I went to buy my daughter a twin sized bed. Jesse Salazar was my salesperson. He walked me to the kids area and said look around and he sat down at a table and was messing with his phone. There was never a conversation about price range or what I was really looking for. My daughter chose a bed and I decided to go up one size to a full size bed, Mr. Salazar should me 3 mattresses total and never gave me a price. The first mattress was horrible and you could feel every spring poking through, the second was better, but the third was fantastic. I also added a dresser and mirror. Financing was done and he asked if I wanted to put money down or not, he said it would make my monthly payment cheaper that was all, I opted not to since my monthly payment was already low. He never described all the different options I had towards financing he just assumed I would prefer 60 months no interest. My husband was unable to go with me but after telling him what I bought he was very upset I spent so much on a mattress for a 9 year old, first thing Monday I called to cancel the mattress. Supposedly it was canceled but I never received an updated invoice. I was browsing online trying to find a dining room table I liked and ended up finding out that the prices online were completely different then in the store and there was a $560 difference in what I was charged versus what was online. I reached out to Jesse who stated that was a different offer with only 6 months no interest and I would have had to put money down. I explained that he never made that offer and I would much rather of gone that route. He said I would have to go back in person to resign paperwork if we changed it but he would keep the 60 month no interest and give me a discount on some of the pieces. Satisfied with that we hung up. Again I never received an updated invoice, so I sent him a message and asked him to please send it this was the next say. Mind you delivery was already scheduled and confirmed. Also I assumed he knew I cancelled the mattress once he got into the system to give me a discount so I never mentioned it. The next day when he sent the invoice I noted that the mattress was still showing up, I asked him why via text, he immediately sent a message that sounded rude and angry which I assumed due to poor punctuation and missing words. He said all the deals he made with me were based off the sale of the mattress, and he would be canceling my entire order. I asked him if he had cancelled it and he never responded. I never received an email, text, or call confirming the order had been cancelled. On the day the furniture had been set up for delivery I received messages that the driver was headed my way, I had to ask my neighbor to inform them the order was cancelled and to not accept any merchandise. I called Ashley’s again and spoke to Karla who stated yes my order was cancelled by Jesse but it hadn’t been processed yet and she would message the drivers to cancel it but they still showed up. She then stated I had to wait 48 hours and call back to ensure it has been cancelled. This was a huge mess and very frustrating. I have been a loyal customer of Ashley’s and have bought many pieces of furniture over the years and always paid it off and before my time never missing a payment. I will no longer support Ashley’s after this incident!

Me and my fiancé went to Ashley Furniture Homestore on SW Military in search of a new sofa for our new home . We wanted something big to accommodate our growing family but also needed it in a timely manner as we are expecting family from out of state to be visiting in 2 weeks. The sales Manager Jesse was quick to assist , showed us some furniture pieces and explained the different options as to color pattern, turn around time to receive the item and financing options as well as asking what we want from a sectional like comfort level, size, and aesthetic expectation to give the natural flow of balance in our home. After explaining everything he let us take our own time trying every couch out and space to talk and discuss within each other before coming back to check on us. His approach was very friendly and straight forward . No ounce of pressure to rush and pick something . As soon as we made a decision , we went forward with financing and was out within a hour. This was a simple thorough enjoyable process. I’m glad we chose Ashley and would definitely recommend Jesse to family/friends. Customer service was great not only by him but his staff too. It’s great to be heard on what you want for your home and not just looked at as person looking to put forth a sell. Overall 10/10 experience. Oh and let’s not forget to mention , they do offer delivery of course but we opted to pick up our new furniture as we needed it sooner so making sure your item is in stock and ready to go is a plus!

BUYERS BEWARE !!! If I could give half a star, I would . A Recent transaction was made in which we were advised to obtain items after a period of time. As they were not ready to be released, although we paid for it.?? Thus returned, as advise just had returned it to stock because we didn’t pick it up !!!! Again when the purchase was made, we offered to take it home. for some cockamamie story that they were not available to be released although they’re on the sales floor for sale . granted it was was a clearance item, but they stay advised that they could not release the item at that time of sale?so we promptly waited and then we returned 48 hours later they said the transaction was canceled, “Your Ashley account should’ve been credited“ additionally, we attempted to go pick it up on this past Tuesday 10.3.2023 at 8 PM although the hours of operation say they’re open till 9 PM on the door on the website, the doors are locked and no one came to the door amazing Hope you guys go out of business. It’s all about leadership and it’s clearly absent at this location on South San Antonio don’t even bother to call us as we simply wasted of time. This is the first one star review I’ve done the past five years. I’ve been doing reviews and I hope management values this feedback get it fixed.

Update to 5 star review 11/7 We will NOT be visiting this store any more. We placed our order and paid for it in full that day and we have recently found out that our order won't be here until Mid December. After placing 2 phone calls about our expected delivery, we were finally told that the material has been on back order since the day we purchased the items even though we were assured it would be less than a week to get our items. Ashley Furniture was VERY quick to take our money but slow on picking up the phone. Not once did we receive any type of communication about our order. The only way we found out about the back order was by trying to confirm we were on for our rescheduled delivery date after the original delivery date was canceled due to our supposed lack of response on delivery confirmation even though there was NEVER any attempted contact to my husband or myself. We will definitely not be recommending Ashley Furniture in the future. 10/29 When we walked in they was only one salesman who approached us, gave us his name, and walked away. NOTHING AT ALL like being at a car dealership which was really nice. Chris the man helping us was very nice and quick with the paperwork one we did decide on our purchase. Would recommend going to this location.

I did a lot of online shopping before going out to the store, and I am so glad I decided to go. The pictures and descriptions of various furniture store sites were good, but paled in comparison to getting eyes and hands on the displays. The experience made it much easier to imagine the furniture in my home, and the sales associate was very helpful. Once we realized that the dining set we chose online was not what we expected, the sales associate was able to gather our feedback and recommend a few options. We went back and forth between displays for a while, and the sales associate answered all of our questions with out the “high pressure sales tactics” that everyone hates. Inspecting the furniture in person allowed us choose a better product. Even though we spent more money, it was better than buying something that was shipped to the house and then returning it after being disappointed with the quality. Once we made a decision the sales associate made the purchase process easier, having already checked the warehouse for availability. I would most definitely recommend the Zarzamora/Military Dr. location of Ashley Furniture to anyone.

Worst service ever. Customer service is terrible, never able to get a hold of a supervisor or anyone from the store. My couch is in terrible condition. No one is helping with the situation, I have been getting the run around since February. I’ve been told I’ll get call backs & never once receive them. I had a technician come out to service the couch & he didn’t even leave a report to help me with an exchange. He took a look at the couch & said it should not be in this condition for only getting it 3 months ago! Says for it to look like this we would have had it for years. Technician came April 1st (been waiting since Feb) I called on the 4th because I knew they wouldn’t have info, then I was told “oh it takes 24 hours to update” then told “oh it takes 48” & so on. It is ridiculous. Couch makes horrible noises, loose & worn. Service is terrible, for being the “#1 in mattress in furniture in America” there is NO one to speak to directly! Terrible service, lack of respect & communication! I would never shop here again or recommend to anyone.

Fantastic! Thank you! I rushed in, knew what I wanted, my plan was to b in n out quickly. Two kind sales reps were available as I walked in. They were friendly attentive, took care of my request, didn’t push for anything else( thank you!) I was in n out as I had planned. I do owe them a tip ;)Please take this review as such! I appreciate you all’s professionalism, knowledge n friendliness. They made me smile n feel at ease … been having to take care of so much lately, they made it easy. Thank you both!it turned they were quick to sale HOWEVER I specifically requested to have furniture on a Saturday. Delivery date discussed was not honored with excuse Furniture did not pass quality check n it will b deliver with no ETA. The original delivery date has long pass n I’m still waiting at least for n update . They want to sale but other than that at clients request is not taken seriously. They contacted by text today- say “hello how can I help you ?“ once I replied no one answered

Customer service in store was great though very bad with communication on delivery information My delivery date was changed automatically 3x due to my phone number not being changed correctly for method of contact . Keep in mind my order was well over 5000. I contacted customer service 6 times total to change it and confirm delivery. They did "update my phone number "but delivery was still changed due to my number still being incorrect. Went in store 3x and they made sure everything was changed correctly and they said their is nothing else to do and they gave me a phone number to call. The phone number was for the warehouse for those wanting to pick up orders in New Braunfels which had nothing to do with my issue and basically a way for then to get me out of their hair. It was stressful because nobody could help me when giving the resources to call around. The 4th time I finally received my delivery and the delivery employees were very nice.

Domingo was super helpful from the moment we walked in! He was able to find the things that fit my needs and was super patient with me after changing my mind about the table set I wanted. I ended up deciding I wanted a couch also and he helped me pick one out based on the size of my living room and the style requirements. He was also super patient as I consulted my husband on the phone and looked at many different sectionals. I’m really glad we walked in, Ashley’s has a large variety of furniture for every aesthetic and really good financing options. The pricing was also reasonable compared to other places I had visited. I really had a hard time deciding what I wanted cause I loved everything I looked at. My experience there is the best I’ve ever had while furniture shopping. I didn’t feel forced into something I didn’t want or need and I felt like Domingo truly wanted to help me get what would fit my home versus trying to make a sale.

Dont waste your time and money purchasing the warranty. Weve been waiting for our tv stand for over 3 months now. One answers the phone anymore. UPDATE: 4 months removed from my purchsse and the item is still not here. They make it so complicated to redeem the warranty credit. Sorta feels like a scam. We went yesterday and pay for the delivery and we were told noone had to be home as the item will arrive unassembled. Please note we specifically asked this and we once again were mislead. They charged us for a "white glove delivery" which according to their document it includes assembly, set up and removal of packaging. But they claim they wont assemble it now. Why charge me this then? Please stay away from the warranty scam.

Everything was amazing! The furniture is beautiful and of good quality and they have great deals. I’d also like to mention that the service was excellent! Uriel did such a great job showing us around but also giving us out space. No one was pushy, everyone was friendly and helpful. Uriel’s manager also gave us different price points and certainly offered us packages that were in our best interest. Lastly, before I left I got to see a visually impaired customer come with his young daughter. I got to see another sales representative offer his shoulder to the customer to help guide him throughout the store. Amazing!

Absolutely terrible experience. I am in the military and I purchased a protection plan for my couch and recliner after I was assured by James Gaddis that I would be able to get my furniture serviced after I move to North Carolina in the event of any malfunction or damage. The right side of my recliner is no longer working and my recliner has a friction tear from the reclining mechanism. I am now being told that neither Ashley Homestore in North Carolina or San Antonio can help me since they are not a part of the same franchise. If you’re in the military, do not purchase from Ashley Homestore.

The in store service was great but the delivery has been frustrating. Asked for the day off that was set for delivery and no eta was sent or updated when the expected time was near its end. I reached out for an eta and then they stated delivery date was pushed back another 3 days. I called customer care and they stated that delivery will be in 4 days, which I'm not available on. For the inconvenience they were compensating me with a gift card but during the process of telling me how much I would be compensated the phone call is "lost" what an inconvenience. This is just frustrating.

Their sales associate, Tony Hernandez, he's Top Shelf. Personable, professional, and definitely engaged with us as customers. We were going through the home building process, showed Tony the general layout of the living room, and he literally drew pictures to help us visualize. His no pressure guidance and assistance were exactly what we needed. The following week, we went back and bought a bedroom set as well. Ashley’s sale representative was awesome. I was in a pickle and Uriel helped me with getting the furniture I needed the same day for pick up. I spoke with him over the phone and I explained my situation and what furniture I was looking for. He verified and found out that they had it in stock and provided me away to pay and then he had it scheduled for us to be able to pick it up. Smooth sailing on pick up as I had another family member get it, no problems there. Thanks Ashley for great customer service.

Uriel at the zarzamora location is the guy to ask for. Very kind and personable. Sales rep to sales rep he wasn't too pushy and gave me time to look around without feeling rushed. I actually picked a completely different couch.. I LOVE IT SO FREAKING MUCH, turns out he got that one too. 11/10, would recommend and I will be back for more beautiful things ✨ Gave me lots of financing options and would price match online if a better deal. Both Anthony and Christian were knowledgeable and welcoming. They knew the products and what they are individually made for. Only concern I had was mostly for the store itself Most of the products shown were either discontinued and couldn’t get shipped to my new apartment in a timely manner. Their display floor needs to be reworked to show what they actually have in stock to be delivered in that aspect I’ll give it a 1. Major inconvenience. But Anthony and Chris were great

To keep this short, I’m going to summarize. Predatory sales tactics. deceptive price advertising. Deceptive if not, out-right lying on financing terms and conditions. One item started at $2200 then $3900 then with 0% financing for $5800. After walking out of the door they call and offer it for $3000. I will not be a repeat customer. Would only recommend to those who are savvy with street hustle. Would give you zero stars however, won’t let me proceed without at least one.

Sales man was amazing (ofcourse). Quality of furniture is not the best. My 7 yr old couches that I bought used, (quality) was 80% better. I'm very serious. Delivery was horrid. I'm sure everyone deserves a chance but don't be alone during delivery. Don't let them rush out the door. It will cause you so much stress to get something repaired/replaced. And with my delivery it was a huge obvious repair they they tried to rig together and sneak by.

Walked in store, was promptly greeted by sales associate. Told him what I was looking for, he showed me the cheapest option first, then went up to what I bought. Which I appreciated, did not try to sell me the most expensive first. Started at the bottom and worked his way up. Overall great experience. I was in and out of store in 30 or so minutes. He listened to what I was looking for and did not try to sell me anything I wasn’t looking for.

Don't shop here as they will not honor their warranties. The seams were coming undone on a couch cushion and it is within the year's warranty. Their service department says it was normal wear and tear, but how can that be seeing as it hasn't been sat on often as I usually sit on the love seat. Their are other companies to shop from and instead of spending thousands here. I'll spend it elsewhere. Customers, you have been warned.

The company however delivered an incomplete bed to my home that I paid off in full 1700 $ which was missing parts and now they want me to pay for the missing parts that should have come with the delivery.
