No wonder why this store got some one star reviews after their grand opening because They advertised free stuffs and discounted rates on the merchandise but no management on lineups on that day. Some individuals got 3 of the token and the store gave them 3 free stuffs because they got the coupon maybe before the grand opening day from the owner of the store or from the employee. Shouldn't have promised and advertised the "free giveaways". Costumers who lined up from around 8am got nothing. Those who already had the token to get free stuffs they appeared at the the opening time(12pm) and sneaked in at the front of the line and the chaotic scene began. #false advertisement. Police were called. The store lied to all the costumers who lined up since early morning. They only put the sign of the social distancing but didnt really care when it was not being done properly starting from the lineup. The price is also not fair comparing to other small grocery stores. Some items also does not have price labelled so you have to pay whatever is in thier system. very confusing and disappointed with their service as well.
Came here all the way from Airdrie to do some Indian grocery. When we went home and about to eat Punjabi Makhani, realized it was expired. I immediately called them to let’em know that the product was expired. Call attendant said, IT WAS THE ONLY PIECE WHICH WAS EXPIRED AND OFFERED US TO EXCHANGE IT OR CAN TAKE A REFUND. When we went to the store AFTER 4 hours, found out all these PRODUCTS WERE EXPIRED and they didn’t even replace it. Later on they didn’t even cooperate that their customer came here from different city just to do this. GURDEEP (Who introduced as an Owner) SAID THE ONLY COURTESY THEY DO FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS IS, EXCHANGE THE PRODUCT AS NO ONE COMES HERE BY WALK, and DOESNT MATTER IF A PERSON COMES HERE BY DRIVING 30 minutes. Even after 45 minutes, these products were still in the refrigerator. SERIOUSLY MAN ? Still MAKING MONEY OUT OF EXPIRED PRODUCTS?
I wish I could give them ZERO star. Shopped twice in last weeks both times cashier was unprofessional and ignorant. No pleasantries exchange with me or customer In-front of me. Instead on one visit of mine, cashier was discussing her new hair style with other cashier. While I was standing and counting the dust. One man and lady ( assuming owner) in corner gossiping. Also store is not very organized. Same vegetable (Shimla mirch) has two different prices and placed on two different locations. Fruitcana and Sanjha Punjab at-least give better customer service. Why would i shop with Asian Food Centre than? If you are self-respect person than this is not a place to stop unless employer give their immature cashier a training how to treat their customer. If you don't believe check it out for your self. Hopefully customer service will improve after this review.
This store is nice and clean. I go here frequently for shopping. Staff always follow the AHS restrictions and are masked. But this morning, I was very disappointed. I was at the checkout and cashier came but was not wearing mask. I didn't say anything. When she was going to scan she said, "oh I have mask but I don't feel like wearing it." Still I didn't say anything. But she finally she took out a mask from her pocket pit it on. I usually don't complain but this thing is Serious. I work in healthcare, on 12 hours shift you have to wear it for 12 hours. It was sad to see that administration at this store is not enforcing restrictions properly. All staff that were stocking were wearing masks. One person can spoil the image and can bring virus exposure to the store. People are dying and we should take it seriously.
I live in Savanna and was very glad to have found a restaurant that served cholay and bhatooray in the neighborhood and with a price of just $5, it was very irresistible. So i ordered and picked it up and i was quite shocked with the huge quantity of cholay with 2 bhatooray for just $5. The bhatooray looked awesome and next i opened the cholay container thats where thr fun stopped! They looked very unappetizing but I was optimistic that would taste better than they looked and no! They tasted like nothing! Never have i ever eaten anything as tasteless as these cholay. The bhatooray were awesome but the cholay were just plain tragic. Id pay more for a lesser quantity of better tasting food. The owners really need to have a beter cook/chef in the kitchen
Poor customer service☹️. I was there today around 12pm and cashier didn’t follow any protocol for covid. She took the cash and didn’t bother to sanitize her hand or change her gloves and handed my food with same hands. She did-not sanitize the area on counter. If I have the option to give them 0 rating. They der serve 0 rating today. Then, for customer service very poor. They won’t greet their guests no thank you or anything. Very important right now to follow covid precautions which they fail to do. I won’t go back and suggest anybody reading this comment to avoid going to this store. They have high price for everything they have in store as compare to other stores.
Worst Indian Grocery store ever...: They always have rotten produce ... store smells like a fish market and the most important thing these ppl are cheaters... It has happened to me 4 times... the price of the product in the aisle would be different and it will be different when they scan... ppl who have more number of items will not notice but since last 4 times i just had 2-3 items in the list and one or two items are always priced differently...(obviously priced more) which i did brought into cashiers notice twice..: So BEWARE!!!
I was there an hour ago to use the washroom, I asked an old man who was working there and he told me to go to cashier and ask for washroom key. Then i asked cashier for the key, she asked if I’m the customer and I said no and informed her that I’ll be using washroom for a minute. She said you are not allowed to use the washroom, you have to buy something before using a washroom, this was really bad customer experience. She had no respect and need to learn how to treat your customers.
AFC is a huge Indian grocery store consisting of fresh produce, dairy, Indian spices and a whole lot of specific things which would be otherwise hard to find at other grocery stores. The store is huge inside with a huge section of fresh produce right smack in the middle. Once you cross that, you’ll find a couple of isles consisting of spices, dry food items and other products. Towards the end, they have a huge freezer section for frozen vegetables and frozen food items in general.
Worst customer service. I bought this coconut to make sweets and they were all bad. I normally don't like to post bad reviews but this should be addressed. All 6 of them were bad. Also they are placed next to fresh fruits and vegetables. I went back to get a refund/exchange and they said there is nothing they can do about it. Cashier called their owner and they started giving excuses. They said i should have checked the coconuts before buying. Never coming back to this store.
New management is worst than the ones before. We bought some stuff and got it billed. We confirmed pricing before we bought this. Owner stopped us at the door and told us to leave the stuff because price is different and made us to leave the stuff. You can not force customer to get refund or return once you bill them. I would not suggest anyone to do grocery at this store. I would not even give 1 star. Make sure you guys treat your customers good
I went to this store first time and i was talking to my friends that they have more cookies rather than other stuff which was my opinion. One of their staff member ( i believe owner ) heard that which i was not aware of. Later my friend asked for help to find oregano powder to her and she said ask your friend who said store is full of cookies instead of helping us out. Such a bad and rude behaviour. So we left our stuff there and left the store.
I usually shop at this store and its amazing to have everything bought at just one place. The store has huge area consisting of every item specially for an Indian. The workers at the store are friendly and knowledgeable with ease of providing best customer service. Moreover, the kitchen staff is awesome. I tried preety much every dish and each have its own delicious taste. At the end i just wanna recommend everyone to visit at this place.
Attention to the customers Whatever price on the flyer its not the same what you pay at cashier. They charge you higher price. When I called and complained about that, the store owner are so rude and said that we hired a new person, she does not know anything. But when the new girl was scanning the items the price on the pay out was high. This need to be fixed by the owner or manager not that new hired girl. So be careful when you pay.
Another place for Indian grocery. They have lot of stuff, but be careful some of it may be expired. Staff is not helpful... No one comfortable if you ask question. Matter of fact there is kitchen and sell food by plate(aka thali), taste is okay. But it is one person kitchen cook, cashier & everything else. Just an update I met onwer and she is humble and trying to clean up all the expired items in store. Hope it will get better.
We been there for grocery shop, my wife feels to go to the toilet and she ask for the key to the worker, after get the key when she enter the toilet that was bit dirty and there no toilet rolls in there, we request for the toilet roll to the staff of the store but they said we don’t have the toilet roll, are u serious u guys have huge store but u do not provide toilet roll, then why u guys have a public toilet in the store.
Great place to find Indian grocery with reasonable pricing... Well stocked and very neat. One can find pooja items, indian utensils, medicinal spices, vegetables etc.., South Indian staples like Ponni rice, Raw rice, Idly Rice, Ragi flour, Kambu flour, Cholam flour, Kuthraivali flour, tamarind are worth mentioning. They have a take away restaurant and a good variety of desi snacks as well.
I went there to buy groceries. It’s a huge store and lots of variety. Then I noticed, they have a restaurant (take out) there. I thought, I should try out something. I ordered Saag with Makki d Roti it was Tasty then expected. Loved it totally taste like real home made Indian Saag and was Packed with butter on top. Will definitely recommend to Try. Prices are reasonable too.
Large aisles makes it easier to move around... Good selection of items from all parts of India.. The highlight is their kitchen with some delectable eats at pretty decent prices!! I got the Manchurian gravy and bread pakoda.. and they were so yummy.. Next time I will order some food before I start shopping.. I think you can call and order ahead for takeout too
I was a potential customer since the store started my monthly Indian grocery is around $600 dollars, but I was very disappointed on my last two visit as the store is out of stock on Aashirwad multi grain atta. A store which don’t have basic items it’s not worth visiting sorry Asian Food Centre you loss will be someone‘a gain as I am not coming to your store anymore.
Consistently providing good and delicious food. No doubt for that. But now I wanted say Aman is very friendly and hard working. The customer service is excellent and they have great people working there. I must tell the owner Aman cooks really delicious food. So far everything we tried has been great. Good job.
The grand opening was an extreme MESS. No social distancing. Got insider information from someone working that they gave out coupons to ONLY selective people. Shouldn't have promised the free things if they weren't gonna give them, and should have made space for 300 people while keeping the Covid-19 measure.
This store sells lots of expired and closer to expiry date products. When i ask the cashier to inform her manager she said, they are still good for few more days. The vegetable oil they are selling for $9.99 are all expiring on 18th july 2021. Only few would notice this. Be careful in buying products here.
Size doesn’t matter, quality matters. Giant store but Quality wise, it’s a big turn off. Almonds and chic peas, are one of the few examples. You are opening a store in Canada, train your staff with some soft skills. Don’t worry, store will still perform with such turn offs given the huge Desi population.
Staff is friendly girls that works there are quite nice and helpful. But for some reason their vegetables and herbs are not as fresh. Spinach and coriander is never fresh it’s almost looks like couple of days old. And they also don’t have any kind of Organic Daal. Definitely overpriced
I've visit this place (kitchen) on a reference. I must say,,kitchen's fast food is outstanding. I felt like I was having the same Indian Burger i used to have in back home. Girl named Aman was very sweet and she answered my every question patiently and calmly. +She's very good cook.
Outstanding experience. We arrived at the peak time on a Sunday, yet, the service was absolutely flawless. We were blessed to be served by Aman , who was so personable and guided us through the entire menu. Excellent experience with a personal touch that made all the difference.
Have grocery but in fooding worst taste ...i buy samosas and bread pakoda and both have no salt at all and red sauce is too sweet ....very bad taste along with this according to me they need to stop this service if they unable to improve that as it afftects most of the customers
I don’t recommend ordering the food at this place because I just order noodles from this location and I don’t know what there cooking methods are but the noodles were still not made fully cooked. Most likely due cooking in oil temperature that’s to high for optimal cooking.
I canwe here to buy a product it was less but rang on till high, they wasted my 10 minutes and refuse to give that posted price. T hi ey dont respect scan the code, law. Must have good memory to remember prices if you are buying in bulk. I don't recommend to shop here.
Poorly managed store. After reading past reviews i would totally concur about all facts. Especially coconut one. Who sells rotten coconut for Pujaa. No one would prefer to take bad/rotten fruits (coconut) to temple. It seems you are rendering bad coconut to GOD.
Very clean place, organized, nice owners, cheap prices. You can't blame the owners for the masses camping outside since 7am for their grand opening...prices are just that good. So good people literally broke the door to get in. On a normal day, a1 experience.
I really like a store has a large variety of fresh produce, very clean store and friendly customer-service and you will be get every thing easy there, I would like to recommend to everyone please visit that store really really like it . Excellent service
Everything they sale is lower quality that is how they are selling it for low price. We bought different flours, they all were expired and caused food poisoning. Last week, I bought indian millet. It had stones in it. I will never buy anything there.
For employees - Please either wear mask properly or don't wear it all. Wearing a mask just below nose doesn't work. Produce is always stale and old on weekdays. Food handling violation on Jan 21 2021 for selling mould covered potatoes and root garlic
Amazing experience at this store. Staff are friendly and the customer service is top notch. Prices are unbeatable and the quality is also good. I definitely prefer this place over the other Indian grocery stores and definitely be coming back!
Be careful while picking a box of chili. We bought chili box and they told me it’s 25lbs in a box when check the weight it was only 19.2lbs. I called them and they have all the stories to tell me but be careful when you buy from this store.
This place is disgusting. Half the produce I was looking to pick up was already wilted. The carrots looked so old I'm almost certain they'd been sitting there for 2 months. I wouldn't be surprised if this store is just a bunch of dumpster
Worst customer service. I want to buy bed sheets and i showed one bed sheet to my sister on the cashier. She told me its for King bed get the new one for queen. I went their then the lady on the cashier call me back and told me rudely to
This is a good place for shopping Indian groceries. The add-on is you also get good lunch\food here. There are rows of vegetables and fruits in one end. The other end consistes of sweet and savoury. The food has been consistently good.
Price displayed on the shelf is lower and when you go to do the billing they charge you a higher price.. So be careful and always check your bill and see that you are charged the price displayed on the shelf and you do not over pay.
Washrooms at this location are super dirty (garbage spilled everywhere, no toilet paper and very bad smell). Which give a very bad impression on the customers and give sense how they care about the hygiene at the store as well.
I didn't find anything special in particular. Things were not organised on isles. Not going to come here as I live far away. Nothing really exciting. You can get the same stuff in Sanjha Punjab and Fruticana.
We got samosas from them. samosa were old and khattta and then they were like you want fresh samose or the old......hahah who would order old though they give us old ones....holy sh*t....dont go there...
worst customer service, cashiers don’t know anything about it, this is canada you need to work on your service and quality. They still think they are in punjab and overall items are overpriced.
You can find everything for Indian and Pakistani groceries with great prices. Due to Covid its slow everywhere so there fruits and vegetables are a bit old. But overall best store to go to.
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, garage stuff. I bought few items from the store its start smelling after 3 days i took those items back to store and show then instead saying SORRY they start ARGUING
Good customer service, kitchen food really tasty "loved choley bhaturey". Fresh produce and products. Wide range of products with helpful staff. Cashier was really cheerful and helpful.
Food was smelly and in my 11 years in Canada I throw the food away due to the bad smell and taste of it. Cashier has no knowledge of customer service. Will not visits this place again
This place is a huge nasty scam. The employees are so mean and unprofessional. I recommend NOBODY to go here. Go someplace else or don’t buy food ever again if your going here often.
Had an amazing time at the grand opening! Owners are some of the nicest individuals Ive ever met, very kind and always a pleasure to run into them. 10/10 would recommend this place
I bought a chocolate today at this place the chocolate already turned bad as it expired.these guys are selling expired items to there customers. Donot recommend to anyone.
A wonderful place to get all South Asian produces. Located at nice place, good parking space. Staffs are polite and sincere and extending all help and supports to clients.
Pathetic food quality, uncooked samosas, uncooked cholay with so much oil in bhaturas. Many items are extremely expensive. Worst store ever!! Disgrace on Indian Community.
You definitely need to know what you want. Produce wasn't fresh. Good for spices and sweets. I was looking for things I couldn't find anywhere and it was frustrating.
This store doesn’t even deserve 1 star…The cashier lady always stares at your face and No greetings at allover, prices are too high for everything for no reason…
Their customer service is great. The girls are always cheerful and happy to help. However, overpriced for the quality they serve. Needs some organizing I guess.
This review is for their restaurant.. I ordered Kulcha, samosa and cholle bathure .. none of these item were good at all .. It was a waste of money .
O star I have buy mother dairy makhani blue package from them but its very bad pruduct i talk to the lady on countercshe dont givecproper response
Have a wide variety of product available at affordable prices, and provide amazing customer service. Would highly recommend this place to others.
Too much hype about the prices etc but at least the store looked clean! Never tried their kitchen items so no idea about the taste or quality!
Every store ban 'Patanjali stuff, in canada but this store still selling Patanjali Patanjali. Never go there if you support to FARMERS. …
Their washroom stuck when you not purchase anything and they welcome you when you purchase groceries.. very bad experience today 23/12/2023
I buy samosa staff not wear gloves i eat samosa small so bad i think old samosa i buy first time &last time next time me not but any thing
Nice Super Market for all Asians reasonable prices and almost everything avialable for daily routine use and eating good Staff …
Selling old expired product. I bought whole pack of Maggi masala in November 2021 and product was already expired in September 2021
Fresh produce is never fresh all items.. Kitchen staff is great and clean Other then that not a bad store to shop for your needs.
Very poor service I ordered (cholla bhatura) and cholla was under cooked, no salt.worst food I ever ate, please don’t order....
Not worth to order food from their kitchen ..super tasteless .. just save your money .. This was my first time and last time .
A lot of expired food products...even when complained before. Old and bad vegetables. Please don't waste ur time going there.
not much item available ,price were mismatched, i think they take over the older employer. hope it will be ready in few days
5 star for the management and not taking advantage of rice supply issue to inflate the price. Most genuine and honest shop.
Amazing store! I recommend shopping here. I was able to find everything very easily with the help of the friendly staff.
Great job doing the grand opening during a pandemic, oh and super smart to offer free stuff too! Cant wait for wave 3!
Good selection of spices but that’s about it. Go there for eggs and milk and that’s about it. Not much to see here.
I like this store because its very open spaced and clean. I always enjoys the service. Everyone is always helpful.
Love this store. Clean and tons of variety both from Pakistan and india. One of the biggest desi snacks section.
There are Lot of Asian Stuff you Can find here Quality of Products Could b better Not the Best But acceptable...
Spacious store & reasonable prices. But Poor customer service, specially cashiers need to be trained more.
Good customer Service, helpful staff. Wide range of products, fresh produce. Really recommend this place.
Selling old soggy chana Also sold a ripped bag of sher atta with a fake sticker on it Ridiculous people
Staff is very friendly. Cheap prices with great selection! The best asian food store in the city.
Produce is not very fresh. Prices on the higher side compared to other Indian grocery stores.
Just another indian store with vast variety of indian stuff. Much better than sanjha punjab.
worst place..if anything on discount that would be not fresh..over hyped place …
Amazing store! Friendly staff and great prices! Definitely will be shopping there again.
The lady working inside is so disrespectful. Worst place to get curry
Good owners. Good price. Variety is incredibly increasing.
Good place to buy Indian Products. Reasonable prices.
Nice mix of food options
