Took my daughters Mk 5 Golf to Jono as the air conditioning was not work (a regular issue with this model). His knowledge of VW’s is amazing as was the work and the price that he charged to repair (about half that of one quote I received). He has a real passion for what he does and enthusiastically engages with you to explain the work that is required and is transparent in all aspects. My wife and I have current model VW’s and we will be taking them to Jono from now on. Would much prefer to give the work to someone who you know will care for the vehicles they repairs. I had my VW Polo GTI looked at here when issues were coming up with the engine, Jono not only did the testing for free, (which in other places would have cost an unnecessary amount) but also took the time to show me the test results in person and dicuss in detail at a level a non ‘Car person’ such as myself could understand the issues with it and what the best course of action would be! Very impressed with the friendliness and quality of service received and would definitely recommend Artarmon Auto and Mechanical to anyone looking for a VW auto mechanic specialist :)

I will only be seeing Jono as my mechanic from now on. He did the major service on my Toyota Aurion and he did an excellent job and I am without a doubt definitely the most fussiest client he has ever had. He answered all my questions and concerns, very knowledgeable and provides a great service and he's an excellent genuine guy. The price was also very cheap, about half of what the dealership would have charged and the dealership apprenticeship would never have matched this quality.

My pathfinder wouldn't go into reverse whilst I was out and about in Sydney so I got it towed here. The guys diagnosed the problem straight away. Unfortunately for me my car needed a new gearbox, and the guys talked me through the options and costs. I've never had such helpful mechanics before. Not only did they fully explain things to me but they also somehow managed to put a positive spin on what was otherwise a terrible day for me, and can't thank them enough for that!

Jono is approachable, genuine and a complete professional. Artarmon Auto and Mechanical charged a very reasonable price for the work done on my car, Jono doesn't look for problems that aren't there to try and get more money out of you like i've experienced with some mechanics in the past which is refreshing. I recently bought a golf second hand and took it to Johno for a major service. He gave me a good deal of info about the history of the car, got it running smoothly and fixed all the little niggles it had, even gave it wash foc. The price he gave for the work was very reasonable and definitely less than I was expecting. Highly recommended!!

I had an issue just for one day last week with the auto transmission on my Honda, so I called Joey. He said I could bring in the car on the same day just to have a look at it. He took it for a drive with the diagnostic scanner plugged in, and didn't charge me since everything checked out fine. Good guy.

I am near sure it’s been a month since I was with Jono to go over my van. I’m writing this review now as I’ve been meaning to do but kept forgetting. Mans a legend, honest and straight down the line. He was well worth the find after being around the block only wish I had went there first up.

Our VW had an intermittent starting issue which could be linked to multiple causes. We are lucky to find Jono who spent considerable time running several tests to help find the root cause and fixed the issue permanently. Our car drives like a new one now. Would highly recommend Jono!
