Replacing iPad screen: Usually I would go to the Apple store to get my iPad/iPhone fixed but with restrictions currently going on due to COVID-19 and the Apple store being closed I came to the GSM store to see if I could get my iPad screen replaced because I use it on a daily basis. I went in to Highpoint to see if anywhere was open to get my screen replaced and GSM was open. They said they are able to fix it and I can pick it up around 1pm (it was just before 11am on a Friday when I went in). I was happy with that because it meant I could my iPad back that day. The lady quoted me $175 and I agreed. She asked if I wanted a screen protector, I declined because I couldn’t afford it. I later get a call from the store, asking if I could pick up my iPad the next day because they didn’t have my particular screen in stock and they have ordered one in for me. She said I could pick it up around 11am but they will call once it’s fixed. The next day I get a call saying I can’t pick up my iPad till Monday now. I asked “Why is that? You said I could pick it up yesterday and then you changed it to today. So why do I have to wait till Monday now?” She said it was because the screen replacement hasn’t arrived and they don’t open on Sunday, so I’ll have to pick it up on Monday. I wasn’t happy but I said okay. I should have just picked up my iPad and just brought it back another day or went somewhere else. And that’s what you should do. I picked up my iPad on Monday and looks a bit strange but it’s hard to examine because it still has a temporary lining on top that’s taped on. I check to see if the screen is in good condition and it seemed to be. When I got home I looked at it more intensely and there’s quite a bit of glue on the side creases also the screen doesn’t seem to be correctly inserted. I also find out my Touch ID no longer works and cannot be re-setup. At times some parts of the screen doesn’t doesn’t work (senses touch). I would not recommend this place because of the quality of service they provide.

Got a samsung touchscreen repair done by them. Costs $55 more than Official Samsung shop downstairs. Wasn't even close enough to the price Samsung charged for the service. Vietnamese female sales person with colored hair refused to charge close to Samsung's price for repair. I was told that $55 was for same day turn around time. I was still annoyed by the insistent abraisive attitude of the sales lady who didn't act pleasantly. Went in again a month later to repair my charging port. This time the manager Gary handled my concerns and advised me to talk to him directly. My phone was fixed for $95 and I felt better about the transaction this time as price was not too costly, I was provided with proper explanation and customer service was better. I still wont talk to that lady any more.

Don't do it. Tried to save a few bucks on a screen repair. The workmanship was rough with clear scratches and indentations where they'd removed the previous screen. Three weeks later and with no catalyst, the screen breaks. Not physically. That is still in tact. But the retina display is utterly screwed. All I can see is a few multi coloured lines down the right hand side. Everything else is black. The phone is still functional as I can view texts through my Mac and the phone vibrates when I receive them. Purely a display issue. I'm now left with a phone that's voided of warranty and a retailer highly unlikely to honour their work. Take it back the manufacturer. It'll cost a bit more, but you get what you pay for.

Took my work phone here for screen replacement. The alarm bells started ringing when I handed him the phone and he said “What’s wrong with it?”. I pointed out the 30mm crack in the screen and he shrugged as though I was being fussy choosing to replace the screen. I got the phone back 45 mins later. Glue all around the edge of the screen, even in the ear piece and a weird patch of light coming from an area of the screen that should be permanently black. Unfortunately I didn’t notice the patch of light until I got home. I’ll take it back next week. Let’s see if their customer service is as bad as their workmanship. Either way, I wouldn’t take your phone here if you want it taken care of.

Do not go here!!!!!!! Paid over $200 dollars for my Iphone to be fixed for water damage and was given a 3 month warranty and was told if anything at all happened to the phone i could bring it back. Phone was slow and and camera was all blurry. The touch screen started to not work - couldn't press my lock code to get in- so I brought it back. After that i dropped my phone and the screen had a small crack. When I brought it back The man on the desk was very rude to me and told me because the screen had a small crack they refuse the warranty because there is physical damage. I WAS NOT TOLD THIS WHEN I PAID!!!!!! I NOW HAVE A COMPLETELY USELESS PHONE. Do not waste your money. Scammers

Absolutely terrible service. Should be zero star. Replaced the battery but the earphone slot stopped working, the lady in the repair told me to come back next day to find the guy who repaired it, but she actually was doing repair. And she even said they were not responsible for the the earphone slot, and I told them you guys could simple open it and see if anything detached ( I saw troubleshooting on the web and it indicated should be something disconnected ) . The lady said won’t do it. And I asked them to give me tools i did it for myself on spot ( i didn’t have tool at home ) but they also refused. What a terrible service experience. Would never and ever go back . -:( .

The worst customer service I have ever experienced! the staff made a mistake with my phone screen protector, i asked for it to be fixed and they admitted they made the error(she had bubbles and dust under it). When they went to actually fix the issue, the girl couldn't be bothered and ripped of the screen protector and handed my phone back!! said nothing and when prompted, she said im not doing the screen protector again!! she said bc it will just keep failing and told me to go some where else! on top of that their stuff need to have a shower, the worst hygiene ever. Terrible quality of workmanship. Had to return twice do to poor quality of repair glue and marks left all over. Second visit was over 2hours wait due to complaints about not being able to do a simple screen replacement. Phone is now worse than before. Now that the 30 day warranty is over I'll have to get it fixed for a third time. Take photos of your phone prior to handing it in as they will play ignorant to new scratches. Highly recommend that you do not take your phone for repairs. Bad quality. Phone for repair was a Sony Xperia z3

Spent $210 dollars for what I was told to be a top quality screen replacement for my iPhone 6+. After completion my buttons were not recognizing, the sensor for disabling buttons going off when on call was not connected. I went back in and was told this is a damaged microchip within the phone, so I went to another phone repairer and for $160 he assured me this was my screen and changed it without any further trouble. STAY AWAY they are frauds!

Better than any other mobile repair shop I've been to, they explained what's wrong with my phone rather than just give me a quote and tell me that it will be fixed. Worst than one star unfortunately, they failed to repair my iPhone X after putting on two faulty screens. It was returned to me damaged and unusable. I was compensated $50, which I was incredibly unhappy with as I had to go buy a new phone. Manager of GSM World was also rude over the phone, deeply regret going into this store.

Better be clear before conducting transaction, they will not offer solution for mistakes they made. I bought expensive S22 Ultra phone cover and screen protector.
