I just ordered a takeaway coffee- first of all, overall it was great cafe. There was one girl who kept on talking to her “guy friend” who stands in front of the counter. I was patiently waiting but she just kept on talking. In fact, there is another lovely girl who served me and took my order. This girl with glasses, shouldn’t be working there if she think this is classroom and her playground. More importantly I had to wait for more than 10-15 mins while she just move around and it takes freaking ten mins to make one small flat white with her mouth never closed- yuck. Her saliva kept on falling and it was not a good feeling. I made a complaint to the manager saying if she just focus on making coffee instead of taking to her guy friend who just stands in front of the counter, she would have make coffee three times faster. When other staff were all lovely and trying to cover her, she just kept talking and not a good feeling when I received a two cups of take away coffee knowing that probably half of my coffee were fill of her saliva from her non stop talking. yuck. I had to throw away the two coffee and wasted 16 dollars. Hope I have to face this girl with the glasses and her guy friend should know this is a coffee shop not their flirting play ground. Wish her manager have a word with this girl. Gosh, what a waste of time. Overall the atmosphere was great, Hope next time would be better. I really wanted to request my coffee make it again but had no time seriously, when you are there as a barrister to make and serve, Please be mindful and be thinking of others hygiene - instead of laughing talking to your boy friend and taking forever to make coffee -

Sunday brunch should be so fulfilling, enriching and sumptuous that it can’t give you Monday Blues! @auntbilliescafe at Blackburn is a lovely breakfast/brunch spot that has all the right food and beverages to recharge you for the rest of the week. What we had: French toast, which is so out of the world, tasty, has so many layers to make it impossibly irresistible, served with brioche toast coated in cornflakes, rhubarb purée, boysenberry mascarpone, pistachio crumb and vanilla icecream. Strongly recommended. Surrey Mushrooms, such a mouthwatering and a fresh bowl of so many different types of mushrooms, spinach, crispy polenta, basil pesto, buffalo mozzarella, poached eggs. I really loved this one more, because of it’s satisfying taste. Must try. Lamb Shoulder, such an incredibly delicious lunch dish that’s not just very filling but the combination of herb crusted eggplant with 12hr slow cooked lamb shoulder, turned out to be simply divine. Packed with so much flavours of capsicum purée, dukkah confit, garlic labne, burnt sage, butter and toasted baguette. The taste of this dish still lingers in my mind since it’s so refreshing. Strongly recommended. Helena smoothie, so filling and tasted very refreshing. Latte was perfectly brewed with an intense flavour. Loved it. The best thing about their dishes that these are very well presented yet tastes absolutely fantastic and yum. The prices of the menu items are very standard, and the service is very prompt even on a busy weekend morning. They vibe here is very relaxing, with a spacious outdoor and indoor seating area. Perfect spot to stop for a bite over coffee. So guys visit today @auntbilliescafe that knows how to do the right brunch/breakfast/coffee for you.

4.3. This is an excellent cafe that gets all the fundamentals right. It has an excellent menu, space, food and service. It is easily the best cafe in the area from what I’ve seen so far, particularly in the North Blackburn and Nunawading areas. First off, it’s a decently styled light filled cafe. It’s well designed and laid out. It has interesting shapes and textures throughout including a light wood feature wall, numerous funky light fittings and a good number of tables. There’s also a decent sized and shaded outdoor area. They have a very good hipster style menu here. There are stacks of good choices, both healthy and not so healthy. The nieces and nephews section of the menu is undeniably cute. I started with a sumptuous long black served on a cute board with a tiny glass of sparkling water. This was as pretty as a picture. Lovely St Ali coffee on offer here. It’s hard to start a meal better for mine than having coffee of this quality. I ordered the brunch salad with grilled broccolini, broad beans, kale, avocado, beetroot hummus, walnuts and quinoa with pomegranate dressing. I added salmon and poached egg and feta ($2 only). The dish was well presented and was absolutely delicious. It’s a very healthy dish and a good sized serve. I couldn’t fault it. I thought it was a brilliant dish and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was excellent throughout. The staff were up and about. Attentive, polite and efficient. This is a terrific cafe. It would give a few highly rated inner city brunch places a run for their money on what I saw today.
I ordered the Lamb Shoulder, Seafood Risotto and a latte. All a must try!!! 10/10 Lamb Shoulder: The slow-cooked lamb shoulder at Aunt Billies is a true masterpiece. Tender and rich, the lamb practically melts in your mouth, a result of the careful slow-cooking process. The veggies - broccoli, cauliflower, and pumpkin nicely contrast the crisp asparagus. The quinoa and almond flakes provide a delightful nutty texture, while kale and spinach bring a fresh, vibrant touch. Accompanying the dish is garlic labne and pumpkin hummus, adding a tangy and creamy dimension. The warm baguette completes the experience, perfect for dipping into the flavourful hummus and labne. Highly recommend! Seafood Risotto: The dish combined tender tiger prawns and springy mussels with rich lobster bisque, creating a flavourful blend. The surprise addition of whole grain prawn added depth. The fresh tomato, chili, and garlic brought a zesty kick, balancing heat and tanginess. Truly outstanding! The latte showcased the quality of the coffee beans and milk – smooth and velvety.

Aunt Billies is where you need to go on the weekend to get your brunch fix ‼️ This cute brunch spot is located 3 mins drive / 10ish mins walk ♀️ from Blackburn train station We got: Beef Ribs Benedict - This is the ultimate classic, can-never-go-wrong dish that was soo tasty! Seafood Risotto - We never had risotto for brunch before so this was a treat! The seafood tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. The risotto had the right texture, not too soft with a bite to it Definitely something different that we’d have again! ☕️ Latte - A must for every brunch! We both ordered the same drinks cause it was rainy on the day and just wanted some warmth from a yummy cuppa. They also had some cute looking baked goods, definitely should get some next time! Overall, we enjoyed our time here and we recommend you to come & try their dishes!

I had an absolutely incredible brunch experience here with my family. Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted by friendly staff with beaming smiles, making us feel very comfortable straight away. I ordered the beef ribs benedict and strawberry milkshake. The food was incredible, with a generous portion size and nice presentation. There was an abundance of flavour and the combination of flavours was well balanced. However, the real standout was the strawberry milkshake was out of this world. As a self proclaimed strawberry milkshake connosiour, I was amazed by the rich flavour and the thick and smooth consistency. The strawberry flavour was strong but not overpowering and there was definitely no artificial flavouring. The milkshake was definitely by far one of the best I'd ever had and I could not recommend more.

Food was original and yum but service was not great. Firstly I booked a table, but they had no record of it when we arrived Secondly, one friend ordered a side of bacon- but they bought us out 2 serves. We sent one back, but they still charged us for 2. Thirdly, girl on register couldn't work out how to split bill, nor do a credit card payment- so I had to pay cash for my friend's meals. Upon later inspecting bill- we were massively overcharged....not just for bacon we didn't order or eat, but there was another item that we didn't order When I rang and left message asking for manager to call me back to discuss.... I got NO Response.☹️ Put a big dampener on what had been an enjoyable lunch

We were thoroughly impressed with this brunch spot - whilst the food is a little pricey, it is definitely worth it. The food was amazing (portion size was appropriate and dish was tasty I ordered the mushroom), staff weee super friendly and the tables were not too close together offering privacy but also were close enough so that it was intimate. We love that we could also bring our dog with us!! Can’t wait to come back!!

I loved it, i was looking for a different cafe in my area and decided to walk down to aunt billies with my 14 week old son and will definitely be doing it again. I wasn't sure if there was room for a pram at first because it was so busy but we manage with one of the staff giving me a nice seat with plenty of room for my baby. The coffee was very good the food even better. Everything was well presented and looked beautiful. The price wasnt bad. I really didnt have any complaints. Even the out door area was great had heating and was very comfortable Lovely staff very quick service and just had a great morning, very pleasant and im excited to have found such a lovely cafe in my area thats walking distance. Will be back and i highly recommend popping in.
Very pleasant outdoor setting that is semi "enclosed" and heated. Easy parking in church carpark. I had the shoulder lamb which I found to be rather too oily. Not sure I liked the spices that much. Friendly staff. Casual and family friendly setting. Good drinks menu. The French Earl Grey came in a teapot with loose tea leaves. Generous helping of tea leaves. Wheelchair accessible - no steps to overcome.

Great atmosphere with lovely guys serving in a very friendly manner. I’ve had the Mediterranean which was so yum and loved it, and all other friends loved their choices too. They’ve had good quality coffees as well. Very busy at the time and the friendly staff make everything so effortless and prepare it for you to enjoy your time. They’ve got an all-day breakfast and lunches menu, which gives you the comfort of going anytime and order whatever you like at any point in time in a day. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 was, I personally love places with some views or garden area for lazy Sunday brunches. (They located by the side of Surrey Rd, pretty busy as it’s close to the intersection)
We have all been to Aunt Billies Cafe on numerous occasions. Unfortunately today was not a good day. Food was presented nicely but all meals x 5 other than one meal - French Toast - were barely warm. Eggs Bacon Spinach mushrooms nearly cold and the toast was half cooked and you could hardly cut it as it was so hard. All meals were half eaten. Mentioned it to the waitress to tell the chef but no compensation offered. Hopefully chef/kitchen were having a bad day. Restaurant was not that busy either. Going on today we will not be back any time soon.

Had a lovely brunch experience here. The harissa scrambled eggs were perfect and the the coffee was great. Even though our server put through the incorrect order for one of this kids, she immediately went to correct it, and even gave a cookie to my neice as she was waiting so she didn't feel left out as everyone else ate their meals. Excellent customer service!

I ordered the Beef Ribs Benedict and Matcha Latte. The Beef Ribs Benedict is a morning treat like no other. Tender beef ribs on potato hash, topped with poached eggs, and a delicious mix of shallots, beetroot puree, and chipotle hollandaise sauce, all complemented by a rocket parmesan salad. Very friendly and fast service. It's a breakfast experience that's simply amazing. The matcha latte was smooth with a strong matcha taste - really soothing to drink. Aunt Billies is a must-visit!!

I had an amazing brunch at this place. The food was really tasty and looked great. I tried the Surrey Mushrooms – it was really delicious! Certainly under new management now. It's disappointing to see the decline in food quality. This place used to be a top choice for enjoying a Reuben sandwich, but what was served to me was inedible. The bread wasn't even toasted, and the garlic aioli tasted like low-quality store-bought sweet mayo. It appears the new owners are attempting to cut food costs, which is impacting the overall food quality. What was once a highly recommended 5-star establishment has now become a place I won't revisit.

What a great cafe in Blackburn north! The food was absolutely delicious and the coffee and chai latte were made so well. We had the breakfast platter and it had good tasty combination of haloumi, chorizo sausage and salad, the poached egg was slightly cooked over. The pulled beef Benedict was so delicious, only thing was that it was quite fatty so I couldn’t finish it, and it was cumbersome to eat in a bowl. The interiors are stylishly designed and renovated and the service was good. I’d still come back to try other meals and coffee!

Busy cafe in Blackburn with indoor and outdoor seatings. We ordered: 12 hour Lamb shoulder Fried Chicken Baos French Toast My absoulte favourite were the Lamb shoulder and the Fried Chicken Baos! The lamb shoulder was so tender and packed with flavours, while the chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. Both are simply tasty and delicious The french toast perhaps could use a little more sweetness. Their presentation however, was spot on I am keen to try their beef ribs benny and their seafood risotto next time! Definitely a must visit cafe if you’re in the area!⭐️

The breakfast was delicious and the coffee was ok. The ambiance is very appealing, although the plants are artificial. It is a very popular cafe and staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the toilet door doesn't lock properly. We advised the staff member while paying the bill. He suggested that it may get a bit stuck at times. Nevertheless, noone at our table was able to lock the door. Someone even opened the door when I was using it. Overall, it is a great cafe and the chilli scrambled eggs with the Middle Eastern touches in the food was amazing.
Friendly staffs and excellent service with delicious food. This tender soft texture of beef ribs goes perfectly with crispy outsides soft inside hash brown. The Salads and its special dressings provide a great balance in your tastebuds. You should not leave the cafe without ‘Wake Me Up’ fresh juice of watermelon, pineapple, strawberry and lemon. A great cafe that I will be visiting soon with friends.

We have been coming here at regular intervals over the years, and the “Feed Me” may not be “bottomless” anymore , but the quality and flavor is as good as ever. Amazing vibe as you step inside - the lighting, the atmosphere, the crowd Service was fun and relaxed (in a good way!) The food was all delicious. The salad was the standout dish - incredible mix of flavours & textures. Great coffee list too.. This place is so popular that booking way in advance is absolutely essential.
I recently tried the Surrey Mushrooms breakfast at Aunt Billies and it was absolutely amazing. The mix of mushrooms and fresh spinach, along with the delightful grana padano cheese, was expertly folded into golden eggs. This flavorful creation rested on a bed of perfectly toasted sourdough, elevated by the aromatic basil pesto. Strongly recommend!!

By far the best pancakes I have ever had in my life!!! There was an abundance of flavours and super filling too! Service was great and drinks were very quick to come out, but even at their busiest, food only took 15-20 mins, but was well worth the wait. Prices are very reasonable too! Will definitely go back for more! I went back for more - extremely disappointed. Poor attitude and average food. Huge drop in quality/service.
This was a great call to go to on a Sunday from brunch. It had a great atmosphere,Warm And charming. The chai latte was amazing. We chose to sit indoors. But the outdoor sitting arrangements looked very comfortable as well.3 of us ordered the breakfast with sujuk. Rea tasty and filling. The homemade pickles was a little too much for my tasting but went down with the meal. The place looks full but can always accommodate more people.
Such great service! Every time I go to Aunt Billies there’s a barista who asks how my day is and always makes an effort! She is truly a star! She has done great latte art too, made a cat for me once! I have look forward to getting more coffees made by her!

Aunt Billies Cafe is a hidden brunch spot in Blackburn located right next to a church. It has a super cozy ambience & also a cute shaded outdoor area ☀️ I’d highly recommend the beef ribs benedict! Service was fast and efficient. Food arrived quickly. Beautiful presentation and flavours were a hit. Definitely a nice hidden meeting spot in Blackburn right next to the church. Seating area had a lot of small tables. Would recommend booking if you have a larger number. Take away coffee and cake available with a nicely mini selection. Would definitely come again. Well done!
Another local brunch gem located on Blackburn road. They have a wide range of both breakfast and lunch menu with indoor and outdoor (sheltered) seatings The food here was mouthwatering!! The beef rib was nice and tender whereas the chicken bao stood out the most!! The chicken was perfectly marinated and was absolutely flawless. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Great Middle Eastern cuisine inspired brunch spot! Lots of tables, so we were seated promptly. Portions are huge, heads up - saw some people sharing dishes instead. The ‘Mediterranean’ seems to be a popular dish, and you definitely get a lot for the price. Plenty of parking at the church next door.
