I would like to complain about the unprofessionalism and racial discrimination that I witnessed at Epping Oxford Street Australian Post office. My mother and I were served by a lovely woman out of the two workers at that time, and we have no personal complaints. However, we were both shocked at the rather loud conversation right next to us. An old Asian woman was in the middle of an inquiry with a female worker when I overheard the strange replies by the worker. When the Asian woman asked, "Is this okay?" The worker sighed, and said: "It's not okay, but just do it if you want." I was shocked by the answer, and the woman seemed bewildered as well. Secondly, the Asian woman then talked the worker about a renewal, the worker sighed again and shoved a piece of paper in her hands saying, "This is why I said to just call the passport office!" Not only was this very loud, I severely doubt that this is a professional way of directing a customer. The Asian customer replied that "I am not very good at english, therefore it is very difficult for me to make calls." The worker said exasperatedly, "You're talking fine to me." The customer then stated that, "I can only speak simple english, it is harder over call." The worker then shrugged her shoulders, and the customer walked out of the post office. I found this incredibly infuriating to see, as a person who has a mother who struggles with the english language as well. I feel that there was no empathy or compassion for this customer, and that the worker was incredibly inconsiderate about their language barrier, and showed incredible frustration at the woman's speech. Finally, the most infuriating part was when the next customer approached the woman. As the man greeted the worker, the worker rolled her eyes, and started to make fun of the Asian woman to the new customer. She sighed, rolled her eyes, and said to the new customer, "simple english, how stupid." I am incredibly infuriated that the worker as the audacity to make fun and complain about a struggling customer to another. I feel that this is incredibly unprofessional and low behaviour. This woman was of an older age, with whitening blonde hair, glasses, of the white race and of a slightly larger build. I am describing this woman, as I do not want her to be confused with the other blonde woman who served me, who was absolutely lovely. I demand that immediate action is taken against this woman, and that the Epping Post Office is aware of this workplace negativity and discrimination. I am highly disappointed and infuriated at what I saw today. Thank you.

One star is already way too much for this POOR SERVICE. Worse worse worse customer service ever. Especially the semi bald woman staff who is always wareing a baseball cap, extremely rude attitude ever I've seen in Australia for the pass 25 years , as a customer service role or just purely her attitude as a stranger on the street. She make fun of every single NON WHITE customer, repeating the verbal English accent of different Asian customer, make fun with all Asian and yelling at old Asian customer etc. I can't believe what I've seen , isn't it actually illegal to play such discrimination attitude in a public service??? Does Australia really allowing racism happening in between a customer and a worker ??? It's was so crazy. And when it's my turn , as expected she is rude to me as well, I just told her off and trying to get a manager to complaint against her. Very unfortunate, she said there is no manager. And, the Asian lady with long hair and glasses, had much better customer service, but she aren't known what she is doing. Everything I question her about the parcel I am sending to Singapore, she gies "I don't know ", and disappointed with her unprofessional, she end up don't know what to fill in the custom declaration, I run back to ask her why is it empty in the section that should be a selection of the custom declaration category , she ask me , "oh how come ?? I don't know " like, are you really not joking??? She is the one who prepared all the documents, and she needs to be the one who should be familiar of what she is doing, should not be asking the customer what's and whys the error. Anyway, THIS POST OFFICE IS 100% NOT RECOMMEND! Most ever poorer experience of retail /customer service o ever seen for the pass 25 years living in Australia. They should either have change the whole team of staff and or just simply close down. A shop that allowing discrimination and racism, should not be allowed to run's on.

Does anyone who lives in an apartment encounter parcel delivery issue? First of all, since I live in an apartment, the postman will never ring my bell to let me come down to collect my parcel. This is totally understandable. I know the postman can just ring everyone who has a parcel and wait for them to come down. It just takes too much time. So instead he'll just leave a card in my mail box to direct me to the post office to collect the parcel. But I don't understand why they leave a red(urgent) card directly and expect me to collect the parcel in a week? I have lived in quite a few places over the past years, Randwick, Kingsford, Rosebery, Little Bay, Belmore, and now Epping. Except the Epping post office, all the other post offices will firstly issue me a blue or green card to tell me to collect the parcel in 2 weeks. If I don't show up in 2 weeks, they'll issue me a red(urgent) card to let me know if I don't show up in the next 1 or 2 weeks, the parcel will be sent back. So in total I have at least 3 weeks to collect the parcel. Compare to Epping post office where parcels will only be kept for 5 days? I moved to Epping on November 2018, is keeping parcels only for 5 days the new norm across the Sydney now? Or it only happens in Epping? I kept quite about this issue because I though I could deal with it. I just need to go to the post office as soon as I receive the red card. Right? But in April I ordered something from Japan, it would take 15~45 working days to arrive and no tracking so I had no idea when it would arrive. Then I was overseas for a week in mid June. When I came back, my parcel had already been shipped back to Japan. I was very upset. Sometimes there is no alternative for some of their services. Is this the reason they can be so bad?

I have had bad experiences with the staff and service in the post office but non of them really bothered me as long as i can get my parcels. But DO NOT get your passport renewed there if you do not have a driver’s licence. Awhile ago I went to the PO to get my passport renewed, I provided my almost expired Australian passport, birth certificate, medicare card, bank card, bank statement, student card, student transcript…but the lady won’t accept my application because I DO NOT HAVE A DRIVER’S LICENCE. Given that I was going overseas in less than 2 months’ time, it caused me so much stress and I went back THREE times to try anything that could prove my “identity”. The lady role her eyes every time she saw me coming back and was extremely rude, not helpful and unemphatic. What’s worst, she went to “check with her supervisor” and apparently they all agreed that without a licence, I cannot get my passport renewed. This is just so shocking, like are you saying that I’ll have to take a drivers licence test to be eligible to renew a passport? I just don’t get it?! My friend that did not have a drivers licence did the same thing at another post office and he got the app through right away. In the end, I didn’t even bother dealing with the staff given the fact that they are so unwilling and unhelpful, I just went to the passport office in the city and it only took me just 20 mins to get everything done, I provided all the required documents they didn’t even ask for a drivers licence LOL Given all the unnecessary stress, inconvenience and the traumatised experience the staff had given me, I would 100% rate it no star if I could.

I'd rate it 0 stars if I could. You always need your passport for pick up and they treat you parcels like toys. I came to pick up my parcel and the asain lady was swing it around carelessly. They clearly dont care about their customers as every time I've gone there, quite a lot over the past four years they've always treated the customers like an nuisance. They've recieved all of my school report cards as well as my acceptance/enrollment package. However they never delivered a single on, leading me to nearly miss my chance of enrolling. This has also happened with our bills. They never arrive, it was lucky my mother checked online or else. Its always under staffed, with an average wait time of 30-45 minutes. Some of it being slow customer service, other being the employees messing around and chatting at the back instead while playing with your parcels of actually doing their job. Honestly just read any of the other 90~ 1 star reviews. In conclusion it feels like the owner doesnt care about the post office and bought it for the constant cash revenue. This honestly gaves a really bad reputation to Australia post as no one I know who lives in epping have had an positive experience in our branch. However, no one will do anything about it as australia post has no competition on the post market. At least not here. I recommend trying to switch to the post office in eastwood.

Since everyone here is posting about the rude Asian lady, here is mine. So, my husband went to receive a parcel that was for him, he showed her the email with his name, tracking number and address, she asked for an ID, he showed her his passport (passports don't have Australian residency address). She refused to look for the parcel and asked him to produce a utility bill confirming the address. The bills are in my name, so I texted him a bill, she still refused to look for the parcel because "she had no way to confirm that I am his wife" and asked him to come back later !!! By this time my husband was already getting late for his work. Since it was the last day before Christmas and we desperately needed the parcel before Christmas break, he had to come back home, pick me, and go back to receive a parcel that was in HIS NAME! Once she saw him again, she blurted "Oh so now you are not late for your work?" We had no option but to ask her if we REALLY had to justify his job schedule to her in order to get his parcel. Then after wasting both of our time, she finally decided to look for the parcel and hand it over to us. I cant believe he could not pick up his parcel that was in HIS NAME by providing a valid passport, a confirmation email with address, a tracking number but somehow I could because I had the utility bill even though the parcel was not for me.

If I could give this post office zero stars, I would. I order items online so they can be delivered to my apartment, not so I can pick them up at the post office. They have not ONCE delivered a package to my door and I am always home. They NEVER leave package slips in the mailbox and give me an attitude when I say they didn't leave one. Today, I received the most horrendous customer service from the older white woman. She said my package was not at the post office and did not even bother to ask for tracking information. When I asked her to check she smirked and said she had checked "very well". Her tone was condescending and disgusting. When I asked her for her name she refused to give it to me and I had to ask another employee to help me. Of course, the package was there but she had not bothered to check correctly. I have repeatedly not received letters I was expecting in the mail. Recently, I was told an outstanding bill (that I never received notice of) was going into debt collection because I had not paid it. The smug attitude of their employees makes me resent walking into that place and I would much rather drive 30 minutes away to simply avoid ever having to deal with them. Their lack of respect and inability to do a simple task makes this easily the worst business I have ever dealt with.

  • Mergriette Mergriette

Worst auspost service ever and stupid. 1 lady seems to be overwhelmed by many things which understandable. But the rest were unhelpful. Slow. Unaware of the ridiculous line. The semi bald didn’t seem to know what to do, walking back & forth foolishly. While the other one, knowing the unbelievable line, still having chat with the customer in front me asking for the clothes she’s wearing and kept talking. Ridiculously, when it’s my turn and i just wanted to return, she didn’t ask my shipping barcode which I have prepared in my phone, but stupidly scanning the old barcode instead on the parcel when I already ask and show my barcode on my phone. Which im not sure why. NOW YOU KNOW WHAT?! THE PARCEL WHICH I WANNA RETURN, HAS COME BACK TO THE OLD PLACE THAT I PICKED UP BEFORE. DO I HAVE TO WASTE MY TIME ENERGY TO GET IT AGAIN AND TO RETURN BACK AGAIN?? I can’t believe what kind of stupidity i just witnessed in this branch. Very incompetent. Honestly they look like a bunch of moms who don’t have anything to do at home so instead just playing around there without proper training. Unbelievable:((

I had sent a parcel to my work so that I could avoid having to collect it, yet the delivery guy obviously could not be bothered to walk in and deliver it to reception and left a collection card in the mailbox instead. Upon arrival at the post office, there were 4 customer service officers there but only 2 served customers despite the long queue while the others cruised in and out of the parcel room obviously not doing anything. When it was finally my turn they refused to let me take my parcel because I had addressed it to my workplace and my details did not match. I made several attempts to explain and show them proof that I was the recipient but they refused to hear me out let alone even properly look at the documentation I was trying to show them. Their tone was condescending and they would rudely cut me off mid-sentence, putting me at fault. In the end they 'made an exception' and let me take my parcel, but only after humiliating me in front of the other customers. A suburb like Epping deserves better service. One star is too generous for the so-called customer service here.

Having moved here 8 months ago, I have NEVER received a card in the letterbox telling me there is a parcel to pick up at the post office. Even worse, when I go to the post office to pick up my parcel (after using the online tracking system to see where it is!) the very rude man at the front counter refused to look for it, saying they were too busy!! What the?! So, they won't deliver parcels to your door, won't leave a card saying they even tried to, and don't like you picking up parcels in person from the shop! I signed up for the 24/7 parcel service, thinking that then they MIGHT let me know when something arrives for me (sending an email or SMS). That didn't work either! Having ordered yet another parcel and the standard five days delivery time I was quoted having passed 9 days ago without it arriving, this is yet another stuff up where they have my item but won't deliver it and won't tell me it's there. Time to go the post ombudsman, the local newspaper and the local MP. Epping post office - MASSIVE FAIL!!!

  • thats hott aye

Not sure what people are sour about, but then again there will always be sour people. Yes, this post office can get extremely busy at times, but that happens at all post offices. I've been served by all the staff there, past and present, and have never experienced any disrespect or unprofessionalism, then again I don't disrespect people. I've also lived in Epping for 33 years, and our family has never not had a package arrive at our front door and we have a front driveway over 30 metres. However, if we weren't home, we'd be left a calling card under our front door and the item would need to be collected from the post office directly, this is the case with all items that cannot be left safe or require a signature upon delivery. Furthermore, the delivery drivers don't work for Epping or any post office, they work for Australia post, feedback needs to be given where it can be actioned. It's illogical to get upset at a branch when the driver isn't even associated with it.

The blonde lady on the front desk with the glasses is extremely rude. I visited the post office to collect a parcel and I handed the delivery slip to the lady and she immediately sighed at me and told me I can’t collect my parcel there and said I have to collect at the side hatch. Unfortunately I’m not a mind reader and I wasn’t aware that their processes had changed since my last visit. The post office was empty when I arrived in and there were 3 other store colleagues free chatting together. I don’t understand why she couldn’t just grab my parcel. I had to exit the post office and queue for 10 minutes to collect my package when the lady could have given me the parcel there and then. Very poor customer service. The management should really look into training their staff up on how to speak/deal with customers in a timely and polite manner.

  • DJM

I was served by a woman who told me the price for posting a parcel. The price was more than a previous quote from the same Post Office with the same parcel a few days ago. When I told her this she refused to serve me and passed me to another lady so I'm back in the que. The second nice lady's price was $1.40 cheaper which was my original quote. How many times has the first lady overcharged customers? She was just terse and completely unprofessional and shouldn't be serving customers. Behind her is the sign "Abuse will not be tolerated" I didn't realise that sign is to warn customers about some staff!! I now go to Carlingford Court Post Office who have really friendly staff, problem solved. It also appears that it is the policy of Australia Post to have a staff member who is a problem at every Post Office.

  • Abbey H

usually have good service here but today i went to ask a question regarding international shipping and the employee who served me was so rude! I asked about the different options and the cheapest rates and she was so impolite. As a young adult who, myself, works with the general public at my own job, i was so unimpressed at the lack of professionalism and even general niceness of the service she provided. made me feel small and uncomfortable and her attitude and obvious disinterest came of as snarky and being on the receiving end was not a pleasant experience. i understand the difficulties that come with working in retail and dealing with difficult customers, but it doesn't take much to be friendly and politely answer a simple question for customers you have never even met before.

  • Dora Lin

The staff here are ridiculously slow, which explains the constant lines out the door. They literally move at glacial pace despite the frustrated line of customers right in front of them. It makes picking up parcels a nightmare. Allow yourself at least 20 minutes for a task that should take less than 2 minutes. One of the problems is that there is no separate line for parcel pickup. Sometimes the line is held up by a passport application- seriously, put them in a separate line. It would be so much more efficient. Other times there is only one staff serving even though there is a long line. The other staff are milling about doing whatever else. I've been to this place many many times and it is always like this. God I wish there were other options.

  • BB

Very unprofessional staff. Not even worth one star. I went to collect my parcel and there were 6-7 people waiting. When my chance came, a middle-aged Asian lady could not find the parcel so she was taking her time to find it and that’s fine, I didn’t mind at all. So I called up my partner to ask him what kind of parcel it was as I was picking up for him. Then all of a sudden a white old lady came, looked at the queue and shouted angrily “oh for goodness sake why do they all have to come in now”. I was still on the phone and talking to my partner. And she shouted at me saying “I AM NOT TALKING TO YOU UGH” and gave me a face. Very humiliating experience, uncalled for.. The staff really needs to go back to school and learn basic manners.

  • Anez Narayan

Very rude and bullying staff (particularly one lady who works there). I was lodging a form and the lady asked me why I didn't bring my own pen from home?! Didn't realise there were prerequisites to visiting the post office.. I managed to grab a blue pen from the nice guy working next to her. After I signed the form she started lecturing me about signing in blue to which I said "I signed in blue because you didn't have any pens". She then grabbed her black pen from her pocket to my face and said "if there was a red pen I bet you'd just sign in red then huh?". To which I calmly said "no.. just in blue because there were no pens". Terrible rude service. She needs to get fired asap if the business wants to flourish

  • Wong Tracy

As the staff serving to the community, the basic respect and genuine service mentality are both essential. You are supposed to offer help and give information to the customers, instead of being arrogant and giving them the teachings. Throwing the driving licence back to the customer... announcing the customer’s full name loud publicly while giving her teachings... It was quite embarrassing and insulting. In contrast, her supervisor patiently explained and gave the information to me nicely. Unfortunately, I was served twice by the same arrogant staff. She seemed to pinpoint on me because she can be very friendly and smiley to the other customers as I observed today. You can smile, Miss Indian in red.

  • PouIan Cheong

Terrible customer service experience. Spent more than 20 mins trying to fill info for oversea parcel over the website. Due to the oversea postal address are in Portuguese the system can’t recognise it even when I put it in as English.. the Asian lady that serve me was very rude insisting that it’s my problem and said to me that all words should be written in English not foreign language. I felt so offended and I am very sure I have better English than she does than I am able to understand what the requirements and instructions were over the website. There was only one very friendly and nice English lady with pink top over there who was being very patient and willing to help.

  • Tiru Gram

The staff is incredibly rude. I waited in my queue 20 mins, which was long but I was ok waiting. While I waited I saw the staff being incredibly rude to the person in front of me. When it was my turn, I made sure to be polite and asked some queries about the process I needed for a specific international delivery. The woman was incredibly rude, and told me: next time before you come to the line you should have asked these questions. (? - isn't that what I was doing?). I think that attitude is completely unnecessary and more towards a customer who was been polite and just needed some help. No justification for such treatment

  • Mina Mtn

Its always a nightmare to go to this post office, and I avoid this post office as much as possible. It seems staff are enjoying to be bully and rude. The asian gentelman (no name badge on him) refused to lodge my passport renewal at 1620 pm. He said loudly and rudely "you need to come earlier, passport renewal is taking an hour, its lot of jobs!!!" I attended another post office and to my surprise it only took 16 minutes. He was rude and loud and he suddenly pushed my documents towards me, I was in tears when I left and as I was walking out, I heard other customers were telling him to be polite.

  • Marjan Seth

I thought long queue would be our main issue. But surprise! The rude staff member just ruined the day for us. She was extremely condescending from the get go, passing dismissive remarks. I told her I need to get my photos taken for passport and she just kept shaking her head in dismissive manner. Mockingly told my husband that he might be "the man to pay for her wife's passport". She is the old lady with short hair (of Asian background). She was extremely rude and had zero respect for customers. Do not come to this post office or you'll be fuming for the rest of the day.

  • D K Pow

Severely understaffed. Absurdly slow efficiency. Only two counters are open. I came here to queue every time for >45 minutes to pick up a parcel or package on Saturday which’s a total joke. Tip for you: avoid allowing things to be sent or redirected to this Post Office at ALL COST unless you’re prepared to stand on the street directly under sunlight/rain/wind before you manage to queue into the inside of the Post Office. Use the parcel locker or parcel collect at OTHER locations. As I have finished typing this review, the queue moved up by three people, yay...

  • Minji

Never fails to disappoint with terrible customer service. Even though I got a notification my parcel is ready for collection they don’t even try to look for it only because they haven’t sorted through new arrivals yet and because they are closing in 30mins and have to serve the rest of the customers? I’m also a customer who had been lining up for the past 15mins. Either change your notification system or be willing to help your customers. Customers come out of their way to trek to the PO and line up. I hope they take peoples time and effort more seriously.

  • Jim Wellsmore

This PO explains why AusPost will go out of business in a few years time. A franchise that outsources the delivery to a contractor - who can't manage anything large than a standard l letter. So AusPost advertises it can deliver parcels but what they actually do is leave it at the PO and send you a text message to go pick it up. But then the PO stopped its Saturday hours a few years ago. So I pay for a service but am expected to re-organise my work day because they cut corners. I prefer to deal with businesses that use other couriers to deliver parcels.

  • Malcolm Stevens

Never a problem. The people complaining here need to get a grip. Yes, I have sometimes had to stand in line, sometimes out the door, but that's hardly the fault of the staff themselves. I've seen some of the nincompoops the staff have to deal with on a regular basis through their working day and quite frankly, I admire the way they handle them without doing their lolly. Some of them really deserve the Basil Fawlty treatment but instead are helped to get through their transactions with a minimum of fuss. 5 stars from me (30 years an Epping resident).

  • J.K S

i would go 0 stars if i could. Basing this off my only interaction here, but i was served by a rude asian worker. Already having an unfortunate week with my phone being broken, but i also had to withstand her berating me to scan a qr code with my phone. Then i wanted to get my tax invoice for my shipping, but she refused me this service because it meant that she had to redo all the logistics involved and its not her job; then continued to fixate and scorn at the lack of having a phone. Like come one, i just want my invoice, who's job is this really?

  • S

Local regular here. I’ve personally never had problems with this place. The workers were always nice to me. Today, the lady patiently waited and complimented my clothes, nails, etc while I was struggling to get out post codes and more. She was the sweetest woman ever. She did have to tell off two customers because they were impatient and were trying to get ahead of line. I understand that people get frustrated because they are understaffed but honestly that’s not their fault. It’s not like they intentionally make their customers wait in line.

  • Kelly

There is a young lady is very rude, I'm not done with my problems still need more time to figure out, She kept saying “ you didn't listen to what I was saying at all, I've said it four times. If you don't understand, go back and read what it says on your email and paper, don't delay the guests behind you. ” I knew she had said it four times, but as a customer I didn't get a very clear explanation. I just needed her to be patient, I dont know why she was impatient to get rid of me. It took less than five minutes and was a very bad experience.

  • Joel Carlo

Whenever I have a parcel to be delivered it is never delivered to my place and I have to go to the post office every time. This morning I received a text asking how I would prefer to collect the parcel and I was suprised. I thought the services have improved. I chose delivery in person and someone will be home. I waited for the parcel whole day only to receive one more text in the evening to collect it from the post office again. Never experienced such consistent bad service ever in my life.

  • Leah J

I have never had a bad experience here! I come at times that I know will not be busy, to avoid waiting in a long queue. I have been served by multiple workers & they are extremely polite. I have often come in with a multitude of questions & they never hesitate to provide me with all the relevant information. This is something I respect about their staff. They are always willing to help. If you treat people with respect, they will reciprocate. At the end of the day the workers are human too!

  • Hashini Nirashika

the staff at the Epping Post Office have gone out of their way to help them with their anxiety. They take the time to explain the different options available for mailing items and answer any questions that customers may have. Overall, it seems that the anxiety job done by the Epping Post Office is highly appreciated by their customers. If you're looking for a post office that will make your experience as stress-free as possible, it sounds like the Epping Post Office may be a great choice.

  • Krish

I have seen really bad reviews of the place but so far being my neighbourhood post office I haven't had so many issues dealing with them. Collecting parcels have always been no issue, the only problem I see where people might be frustrated is the queue which ends up being pretty long most of the time, but that's not entirely the staff. I have seen clueless customers trying to get work done just wasting so much time. Having said that, yes the whole process can be so much more streamlined.

  • Riz Salinas

This place doesnt even deserve one star. Looking through the reviews confirmed that the old Asian lady working there is absolutely rude!!!! I felt humiliated and embarassed in front of other customers because of her attitude and hostility while serving. If you think the customer may need some more information or explanation, then provide it to them. Not roll your bloody eyes or raise your hand at them, implying to stop asking a question!! Such poor attitude and service needs to STOP!!

  • yuxiang cao

It was during Covid time and I have parcel to pick up. I went there by 4.40 and being asked to wait outside and line in the queue. Well, that make sense. And then around 4.55 I am the first one in the queue in front of the door. Their staff ask me to wait and then at 5 pm and exactly 5 pm that same staff close the door and told me they closed. So if you don’t understand what means by customer service you should not run this business for Epping community

  • Faisal Shubo

Can't believe the semi bald lady is still working here. She has the worst attitude ever and even made fun an asian person in front of me for mispronouncing a word. Crazy. She is an old staff I know that because I went here as early as 2022 and she was there mistreating people, it was sooo much worse back then, she is a little better than before but you can see it in her body language she does not care to look for a parcel you want checked.

  • Rownak Nowrin

No delivery person shows up and just leaves a pick up email. I went to pick up my order showed my pick up email and provided my ID, I had recently moved houses so new address stickers hadn’t arrived yet. The lady said I cannot pick up my order because address doesn’t match, even though I didn’t take a paper slip, it was MY PHONE and MY EMAIL address. Another time over charged me for documents delivery. Horrible business hours

  • caryle deaver

The worst by far! First and last. Take a tip from the haymarkets post office. Fast and polite. This one is at a snails pace. All the time in the world. Perhaps need a new supervisor and up on their trainning. No wonder there is always a line because it hardly moves. I was served and got interrupted then had to get back in line! Then she had me wait again because someone was dropping something in the back so 3 interruptions.

  • Rachelle Rachelle

The lady with the short grey head (number 1 or 2 shave) was patronising and huffy about her job. She made me the customer feel like an inconvenience for simply wanting to use the auspost services. I was polite however she was curt in her tone with me. Now in covid times I understand things are tough but I won't return here because I can receive a better service with more polite and kind staff somewhere else.

Went to pick up my parcel. The old lady tells me to register a pick up card?? Told her maybe next time and showed her my drivers licence. She then says she cant give it to me cos the delivery address is diff to my residential address??? I asked her ok if i brought my passport (which was one of the ID options) how does that work??? No answer. Tells me she wants to see licence + passport. USELESS OLD LADY.

Waited so long to do my passport renewal that I just left. I waited in line just to be told that i had to wait for another staff to finish with a customer as their was only one staff responsible for doing the passport renewal while other staff we're either idle or serving other customers who were coming after me. This is unacceptable! Whoever lines up first should be served first regardless!

  • Debbies Grahl

If you ever go to this post office, make sure you ask for Jenny, she's been looking after me and my tons of parcels weekly, always has a smile on her face and makes sure I get the best of the services offered, this woman is truly a gem and so hardworker. Some comments on here need to chill out, specially the racist ones. People are trying their best in this trying times, be patient!

Update Jan 2024: Closed again on Saturdays AND Sundays Apart from that service is fine. Though it's a busy busy post office. Make sure you aren't in a terrible rush when going ! There's usually a slow-moving queue. They definitely need to hire more people, given the increased living density in the area. I don't think they can keep up with the apartments.

  • Amit Chaturvedi

Despite of bad reviews, my experience here is good. Yes, the wait time is long but then if there are 2 staff members serving 20+ people, it will take time. And they do answer your all questions and help selecting the right parcel. Plus, they have photo service which makes further delays. But this is not in their control. They provide a good service.

  • Miguel Andrade

Probably not the fastest service around but you need to consider the ratio people/staff. I NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH OF A PROBLEM I believe the post is an essential service and should be more available to the public - should never close on weekends or too many public hols days in a row. Nothing to do with the staff, I think it's a managerial flaw.

  • Linda Chen

Update - staff have changed since my last review and are a lot friendlier as well. August 2020 Got charged the Large Letter postage for each card I sent ($2.20 instead of $1.10 each), despite my card not meeting the Large Letter dimensions. Make sure to check what you should be paying as you may be overcharged.

  • Kam Chan

Always taking more than 10 minutes in average for each customer serving. Always counting cash over their tills for no reason. Another appalling Australia Post franchise. Why there's no post office in Eastwood? Lidcombe Post Office is the most efficient one across the Greater Western Sydney apparently.

  • A Tang

If you like to be served by rude, and unprofessional people, get overcharged for sending any kind of postage, then this is the place to go. They don't care if there is a cheaper alternative for your postage. Yes, I said 'people' as I have received similar treatment from different staff members.

  • Bartholomew Tan

Lots of bad reviews here but have had fairly decent experiences here for the past 3 visits. I do agree with the comments that the staffs here could be nicer - some of them do give you the ‘unfriendly’ and ‘intimidating’ look. Might be an Auspost thing - never been served with a smile.

I am a stay home person and I saw no postman visited our street last week. I supposed to have an eBay order via Post arriving between last Wednesday to last Friday, and now is Monday 12:38pm the item is still yet to be seen. Not seeing a postman so far in our street today either.

  • Priya Kumar

I hate going to Epping post shop. Very unprofessional service and staff, especially the Asian lady with grey hair! She is so rude to the customers! I went Epping Post on my lunch break and had to wait 30 minutes in the queue because the staff were so slow and were chatting away.

  • kwun him wong

Really bad service here! When I ask questions about my daughter’s passport, one of the south east Asia lady just tell me go to other post office to do it! Also most of the staff is lazy and work very slow here! This is the most worst post office in Australia!

  • John Abordo

At least have the decency to not leave a card saying I can pick up my parcel on a Saturday if you're not open on a Saturday. Which is garbage service too, Epping isn't the middle of nowhere so why do people have to take time off work to pick up a parcel?

  • Arun Kumar

I went there many times. Especially for parcel collection, photo and Identity card. The staffs are always very polite and do their work very sincere. When I take photo they show me more than 3 times and get my nod then only they taken the print.

  • M C

Have been living in Epping for 2 years now And never once had good experience about this post office. Rude staff and no attempt to deliver home With so many complaints can AUS post do sth? Change staff maybe? Close and reopen???

  • Hong Zhang

Despite all the bad reviews here. My experience here has always been postive. You do have to pick a good time to visit as it always queue up all the way out of the door. Try 10am-12pm if you’re local lol stop complaining people

  • Blye Auer

Please open up for half a day on a Saturday again extremely inconvenient for people who work Monday to Friday 9-5 can not get to the post office. It used to be open on a saturday for half a day please bring this back.

  • jaseer tk

Extremely long queues these days, as it seems the deliveries (even small packages) are not being delivered to customers and everyone having to go the post office for pickup.. resulting in ridiculous queues

  • Artin HB

I can’t believe what I’m seeing, they are very slow. At least 4 of them need to work but always there is a person on duty. It’s nightmare if you want to collect your parcel, it takes half an hour at least

  • Amita Handa

Ladies specially manager is very rude, and non cooperative. These ladies try to delay the services so they don’t need to help. However I would give 5 star to lady called Jeniffer. Very lovely she is

  • Jake

How is there no self serve pickup in 2022? How many decades do you guys need to get with the program? I shouldn't have to conform to your ridiculously tight opening hours just to pick up my package.

  • erica h

Honestly if I could, I would give it like less than a star because I literally experienced the worst customer service in my life from the male worker. If you can avoid this post office at all cost.

  • M. Reza Razavi

Most of the time is very busy, because Aus Post doesn't leave parecels at the addresses' outdoor. In the office, almost all the staff there are slow, although they are very polite and caring.

  • Margaret Sargant

Epping Post Office seem to be holding mail until a complaint is lodged about no delivery. Have also had mail returned to sender for no reason. Don't see a postman in this street most days.

  • zhengdao yan

For about 3 years since I moved to this area, I never got a package delived. They said attempted but not, and at the end of the day they just sent a message asking me to pickup. Awful!

  • Marilyn MCC

Staff have always been friendly and helpful. It can get busy at times, but not the staff’s fault. They do their best to facilitate customers as quickly as possible.

  • B

The white lady manager and her Indian junior staff on Saturdays are both so rude. Let's fire both them and replace the post office team! Both absolutely useless.

  • Nelly

If I could give a -5 rating, I would. Extremely poor service with a long queue in the afternoon. Not open on Saturdays like other post offices.

  • Antonia Bennett

Often understaffed but remain calm, friendly & knowledgeable. They patiently provide many services from passport photos to banking etc.

  • Olivia F

epping post amazing every stuff amazing. Rude slow Pls study how to use aupost app!!
