I honestly just got gmail so I could write this review! The guy running this shop is a legend! He really cares about fish and helping his customers! I’m only new to the hobby and I made a few (major) rookie errors that almost killed my fish! I was pretty distressed about my blunders; anyway, I went to one of the other local aquarium shops (in Alexandria), and they were extremely unhelpful. I’d been there multiple times and they only give short answers in hopes you’ll make blunders and return to spend more money. Its apparent that they are running a business. They told me my fish would die and I should probably come in a few weeks to buy more. Sod that! I rang Aquadisiac straight after leaving, hoping I could board my fish there until I’d sorted my water Levels out. He told me to come in and he’d help me out and walk me through what to do! He was amazing and he went above and beyond, doing everything humanly possible - my fish have a good fighting chance now. I’m so grateful and I absolutely recommend Aquadisiac to everyone with aquatic pals! You’ll get detailed information and advice. You’re guaranteed to walk away feeling confident about creating the best habitat/home for your fish. Go check it out and support Aquadisiac! You and your fish/future fish won’t regret it!

The guys are very helpful and friendly. They sell only freshwater fish and they don’t stock huge amount of fish at a time. HOWEVER, their fish are always very healthy and the tanks are clean. The price is reasonable despite expensive store location. The owners seem to also care about the fish wellbeing, and they don’t try to sell fish to you at any cost. The fish I bought from them, from tetras to angels, have survived major disease outbreak and ammonia strikes since the early days I began my aquarium hobby without experience, while many other fish from other sellers did not. I also received lots of helpful advice from the owner as regards water treatment and fish medication. 6/5 stars for customer service and business ethics. Several years ago, I bought fishes from different stores in and around the eastern suburbs. All the fishes from Aquadisiac lived healthily. Quite a number of fishes from other stores however did not live long, mostly died from diseases within a couple of months. I then realised the fish tanks in Aquadisiac were well-developed tanks with gravel and plants. Tanks in other stores are mostly blank holding tanks to get fishes in and out quickly. Aquadisiac also have tanks that are holding fishes that are not for sale. It seems the owner of the store is an aquarium enthusiast and care about the health of the fishes. That would explain why the fishes did not experience tank shock and develop diseases. For 5-6 years, I have been getting fishes from Aquadisiac and very happy about the results.

Amazing service and very knowledgeable! Chris and Daniel know their stuff and have been a huge help with our 3 tanks. If you are setting up a tank or love your current setup, you have to check out this shop. Yesterday I popped into Aquadesiac and got reeds with the most amazing roots, some more gorgeous fish and stones and it was much better value than other places I have been. They test water and tell you what to do if there is an issue, it is down-to-earth, honest service from people who obviously know their fish. Ask them about the super rare fish (not for sale) in the middle tank!

One of the best service ever, if you are starting a fish tank they will help you with everything ....then afterwards, had advise and guidance for me for any issue. Dying fish, dirty tank...whatever. We have one in office and one in home. As we were buying more stuff they (without asking) they gave us discounts. Our fish died and they replaced for free. Two guys there super helpful. They have time for everyone. Which means that if you have a couple of people in front of you ...be patient as they give every customer equal and appropriate attention. STRONGLY RECOMMEND THEM

Love this shop. Such an awesome range of fish and supplies available. The owner Chris is very helpful and has an amazing attitude. The kind of customer service we wish all businesses had these days. Nothing is too much trouble! He even orders special fish in just for me and gave me some medicine to treat the tank as a precaution too (and then didn't charge me for it!). The prices are very reasonable and the location is great too - just tricky to find parking. I find the weekends to be super busy, and quieter during the week. Highy recommend Aquadisiac.

The absolute best fish shop I have ever been to. Sells quality fish and has quality customer service. I bought my fish tank and fish (betta, panda corydoras, pygmy corydoras, and neon tetras) from them about a year ago. I got my tank aqua-scaped (by the owner, Chris) and it looked absolutely phenomenal! It even came with a free mystery snail who is still alive to this day and is thriving. I also recently bought some cherry shrimp and they seem super happy and healthy. 10/10, would recommend ditching Pet barn and checking this place out.

Absolutely amazing in every way! We purchased an aquarium for our daughters birthday, and from the get go Chris was just amazing, helping us choose a tank and all the fish we required, he literally did EVERYTHING, he set the tank up and delivered it to us so we would have it for her birthday morning and also offered to come over and do the first clean to show us how to do it. You will just not get service like this anywhere else. Thankyou so much Chris your guidance and patience has been absolutely exceptional and we appreciate so much!

A big thank you to Daniel for testing my milky garden pond water sample and talking me through how to care for the pond during this strange La Niña summer. I walked out of the store with lots of useful advice eg running my pond pump for more hours of the day, how to propagate duck weed, what changes in behaviour to watch for in my fish, without spending a cent. After such fantastic customer service I will be back to restock my pond with fish when I'm happy the pond bacteria has returned to a healthy balance.

Knowledgeable, polite, Pete knew exactly what he was talking about. Passionate about Siamese Fighting Fish - makes an adoptive parent feel a little ashamed - and his suggestions about how to help my ailing little Kaos were about the care of my fish, not selling me unnecessary stuff. Instead of pushing me to buy a filter, he told me to try some medicine. Actually made me more inclined to buy. Small shop but but packed full of fish tanks with fish. Do recommend.

Love this aquarium shop. Chris behind the counter is so helpful, patient and generous. Really knowledgeable and a great selection of fish in store. Definitely only buying and seeking advice from these guys. Not only have they helped set up and maintain my tank, they've tested the water, answered all my questions, humoured my 4yr old and thrown in a couple baby fish and various bits when able for free. Fantastic customer service, care and value !

Super helpful and knowledgeable! We are moving interstate and the Aquadisiac team have been so generous with their knowledge in guiding us through exactly what we need to do to transport our fish with us. I wasn’t even sure we would be able to take them, but Aquadisiac have sorted us right out with everything we need. They’ve been really generous with their time and knowledge in helping us understand the process. Really great service and advice.

Chris and Matt are two great blokes who are (1) extremely knowledgeable about fish, (2) very generous with both their time and knowledge, (3) friendly, (4) care about your tank and want you to have the best fishkeeping experience. They're there to help you enjoy the hobby. I live literally 5 mins walk away from another aquarium but I always drive 20 mins to Aquadisac for any purchases no matter how big or small.

As a new aquarium owner, I’ve visited several aquariums since January and I am so glad I found these guys. They know their stuff inside out, they took time to listen to all of my questions on several occasions and they genuinely care. They went out of their way to help me when a water change went horribly wrong and I couldn’t be more grateful. I wouldn’t use anyone else for my aquarium needs. Thanks guys

Chris is the fish God! I’ve had fish all my life and never come across such better service and commitment to healthy pets. The store has a wonderful selection. We had a health issue with our Axo and Chris helped us out straightaway and we got it back to happy! Such a great human - so lucky to have this store in our neighbourhood!

I visited the store today and there was a sign out saying "Be back in 5 mins". I waited for over half an hour for someone, but no one came. My fish is unwell and I only had my one-hour lunch break to visit the store to buy a few things for my fish. Very upset.

Thank you to Aquadesiac for finding my fish a new home. It was sad to say goodbye to the fish I have had for years and unable to continue to look after, and the man at the shop comforted me and left me feeling positive that they will go on to a good home.

Should change the opening time. Supposed to open at 10am on a Saturday. We arrived and a sign was up saying we ‘open at 12 today.’ We saw this at 11:45. We ended up waiting out the front for an hour before giving up and going home. Poor customer service

Aquadisiac stocks a fantastic range having all the regulars and a rotation of eye catching specialty fish. I am always amazed by the knowledge and assistance Chris provides! The health of fish and range of products is hard to beat.

This guy certainly knows his stuff and has a great collection of simple and exotic aqua life. This place used to be in Surry Hills on Bourke St. Now it's on Oxford st in Paddington. Nothing's changed its just got better...

Chris is a passionate fish lover. He is very knowledgeable and eager to assist with anything you need. He makes time for you and will actually come to your house to help you set up your fish tanks.

The boss is very nice, professional and helpful. The shop isn’t big but there have a lot things. And the price is fair, I know I won’t get things from there is expensive compared with other shops.
