Phenomenal mechanical work and customer service, best shop I have had work done at! I was recently referred to "Armstrong Automotive" after the shop I have been using for 20+ years closed suddenly. I am happy to say that I have found a new shop for all of my automotive repair needs. I took my 2013 Elantra in to a dealership for a repair estimate. It came back at almost 4k of work. I had reservations about what I had been told by the dealership and decided to have Quinn at Armstrong take a look at it. From the moment I walked in the door and met Quinn, I was comfortable that I had come to the right place. Quinn reviewed the unpriced list of repairs provided by the dealer, and as he did he said "I'll check what they have listed and let you know if there is anything that DOESN'T need to be done." OMG!!! He didn't say, I'll see if there is more to be done that the dealer missed. No, he implied he suspected that the quote was over inflated with unnecessary repairs. Quinn then said he would call in a few hours and tell me what he found. True to his word. I received his call, and what a surprise! First he identified almost $600.00 of work and parts replacement on the quote that wasn't needed. Quinn then went on to identify some issues that had not been addressed by the dealer. One of the main issues I took the car in for was completely ignored, and none of the maintenance issues identified would have fixed that problem. All in all, Armstrong Automotive saved me over $1,000 in work that wasn't needed and I was able to redirect those funds to other needed repairs that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to complete. So, to say the least, I was thrilled with the price and service, but Quinn wasn't done with his surprises, as I was leaving he told me he had my headlight, turn signal and taillights cleaned and polished. They look brand new! And never a charge for the additional work! If you need automotive repair work done, this is the place to go. I've been using Armstrong Automotive for my major auto repair needs for several years now, and I always go back because I have 100% confidence in their honesty and ability to repair my car with quality parts in a timely manner at a fair price. Quinn and his team do a great job, and they stand behind their work. Recently, I took my wife's 2013 Ford Escape in due to an unusual sound coming from underneath the car when the steering wheel was turned to either side. I thought the cause might have been a failing steering rack or a bad linkage. I was bit surprised when Quinn diagnosed it to be failing strut mounts, since his team had only replaced the struts and mounts 14 months prior. When I explained this to Quinn and showed him the receipt, he said that even though the parts were well out of warranty, they should last many years and that he would contact his parts supplier to see what he could do. Even if the parts were provided free-of-charge from his supplier, I was still fully expecting to pay for labor. Much to my surprise, Quinn replaced the struts and strut mounts completely free of charge! I have a decent understanding of auto mechanics, as I typically perform my own vehicle maintenance, and a less reputable auto mechanic could have probably convinced me that other steering parts would have needed replacement (at unnecessary costs to me). I appreciate Quinn's honesty and integrity, and will continue to utilize his team's services for my major automotive repairs.

My power steering wasn’t working so I brought it there they did a scan on it and the cost was 2100 they advise me not to fix it to get a different car. They did charge me 150 for the scan which is over the usual amount. I had a scan for free one time at a transmission place and I can get it done at AutoZone for free I think that was overpriced it should’ve been more like $79. They said my battery was dead in the morning after I dropped it off I have never had any trouble with my battery and I still don’t. It’s pretty new so somebody must’ve been in it with the lights on or something. Usually they’re very good there but this wasn’t a good experience for me I’ve used them several times in the past and I was happy. I didn’t call back to see more about what was wrong with my car which is still not fixed and he was very nice to give me information about it I still don’t have any solutions for my car and can’t afford another one. Still looking at what to do .I want to recommend this place because they do do a good job . I wish places like this one use used parts or something.to reduce price.

Well let me tell y'all about this place! I think I'll have to stay up here in the north because this is the only mechanic place I TRUST! First of all my alternator went out. I had a mobile mechanic come out to see me and did not fix my issue, said it was the battery, the car died again and took $100 from me. I'm a parent and needed my car back working stat! I was very frustrated after my experience with the mobile mechanic and found these guys right down the street for me. The website alone told me they care about their business which was a great sign. I called right at 7 AM and they told me to bring it in and that they would diagnose it for FREE. All along it was my alternator and they fixed it same day. Their shop is super clean. I don't think I've ever seen a shop more immaculate than this one. My car has been running perfect and I don't want anyone else working on my car. Yes go to them!

I needed a trustworthy mechanic to do a pre-purchase inspection for me as I was looking to purchase a used car. Based on the rating and positive reviews, and the fact that they are family owned and operated, I chose to go to Armstrong Automotive and I'm glad I did. I actually ended up bringing two different cars in to be checked out. Both times Quinn and Kyle took care of me. They answered all my questions, did a thorough inspection, let me know their thoughts, and offered helpful advice. I appreciated Quinn, the shop owner, personally taking the time to talk with me which helped me feel more confident and better able to make an informed decision. I plan to bring my cars here the next time I need a mechanic. I'm glad I found this shop, feel they are trustworthy, and would recommend them to all my friends and family.

Believe the good reviews! I usually don't leave reviews, but I feel this is deserved. I needed a pre-purchase inspection performed on a BMW that I was interested in buying from a local dealership. Since I was purchasing the car sight unseen, I needed a trusted mechanic to go over the car. Upon inspection, Chris found that the control arm bushings were bad. When I reported this to the dealership, they claimed there were no such issues even going as far as calling Chris and arguing with him. I called Armstrong back and the owner, Quinn, offered to have another mechanic look at the car free of charge - again finding the same issue. I am very satisfied with their service and was charged a very reasonable fee. Thank you Armstrong!

Armstrong Automotive has always been fair and honest in all the years we have been going there they go out of their way to take care of us, and their prices are fair and less expensive than anyone else we have used. One very busy hot day the motor on the driver side window broke with the window down. Because they were close I went into the dealer because they were much closer. They wanted to charge $145 just to look at it, and $700 to fix it and didn't have the part in stock. I called Armstrong and they checked the price on the part, agreed to order it right then and installed it the next day for $350.

I am new to the area and was looking for a family-owned automobile shop. Other google reviews gave this place great ratings, so I gave them a shot. My engine light was on which I had been dreading because I assumed it would be an expensive and/or time consuming fix. My car went in at 2 and was ready by 4. I was also not charged for anything because it was a problem with my gas cap and they put air in my tires. The entire experience was very pleasant. I highly suggest Armstrong Automotive!! I will definitely be going back with any future problems.

They have taken care of our 5 plus cars for over 10 years with prompt, honest, thorough, value service. We take them in, or they can arrange to have them picked up. Our most recent example is we took our Jeep in for routine maintenance, and we mentioned the radio speaker was broken and asked if they could fix it. Turned out it was not just a speaker it was a special amplifier and speaker unit built into the center console and were able to get it replaced for us. If they can't do something, they know the best who can. I highly recommend.

Great experience overall. My car was having trouble, and they very quickly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed the same day. On top of that, I noticed later that they had done some extra things, like rotated my tires, and taken care of some minor maintenance stuff without charging me for it. The price for the repair was more than reasonable, and it was obvious that they took their time and made sure everything was done right. I highly recommend these guys, and I will be going back any time I have future problems.

Honest/Fair family owned shop. After bringing my vehicle to an AAMCO (Cave Creek) for some speedo and intermittent shifting problems the manager there eventually recommended a rebuild. Being skeptic, I took my car to Armstrong (referred by a friend) for a second opinion. Long story short, my issues were an output vehicle speed sensor as well as some wiring issues. Did not need to rebuild my transmission. Would 100% recommend this shop.

I come here for all my Auto needs. They tell me what needs to be fixed, or I bring in issues and they let me know if I need it taken care of right away or if it can wait. I recently brought in a vehicle that had sitting for a while and they only addressed what needed done. They never call or bug me for service or mailers. They are just a great, busy, auto shop, that knows well how to take care of customers and ther vehicles.

Time has a way of revealing things, and such is the case with this mechanic. After many years of doing business here and sending others their way we are now left to wonder how often we have been taken advantage of. This mechanic has clearly demonstrated that he is in business for motives other than that of integrity, genuine honesty and trustworthy customer service. A costly lesson learned.

Absolutely top notch. We were traveling through and had a strange issue with rear end of our pickup. I couldn't figure it out. My brother who lives in Phoenix recommended this shop. They diagnosed correctly an unusual problem. They sourced a hard to find set of parts. And they expedited things for us. The price was fine and honest. I mean it when I say absolutely top notch and trustworthy.

This place is outstanding! I took my Jeep in thinking I was going to have to replace the transmission due to a DYI project gone wrong and was prepared to pay heavily for it. The problem was an oil cooler. Less expensive and quicker to fix. The folks there could have taken advantage of me and told me I had two problems. Very professional, and very honest which is hard to find this quality in business anymore. My Lexus radiator needed to be replaced and they completed the work in a timely manner. The antifreeze had blown out all over the engine and below. When I drove out the engine and area looked like new. Prices very reasonable for quality work. I very highly recommend them for any car service.

We have been here once for an estimate and 2nd for an actual repair (driver window motor replacement) They are ALWAYS very friendly and up front. As a woman they didn't rip me off, or make me feel less than & they did great work! Not even 24hrs and our van was ready! My brother recommended the place to us and we couldn't be happier! I found the best place to have work done on on my vehicle. The clear coat on my car’s hood was peeling. They repainted it and put on a new clear coat as well as small touchups on the rest of the exterior. My vehicle was ready two days early. Their work is professional and thorough. They run a good business, and I am very pleased.

Armstrong did a fantastic job on my CR-V. They quoted 7-10 days and delivered it in 3. Price was accurate within pennies to the estimate and was very competitive with other companies. They were pleasant to work with and I'd use them again for future repairs.

Took them a month to fix a torque converter on my jeep and to replace a crankshaft position sensor and charged me for 8 quarts of tranny fluid and i left there and my tranny was slipping hard and it was 3 quarts low i won't go back to them
