners are friendly and keep up the equipment and facilities. I love that it's not overcrowded and equipment tends to be easily accesible and available during high traffic periods of the day.

Great clean and uncrowded workout facility. Except for during peak times in which the size of the gym is not quite sufficient for its client base. I go early enough to avoid all that though!

This is the best Anytime Fitness gym Very clean. Staff is awesome. Equipment is in good shape. Gym is larger so the waiting is much less than at other locations. Plenty of parking.

Management took very good care of the gym, bathrooms were always clean and gym equipment was always neat and organized. Good gym and facility overall - would recommend

As long as nobody speaks to me and people arent on machines texting i dig it. People here do their thing its not a social gathering spot.

It's clean and not crowded. We love Renee, the personal trainer. She is patient and listens to our concerns while keeps sessions fun.
