I went to AD on July ~25th, 2022 as I was having issues with two products. This was my second time there. While one guy was trying to figure out a Big Digital Temp alert's alarm function another guy, I think it was Hussain, but this time with a perm, I told him that the ORCA Unterwasserleber came with no detailed instructions, he thought for a while and then replied "Everyone else uses it". (What an As**ole?) What he thought, I wanted to return it, honestly I said, It came with no instructions? Could he not tell me how to use it as it's a product he sells on his friggin website? Another customer was more helpful, he said Youtube it, Hussain looks at me funny. What going on, am I missing something? I am used to using CorAffix and D-D Epoxy, and I thought I'd give this stuff a try. The other associate had said this Thermometer does not do that, though Rainbow LifeGards instructions said it does, but I couldn't figure out how to get it to work, so I guess nor could he. He said it is not returnable because I have used it. Unbelievable, I'll just buy nothing from now how's that. I did not come in the store for a fight, ridiculous. I gave this shop two stars because they keep stock of other different and interesting aquarium products, but I guess it's back to good 'ol Big Al's. Never had an issue with Al's since 1995, do you find this all weird, what's going on? I guess they don't like me at AD judging from their initial reception. But it does not matter, I can always quit this hobby as I don't find this at all relaxing for a hobby anymore? By the way, an instore credit note of $200.00 would make me happy again. DISCLAIMER: This is just my opinion of what transpired, and it does look like a Great Place.

This is my second review posted here, and it is nothing short of warranted. I currently run a total of 5 salt water tanks, four being reefs. Biggest is 280 gal total water volume with full UV/ato/dosing. Since finding Aquarium Depot, I have bought 100% of my equipment and livestock from them. The health of the corals and fish far exceed the quality/health at any other LFS. My only fish mortalities were two jumpers (firefish and diamond goby). Out of a total of about 25 fish bought from them, (including tangs and wrasses), I would call that pretty amazing. All fish are treated with care and respect, and they are 100% upfront with the medications they used. This is the only store I have found in the GTA and surrounding areas that is as honest and caring as these guys are. It says a lot that they are willing to take you in the back and show you the hospital/holding tanks with stock thats not yet showroom ready. Can't wait to see the new store evolve over the next few years. For reference, I drive 1.5 hours to this store from Kawartha Lakes because they are just that good. 1000/10 recommend.

Husein and his team at Aquarium Depot are next to the Best in the market. They make things easily achievable at reasonable price for you. What makes them stand out is the extra mile they go to provide their services. I had an incident where I needed an important plumbing part in a Sunday evening which I broke on my Reese’s reefer while doing maintenance. Red Sea plumbing parts are metric so hard to find locally in Home Depot it Lowe’s. I reached out to Husein who was kind enough to take the exact part from one of his floor model and give it to me. That I believe saved my tank because without the emergency drainpipe I would not have been able to start my system which could have than crashed my tank. He did not even ask me money for that. This is why I will always support him. A customer service like this only few can provide. Good luck my friend we are lucky to have Husein and Aquarium Depot around.

THEY MESSed UP MY SHIPPING.....but I have to say after calming down it was not there fault , could of happend to anyone. It happend in the process of them giving me a significant discount , wich ultimately i am grateful for ,the overnight shipping was changed to ground shipment.... My self being a stress cadet was all over this going back and forth with them , they offerd some solutions , just couldn't fit my schedule but they did offer . All in all I'll have to wait but the fella I was dealing with in email was pretty solid , all round tryed to do what ever he could. This will be my 5th order from the west coast of Canada and other then this little hiccup I give them a solid 9.9 out of ten, overall definitely still my go to reefing company. Thx guys / sorry for being a stress case.

This place constantly amazes me! They really do go out of their way to please their customers. Not only have I gotten great quality products here, stuff I haven’t come across elsewhere, but the staff are very knowledgeable and quick to offer tips when asking for advice. It’s because of that personal relationship the staff helps foster that I’ve come to prefer this place to big chain aquatic stores. Today I went in to purchase some salt water and was told they don’t sell salt water. I had accepted this answer when the manager told me to give him a minute because he had a personal supply in the back and was willing to sell me some of it. I was amazed at how determined he was to help me find what I needed. Never have I experienced such amazing customer service before!!

I can't even believe the above and beyond service I received from Hussain at Aquarium Depot. He reached out to me to inform me that the species of fish that I had ordered to have delivered had not been handling shipping well and went above and beyond to work out a way for me to receive the fish safely, putting the welfare of the animal and my satisfaction first. That level of care and service is not something I see often, I will be a lifetime customer. They also have the best selection of quality dry goods I've seen in the area. If you're looking for it, chances are Aquarium Depot has it. I couldn't be more impressed or happy with my shopping experience.

This is my second time I ordered with them. I have to say by far the best price in town (at least 10%-15% cheaper) than any other shop. The customer service is great. The persons I spoke to are very helpful and polite. I went just before the store closing. My items were waiting for me and I was able to get something I didn't order online. However the associate was able to get them from their inventory. I will definitely shop with them again. I wish their Toronto store opens soon as Its a long drive to Mississauga but its worth it. Keep up the good work guys!!!

The service my girlfriend and I received from Aquarium Depot absolutely blew me away. Hussain and his team were extremely friendly with a very impressive amount of knowledge on all things related to the hobby. Hussain answered my (many) questions in a friendly manner and was able to explain and recommend products to me in a clear and concise manner and made a somewhat difficult hobby easy to understand. Although his store is a 40 minute drive from my home it is absolutely worth the commute for the fantastic service you'll receive. Recommended.

We drive from Barrie just to go to AquariumDepot for the best service ever. Hussain and his crew are the best - there is no "stupid question" you can ask, they know what they're doing, they won't push a sale on you just to make money - they will tell you "you don't need that", and they will take time explaining everything to you - I would give 10 stars. Hussain, Kris and all the staff at AD always provide an excellent level of customer service and support. On two separate occasions, I purchased equipment that was delivered defective from the manufacturer. They replaced both items no questions asked and apologized for the inconvenience as if it was their fault. I just recently got back into the hobby after a long hiatus and have no intention of shopping elsewhere. They are passionate about their business and it shows. Keep up the great work guys.

Up until today we had only ordered online with Aquarium Depot. We have been very pleased with the online service. Today we visited the Mississauga store. It was much smaller than I expected. They have one large coral tank. It was awesome, well stocked and very clean. They also have a variety of aquarium products for sale. The staff person was very knowledgeable and helpful. Probably helped that we were the only customers in the store at the time. We bought 3 coral species. We will return.

Hussain, Amil and the whole team are really fantastic. Whether I’m there in-store or buying online, they’re always going the extra mile for me as a customer. Prices are amazing, but never at the cost of sacrificing the quality of their products, or the well-being of the livestock. A great store to check out if your interested in the marine hobby! The staff were able to answer and questions I had Aswell and point me in the right direction. I must say the cleanest kept coral display tank out of many stores I've been to recently. Found out it was a new location and must say they have done an amazing job. Definitely will be coming back in future.

This shop is one of a kind because of the owner. There are many places that sell aquarium equipment but there is only one Aquarium Depot. have been is some very difficult situations in the past risking to lose thousands in my tank. Hussain goes over and beyond trying to help and saved me more then I can remember. Best store for dry goods in the gta hands down.

I had some issues with UPS resulting in a lost package, submitted a claim with UPS and got it dealt with fairly quickly by Hussain and his team. Very fair pricing and quick to dispatch orders. I will be ordering from AD again but using a different carrier. It’s hard to support local LFS when their prices and stock don’t come close to AD’s. Thanks!

Came across Aquarium Depot when I first got into the reefing hobby and ordered a few items from them. Had the best prices in town and has a great selection of brands to choose from. Hussain is also a stand up guy to deal with. Now every time I need something I order from them. Shipping is also fast and reliable. Highly recommend!

I was looking to buy salt for my reef tank. So I googled and found this place. This is a new store. So I decided to check it. I was not disappointed. Its all I needed. Great prices and nice clean setup. They have one big frag tank and a few fish. They are building more frag tanks. Corals are healthy. Staff is very helpful.

There was a mistake with one of my shipping, i have to say that it was the first time, so i took pictures and send them (i always take pictures when i unboxes my stuff so its easyer when there is a problem) and they gave me a new product with a compensation and it was resolve fast. The place is a little hard to find and once you are in you don't feel like you are in a store but a warehouse. They should be opening the true store right on site in the summer of 2023. The staff is friendly and helpful and their prices are good so it is definitely worth the detour!

I’ve been buying supplies from Hussein when he was selling out of his garage. I went to his recent grand opening, bought something and entered the raffle and ended up wining a AIO tank. I honestly wasn’t expecting it and if this doesn’t prove he’s legit honest I don’t know what is.

I've purchased all my chemicals and substaintial amount of my hardware from here, and they are fantastic. Same-day delivery in the GTA is great, and if you go into the store they know their stuff and can offer good advice. Hands-down, best place for aquarium dry goods in the GTA.

Ordered dry goods online and they shipped the same day. Arrived via Canada post with tracking number the next day! It’s a silly thing, but the packaging had adorable colourful reef sticker tape to close the box and it made me smile.
